I came in on September 8th early afternoon to trade in my Apple XsMax of over 5 years the lady there was very helpful and knowledgeable I don't think I spent an hour working with her. I had to give in my old phone within 30 days at any AT&T while I work in the city I went on October 5 or 6 th to the 34th street location and had THE WORST experience in NY not only was the guy not helpful but he was extremely unprofessional I felt VIOLATED I left in tears it's awful for both of especially him to be in work uniform and represent the company this way. My partner who came with me the first time took me back to the Jersey location to return my phone and before we fully entered the store on October 7th the sales rep a gentleman greeted us immediately and was EXTREMELY HELPFUL ! NOT A FIRST PARTY STORE! It's intentionally built to look like one though. I spoke with a few first party stores in the area and this place is NOTORIOUS. Please learn from my ignorance and find a first party store (Willowbrook, Clifton, Rockaway) I went to stop in to check on an upgrade. I had a cracked screen which was totally repairable by Apple and confirmed by the retail Apple store. The sales woman looked at the phone and proceeded to sever the ribbon that connects the Touch ID sensor to the logic board. I watched her do it and then tossed the button back on the phone and said, "yeah this can't be fixed. You need to buy a new one." Needless to say, I walked out and headed back to the Apple store to see what they could do. Nothing. Once that ribbon is severed, you lose all Touch ID functions a la finger print unlock, Apple Pay, App Store purchases. I called customer service and they suggested I go back to the store to get this problem resolved. It shouldn't be an issue. This is where the part of the story gets interesting. The manager (who knows who this guy was. the place is shady af) said I don't know what you want me to do with this phone BRO, it's wrecked. After I explained that his employee totaled out my phone, I got a variation of you're out of luck BRO. No help at all. He sided with his employee saying it's my word verses his and that they do NOT touch hardware. Well she did. If you don't know what you're are looking at, DO NOT TOUCH IT. Simple right? Not for the man with more muscle in his head than brains. AT&T offered me 50 dollar credit to my account to put towards the buy out price. Not ideal but not much they can do for a third party shop. Do yourself a solid and find a first party store. A lot of them are built to look like a first party like this one, but there's one major tell. What a shyster this sales guy was. I went to this AT&T store in Verona yesterday in search of an iPhone 6. I called for about an hour beforehand to check on availability, with no answer. But, since it was closely, I decided I would just drop in and find out in person. I walked in the door and the man, Henry, started helping me. My first statement was "Do you have the iPhone 6 in stock." In answer--distraction #1--he asked me for my phone number and name, I figured to check out my upgrade eligibility. Then he started talking to me about plans and what to sign up for and the price differences between the plans and how I could be saving money. And I ask him again: "Before I go any further, I want to know if you have the iPhone 6 in stock." He excuses himself to check, goes in the back and is gone for a few minutes. Comes back and looks at the computer and--distraction #2--tells me I'm not eligible for the upgrade. Which surprised me, so I got off track again and he's talking about this plan and that. After another 10 minutes I finally stop him and say, "Do you even have a phone in stock?" And he hems and haws and says he has to call his partner, etc. At this point I am pissed and it's clear to me he's giving me the runaround. I say, "I came in the door asking one question: do you have the phone in stock. And you won't give me an answer." And he says, "well, it doesn't matter if I have the phone, we can order it and it would come to your house in a few days." With a big smile. Then I start getting up to leave and he says to wait, that he is going to call his partner and he can call me later. Obviously, I say no and I tell him that he's wasted my time and that there was no way I would be giving him my business. Cruise and Kevin were extremely patient with my husband and me as we upgraded both of our phones to the next generation. They transferred all information from one phone to another eliminating any work when we got home. They even supported the community when a young boy came into the store to sell candy. Do not go here! They are an authorized reseller - not a corporate store like the one in Clifton. The manager, Henry Zhang is completely incompetent. Here is the HORROR STORY: My wife purchased an iPhone 6 for herself and an iPhone 5 for her mom online. She brought them into this store to transfer from the old phones to the new ones. However, she lost her father tragically 3 days prior and the only recordings of his voice were on her phone. She explained to Henry that if she couldn't transfer over the voicemails to her new phone then she wanted to stick with the old one and give the new one to me. Henry said there was no way to transfer them and so she told them she wanted to keep the old phone instead and just transfer her mom's. Then while he was working on her mom's phone her phone (which she was still holding) said no service and when she went back into her voicemails they were all gone. She asked Henry what happened he claimed that she had to accept the new terms and conditions since the new phone was at least 14 days old. This made no sense, she was under no obligation to switch to the new phone. He was very unapologetic despite the fact that my wife was clearly distraught. She said all of his actions were rushed and frantic, like he was in huge rush to do everything. I called the store and spoke with Henry. He was extremely hard to understand due to his thick accent. All he kept saying was that she accepted the terms and conditions, which wasn't true at all. He said that he would speak with AT&T tech support and then call me back. It's been 12 hours and I still haven't received a call. I tried calling again and the woman who answered said Henry was with a customer. She said she was very sorry and felt horrible about what happened. She seemed like an actual human and not a malfunctioning robot like Henry. We just spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T tech support and trying a million things they said there was nothing they could do since Henry reset her phone's voicemail profile. read more

Thank goodness I did. The employees were super patient and helpful. Ali is a rockstar. He and his coworker Abuassab were super knowledgeable about various issues and products. The service in this store is terrible. Management could not focus on one customer at a time and the result was multiple customers waiting for an even longer time to get their cases resolved. Not only did he subscribe my email to some "rewards" car program without asking first, he misinform me regarding the resolution for the slow speed of my iPhone connection. For over a decade I have had the pleasure of doing business with an OUTSTANDING representative, Henry Zhang, who handles both the Verona and Fair Lawn stores. The occasion for another intersection usually occurs every two years, and 2018 (May) is the latest edition of, in my opinion, what GENUINE customer service is all about. Henry has gone above and beyond with professional courtesy and a commendable proficiency with products, plans and phones. I always have the impression that Henry and I are a team, rather than salesman to customer. Henry has been pleasant and patient as I navigate the (to me) technical challenges of data transfer from an old device to the latest offering. I value the relationship that has evolved over the past 10-12 years, and though I am now living far from New Jersey I intend to maintain contact and continue doing business with Henry.
