Plan & Upgrade Fiasco; Avoid Phillip 08-10-2026: The evening manager Tom is helpful. I am not sure what we worked on will actually happen now. Get everything in writing. You need to be really prepared before coming here, because this evolved into a horrible experience. 7/06/2026: Went to a Ballard location run but a bunch of kids. They gave me assurances, but everything was obviously too good to be true. I go somewhere closer to home to finalize i.e., trading in the older phone. 07-25-2026: I was initially helped by Chris M (the NewJersey/New York accent guy) who took a lot of time and care to assist my boomer mother and me. He helped us apply benefits and lower our premium. When I came back to turn in the phone because of the automatic "stolen iphone" delay he was off early or off. I got "help" from his colleague (this is my first big mistake) and when I came back to fix this issue, sadly, Chris M abandoned me while I was stuck with Phillip (who you need to avoid at all costs). I don't blame Chris M but it would've been resolving of him to butt in and save me from the worst customer service rep in the branch. Phillip is the bald, black tattoo'd ying/yang koi fish, younger gentleman who wears glasses and presents like he knows what he's doing. do not assume he does like I did. Phillip talks very fast and moves fast and this is likely why he is making mistakes that will effect you. During this last office visit, I returned to the store to finalize a complicated trade-in. It was in fact Phillip who told me the wrong timeline for a trade-in. When I returned and confronted him about that fact Phillip was very defensive and wouldn't make eye contact. He said "well I said that based on the information you gave me," which one would hope, in the process that an AT&T employee uses, they hopefully don't assume and verify? Of course not. I am not the employee, I am not an At&T contract expert. If I had the level of apathy towards people like Phillip does, people would die at my job. At AT&T they just lose money and healthy blood pressure. Phillip blew me off and told me to call 611. Well, today I called them and guess what? I am SOL. So Phillip as I expected, just wanted to get rid of me and not take ownership for his mistake. There really feels like there is no accountability for this lapse in information. I was glad that Tom, the current manager I spoke to, was patient enough to listen when I drove back to the store, but I can't stress enough how poor the availability of Chris M was and especially the lack of detail from Phillip caused a good experience to escalate into me driving to this branch multiple times after my shift to argue with these guys. No accountability and assistance over such a small issue- a phone trade in that is already wiped. Now I am writing disgruntled reviews and just hoping I get somewhere, but I will avoid this branch until the Mariners win a world series. Shout out to Nat, the young new hire. He witnessed all of this go down and was very compassionate. Additionally, the other "Chris" was also a very pleasant older gentleman. It's so clownish how this deteriorated and a really unfortunate outcome. Give Chris M a chance but don't count on him being at the branch. Just go somewhere else or get T-Mobile. read more

WORST company in the history of telecommunication. no matter what problem you take to them, their answer is "sorry there is nothing we can do" . Store manager named TOM is the biggest idiot I have met. He is not even understanding the problem and just blaming Tmobile coz I switched to them. I had a switcher offer where AT&T gave some gift cards to pay off TMO phones when I was switching from TMO to AT&T. AT&T service was so PATHETIC that after 9-10 months I had to gi back to TMO even thogh AT&T was so less money out of pocket. NO ONE told me that I cannot switch before 12 months else these reward cards will be charged to me. When I am at the store, the other rep printed out something and gave it to me read which had that if you switch before 12 months, rebate wil be reversed. Even when I went to the store to pay off AT&T devices to I can switch back to TMO, the guy in the store did not mentioned that I am trying to switch before 12 months and hence you might be charged for the rebate you got before. Store manager TOM said it ist TMO fault who did not verify a step. I was surprised to hear that since TMO has nothing to do with AT&T switcher offer. THE MOST REDICULOUS customer service, THE MOST PATHETIC store people. When I asked TOM is last name, and employee ID, he said he would absolutely not give me that. 2 CENTS - NEVER EVER buy AT&T phones. Never go here, they lie to you and tell you if anything is different with your bill come on back and we'll fix it, with their managers supposed approval (who's hiding out in the back room) and then when your bill comes as an amount the lady previously promised it would not come out as the new customer service rep at the store will literally tell you too bad, that's the bill amount and nothing she can do to help you. Her only advice it to call the 800 number where no one's ever been helped. This place is running scams on you and appear friendly and helpful on the onset but as soon as you come back to call out the bill came wrong they turn on you real quick. I went in on a Sunday and met Sabrina. I told her I was a teacher, single mom and tight on money but desperate for a new phone. Boost Mobile was not allowing any kind of new device for monthly payments (at least not for phones under $400 ). My phone was chugging, calling me, shutting off and restarting without prompt. The camera only took pictures on every seventh click. She reviewed devices with me honestly. She priced it out and printed out the total cost. I went with AT&T because they give discounts to teachers. I work til 6pm during the week and wasn't sure when I could come in again. I did come in the next day at 6:45, just because I trusted Sabrina. She stayed late to help me with my device and new plan. She was nice to my kids and gave them paper to draw on. She even helped with spelling words. She knew I couldn't make it in the next night because of my daughter's piano practice. She gave me her phone number in case I encountered any trouble. When I had trouble with the new phone set up, after hours, she connected with me and made sure I was set-up. This is a great deal, a great phone and above and beyond service. Promote her. read more

I went to this AT&T store on Alderwood Mall Blvd. in January 2023 to upgrade my old iPhone SE which I had for many years. They sold me a new iPhone 14 Plus saying that it's on promotion for $5/month for 36 months, but it turns out the promotion expired a couple of days before I purchased it. The store manager (Nav, who says he took over the job in March 2023 and he had some cases like me come to his attention but he can't do anything to help me) or AT&T, which claims there is nothing they can do about it, will not take any responsibility for their incompetence. I am stuck with the full-price phone due to the inaccurate information given to me by the AT&T sales rep. What really bothers me is that when I chatted with the AT&T agents on computer a day and a week after the purchase to confirm the promotion, they said the phone is on promotion and I have to wait a couple of months for the discount to show up on the bills. She was knowledgeable, professional, polite, managed three customers superbly. This woman has it all. I come to this location exclusively due to the employees Victor & Vhin. I have been put in a sad situation, due to a DVPO (Domestic Violence Protection Order) obtained this spring. I was left w/ my abusers bill to pay, as he was using it for his business exclusively, & STILL advertising it on all platforms! It is incredible for me as a single mother, & left in a situation where I would not have a phone for my lifeline to safety and support. It is because of the employees that I have been able to get a reasonable plan for payment! From nearly $1000 of unpaid phone bill payments that were to be paid for by this person, continuing with "FINANCIAL ABUSE" to a plan that allows me to remain safe! But when we walked in, they notified us that we were online and it's an hour wait! We rushed back!! Barry the customer service guy made sure we knew (after getting upset) about "another hour wait"-that we could only schedule an appointment online for a set appointment! Lol wow! Talk about a mess. Barry also said that "asking for a manager would NOT expedite our service." I still asked for the Manager and (Michael) was very helpful and DID expedite our issue! It was nice that I didn't have to wait and was helped right away. The sales associate was friendly, but didn't explain the plan very well. She told me she signed me up for Next, but didn't tell me it was $5/month. She said insurance was $15, and super easy just $35 screen replacement... well it's $17 and she failed to mention that yes there is a deductible for any other damage/loss. All this I had to call ATT afterwards to get all the details. The worst part is that she set my new phone up without even asking. She took it out of the box and started loading it up and configuring it. My new phone! That's the best part of a new phone. Why would she assume that my language preference was English? I have been to this store many times as a long-term AT&T customer and for the most part have had good customer service. After leaving AT&T for a couple years and coming back (hopefully for good) about a month ago, I've had two excellent experiences at two different locations so far, so I am finally writing a review and giving the AT&T stores an overall five stars, particularly to this location and the other location just outside the mall. "Trevmon" helped me today at the store inside the Alderwood Mall and I can't say enough about how wonderful his customer service was. He was very helpful, but not in an imposing way at all. He was very friendly, genuinely interested in helping me out, and spent a lot of time with me to help me choose a good case for my Lumia 900. He then did a successful "upsell" to a portable charger for my phone, and not only did I feel compelled to buy it because I think it will be very useful for me, but I also wanted to support great customer service and give him the sale (not that this was the main reason for buying; it's just that I thought I might as well get it now as opposed to think about it for a bit - I knew I'd want it eventually and wanted to give him the sale). After telling both him and his manager that I thought he did a great job, he made a point to tell me that he moved here five months ago from Georgia, where they are known for their friendliness and hospitality. This I have experience with, having recently come back from a trip to Mexico having two lay-overs in Atlanta, where everyone seemed so friendly. Great job Trevmon and thank you AT&T for welcoming me back! I think this will be a lasting business relationship! read more

Even with multiple customers waiting he kept his composure & was able to multi-task & help numerous customers at once. (Might not always be the best practice but none the less I can see everyone appreciated his hustle & effort to help) A lot of customers were coming in with issues from the previous manager & employees & after overhearing it was clear that Marquise was doing everything he could to help fix what the others caused instead of just telling them to call customer service. I took my elderly cousin in to change from an Android to an iPhone. We were having trouble getting his wheel chain in the door at first. They ran right over to help us out. We only waited a few minutes before Jenine G. helped us out. She was so kind and so patient. The deal I was looking for had expired but she let me know about the latest deals which worked out even better for us. I decided to add him onto my account and she walked us through the process of getting an account number and transfer pin from Verizon without having to waste time calling them. I was then having some account problems, which she was able to resolve. Lastly, my cousin was very concerned about transferring his Android contacts over to an iPhone. She helped us with the process and even hung around afterwards to help with some of his questions about how to use an iPhone. We seriously received 10 star service from Jenine G! Do yourself a favor, and schedule an appointment first. Arrive 10 mins early, and prepare to wait. Look at phones and plans before your appointment. Tips: 1. Beware the upgrade fee: they don't disclose it until near-end of the process. They can't / won't waive it. You need to call billing later and try to get it waived. No guarantees they will waive it, so factor that into the cost. 2. Buy your accessories elsewhere. Cases and screen protectors are better to purchase online. The catch is that you have to be careful with your phone until they arrive. If you know what phone you want to get, buy the accessories early. 3. Keep your old phone. It serves as good backup in the event you lose your new phone and can't replace it right away. Or, it could make a good 'hand me down'. 4. Even if you are a long-time customer, shop the other carriers for deals before visiting, even if you plan on remaining with AT&T. Know the competition. I have yet to see any benefit to being a long-time customer. Results may vary. Good luck. read more

As a long time customer of ATT, I was appalled when I was told that "I was wasting his time and limiting his (Ciar?) commission time by dealing with my customer service issue" My husband and I had gone into the store to swap out a phone for one that my husband had purchased thru Verizon and also to resolve an issue with my iPad. What seemed like a fairly simple task turned into a four hour in store nightmare. When we left the store at closing, we were given the employees cell phone number and instructed to call him the next day if things were not resolved. Well of course they did not get resolved and I called the jerk. He proceeded to act like he was being put "out" by dealing with our issue. When he made the above referenced statement, I asked him "well isn't customer service your job?" He stumbled over his words and was quite rude. I let him know it. I asked him who his district manager was and he stated his name was "Manfredo" but refused to give me any contact info. The tech issues are just that. This review is about the horrid customer service issue and the abysmal personnel who work there. He guy kept talking about how bad ATT is. Why does he work there then??? They opened up an account and did an unauthorized credit check when I have an existing account that is fifteen years old and has 6 lines on it! This used to be a decent corporate ATT store. I did an upgrade with my cellphone, I was told I had a month to return the old cellphone I returned about 1 week later. The trade in value for the iPhone deals where $800 off for a trade in of an iPhone we did that and got the new iPhone which I should have only owed $200 left. I checked my bill not only to find out I'm being charged that$800 for this phone. Comes to find out an employee stole my cellphone that I returned. I walked into the store and was surprised to see a woman getting serviced by an AT&T agent and the woman was not wearing a mask. I'm a physician and have 2 children who are too young to get the covid vaccine and so after 5 minutes of her not wearing her mask while talking to the agent I asked her to put on her mask. She told me she doesn't believe in covid, she's not vaccinated, and she's a nurse. Markeese then asked me to leave the store. Super disappointing experience, I will never go there again. We asked the guy about a military discount , and my marine son in law told me that he felt that the greeter who added our name to a list... his attitude was as if he was doing us a favor for answering our question. Recently I wanted to transfer over my already existing ATT number to start a new family plan with my husband, who at the time had an ATT Go Phone. The salesman in the store was exactly that: a salesman. He told me everything was easy, I would be SAVING money, and he had the right plan for me. I left the store feeling like I had hit the jackpot, only to find out when I got one then another then another monthly bill that the local store guy had FAILED TO INFORM ME OF A NUMBER OF ADDITIONAL FEES, SET UP AN ADDITIONAL ACCOUNT NUMBER THAT REQUIRED 5 ADDITIONAL CALLS TO ATT TO FIX, and FAILED TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH BUNDLING MY ATT WITH MY DIRECT TV - a process I had to do on my own over two additional calls with ATT head quarters. When I talked to ATT Customer Service, they blamed the local sales guy and tell me to return to the store and take it up there. When I call this local store where all my problems began and request to speak to management, I never get a call back. BEWARE THIS STORE AND ITS SALES PEOPLE! They ruined what was a 10 year happy relationship between me and ATT. read more

My gf bought me a gift card. They forgot to mention at the time of purchase that the card could only be used in the store for retail purchases. Note to yelpers: DON'T BUY ATT gift cards. Att won't accept them on their own website, you can't pay your bill with them, you can only use the card to purchase the overpriced crap in the store. Let's begin with the confusion of an AT&T store inside the Alderwood Mall and this location. This is the store address and phone number for the AT&T store in the same strip mall as Michael's Art/Hobby Store.... okay. I have been with this company for a decade, easily. I only run two phones. I am a small business owner and I get the same big discounts as the huge corporations do. I appreciate that in AT&T. I have juggled cancers and failing financial ruin and successes, teenagers, lost phones and damaged phones. Yes, sometimes I had to put my foot down, but under no circumstances was this company a let-down. As for this specific store front: they can do no wrong. Yes, there have been associates who were not the best and I am sure that is why they are not there now. But Renault (aka Big Teddy Bear lol) and Nate and a few other girls who've stayed there over the years.... these few have gained and re-gained my trust and business. The store square footage is workable, but when a rush of clients happen, sometimes there is a wait. But the wait has always proven to be well worth it. Knowing I can discuss the ins and outs of how my dang phone even works or how to do the simplest of things taught to me has kept me with them as well. I am over 50 years-old and I appreciate anyone who will grace me with the respect and patience they do when it comes to this "new-fangled" cell phone world! *smile* Walking me, personally to the door: NICE TOUCH! I get it. People in life make mistakes. That's okay. When you do, however, you fix it. The salesman who preordered my phones -a man I'd later find out was the store manager- looked at my plan and just went "okay, this all needs to change!" Okay? He's the expert, right? He said it will save me money. Flick flick flick..."do you have your company badge, you'll need to resubmit your discount." Uh, okay, no I don't regularly carry my company badge with me when I'm not working. Sure, I'll take care of it at home. Then a signature screen came up and he just scribbled on it. I initially thought that was him approving whatever he did. NOPE. He forged my signature. I'll repeat that: HE FORGED MY SIGNATURE ON A DOCUMENT I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AGREEING TO! Several times. He could have played it off as Covid concerns. He could have grabbed a stylus and had me sign that way, just sanitizing it as needed. Dead silence on why he was signing my name. I didn't even realize it happened until everything was done and I realized I was never asked to sign anything. Then he handed me some extra card and said "this is an extra phone line for you." I did not need an extra phone line, I do not want an extra phone line, I have no need to use an extra phone line. But hey, here it is. Go me. I don't even know what he did to my plan yet because I'm waiting for the bill to settle after the upgrade. Then ordering the phones I misheard him and ended up saying I wanted to pay in full instead of installments. That's fine, I made a mistake. So he cancelled that and reordered them with the installment plan. I get home a few hours later and realize he ordered the wrong phones. Well he made a mistake. That's cool, we all do. I went back to the store right after opening the next day and said "You ordered the wrong phones. You can just cancel the order and select the right ones." "You'll have to call customer service" came the dismissive response. They made the mistake, but I had to fix it. And they didn't offer to call, they didn't suggest doing it in the store in case something went wrong. Just "do this and get out of my hair." I was so irritated and had an errand to run. So I left and called customer service. Which was a whole other debacle. I ended up returning the phones and cancelling the whole thing. Then again, did I even do anything if they just forged my signature? I sold phones years ago. It's a tough job. Guess it's a lot easier when you boost through your customers, say nothing, hand them things, and then don't have to fix your mistakes. There is a company owned store inside Alderwood mall, a ten minute drive away if parking is bad. They have their own issues, but at least they're held to a standard of basic competence. AWESOME!!! I went to this location on a whim after walking by every time I am in the mall! The manager was great and after 10+ years with T-Mobile, I finally made the switch and took both of my lines to AT&T! I am so glad I did! The phone is awesome, the service itself is better than I expected and the prices are also way better than what I had before! I got 2 new phones and did not like one after about a week of using it. I took it back and the manager let me upgrade for only a $5.00 fee! Everytime I am in the mall they remember me and say hello as I walk by! Now I have the phone that I want! They got my inital service switch done pretty quick and even got everything off my old phone onto my new phone! The staff was helpful and friendly and I am sooo happy that I finally made the switch to AT&T! I even brought them a few friends who have also switched to their service! Went in to pre-order a phone few days ago got horrible customer service, The guy couldn't even tell me any details about the new phone that was coming out. I had to stand there and Google itcame in today to check on my Order and got some condescending attitude. Just now also found out that he outright lied to me. When asked him about using my insurance to fix cracked screen on oh current phone, he told that it will cost $250 LIE. !!!!!! Went on line , logged in to my account, made a next day appointment and it's only $49.99. I just wanted to buy 1 wireless charger. They put me on a wait list for just so I can talk to an associate to buy one charger. After 20 minutes of waiting to buy one charger I walked out because of their incompetent service. They had 4 associates on the floor and not a single one can do a simple transaction. BEWARE of getting hard saled at this location. Also, be aware of RE-STOCK fees. Visited this store in March with my toddler and was helped by Marcelo. Toddler started getting restless and I even mentioned coming back, at one point. Marcelo talked about 1 phone...didn't bother showing me a variety of phones and when I started back tracking trying to see what other options there were Marcelo informs me there'd be a re-stock fee since I had already selected a phone number. Spoke with Sean, the store manager, today and explained the situation...didn't seem to care. Just said everyone gets charged a re-stock fee. I told him I had never been informed of a re-stock fee beforehand and then he mentioned it was on the form signed. I'm guessing in small print. He said because it was in March that I purchased the phone he couldn't refund my re-stock fee. I informed him I had stopped in previously and been told corporate could possibly refund my fee and then when I called corporate they referred me back to the store manager. I have left at least 2 voice-mails requesting to be contacted by the manager and no one bothered to call. I mentioned that to Sean and he just says "oh, sorry. We have been busy today." Uh ...I haven't left a message today...I left 2 in the past on different days. Wouldn't recommend this location. At&t is an ok company but the customer service I've received here is a joke. read more
