Seems like I am the only one who had a good experience here. I've been on an ATT family plan with my dad and brothers for 13 years. It was time to get my own plan. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon and talked to Daniel (a really nice Polish guy) to ask about options for plans with a new phone and pricing. We found a plan that works for me. I would've signed up right then, but my dad had to call and release the number from the family plan. He did that Saturday morning. I came in Saturday afternoon and asked for Daniel. Everything went to plan and pricing was exactly as he told me the day before, no surprises!! I walked out with a new iPhone 6s Plus and new plan for $85 a month. Thank you Daniel!! read more

This store decided to open a line (which does not work) and have been charging us money for almost a year totaling at least $1500. They are having us talk to support because they do not know how to fix the problem or just don't want to give us our money back. We have only 3 phones but get charged for 4 lines and the last one does not even work! They opened this line without letting us know and have been charging a useless line! I went to AT&T to upgrade my mom's iPhone3G to the iPhone5 on 6/2/13. I went ahead of time to make sure they still had the promotion to trade in a smart phone and $100 for the iPhone5 as advertised on TV. I am the main account holder for the family plan so I found a location that was most convenient and easy to find between my mom and I. When I returned the 2nd time to complete the upgrade, WAJIH R was very helpful. #1 Make sure you aren't in a hurry to go anywhere. Waiting for a representative could take up to an hour. The whole upgrade process (and waiting time) took almost 2 hours. #2 Trading in your smart phone? Make sure the condition is "re-sellable," meaning no cracked screen. My mom had dropped her 3G and it was having issues holding a charge, therefore she wanted a new phone. That requirement wasn't mentioned till after my (almost) hour long wait. Thankfully my boyfriend had an extra 3G sitting around and wasn't using, so that was used for the trade-in. Overall the upgrading process was smooth. Most of time spent was waiting around to get helped and setting up the phone. Wajih was helpful in setting up the phone, going over the fine print, suggesting which Shared plan was better (since I have a iPhone4), offered to transfer my mom's contacts to the new phone, etc. read more

I went to this store yesterday 12/24/12. I purchased a phone from a Radio Shack in Hayward for my mother I brought it to the radio shack in Livermore and they were just rude... The point I am getting to is that Serena here at this location was awesome! I came in she helped me out and I was out of the store in no time. She answered all my questions and activated my mothers cell phone with no questions asked. I always go to the other stores first and then I always end up at the "real" AT&T stores...from now on I'll just start there and won't have to worry about getting bad service first. I am very disappointed by the LACK of service at this store. I was in the store to buy a simple accessory (charger cable). The lady who signed us in was kinda rude rushing us for our name and attempted to ask a few questions about headphone which originally brought us to the store. Wife did not like the selection so turned our attention to the charger cable. Stood around and sat down for approximately 10-15 minutes to make the purchase. 3 workers (1 worker went to the back a few times; the other 2 sat at tables with customers and it appeared to just conversations.) we had enough, get up and walk out the door and no one says a word to us. As we get in the car, the not so friend worker walks her customer to the door with no bag in hand. Seems like she should / could have said be right with you before we walked out. That could have salvaged this review. Sorry I must mention, there was another worker (possibly manager) who was leaving work as we were walking through the door. If I could give zero stars I would. I came here because I had a question about my bill, basically I paid off my installment on my phones but I paid off a free one by mistake. Long story short, the assistant manager, Maneer, was talking to the person that was helping me and I could hear them talking even though they were across the room. At the end of their conversation he said that I'd need to call customer service to solve my problem, which was all good but he had to end their conversion with have fun". What an a**hole. Would Give 0 stars if I could....my issues with this store and very junior employees including managers are many after just two visits. They completely contradict customer service peeps on the phone and don't mind sending you down hours of circles. I just needed to add my Google Fi phone number to a new phone on ATT which seemed an impossible task from this store. Not a review of one particular store, but overall customer service experience calling AT&T about an online wireless accessory purchase. Spoke to 7 different reps about a cancelled order for a Sonos speaker accessory and no one was able to help. The item was backordered in April and I was able to place an order for a future shipment. An email said it was delayed until May 15. Then on May 14, I get an email that says the order is cancelled. When I call customer service, they say it was cancelled due to being over 30 days. If I knew it would be cancelled, I would have bought the item from another company. The Sonos speaker was normally $199 on sale for $99, so this is a huge loss for me. The 7 representatives I spoke to were not helpful, just transferred me to another number, said the next person would solve the issue, only to be transferred again and again. After the 7th person and waiting on hold numerous times and giving account and order information repeatedly, I just gave up. read more

Worst customer service. The retail sales manager Jacob is the worst. He great you at the door and he ask you what you need... but don't want to listen. Very arrogant. They are super nice to you when you are there to buy but when they promise you credit they are super slow to respond. They have nothing to do with you cause you are a problem customer. Took them more than a month and two store trips to get our store credit fix in our bill. You might ask why we need to go to the store? OK everybody in this store wants to sell you something. They lied to me about a product being 100% and he promised there won't be any charged but surprise we are getting charged. He was no help so I went to another store and the guy was more than helpful and told me some people will do anything and it meant anything like lying to customers and etc just to get commission. The AT&T store in Livermore CA is like shopping for a car at a used car lot! The Managers (Max and Jacob) we're as bad as the employees. It was almost comical how my wife and I were treated. We had purchased some items for Chrsitmas and were told we could return our items "at no charge", no stocking fees, no termination fees, etc. until Jan 2nd. The sales Rep (Alex) kept saying "trust me I'll take care of you", which we should have known that was our first clue.. Like I said, The whole expierence was like shopping for a car; down to the sales tactics, false promises and willing to tell you anything to get your business. Every time we had a question, Alex would disappear in the back to talk to Jacob, the manager. The manager never wanted to meet us face to face and the rep was gone for 15 minutes at a time. We were there for almost 2 hours. Once we were finally done we asked to get the manager's business card in case we wanted to come back and return something. Sure enough we decided to return some items (within the time frame) and it was a disaster. Alex avoided us like the plague and the Manager on Duty (Max) had memory loss of our conversation. To sum it up the people at this store will do anything for your business including telling you things you want to hear and then not standing behind this word. I don't have a problem with store policies and how AT&T needs to conduct their business. What I have a problem with is the lack of trust, integrity and bold face lies. Went in for some help making an insurance claim on a stolen phone. The woman working was not very helpful or friendly at all. Basically gave me a number, rushed me through verbally what to do and walked away. I asked her if she could help me handle this in store and she said its quicker to do it online or call. I told her I dont have a phone to do that so then she directed me to the store phone. The person I got through to at customer service sounded drunk and slurring their words so I had to hang up and get upset and finally another guy came over and said he would help me do it in store, which i originally asked the girl to do in the first place. We couldn't get though in store so I was back to the phone in store, which the guy did end up helping me with, only because I had to get pretty upset to get them to do anything. reason for 2 stars is I feel like I shouldn't have had to do everything myself theh get upset before they provided me a decent service, just needed some basic help. So here it is - possibly my worst review ever. It is a complex web though and requires a bit of detail to fully understand how ATT treats its customers as a corporate entity. Sorry, ATT store "B" on the Google map, you got the dirty end of the stick I suppose. Had they been open during published hours, the "A" store would have gotten the flack. Life sucks. In my sordid story - you will have to make up your own mind where the fault lies - the local ATT store, ATT corporate, the maker Samsung, or Amazon wireless. I know that Amazon-wireless and Samsung both tried to help.. In the Beginning... there was a Samsung Rugby i847 smartphone ordered from ATT partner Amazon-wireless. However, after the initial joy obtained from any new tech toy, I found it won't really hold a charge for more than a day, even in airplane mode. I spend about a week trying to figure out if it is me, some applications I installed or something else. I even did some troubleshooting with Samsung online. That proved unfruitful so I asked "It won't be a problem that I bought the phone on line, will it?" "Oh no, no problem." So I figure "I'm an AT&T customer and I'll just take it into the local store store (the subject of the review). They will help me." After locating the first store (see separate review for the "A" store in Livermore) closed on Sunday in opposition to hours published on line - I found this, the second store, was actually open during the hours published. Oh joy. They did intercept me at the door and took my information down. So far so good I think. Then the fun began - a pretty brunette woman (PBW) in her late teens or early twenties takes my phone from me and proceeds to do nothing more than wake it up every time it goes to sleep (touching it gracefully with her nubile fingers every 15 seconds), never so much as taking the back off or attempting to remove the protective cover I'd installed over it. As she does this she tells me that the local ATT store won't help me with a phone I bought on line. I'm frustrated asking "At what point did I NOT become a customer of ATT? Amazon-wireless is an ATT partner - and I also had to sign up with ATT to activate the phone that says ATT on the front panel." She assures me that if only I had bought the phone at a brick and mortar ATT store - I would be covered any where I moved (I asked the always-popular hypothetical "What if moved away to Timbuktu?" question). "Oh, then it would be covered.", says PBW I'm an engineer so I start asking engineer questions like "Don't you guys have fixtures and diagnostics in the back room? Samsung said you have a "dummy battery" fixture that would allow you to test the phone to see if it was burning too much current, etc, etc" and that you could check the startup application list to see if there were applications that were known battery burners, etc, etc.". No, they don't have any techs. I leave disgusted... The PBW was never rude, acted reasonably apologetic, but never really approached "helpful". Noticeably absent was any attempt to pick up this disgruntled ATT customer and walk them through the process of becoming satisfied. No "Please call ATT customer service - here's their number." No that didn't happen. Zip, zilch, zero, nada - "I'm sorry" was all I got. From the point of view of this store's review, they are off the hook. Did they do anything wrong? I couldn't really tell - but I surely regretted buying a phone on line at this point. Off to the house again. To advance the story, though, I must go through what Amazon said. I tell the CS guy (very helpful) - "I feel like I bought this off the back of a truck... You probably should tell people that they will have to deal with this on-line if they ever have a problem." The guy there says "No, we have a partnership with ATT and their local stores are supposed to help you even though you bought it from us." He asked for the store information and said this was a problem he'd report to ATT corporate. Wow - I think - okay so the independent ATT stores probably have to eat this or are severely under-compensated for supporting partnerships that basically put them at risk. Amazon is the Great Satan eating their lunch, but if ATT says local stores must support these customers - someone should tell the stores. Long story short, if you buy a phone on line - expect that you might have similar issues. To Amazon's credit, they sent me a same day shipper by email and by Tuesday I should have a new phone. But that is a different review, isn't it...? This review is for an ATT store that is not apparently supporting a contract of the corporate entity and if they were going to waste my time, probably should have flagged me as the "bastard red-headed stepchild customer" they thought I was as soon as I walked in the door, punching in my customer information and making me wait like a moron to find out that they weren't equipped to do anything for me anyhow. read more

We went in today after my bf's I tunes account was hacked by a Chinese account and his iMessages was not working shortly after after we covered our bases with I tunes, we were told to go into our provider and have them deal with it so we did. After the second trip to AT&T we were helped out by a younger man with a beard who told us the same thing we had been told before to sign in n sign out of our iTunes account. Since that did not work we decided to change his phone all together with a old iPhone we had in the past. That did not work, so we were asked what we planned to do and after we said we were not looking to buy a new phone, who ever helped us pretty much made the gesture of giving up on us. The man helping us suggested we do a factory reboot and switch out SIM cards from broken phone to old phone, and that he would help us out with it. Then he walked away and didn't come back, so we waved down another male employee; who was just watching the football game like most employees there, he helped us out in less than a minute with our issue, even though it did not help out our cause we would have been a lot happier to try that out the first 5 minutes we walked into the store. 1 hr to try to factory reset out phone is not realistic. Then we overheard the first male make excuses to the second male on why he didn't help us out!! If you want to go into this store and ask for tech support I suggest you google it, since most of the people who tried working with us, we're not sure what to do with our problem. Totally inept. AT&T technicians didn't come to the first appointment made and didn't rescheduled. I went in to this location to reschedule because it's easier to get the Secretary of State on the phone than a live customer service representative from AT&T. Instead of rescheduling my existing appointment, the manager and a sales person Re enrolled me in another program so they they could get credit for the sale, which took 30 minutes. I have patience for a trainee getting up to speed, but not for being encouraged to hit a sales number at the expense of customers service. Number one in customer service. Alex did an amazing job transferring service from one AT&T account to another. He recommended services that would cover us and save us money. I have never been more impressed. There are several wonderful reps here. The other rep that I rate the highest in customer satisfaction is Choka who helped me after a long wait in the iPhone 6 release. I'm so frustrated. I went in to get mine and another person's on my plan phone switched. And in the meantime I asked her if they had tempered glass covers for my iphone. I figured it would be a bit more expensive in the store than elsewhere, but I was there so I thought I'd ask. She said yes, and before I had a chance to really decide (she didnt even hand me the product) she took it out of the package and simultaneously said "I can do it for you" while installing it on my phone she was working on. So she did it and told me the cost was $38. Holy crap. But whatever. I got in the car and messed around with the phone and all looked okay. When I got home and in a different light all of the sudden I notice several bubbles and dust on the screen cover. Anything I did to try and fix it made it worse. So I look on line for tempered glass covers and find out I can get one on amazon, with good reviews and a life time warranty for $8!!!!!! So not only did I spend $30 more dollars than I needed to. But I spent it on a product that is now worthless because she didnt install it right. After she didnt even give me time to think about it or tell me the price before already taking it out and installing it. Frustrated. I could have thrown a fit in the store or gotten pushy. But I dont know how to be that way. Sucks feeling ripped off by my provider and the whole thing felt pushy and sloppy and really expensive. Off to amazon to fix their mistake. read more

I came in because I couldn't take care of replacing a stolen phone online or over the phone. The sales reps were all watching a ball game and screaming at the TV the entire time I was in the store and I couldn't hear anything being said. The process to replace the phone was time-consuming, convulted and ultimately didn't work because they gave me a SIM card in hand for a phone I was mailing to my sister long distance. They said they would send her a second SIM. Of course, they did not and she lives in a rural area and cannot get to an AT&T store to replace it. So now I get to snail mail my sister's SIM card. You would think AT&T would know how to deal with safely replacing a stolen phone. Additionally, I had to change plans to replace the phone, which then snowballed into having to replace my other sister's phone because it was "too old" for the new plan. I really didn't need the new unlimited plan because my current plan would go to unlimited after the fast internet GB is used up. Now I get to pay a ton of money extra every month. Yay. Also, this long process is unsafe during a pandemic. I shouldn't have had to go in person to do this in the first place but the in store method was unnecessarily long too and could have potentially exposed me to COVID-19. Shame on AT&T. read more

I was so disappointed with the AT&T Store and its employees today. I have bought at least a half a dozen phones from them for my family and hence am no stranger to their store. I purchased another phone from them less then 2 weeks ago (12 days to be precise) and it completely shut down. I did not drop it; water did not get on it; it just would not turn on. In other words, it was a faulty phone! The store would not replace it and said I must go to the Apple store (located in another town) because "that's their policy". The manager did not even come out to tell me this but just sent her employee to tell a customer who spent $1300 on a product 12 days prior to essentially get lost/it's not our problem. I get it...perhaps it is AT&T policy (a crappy one) but it's also your job to exercise your critical thinking skills, manager. After all, isn't that why you get paid more the gal in the front?!? It is your job to evaluate the situation and SEE that it was your store that sold the faulty product and hence should do something to resolve it for the customer. Replace the phone and deal with Apple yourself maybe? Call Apple and tell them what is going on to get me in right away (so I don't spent an additional two and a half hours of my day waiting there!). I don't know...come out and console me and apologize for the terrible inconvenience your store and it's policy have burdened me with! What I learned from this very unfortunate experience is this...do not buy your from from the service provider (especially AT&T...I have no experience with the others; perhaps their policies on customer service are better). Just go to the Apple store and get your phone there; they offer all the service plans there and the employees know what they are doing and are more willing (and apparently capable...per policy) to assist you and resolve your issues. It's just easier and when things go wrong, you're apparently going to have to go there anyway...so why not just start there in the first place? That is what I intend to do from here on out....my new policy. read more
