This location was once a reliable AT&T store. No longer. Parking lot litter-strewn and filthy. What was once landscaping is unkempt and overgrown . Only one employee on the floor at 4:20 Saturday afternoon with two groups waiting to be served. No greeting or request to sign in. After 20 minutes I had read enough of the handwriting on the wall to know I was never going to be waited on so I went to the Quarry Market location where I was promptly attended to. The manager there explained that the Austin Highway location is owned by a franchisee and is not a company owned store. That explains the disheveled appearance and the lack of competent sales people. Chronically understaffed after 5pm. Even if you have an appointment, expect to wait. Mornings are better, but you'd still better expect fifteen to twenty minutes to even speak with someone. Apparently several people work in the store but are, more often than not, doing whatever they do in the back and are not on the floor. More importantly though, be sure to check your bill to verify any changes made after visiting this location! When I came in to buy a new phone, the transaction went smoothly and the CSR was friendly. I left feeling positively about my purchase, but without my knowledge she added a $5/month "feature" to my account, one to which I did not consent and did not want. This is a criminal practice called "phone cramming," and it is sad to see this fraud still being practiced by AT&T customer service employees. I have made a complaint to AT&T and had the charge reversed, but it should never have happened in the first place, and who knows how many customers this employee has scammed. Be vigilant. read more

I wish I could give this store a zero. Me and my mom had a miscommunication with trading in my phone for a new one and the manager Hector R came up and we tried to tell the story of what happened. Me and my mom don't know much about phones and since I am 18 on a family plan he said he was only going to talk to my mom. He started telling her about how she was being a bad mom and not asking the right questions before hand. Then he trailed off and lectured her about being a bad parent (he stopped to make the point that he was a parent and didn't even talk about the iPhone situation). My mom is the kindest person ever and he looked at me while me and my mom were crying and said he was sorry about my mom. I will never go back because of the disrespect my mom received from this man or his service as a manager. read more

AT&T continues to live up to their reputation as worst customer service experience in the country. I've been here waiting for a half hour without any service. The last time I was here for an hour and they told me they could not help switch my sons phone to his own plan, and they literally recommended we port him to a different carrier. Worst location, worst service, worst mobile carrier. I hate having to deal with AT&T service to start with, the terrible service at their store locations makes it even worse. Seriously thinking about switching to t-mobile or one of the no contract carriers like boost or metro. So sick of overpaying for so little benefit. read more

So my mom went in because she lost her iPhone. She thought they could help her locate it with find my iPhone. They couldn't even get her information right. So she called me on my sisters phone to make sure the information was correct, (which it was) I guess he wasn't typing it in correctly? My sisters phone happened to be at 10% so she asked if she could use a charger while they figure this whole ordeal and she was told she could purchase one!!! OMG! As they were about to walk out my sister asked if that was her phone on the counter or his And he says "What do you think!" How rude! Absolutely no help at all!!! No worries I found my moms phone. My wife and I wanted to change carriers lower our bill and add a new line for our son and we even merged our home internet. We talked to Jorge manager he sold us up a River. River of hidden fees, that couldn't be waived, higher bill we didn't know this until we had to call att online support to debate our bill. Hours of time we don't have to debate but had to. Smh, Much of what Jorge said he was unable to do what he said did not pan out. Now we are locked in. For us this was not an enjoyable experience. Avoid this store at all costs!! Tried to buy an apple watch with cellular, and it took 4 hours over 2 days to get it set up to link with my iPhone. The employees were outwardly nice, but clearly didn't know what they were doing and they wouldn't help each other out. I just got a bill from AT&T for twice the amount of my normal bill, it turns out they charged me for 4 extra lines, which they had created when they were trying to link the watch with my iPhone. I just spent another hour trying to get my bill fixed. Unbelievable. read more

I've had amazing service at this location. I was set aside when I had 1 bad experience. It was right before close, noticed staff was low, and though the store was empty, it felt busy. The store phone kept ringing and ringing with no one to answer. I don't usually have to wait, which is fine, but the problem arose when it was my turn and called up to the desk, Andy my rep didn't really greet me, then ran away from the desk 3-4 times with no inclination of how long or assurance he was there to help. The problem was never resolved and he spent more time away from then me then helping, Ask for Kevin when you go, he takes care of people. read more

Terrible customer service. My phone services were royally screwed up by a guy working there and it couldn't be fixed in store. They had to put in a work order and the guy swore it would only take 30min to an hour to fix the problem. No big deal. Here we are over 24hrs later and the phone is still not working. Tried to go in and get an Apple Watch exchanged (my hubby got me the series 3 but I needed the series 4 for the ECG heart monitor). The manager was rude and refused to waive the restocking fee even though it was never opened. A guy named Kevin helped us and he was ok. I had already gone to 4 other att stores looking for the smaller series 4 Apple Watch and those managers were going to waive the restocking fee but they just didn't have the size I wanted. I finally found this austin hwy store with the size I wanted and the manager just flat out refused to waive the fee. When we asked why, Kevin said she told him she couldn't waive it for any reason, it's policy for all returns which I thought was bull$hit because all the other managers at all the other stores would waive it. She wouldn't even look our way when we were questioning why she couldn't do it when all the other locations would. We left and I ended up going to the forum and they exchanged it and waived the fee! This Austin Hwy location is the worst! All the other locations were so nice and this lady was just ugh! 5 locations later I finally got what I needed. I would leave zero stars if I could. read more

Do not wast your time with att. The costumer service is crap. They will bull shit you in every way to get more money out of your pocket. i have been trying to lower my bill for about three months now and have done everything i can think of. i have spoken to their customer service as well as gone into the the branch. i have been told that with student discount and lowering my data it will get my bill below $90 AFTER taxes. now i am being told that my bill is more and apparently they have not been charging me the full amount. ALSO you get late charges for payment arrangements. Also at one point they didnt charge me one month then charged me DOUBLE the next. i am a college student, i CANNOT afford my bill being doubled in anyway. LEAVING ATT FOR SPRINT. There's a reason for the low reviews. Customer service is terrible. Non-welcoming and not greeted at the door. I came into the store to make the process quicker than calling the central number and place my account on hold but when turning in my forms in person rather than mailing them in the representative in store just automatically replies " you can call the central number." Horrible experience here at this location. Ordered a phone online to pick up here and went by twice and was told the first time it would take more than an hour for them to receive the order. So I left came back two and a half hours later and they told me they had no order for me and that you can't order an iPhone 7 online anyway.. which clearly I did and got a confirmation with their store info. They seemed as if they did not care at all and acted like I was the crazy one for thinking my order would be ready like the confirmation said. I just got an $800 iPhone a week ago from this location and gave them a 10. The guy that helped me set up the phone was awesome. Then I went back for help with a setting. AT&T once again has failed to come through with any thing they so call promise. Lets start with the way you are greeted at this store. First, you are greeted by a woman or man, the women here are dressed professional, now the men I have only seen maybe two that look professional, the the others have their pants down past there you know what, looking like they are carrying a load. Seriously AT&T, this is the first impression you want to give customers. Second, its a social gathering for the workers. They are to busy screwing around to care, jumping up to see who can touch the ceiling, or flat out lying to customers, or on the occasion I was there, talking behind your back. I had purchased some services from them, and everything they told me was a complete lie. Thankfully, I was within my 14 day period to cancel, but guess what they can't do that at the core store. You have to call customer care, see they only believe in cheating people out of their hard earned money, instead of providing customer service. The sad part is, there are two people that do work there that actually do care, unfortunately no one else does, which also includes management. Please save yourself the trouble of being lied to, there are other AT&T stores that treat you professional, courteous, and respectful. The managers at those stores don't run, and hide in the back when there is an issue at hand. They address it, and truly make sure you leave feeling that you do care. read more
