Called and was told the iPhone 17 was in stock waited 45 minutes just to be told it wasn't If I could rate this store lower I would.

On 4/23/26 went into Rock Hill SC store to inquire about new fiber service in my neighborhood. I ended up with 3 new promotional phones, new service for internet and wireless and 2 promotional watches. I was given a quote that anyone would have found attractive so I ported in my 3 numbers from Verizon (with whom I was satisfied for 15+years) My account was set up incorrectly so that I cannot administer my account online. I went back to store 4 days later to let them know of issue with administering account. An adjustment was made. I am still not able to administer account. I called customer service who told me to go to store as they could not help me. Went back to store. Was told customer service should not send people back to store and to call a retention agent and tech support. Tech support said no adjustment could be in effect until 30 days after adjustment was made in store 4 days after I opened the account. This means I cannot look at bill or anything else!!!!! Meanwhile, I have been getting emails and text messages saying my bill is due in the amount of $604!!!!! A mortgage or car payment!!! Not what I was quoted any of the times I was in store. I talked to customer service in retention department and was told there was nothing to be done, thought he surely understood my dismay. I was promised many discounts and charge offs to come in the future. Does not help the financial harm I mistakenly did to my family. Also, I was told I would get a buy out rebate in the future for 1 of my phones for which I owe a few more payments. Now they are sending me emails saying they do not have the proper documents from initiation of the account to allow this rebate sometime in the future. Meanwhile, I have a bill from Verizon for that phone that is owed. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO ATT!!!! JUST DON'T GO THERE!!!!! LIARS. They for sure know noone would accept a $600 phone bill if they were not currently paying that, as noone is. AGAIN, DON'T GO TO ATT, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ADVERTISE!!!!! read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AT&T EVER! I've been a loyal AT&T customer for 18 years. That ended when AT&T allowed scammers to steal thousands from my bank account, then blamed me for it--and shut off my service while I was traveling overseas alone. Here's what happened:I got a call from someone pretending to be AT&T, offering to lower my bill. They walked me through what seemed like legit prompts. Minutes later, my business bank account was drained by fake "AT&T bill payments"--over $2,500 gone. I reported the fraud immediately. My bank confirmed it was fake and refunded the money. But AT&T? They shut off all of my phone lines anyway, while I was in Rome--completely alone and without access to emergency communication. I spent hours begging for help over hotel Wi-Fi, bounced between departments, insulted by rude reps, and was told I still owed the fraudulent charges--even though my bank had already flagged and reversed them.Then AT&T took more money from my account without my consent. My business was disrupted. My assistant couldn't work. I was stranded overseas without a phone. And when I messaged AT&T on social media? They told me to use a third-party app and gave me a bogus transaction ID. That's it. No help. No apology. No accountability. AT&T failed me when it mattered most--no fraud protection, no support, and no care for customer safety. If you're thinking about using AT&T, don't. it's part of corporate culture to rob they're customer. we have gotten use to that in America. I returned my phone here nov 19th. by December 12 I'm getting charges on my credit card for 1236 dollars. I returned my phone here as part of the trade in deal. they gave me copy of receipt confirming that and my trade in amount. somehow my phone has never made to the powers at be therefor I'm being charged full price. Worst service ever. I went in because my camera stopped working on my phone. The phone was not damaged in any way. I carry the so called insurance on my phone through AT&T, which I would not recommend to anyone. It is a scam. They told me if I put a claim on the insurance it would cost me $150 - $200 for the deductible. This was never explained to me when I bought the phone and decided to carry the insurance. I was told that if anything happened to my phone it would be covered, they left out the part about a deductible charge. So in their way of helping me out today which was no help at all, they told me to go to an Apple Store in Charlotte and they may replace my phone at no charge. What was I paying for insurance for. Needless to say AT&T is a sham! The people at the store on Dave Lyle Blvd in Rock Hill, SC are the worst!!! They are quick to smile and sell you the moon, but as soon as you need assistance with a phone you bought at the store on Dave Lyle Blvd in Rock Hill SC they want to pass you onto the Apple Store in Charlotte NC. I went over to the store today to pick up an online order as it was the only place locally that had the item I wanted. I was greeted by a guy named Jim. Super friendly guy we chatted a bit while he authenticated my account. Not only did he hand me my device but he also realized that I was paying way too much and cut my bill in half Even with the added insurance on my device. I could not possibly appreciate this more as I am a teacher and already pretty broke. I sincerely wish this location was closer to my house because it would be my store forever. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I have had nothing but fantastic service every time I have visited this store over the last several years. It always seems to be something that is urgent that I need help with and they are always courteous and personable and take care of my needs with exceptional speed. Just recently I had to get my wife and my cell phone numbers switched around to the correct phones and only had about an hour. I had no appointment, walked right in and was immediately assisted and back in my car with my problems solved in less than 30 min. I can't speak highly enough about this team. read more

Staff asked me to get an iPhone 12 with an eSIM while I was upgrading phones. I stated I didn't need it because I already have 2 separate lines/phones. Staff stated that an eSIM line would not be an extra charge. The eSIM line is $20+ a month. Don't flat out lie to get business. That's trash. I was going back to upgrade another phone with them, but I'd rather waste the gas and go to Charlotte. Also, the managers should stop hovering over staff and rushing the process it's just awkward and weird. I was ready to leave just based on the manager coming over and trying to rush my choice. I visited this location recently to talk with an associate about the Apple software malfunction on my iPhone. During my first visit of the day, I waited 15 minutes all for the associate to tell me to visit a cell phone repair shop nearby; no directions whatsoever - other associates were available to help me but chose to socialize among one another. However, during my second visit of the day, an associate provided phone numbers and detailed directions on the next steps to receiving a replacement device; very helpful. read more

I visited the AT&T, Dave Lyle Blvd, to upgrade an older phone. When we entered the full store, I braced myself for the irritation to come. This store receives 4 stars from me due to the lackluster welcome and the really long wait. Now, I have to say, the wait was our choice as we could have left. It's hard to fault them for our choice. When it was our turn, we were assigned Dakota. It was a great experience. He answered our questions, was very pleasant, chatted but never stopped working away to get us out of there quickly. Called today at 10 on the dot. They kept transferring me to customer service when I need to ask questions store specific. I drive there STILL on the phone and I see them talking in groups with no customer in sight. Then wow behold. I see one go over to the phone and transfer. I walked in and said you know you just transferred me to customer service? why can't you guys answer the phone. And they didn't even have a valid reason. Horrible ATT. My family has been with AT&T for years. Every time we go into the AT&T store in Rock Hill it is an exasperating experience. We can't get things switched, can't upgrade, can't over ride, can't etc. It NEVER works out and we ALWAYS leave feeling frustrated, angry and condescended. Its like visiting a digital proctologist who has a bad attitude. Today, Erin, was disrespectful to the point of even giving my extremely polite wife a disrespectful, black girl, head bob to her question. We went away empty handed, confused and angry like always. Their coverage has always been better in our area than Verizon which is the only reason we stayed in case you were wondering. Hopefully that has changed. Nightmare. The wait time at this store is ALWAYS ridiculous. We decided to switch from Verizon to AT&T at Christmas because of the Buy 1 Get 1 free offer and the ability to bundle TV & Internet with our cell phones. After getting all signed up, we realized the AT&T employee was wrong and internet service is not available at our house. Then we learned it's not really B1G1 - it's a credit toward the second phone, but the AT&T employee doesn't tell you that. We would have chosen a less expensive second phone. In addition, AT&T was suppose to pay the remaining balance for our 1 device at Verizon. That got screwed up, so now we are having to pay $650 to Verizon in addition to the higher than promised AT&T charges. We are literally at the AT&T store now - have been waiting 2 hours - to see if they can fix any piece of this disaster. WARNING: Do NOT go to AT&T!!!! read more

We've been having problems reaching Jessie on her phone lately and she hasn't been able to call us because we can't hear her when she calls us. Today, we stopped by AT&T to have the phone checked out and after we spent over 2 hours at their store letting them troubleshoot every possible cause for our problem, we then were told by Apple that we would have to drive to their store to have Jessie's phone replaced! Their nearest store is at Northlake mall in Charlotte! When did they start requiring customers to drive to their store to get their phones repaired or replaced?!? They've always mailed our new phone to us and I have always mailed the defective phone back in the same box! This is ridiculous! This new policy is not customer friendly or convenient! The problem with Jessie's phone has been determined to be an Apple problem therefore, they need to fix it and not make my life more difficult because of it. read more

Has a check-in area when you arrive so they make sure you're taken care of. Very nice ambiance with demo devices and chairs and tables. We were greeted by the employee helping us that day in two minutes, and he was attentive and speedy. There was also a manager walking around making sure everything was running smoothly. Fred and Brittany were great with very confusing issues. Always go to the store and never call customer service for assistance. You will definitely get more accomplished and be happier for it at the store, this one anyway! Well adding one more 1 star review will probably not affect this company in any way but here goes. In August I went here to replace my iPhone. The sales associate sold us on the DIRECTV and unlimited data plan package with features of a $10 credit for combined wireless and tv billing and free NFL package for a year. So we agreed. He said that since service wasn't set up for tv yet he couldn't combined our bill and get the credit. Just call AT&T once service was set up to combine and get credit. Well it's another story and 6 hours of my time over the phone with AT&T over a 3 month period to discover that the promotion ending in July. Even though I explained that not only was the sales associate pushing the promotion but all the banners and signs were still on the walls in the store, AT&T refuses to honor. So here I am in a 2 year contract and I hate AT&T and everything related to it. I should have known better, this is not my first run in with AT&T. Also turns out the iPhone I bought at this store malfunctioned within 45 days of purchase. When I went to the store I was told it was Apple's problem. They would only take back the phone within 14 days of purchase. It's good to know that I would get better customer protection from Walmart for a $15 toaster than a $700 iPhone from the AT&T store. That's saying a lot since I have no love for Walmart. read more
