i don't want to do anything that is mad boring and takes a lot of time where i end up spending more money than i intended to, but if i have to do those three things somewhere i wanna do it at this verizon store because the service here is consistently good. is it mad boring to go into an electronics stores and deal with my phone or my upgrade or my plan or my bill? yeah. it is. does it take a lot of time to do these things? YES. there is usually a wait and then the time it takes to *be* serviced takes at least 30 minutes. do i spend more money than i want to? yes. i want to SPEND NO money. but i need a dumb case or insurance or a new charger and this can cost anywhere from an extra $40-120 bucks. but the service here is good and it's always good. the manager here is very laid back and easy to work with and accommodating and nice. there's an associate there named Joey Brilliante and while i wouldn't say he lives up to his last name he is super nice. he not only helped me two days in a row with my idiotic questions he also helped me sync my bluetooth to my car because i could NOT figure it out. read more

Very small location and there was one employee working, which is fine. The employee was working with a couple but came over to ask what we needed. While we were asking our question a Caucasian woman walked in and proceeded to start talking to the staff member as if we weren't in the middle of a conversation. The employee didn't bother to correct her, disregarded us and went on to assist her. I guess our money wasn't as good as hers so we'll take our business elsewhere. read more

I had verizon since before they were verizon . I could'nt get service in many popular locations . At my house I had to have internet for their 5g extender so I could get service on my phone !? To top it all off I know someone who works for them that causes me many problems. He works for verizon and does'nt even do 40 hours a week. Is this where my money was going ? So I got rid of them and I found out what it should be like to have a real service. Not to mention I saved a ton of money. read more

We pay over $200 for our monthly phone plan. One of our Apple Watches died. We bought a replacement but the store refused to help us set it up with our network. Terrible customer service. We will look into switching to AT&T or T-Mobile for better customer service. This store location has very unhelpful people. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I went into this store looking to upgrade my phone. The sales associate informed me that if I upgrade my plan there was a promotion for discount on new Iphone 12. Great I thought. He said all I have to do is trade my phone in online. When I get home, I go online as directed to trade in my old phone. Except there is NO PROMOTION. When I call the store, the associate said he made a mistake and that there is nothing he can do about it. 5 minutes later he calls back and says there is a promotion for the full amount promised but now it's been over 5 days so I waited too long for a trade in! Except I was on the phone with him on the 5th day after purchase! Still, he says, "nothing I can do." Can I speak with a manager I ask? He says there isn't one!! Unbelievable. When I show up at the store to discuss in-person, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Appsrently there is "no manager". How this store continues to operate with no one at the helm is a total mystery. The better business bureau should be alerted immediately. Deceitful, fraudulent, and absolutely no accountability. BEWARE-- When I call Verizon, they told me this is not an authorized verizon location but rather a third party retailer with little to no affiliation with Verizon. Be careful here! Especially if they try to swindle you to upgrade promising a promotion that does not exist. Consumer fraud at its finest. read more

The phone charger in my car broke yesterday.I just happened to be in search of finding a testing site for Covid in Montclair. I accidentally found the "Wireless Depot" store. It was a blessing that I the Wireless Depot because I needed the directions home. Upon entering the store,Joe Avalos, introduced himself. I told him what I needed and asked him to treat me like his Mom and he did. He offered to review my Verizon account.He found that I had a great offer for a new phone.In the meantime there was a problem with the volume and after I charged the phone didn't last. His goal was to help me with my account and he treated me like family. Great location. Absolutely terrible service. The manager was pleasant but the younger man working for him was incompetent and rude. After waiting for 15 minutes, he begrudgingly started to help me. Offered no help or guidance and did so in a smug and condescending way. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and this is not a reflection of his normal attitude (I can't imagine that he would still have a job if that were the case) but he was rude enough that I felt compelled to write a review here, which I don't normally do. Great location, though, and I overheard the manager of the store being very helpful and answering tons of questions for the folks he was working with. Thieves and liars are what Verizon offers. They say one thing to get you to change plans and then just screw you when it doesn't work.

My husband and I came into the store to get new phones and plans. Then guy that helped us acted as if we were annoying him. He asked for my id and didn't hand it back to me. Conducted business with us from across the store, just had a very nasty disposition. I canceled my order. I'd rather give my time and energy to someone who values it. read more

BEWARE! Steve and this store are not all that. I was treated well while in the store but two irritating, and unethical things happened: (1) I asked to pay for my new device in full and although Steve said "no problem" and took my card, he actually charged me less-than-full, financing $10 spread over 24 months. Sure it's at 0% with 0 fee and $0.41/month added to my bill, however, my credit card covers damage or loss of recent purchases only if paid-in-full. Guess who would be left holding the bag for a pricey phone if something were to happen to my device... me. Steve didn't tell me he was doing this and I would not have approved. (2) I left the store and added AppleCare+ on my phone, since I have it on my watch and find it to be superior to Asurion (insurance provider for Verizon) coverage. Asurion sucks to deal with, having tried to file a claim 10 years ago. Guess who was surprised to see a $13/month recurring fee for "Total Protection" (yeah right) on his bill... me again! They enrolled me in insurance coverage without my consent and never bothered to ask me or tell me while I was in the store. So the deal is, I went to the store to support a local business instead of the Verizon mothership a town-or-two over. I got the guy everyone raves about in these reviews and although I felt like I was treated well in the store, I was lied to twice and the victim of what I perceive to be unethical and sketchy business practices. In both cases, I am left wondering how Steve and the store stand to benefit from quietly enrolling me in a device payment plan and insurance without my consent. How many other people cycled through this store and didn't even realize that this happened to them too? I had to spend a total of 1.5 hours on the phone and in online chat rooms with Verizon support reps to revert these charges. Time is money and I wasted time I could have spent being with people I care about on the phone with customer service undoing what Steve did. On a (very slightly) positive note, I turned down a phone case at the store--since they didn't carry my choice of color in the Otterbox Symmetry, which I picked up for an obviously lower price, from a certain e-retailer with free shipping. They didn't hassle me. If they had the case I wanted there, I would have bought it to support the store. Learn from my mistake and review the receipt they print for you--no matter who helped you in the store--before signing. Ask questions and make them explain what each charge is and don't sign anything until you understand and agree. And if you're reading this after the fact, please go check your bill online and call Verizon if you see anything that looks weird. I'm sure glad I did. TL;DR: they will sign you up for stuff you didn't ask for without your consent. They financed $10 on my device despite my request to pay in full which could have screwed me. They added insurance at $13/month without asking even though I didn't want it and it was never mentioned. read more

We've been customers of this store for years. Wouldn't change because the customer service is just outright AWESOME!!!! Where else can you walk into a store and sit with a knowledgeable tech person that can actually help you resolve a problem without a long wait time? That is routine with Joseph and his team. They recently spent almost an hour resolving an email issues I was having on my iPhone and iPod. After I wasted much time and frustration on fruitless chat bots trying to resolve the problem digitally I finally just went to them. Fixed! AND they all wore gloves and masks and worked behind plexiglass. I felt it was safe to be there. read more
