It really saddens me to see all these reviews of poor customer service for this store. I had a wonderful associate help me work out the clunks in this unlocked Blackberry I got from Craigslist a couple weeks ago. Her name started with an A....Ayala? Anyway, she was so patient and helped me out for over an hour. Because I had an unlocked phone and am on the old AT&T blue network, I thought I wouldn't be able to get much help. (I had spent another two hours before coming in with AT&T tech support on the phone.) But, we managed to fix two of my three problems: unable to call my mom, unable to send texts, and unable to access my voicemail. Now, I just can't call my mom. But I think that's the phone's problem, and not AT&T's network. read more

I always use this store because it is the closest. But I may have to find a different store to go to. Whenever I come here, it usually takes me about 1 hour to get done. This is including 45-50 mins of waiting. They just don't have enough sales reps. I'm not trying to slam AT&T because I have accounts from both AT&T and Verizon. But the Verizon store always has an abundance of reps and I am done and out the door in usually under 30 minutes. Please, stop wasting money remodeling the store, and use that money to hire more reps. read more

I had a pretty good experience at the store when I went in to get my iPhone activated and make some changes to my plan. They were really organized getting people's names down and had a list of customers. As it turned out, I could have just called the toll free number to make the changes and in fact that's what they had me do. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Being the closest to my workplace, this AT&T store has become my regular place of business for all wireless needs. When visiting this store, I usually get good service in a timely manner. When upgrading from my iPhone to my Windows Phone, they had the model I wanted in stock and were knowledgeable enough about it to help me confirm my selection. Compared to other AT&T locations I've tried, this one is well worth the detour to get what you need. read more

Just returned from the store. It was a very good experience. Phuong Vuong was my sales associate and he was very helpful in accomplishing a lot of AT&T Service items we have queued up. I 'ported' my son from Verizon to my plan, upgraded to Family Plan, bought a new Windows Phone 7 Samsung Focus. Phuong was able to give me advice on features and concessions for the new phone. Then he tackled our residential DSL service questions, and will be following up on these options today. I appreciate the professionalism and knowledgable service Phoung provided. I had a particularly good experience at this store today. First, I overheard a man being very aggressive (verbally) toward the manager about not being aloud to use their restroom (employees only). I don't know what the story was but he was being very rude and the manager handled it beautifully. He was being a real you know what. I was told there would be a wait, but they have WiFi so I didn't mind. If you don't want to wait you can make an appointment! Vi was helped by Vinny and he was extremely friendly and helpful. My family and I have been using AT&T for the past decade and for some reasons we never change our phone plans. As of this year, my family decided to upgrade their phones to a smartphone. As such we then also updated our family plans. We came to the store back in Febuary'17, and telling the sales assistant what we need and what we are looking for. Then the sales assistant helped us and told us that you should come back on the date of your pay period, which is on the 7th of each month for us, so we won't get additional charge for prorated expense. Later on, when we came back on the 7th of March, and other sales assistant (told she was store assistant manager), told us that last time we changed our 1 family plan to 3 different plans. We told her that's not possible, if such thing happened, if must be a mistake on AT&T's side. I mean, why would we change from 1 family plan to 3 different individual plans if we are all having a smartphone? Not like we are having way too much money and have no where to burn the cash..... And of course she told us to come back after 2 week so she can help us to deal with the situation. AKA, not to pay the phone bill and come back with the statement and AT&T will fix it for us. Guess what, we came back like 2 weeks late after we made an appointment with the store. The assistant manager asked what can he assist us about for today. We told him the situation then he asked us to wait for 10 mins.... I mean we made an appointment with you guys and you are free... why are you referring us to another sales/store manager who is helping another customer when you are free? Then we waited for 10 mins, the store manager came over and asked us what we need assistant on, and we have to explain everything that we explained to the assistant manager to the manager again. I mean, why not just bring a recorder next time, so we can play the recording...? Then the store manager asked the assistant manager to solve our issue. I mean, wtf??? Did I mentioned, we have 3 smart phone and 1 of them was not able to use 4G LTE data for 2 weeks. And guess what, AT&T just shrug and ignore the fact that they charged us 130+ dollars and we cannot use the service. That's just shady, we should get the retroactive expense back right lol? Anyway, as I mentioned from above, the on March 7th, the assistant manager told us to bring the billing statement to the store and she will resolve the issue for us. We came in, then there is another assistant manager who tries to assist us but then, I felt like that I was talking to a wall..... I asked," If our billing period ends on the 7th and we came in to the store to change our plan. Why are we getting prorated charge?". He replied, "I don't know, that's just what your billing statement said". I mean, wtf? If the cycle ends on the 7th and we change the plan on the same date. Then we shouldn't get charge anything prorated.... or am i misunderstanding what prorated mean? He just kept repeating I don't know I cannot do anything. If you guys cannot promise to fix any issues, then do not promise that you guys will fix the billing statement. End of the day, the assistant manager treat us like fool and trying to get money out of AT&T's pocket. I mean, i bet you there are more people who got charged some weird expenses and never asked about it and pay it. I don't know when the Company become this shady. I guess when you become to a oligarchy, you can do whatever you want, since we are just like krill fighting against the whale. Worst store with worst representative. I would not recommend anyone to come into this store and get assisted here. They will probably rob you and you just wouldn't know. They tricked me into having to pay for 2 lines and now I'm on a 30 month contract. Initially there was no mentioning of a contract. I asked and they had said it wasn't a contract so I had been lied to. I have had to return 3 times within 2 months because they weren't able to get my plan right. The employees don't care what you have to say. They will interrupt you and try to continue to move forward. After this contract is over I believe I will end my business with AT&T. Slimy, sneaky, business. The bright colors and all the advertisement is a facade.. Consumer protection is dead. If you would like an incompetent consultant to overcharge you and have the conversational skills of a robot, I recommend. read more

I left the god-forsaken ATT store on showers drive and I was fuming. The employee there was extremely unhelpful and apathetic to my situation, and told me to "pick your poison" between paying a useless fee or leaving ATT for a carrier with reasonable policies. I was more than ready to leave the network since a new carrier would gladly pay that fee for me. A couple miles of stewing in the car later, I passed this store and decided I would go in and not be as friendly this time. The employee who talked with me here (Maddie?) was extremely friendly and helpful. She understood that the fee wasn't necessary and helped me to resolve the issue without having to take all of my family's cell, internet, and TV service elsewhere. read more

Well staffed and efficient but ultimately disappointing. Went in to add a line: 1) Was sold on Unlimited Plus WITHOUT being told that the more affordable Unlimited Choice plan even exists. 2) Was given the WRONG rate information. Was told I would pay 205 for 5 lines out the door. Customer service 1-800 number told me it would be 205 PLUS the international calling packages we have, so 230. I would like to like AT&T but have consistently had better experiences with epic T-Mobile. Unfortunately there is no T-Mo signal at our home. read more

My phone charging port suddenly wouldn't accept my charging cord. I made every effort to clean the port, to no avail. I had visions of having to buy a new phone just because of the port - frustrating because the phone itself is great! I went into AT&T on Grant Road in Mountain View and thankfully Jose was waiting for me! With his expertise, he cleaned out the port and voila - I'm connected again. We purchased phone, internet and TV Service for three people. I have no complaint about the actual services itself. But the way we were treated in-store in Mountain View, CA was horrible once we signed our contracts. They gave us their number but didn't return any calls we made with questions, lied completely about what our monthly bill would be and never followed through like they said they would. We felt completely deceived! AT&Ts customer service at the store was the worst I've ever received which includes using Verizon and T- Mobil previously. Once our phones are paid off, we'll be switching back to T-Mobil or Verizon. I also will be sharing my experiences with co-workers, my fiancé s and her fathers coworkers as well as the BBB and any other review sites. BTW the assistant manager managers name was Seyar and the person who assisted us was Jason. Both can talk like used car salesman and seem sincere, but will ignore and avoid you once the contracts are signed... read more

The sales assistant Victor is really pushy and abrasive. He kept trying me to change things on my mothers plan that I have no authority or control over and I didn't even come in for that reason. He kept asking me to call her and ask and was really persistent and I explained that she was at work and it was not a good time to be getting in touch with her. I finally left and my issue with my phone was not solved. He was not particularly nice. I have never had a negative experience at an AT&T store before. read more

I am complaining because the customer service that we've been recieving has been extremely unprofessional in all aspects. To resolve this problem I would like you to remove all service charges for this month of April and the upcoming month of May also since we cannot pay for service on a phone that is not actually working at all. When I first learned of this problem, I contacted the employee at AT&T for your company, and was told that they meet with customers by appointments only and I got on the phone with an employee and they set up an appointment with me for 10:00am and when i showed up for my appointment there was no one there. They called one of my friends and left them a voicemail telling me to come back at 4:00pm when I was already at the store waiting at the 10:00 time we had set. Keep in mind I do not own a vehicle at my disposal so that was a $25 lyft that I had to call there and back on multiple different occasions because this happened more than once. I believe that this response is extremely unprofessional because I went into AT&T to recieve a brand new phone almost three weeks ago and they have no sense of urgency to even acknowledge the fact and make sure that I have a phone that actually works properly. I would like a written statement explaining your company's position and what you will do about my complaint considering they sent me a refurbished phone in the mail trying to replace the brand new phone that I had that was incapable of working correctly. I went to this store last June and everybody was nice to me since I bought a new two year contract with a phone upgrade. I got a new phone, new case and even gorilla glass because hey, I want my phone to last beautifully. After less than 2 mos., the $50 case broke.... The edges chipped off and in this case, made it unusable because it were the corners that held the phone in! I obviously take great care in making sure my phone remains in mint condition ergo the extra protective stuff and warranty I bought so this case must be whack! Anyway, I went here to see what they can do for me since I have a year warranty on the case, they did NOTHING. They just sold me a new one with no discount at all. I called AT&T and the office helped me out but not this store. Go somewhere else. Save yourself the headache. read more

very disappointed. we went in to upgrade my husband's 6s iPhone because the glass was cracked. Although we couldn't get a trade in for the 6s, the sales rep looked at my 6Plus and said I would be able to trade in mine and told us the promotional rates if my husband bot a new phone and I bot a new phone, I would get a $350 trade in for mine. So, we bot iPhone 11 for my husband and iPhone 12SE for myself. Unfortunately, the 12SE had to be ordered and the sales rep said when I receive the 12SE and activate it, to come in with the 6Plus and she'll apply the trade in. Well. after I got my 12SE, and returned to the store with my 6Plus, turns out she was mistaken: that the 6Plus was not eligible! Which meant I was not eligible for the discounted rate for my 12SE. I WAS NOT HAPPY. She went to talk with her manager but still no go. We are a long time AT&T customer and after this, we will be looking at another provider. read more

Just like other comments they are tricking you with false, incomplete information, keeping you in the blind. If you go to this store go with proper knowledge and preparation otherwise there is a trap!!! We went there to get a new connection for my wife. The employee named Vinny was going to help us. He gave us some info about prepaid options and then we asked about postpaid options. He provided incomplete information about the pricing for postpaid and did not mention about the 20 dollars access fee. Considering 25 dollars with auto pay infinite minutes and 1GB data plan, we decided to go with this plan. We provided all the information like credit card, SSN number for credit check and drivers license for address proof. And he initiated the process. He was having some trouble with credit check, which took some time. So we asked him if its hard or soft credit check and he said its hard. Once credit check was approved he asked us to select a phone number. We selected phone number and we again confirmed about 25 dollars price. And he then mentioned he did not know the exact price, but told us that it will be little over 25 dollars and that he will know the exact price after reaching end of process. And when he moved to next page on his tablet, he showed us its going to be 25 plus 20 dollars access fee Plus additional taxes. Why did he keep the info about access fee of 20 dollars with him when he was advertising the post paid options to us. This seems like bad customer experience, as to a new customer ATT store employee is refraining from giving complete information and keeping us in the blind. So we asked him if anything else can be done in addition to the apology that he gave us. And he just said he cannot do anything. As it was hard credit check we asked him to call his Manager, so that we can explain the scenario. After explaining all of this to her, she just said she cannot do anything about it. Not even a apology? And her arrogance was on cloud 9. The manager was Daniela. And in addition she said its soft credit check, dont worry about it. The employee telling us its hard credit check, the manager telling us its soft credit check. What the heck is going on at the ATT Store, why the customers being given false, incomplete and confusing information? i am not rating the store, just ATT in general! they suspended my services and when i went on line to pay my past due amount of $100 , it said, "pay $100 immediately" and I did, but becuase my new bill was 3 days past the due date, they wont' restore my services. i have been a customer for more than 10 years! and always pay my bills. they said that they texted me to a number that i dont' use not the main number which is mine. This is a very simple business yet the staff at this location continue to offer unacceptable service. I've been an AT&T customer for decades, as have all my extended family. I'm the tech go to guy in the family and have a 99% success rate in getting them to follow my advice. For decades my advice has been to go with AT&T which they dutifully followed, but the service I have been getting from this location for the past few years has made me regret that advice. The staff here acts friendly and helpful but the reality is that it's always a hassle to get exactly what I want, it's always more about them making their commission rather than what I want. Since I'm paying premium prices I expect service that is equal to what I pay, unfortunately AT&T has been failing worse at that every year. The pattern is the same, I read about a change to AT&T's plans or a competitors change, so I go in to see if I can find a better deal, it just doesn't happen, their is always a glitch, and when I bring it up, the staff is not apologetic they simply get hostile and try to usher me out (presumably because they realize that they can't make money off me). Today I went to this location because T-Mobile lowered their rates and their plan looks much better to me. I had already been tricked by the staff at this location to give up our unlimited plan for a better plan that turned out to be worse for us. I went in with the intention of being very clear, I told the usher at the front door that I wanted to find a new plan that would save me money, he said yes we just changed plans and can help you with that. So I signed in and waited. And waited, and waited. It's amazing how slow they have gotten considering that they aren't selling anything new, after a hundred years you'd think that these guys would be good at taking care of customers efficiently but they aren't. After a long wait (with no one ahead of me, according to the usher), an employee finally comes over. I had been looking at the plans that the usher pulled up for me on a tablet. I'm confused, I came in to get one of the new cheaper plans but they all look more expensive to me. He told me that he could find me the right plan. He didn't. After looking at my account, he proudly announced that the new plan would cost me more but that I'd get a little more data than I have now. I don't need more data, I don't come close to using what I already have, I just came in to lower my cost. How can I lower my monthly bill? I asked him politely. You can't, he answered sternly. I asked when I came in for help in lowering my bill, not raising it. Why can't I lower my bill with the newly announced plans? I asked politely, his stern reply was: you can't! I also noticed that there is no unlimited calling and text listed in the set of plans that I was being shown. He said that unlimited that included within the US only, the higher plans include unlimited to Canada and Mexico, which I don't need. I asked to see that unlimited calls and text were included, in writing. He said that he couldn't show me that. Now the usher comes over and tries to double team me, saying: we can't show you that because it's in the contract that you have to sign. Ok, I want to see the contract, please. No, his stern reply was that I have to sign if then I can read it. I'm sorry, I politely replied. In the US we get to read contracts before we sign them, I'd like to read it please. No! You can't see it! You mean that I have to sign the contract before I can read it? Yes. You must sign first, was his terse reply. So you want me to pay more each month and you want me to sign a contract that I haven't read? Yes, they both agreed that I would have do that. I told him that I read the news article that T-Mobile had actually lowered their prices and their plans look like they would actually save me money. Then "go to T-Mobile" was his hostile reply, from his rather angry looking face. Ok, I'm going to go talk to them. Yes, I mean it. And I'm seriously considering switching my large extended family over to T-Mobile. I'm tired of how AT&T just walks all over us, even when they should be lowering prices in face of better plans from the competition, AT&T instead mixes things up so they can spin their price increase to appear as a price reduction. By the way, they absolutely can show you a copy of the contract, just have them enter your account and select the new plan. It will display the new prices (without taxes, unfortunately) so you have a pretty close idea of what this will really cost you. If they won't show you the contract before you commit (which is illegal) then go pay T-Mobile a visit. read more

Worst service ever. Went to upgrade a phone and add a new line. Left the store feeling good until we tried to use the phone and shoes no service. I called the customer service number and was told the phone # wasn't showing an upgrade. Sigh.. Then get a call 2 days later saying we need to come and pay for the phone because they forgot to charge us for one phone. If we didn't pay, then they would call the cops on the phone. What kind of service is that. So we had to drive there during rush hour wasting gas to pay 16.00 that they couldn't charge by phone. Worst EVER!! read more

It seems the quality of one's AT&T Wireless Store experience is mostly dependent on the quality of the sales consultant. You should ask for Johnny Truong, and if there's a wait it's worth it to wait for him. I bought a new phone today. Johnny made it as pleasant of an experience as you could imagine. He was knowledgeable, professional, polite, and proactive in helping us understand our options. Any new phone purchase will take a long time, and with Johnny it was a completely positive experience. read more

Updating my review after 2 months of their service. I feel like I made a big mistake switching over to ATT for wireless service. First off, the connection they are providing is sooooo bad I cannot even tell it. It is so choppy that you cannot have a meaningful conversation on skype or any other medium for more 2 minutes. You cannot work from home remotely because you will lose your vpn every 5 minutes, literally. After getting 200 dollars from me for installation and modem, they cannot even give me connection that would last more than 5 minutes. Stay away! During my first month I told them that something was not right, someone stopped by and said he fixed it but no, it is still not working properly. And I already paid them more than their service deserves so I am not going to pay for a technician to stop by, planning to cancel my contract with them as soon as my first year is over. Also from another friend, I heard that I paid 200 dollars (100 installation+100 modem) because I was stupid. If you act like you will go somewhere else, apparently they offer you 100 discount to get your business. I feel bad about what I paid and what kind of service I get for more than one reason. About the place itself: Very distracted staff although it was not crowded. I went there to setup uverse high speed internet for home. He misspelled my last name and could not give me any paper that confirms that it is corrected and told me that I will see it in its corrected form when I receive my first bill in about a month. Then he told me that a technician can come over next week and it turns out that somebody could come over tomorrow morning at 9 am to install the services. I only saw it when I asked him to show his screen to me so I can choose a date. I was going to wait for an entire week for nothing. I also asked to update my my autopay details for my phone while I am there in person. He said he cannot change my autopay details for my phone ---I could not do it myself over the internet as I had no internet at home--- then when I insisted that they should be able to do it in the store, he did it anyway. Then, while updating that he asked my billing address which did not match the old card's billing address and I asked him to update that too. He mistyped the street number and the apartment number as well. Freaking experience, there is no single piece of critical information he could put in the system properly. This location is the best. I went to the Sunnyvale location on 5/11 and they were super rude. Anyways came to this location afterward. The man directing customers was really nice. He made it a point to check in with customers while they were being helped. The lady who was helping me was also very nice. Sorry im so bad with names, because I would love to give these two employees better recognition. I ended up buying a new phone and a new ipad so I suppose that is good enough ;) read more

I've actually never had a bad experience here, and I've been here a few times. It's not stellar or anything, but the employees do always solve my problems. So if you don't make an appointment head of time, you get put into a queue. The wait is usually not horrendous--it's kind of annoying to not have anywhere to sit, but that's a pretty moot point. I stopped by today during the day and had about a 20 min wait. There's also free wifi that is pretty fast so that speeds up your wait. I'm also always amazed at how they always know who you are when you make it up the queue. You tell them the problem, they do what they can to fix it. I've mostly been here to fix data not working on my phone problems when I transition between phones, and it's always been a pleasant experience. They say hello, they're friendly, and they do their job. It's really not so bad. read more

I have been to this store 2-3 times in the past to purchase phones, upgrade plans and have had excellent service. My most recent visit was a complete change from previous experiences. Both the sales rep Samantha and Manager Jackie were unprofessional and uninterested in providing actual customer service. Jackie threatened to have me escorted from the store because I complained about the lack of professionalism. Another male employee was embarrassed by his manager's behavior and stayed and helped me even though he said he might be fired for doing so. The fact that a manager would fire an employee for trying to service a customer is quite something. If you are buying Apple products go to the Apple store. Jackie tell you they simply can't help you in the ATT store with the Apple products. read more

Every time I come, either I am annoyed and frustrated or some other customer in the store is having a meltdown. I try never to come to this store if possible. It is unfortunate what once used to be a great store to change to what it is today. The Apple store-like change seems to make the customer service reps think that they're Genius... While there were 7 people on the wait list, we saw one guy literally walking around aimlessly with a tablet staring at all the customers, super weird. This seems to be the norm according to all other reviews. This makes you wonder if their management, or AT&T up the chain is paying any attention - not good for business. None of the reps seem to be happy with their job, you don't hear the usual pleasant exchange with customers (actually, we don't see any happy customers either!) Then we over heard this one rep who started to mouth off at a customer who got fed up and just left. This is really really bad from customer perspective, not sure who's really the manager there, certainly not obvious from the reps who don't seem to care. This really makes one want to simply switch vendor. Looks like Customer Service 101 was not offered in their employee training. read more

This is a review on the ATT and DirectV service not the store itself: I would never recommend either one of these services to anyone based on their handling of customer service. My experience started very pleasantly with the first phone call to sign up for the services. I was a very happy customer looking forward to signing up with ATT and Directv (Directv because they "do not offer Uverse television in my area (I live in Mountain View, CA how can they not?). The very pleasant phone call ended with me satisfied and the enthusiastic technician setting up an appointment for the satellite company to come out and install the satellite. She assured me that if they could not install the satellite where I live (I live in an apartment complex) that I could cancel the whole order. Okay I said, lets do it. This is where the s**t storm began... My appointment window was between 8am-12pm. Okay fine, I have the day off and I planned on this taking forever anyway. I get a call at 7:45am saying the technician will be there in 20 minutes. Sweet! I can get this over with and enjoy my new services all day! Wrong... The technician did not show up until 9am (an hour after he said he would be here). Still very patient I say okay, that is better than some other companies. The technician then took a two second look at my patio and determined that it was not possible to install a satellite on it because it faces the wrong way. I was afraid of that... I asked if there is anything we can do and he informed me that there is nothing we can do unless I move to another apartment that faces the right direction (yea okay, let me just pack up my things, you want to help?). Disappointed, I close the door as he leaves but I think to myself atleast I can still cancel the service no problem. Wrong... I call the number he told me to call to cancel my appointment and it is the ATT customer service number. After waiting for 10 minutes a very cheerful lady picks up the phone and asks what she can do for me. I explained my situation to her saying that since Directv could not install my dish I would like to cancel my bundle. "Okay, I don't understand why you want to cancel your internet with us because you can't get dish", she said. "Well I guess I am forced to stick with my old company because if I can not bundle with you guys, it is cheaper for me to bundle with them," I informed her thinking that was a good enough explanation (remember how the first operator told me it would be easy to cancel if they could not install the dish?). Nope, she did not like that answer and kept trying to convince me to keep the internet. After 15 minutes of what turned into an argument to cancel she told me I had to speak with Directv first because she could not cancel my internet without canceling Directv first. She then informed me that she was going to transfer me to them. I told her I JUST wanted to cancel my internet and then I would call them. She transferred me anyways. Annoyed at this point that I now have to wait on hold for Directv to pick up and then STILL have to call ATT back I wait, and I wait, and I wait. 15 minutes later a voice picks up and says "Thank you for calling ATT this is ____ speaking how can I help you?". ATT?!?!?! I thought she was transferring me to Directv?!?!? I told ____ that I wanted to cancel my ATT and Directv services. ____ then said okay I can not help you with that but let me transfer you to customer services. NOOOO!!!!!!! Click. Input classical elevator music here. and once again I am on hold! I am now angry at this point and determined to cancel my services. I wait 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, and then 45 minutes later some one finally picks up the phone. I tell them I want to cancel my services immediately and I do not want to be transferred again. The technician on the other side sounded very annoyed and when I told her what I had just gone through she could care less (as if she gets this all the time). After another 5 minutes of waiting for her to look everything up and finalizing the cancel I was free, well from ATT that is, I still had to call Directv. I won't go into length about the Directv cancel as it was far more pleasant then the ATT customer service but it still had me on hold for another 15 minutes and then had to explain the ENTIRE situation over again to another customer service person (If both companies bundle together why can they not have one customer service line for people who bundle?). Over almost a 2 hour long process I am finally free of both ATT and Directv and I will never look back again. What started out as a very exciting promise of new HD services, hundreds of channels, and beyond fast internet services turned into a day of let downs, broken promises, and time well wasted...
