Imagine being a customer for 20 years and stopping in the store to ask to charge the phone you pay then over $100 a month for just to be told no you have to buy something. The joy and enthusiasm of a new phone brings life to me making long delayed calls to good close friends. Associates are responsive in taking the time to all my inquiries for the difference in phone models despite same manufacturer. The year is 2013 and I am finally up to par with technology of my mobile phone. Goodbye Research In Motion- Blackberry (Wackberry) and good riddance!! Four stars as AT&T only permits 450 minutes per month two year contract from mobile to land line calls, thus it is very limiting. THIS IS NOT AN AT&T COOPERATE STORE BUT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. I would not recommend going here. They royally messed up my phone upgrade and long story short (and five weeks and over five hours on phone with AT&T customer service later) I finally got my issue resolved and was able to get a new phone. But the whole time I was in purgatory and the store was incredibly unhelpful and super sketchy. read more

I came in yesterday to upgrade from an iPhone 5 to the iPhone 6. I was greeted right away by Joseph, who was amazing. He sat with me and answered all the questions I had, as well as talked on the phone with my father for over 30 minutes about the new AT&T plans that are in effect. Even though he had to explain certain things more than once, he remained patient and calm. This AT&T branch is not only centrally located, but also has some of the best customer service I've experienced. I stopped in spontaneously to ask about service plans. I was greeted by RABIA, who was an absolute delight. She was super informed about current plans, but also about hardware and accessories. I somehow found myself walking out with a new wireless charger, iphone case and screen protector. I've been an AT&T customer for over 40 years. Because my bill is very high, two friends and myself went on a 'family plan'. The person who's name it is under was already an AT&T customer also. He went to the store and dealt with the Manager, TIFFANY! TIFFANY send him an email explaining all the costs and details. His bill came in and it's much higher in price than quoted. We've gone to the store several times and the rest of the staff were helpful but cannot sort out the problem. TIFFANY was supposed to call him back one week ago. No call. We went to the store today and were told "Tiffany is very busy and we'll relay the message to her". When we left the store, TIFFANY was at the front desk, alone, head down and didn't even address him!!! She has the poorest customer service and she's a Manager???!!?!!! read more

The employee we spoke with at this location was rude and abrupt, totally unfriendly and behaving like he was doing us a favor by talking to us about the problem with our phone. Skip the unpleasant experience and head to the apple store on 14th and 9th ave. Go to Lakeisha. She was so friendly and helpful. She also has a bunch of regulars, which she knows their names, backgrounds, etc... Especially in the business of selling phones, she keeps it real. She'll tell you upfront what your options are, the total costs...she really knows her stuff. I even took a couple of her business cards to hand out. this was the third at&t store i visited in two days and it also happened to be nyu move in day (read: sh*tshow). the first two stores were subpar; the first didn't have the model i was looking for and the second (store @ 17th between park & broadway) had *rude* employees. so, in a desperate attempt to upgrade my iphone 4 (don't judge) a week before my vacation, i went to the location at 17th and 6th. you never really expect a phone store to have *great* service, but this one did. as soon as i walked in, a woman asked my name and what brought me in; immediately i saw my name on the "walk in board" display. in less than 10 minutes, megan the phone angel called my name. she was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. she reviewed may plan, made an adjustment and reduced my monthly fee. and yes, she also helped me get my phone, get it activated, and given my poor experiences at other locations, checked to see if there was anything else that could be done. megan called in joe (the manager) and after a few taps and swipes, they also helped me secure my coveted beats headphones at a sweet little discount. this is not the location closest to me, but it will be the only store i go to in the future. thanks to joe and megan for all your help -- i *love* my new phone and beats!! read more

Surprisingly good experience. I went here with a friend who is new to New York and indeed America to help her look for various phones and plans. To the sales assistant was cordial and knoledgable. Hard to ask for more. there wasn't a hard sell either, just a briefly stating he facts for each plan and the assistant even went into some serious detail for roaming as my friend will be doing a lot of travel. read more

This is the most helpful AT&T store I've ever been to! I probably called their customer service 4 times last week in trying to upgrade my phone and change my plan. Every person I spoke to contradicted what the last person told me. After giving up on the phone I happened to stop by this AT&T location and Im really glad I did. JUAN and RABIA were AWESOME!!! They provided above and beyond customer service. I wanted the rose gold color phone and after realizing they did not have anymore in stock at their store they called another location and Juan actually went to pick up the phone I wanted. Especially after explaining to them my phone call saga from last week I could not believe how much they went above and beyond for me to get me exactly what I wanted. do NOT go to this establishment. It is understaffed (minimum of 25 minute wait and no seats anywhere), overlit (so unpleasant to stand in surgery level lighting for that long of a period of time), overheated (the place was obviously engineered for a cooling system but didn't take into account all of the heat from the crowds of people waiting around), overblown (rude staff). And they sent me out with a device that doesn't work so I am now on hold for 30 minutes with at&t to get it resolved - wrong sim card They have arrogance that we are a captive audience. If you are traveling to us it is amazing place to get your phone hooked up. I initially walked in to T-Mobile store a cross the street and they weren't not helpful and told me right away that my phone will not work. This is my 3rd time in USA and I always used T-Mobile and thought I was loyal to them, not anymore after this visit and no attempt to help. Walked in to AT&T and was immediately greeted by Igor and I believe he is the manager. I told that I need a prepaid service for my phone. Igor did not help me however he ensured that I will walk out with working phone which I did. I was helped by person named Rodrigo who at first I thought does not know what he was doing... I was wrong. He explained that my phone will not work in USA due to 2g network does not work in usa and I will need to purchase device. Since I'm here for 3 months this time he was able to give me unbelievable deal where I got a smartphone at no cost with connection to $40 plan signing up with autopay. I'm from Europe and we don't ever have a deal or anything in this nature where you purchase a prepaid service and receive a free phone and on top of that I was offered a water while they were setting this phone for me. Please keep up this type of service and cellphone companies from Europe need to take a lessons from this store on what is truly customer service 5+ read more
