    Let me preface this review by mentioning that I take very good care of my cell phones. My last one…read moreI had for 4 years, but it was time to upgrade to something faster. I went to Universal Phones in Everett and bought a Galaxy S10+ . When Dia, the sales lady, asked me if I wanted to purchase tempered glass and a protective case for an additional $50, I agreed, let's do it. I immediately noticed that the case didn't seem to fit well, that there were issues getting the side buttons to work thru the case. I was assured that everything was fine and my phone had "good protection" now.  Well the tempered glass didn't even last 3 weeks. I noticed a chip on the edge of the glass, which quickly formed into a crack across the entire faceplate.  I removed the tempered glass, and the case seemed to fit better, I could actually press the side buttons thru the case now. Three months later,  the case is useless.  The plastic around the charge port was pretty thin, and it began to break apart. Today the whole side of the case cracked and broke off.  Absolute garbage! For $15, they will replace the tempered glass, but considering they didn't set it properly and chipped it the first time, I wasn't going to give them more money for ltheir incompetence. They prefer you to pay them with cash, but I don't walk around with $400 in my pocket, so they charged me an additional $15 for using my debit card. Just a total money grab. I'm hoping someone will find this review helpful and save them from being suckered. Don't waste your money at Univeral Phones.

    I heard of this place from offerup while searching for a phone…read more I was searching for an IPhone Xs Max & stumbled upon an individual posting for this company with a long list of phones that week that were supposedly on special. The other deal I had with a private party fell through so I decided to stop in their store. One weird thing is they only accepted cash app as a form of payment... They only had one XS Max so I didn't get the option to choose I also picked out a couple accessories but when I got to my car I looked at my receipt and it was nearly $200 more than the original ad claimed it would be!!! I immediately went back inside and was shut down and told because of the color and condition of the device I wouldn't qualify for the special that that specific one had already sold and that i I could not get a refund!!!! BS!!! All their phones are said to be "grade a" and the color of the phone is irrelevant for all major phone carriers and price difference!!! They offered no sort of solution and pretty much said oh well RUDE!

    I went in on a Sunday and met Sabrina. I told her I was a teacher, single mom and tight on money…read morebut desperate for a new phone. Boost Mobile was not allowing any kind of new device for monthly payments (at least not for phones under $400 ). My phone was chugging, calling me, shutting off and restarting without prompt. The camera only took pictures on every seventh click. She reviewed devices with me honestly. She priced it out and printed out the total cost. I went with AT&T because they give discounts to teachers. I work til 6pm during the week and wasn't sure when I could come in again. I did come in the next day at 6:45, just because I trusted Sabrina. She stayed late to help me with my device and new plan. She was nice to my kids and gave them paper to draw on. She even helped with spelling words. She knew I couldn't make it in the next night because of my daughter's piano practice. She gave me her phone number in case I encountered any trouble. When I had trouble with the new phone set up, after hours, she connected with me and made sure I was set-up. This is a great deal, a great phone and above and beyond service. Promote her.

Store manager named TOM is the biggest idiot I have met. He is not even understanding the problem and just blaming Tmobile coz I switched to them. I had a switcher offer where AT&T gave some gift cards to pay off TMO phones when I was switching from TMO to AT&T. AT&T service was so PATHETIC that after 9-10 months I had to gi back to TMO even thogh AT&T was so less money out of pocket. NO ONE told me that I cannot switch before 12 months else these reward cards will be charged to me. When I am at the store, the other rep printed out something and gave it to me read which had that if you switch before 12 months, rebate wil be reversed. Even when I went to the store to pay off AT&T devices to I can switch back to TMO, the guy in the store did not mentioned that I am trying to switch before 12 months and hence you might be charged for the rebate you got before. Store manager TOM said it ist TMO fault who did not verify a step. I was surprised to hear that since TMO has nothing to do with AT&T switcher offer. THE MOST REDICULOUS customer service, THE MOST PATHETIC store people. When I asked TOM is last name, and employee ID, he said he would absolutely not give me that. 2 CENTS - NEVER EVER buy AT&T phones. The reception sucks - you cannot even go into a store as they do not have receptions there. You cannot go north towards Marysville, Phones do not work there I wish I could give ZERO stars

But when I called the store, I was very disappointed. A young woman answered at about 11 a.m. I didn't understand when she said her first name due to the phone connection. I asked if she could help me with the spelling so I'd know who to ask for when I came to sign up. She grew very rude and refused to tell me. She demanded that I travel all the way to the store to learn her first name. I am retired after teaching overseas and I speak a few languages. I don't know if she is sensitive about a cultural issue. Nevertheless, her rudness during my first contact with Cricket did not make a positive impression for Cricket or make me want to become a customer. If staff refuse to clearly share their names, how can managers be alerted about a need for staff training? I sent an email to Ms. C. Brown in Cricket administration to ask for help and a reply. I didn't receive any help or any reply. The employee's rudeness, and administrator's not replying, persuaded me to choose a different phone service. I met a wonderful staff who gladly share their first names and who reply to customer emails.

I tried every troubleshooting suggestions and nothing worked. I went in to ATT and Saad helped me. He was absolutely wonderful! Very professional and yet personable. Knew what the problem was and started working on fixing it. Unfortunately during the process of fixing it, while trying to put a new eSIM card on my phone, an outage in the area happened and he was not able to do much for me. He gave me a suggestion which I followed when I had WiFi. I called customer service and was assisted by Annie. My phone was fixed, at least on WiFi until their coverage was resolved. I did leave work and when I got out of the area, my phone was perfect!

I asked him THREE different times to confirm that we could come in anytime, have it replaced for free, and that they would install it for us with no fees. He assured me every single time. Fast forward to last night , we go into the store and get completely different treatment. One employee was supposedly "training" another guy, but instead of helping customers he was sitting on his phone in a group chat the entire time looking annoyed and like he didn't want to be there. We literally had to pause and wait for instructions in between him texting on his phone. The trainee was actually nice and tried to help, but unfortunately the original salesman clearly lied to us just to make a sale. Suddenly the "lifetime warranty" wasn't what we were promised. I even called corporate afterward hoping they would at least refund the screen protector since we were given false information, and they told me only the store could handle it. So basically: lied to for a sale, poor customer service, and zero accountability afterward. Also, the employee "training" others should absolutely not be in charge of customer service training because his attitude was terrible.

    these guys are some incredibly incompetent and dishonest individuals !…read more I brought my Gen2 12.9" iPad for a new charging port and a new battery ...after the "Phone clowns" had my tablet for two weeks I get a call that told me my tablet was waiting at their office for pickup, they also mentioned they had replaced the charge port and battery but had to remove it because it still wasn't working , they then gave me full refund . This is where lie #1 came into play. They said they replaced the charge port but they did no such thing ....... when I returned him I plugged the charger and to no avail, I still had to put pressure on the charger so it would make contact and actually charge the tablet ! My point is If they actually put a new charge port in I would no longer need to fiddle around with the plug to make it work, I'm sure they wouldn't have pulled the new charge port after realizing the tablet wouldn't start . There are other details that transpired but I don't have the time to write a dissertation on this company, I'm only here to warn others to steer clear of these people ! After researching this tablet I find out that it takes a trained and seasoned tech to change the charge port , the newer charge ports are an easy swap but the Gen 2 needs a micro solder and an incredibly stable hand. The pads are very close and there is zero room for mistakes. My guess Is the tech took the tablet apart and realized he couldn't do the job , he put the tablet together (leaving glue EVERYWHERE and not even bothering to clean it up after he/she finished ..... bottom line is these guys cannot be trusted.

Also, the phone is junk. It shuts off constantly. Cannot make calls without repeated restarts. And the screen broke during Sim card installation. I called immediately and was told to bring it in. When I did I was told to do better research before buying and the store took no responsibility at all for any of the phones problems. This phone was beat up with damage all around the edge of the phone body. The stores refusal to offer any solution at all is not just very poor customer relations but dishonest. Considering small claims court. What a farce.

    Beware of predatory and deceptive practices at this store…read more After reading more reviews, it's clear we are far from the only ones -- this location has been scamming customers for months. I went in September just to ask a few questions about my plan. Instead, I was pushed into an "amazing" upgrade package: a $900 credit, over $120 in monthly discounts, and even a free Xbox. All of it sounded great -- until I later discovered none of it was real. I wish I had checked the reviews beforehand because this is clearly a pattern, not an accident. My previous bill was $88. I was explicitly promised I would pay less for an entire year because of the $900 credit. The representative who sold this -- Christian Romo -- has reportedly been scamming many customers in recent weeks and has conveniently disappeared to another state. I spent nearly three hours on the phone verifying everything, only to find out later that my bill had jumped to $302. Since then, I've wasted countless hours with Verizon and Victra support, visiting stores, and trying to get someone -- anyone -- to take responsibility. So far, nobody has owned the issue, honored the promised credits, or offered any refund. When we returned to the store today, multiple other victims showed up with the exact same complaint. This is not a misunderstanding -- this is a systematic scam happening at this location. We are now preparing to involve a legal team if Victra and Verizon do not respond appropriately. The staff took our information because the store manager, Fernando, was not present. We truly hope the manager will step up, take responsibility, and resolve what has become an ongoing consumer fraud situation. Proceed with extreme caution.
