When I finally got the home Internet, it worked well but everything else about the situation went downhill so much so that I switched to TMobile. First, the actual stores know nothing about what goes on with the rest of the company, esp any specials online. And be ready to wait forever. Secondly, if you only have home internet and not cell service with them, good luck! You can't even log on. The program does not allow you in and even customer service can't find you. Doesn't matter that they have my cell number and I registered it with them. I did not want to bundle. They will keep hassling you on that too. Third, keep track of the specials they offer like a free tv or PlayStation, they say it but you don't get it so easily. The wait is a full billing cycle and again the left hand knows nothing of what the right hand does. Been on the phone numerous times for long periods trying to resolve this and get my gift. Fourth, keep all receipts! So glad I kept my UPS return of the home Internet unit, they kept emailing they would charge me $200 and I kept calling to give them my documentation. They will not give me a confirmation of my call or status, until finally, I appealed to the supervisor by phone and insisted on some sort of email confirmation that they do indeed have my unit and will not be charged. read more

I visited the Verizon store at The Quarry in San Antonio on November 10 to ask about my cellular connection issues and why my service hadn't worked since receiving my iPad. The experience that followed was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional encounters I've ever had with a service provider. When I arrived, a female employee told me they couldn't assist in-store and that I would have to call Verizon support directly. I called as instructed, provided my IMEI number, and followed their directions to turn the iPad off and back on. After doing so, the passcode--which I have never changed--suddenly stopped working. Even more concerning, the iPad did not lock me out after multiple failed attempts, which is highly unusual. The phone representative then transferred me without notice. The next person asked me to repeat everything I had already explained. After clarifying that the issue began after following the previous employee's instructions, I was placed on hold and transferred again--eventually to Apple, who were also unable to resolve the issue. I went back into the Verizon store, where one male employee told me not to sign in (which felt suspicious) and kept insisting that I had somehow locked myself out of my own device. He said he would call a manager, but after 25 minutes of waiting with no updates, I had to raise my voice to get any acknowledgment. When the Lead Manager finally came over, he was dismissive, condescending, and completely unhelpful. He repeatedly insisted that it was my fault, gaslighting me by saying there was "no way" Verizon could have caused the problem. To make matters worse, the staff refused to provide the name of the Store Manager when I asked for it to file a formal complaint. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. Verizon's customer service at this location is unprofessional, dismissive, and, in my opinion, demonstrates a pattern of gaslighting--particularly toward women of certain backgrounds. Verizon is a massive corporation, but that doesn't excuse the complete disregard for customer experience or the refusal to take responsibility for their actions. Home Wifi customer, Verizon Forward offered but Verizon refuses to allow us to set it up. Thus the charge us whatever they want instead of what we signed up for. We get mixed messages from staff at the Basse location, online and phone support are absolutely zero help. When we communicate with Verizon they keep linking support to a phone service which we do not have through Verizon. Do you believe we would go with Verizon Mobile if they cannot do WIFI support? I spoke with Charles, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and actually helped me file an insurance claim for a new phone. Instead of spending a minimum of $500 for a new phone, Charles helped me get a replacement phone that only cost my $150 deductible! I was visiting San Antonio last week to take my special needs brother to Morgan's Wonderland waterpark. I decided I better get a waterproof case for my phone before we went. It was 102 degrees and I didn't really want to pull out the wheelchair and get my brother out on the hot asphalt, but I also couldn't leave him alone in the van with the motor and AC running. I called into the store and Juan answered. He understood the situation immediately and within 5 minutes he was at my car window with several waterproof case options to fit my phone. He took care of the entire transaction without us ever needing to leave our van parked in the handicapped spot. Thank you, Juan! I appreciate you taking the heat so my brother didn't have to. Verizon bought Tracfone last year. I was just told my reliable, easy-to-use flip phone I've used for decades would no longer be usable and I had to get a new phone, and also lose minutes on my existing phone. The service people at Tracfone used to be flaky...now they are horrible. My solution, on a fixed income? I got a $5 a month deal from Hello Mobile and a new Serrano Hot Pepper phone on sale for about $79. I have unlimited calls and plenty of data availability, which I don't need as this is just my emergency call-home phone when I leave my family for short trips. In reality, it will save me more money than buying the cards for Tracfone service, although it only uses T-Mobile systems for calls. The Hello Mobile Serrano phone was problematic to get activated...their instructions at Hello Mobile are poor and they have no video guides online...just poorly written directions. Installing the SIM card was not what I was used to, and was difficult. Also, their technical assistance people online were...to be blunt...underwhelming. I'd recommend getting someone younger to help you with the installation and activation. Still, for what I paid, once I got this phone working and in place, it's impressive for the cost and has more bells and whistles than a senior will ever use. I haven't found any better deal for seniors. It isn't perfect, but it is doable. No, I don't recommend Cricket. If you do some reasonable research you will learn why. Don't go there. Responded to one of their Ads for trading in eligible phones and getting free IPhone 15's and it turned out to be a joke and the mgr turned out to be a jerk. Got the phones, but they don't tell you about all of the hidden costs. Don't use a private retailer. Their attitude is "too bad". The tech's were nice but my fill reflected services they did not perform (data transfer). When I asked about it, the mgr said that if I needed it in the future, they would do it. I asked him why they didn't do it when we first got the phones and he couldn't answer that. That's when we needed it done. He got mad and hung up on me. He needs a lesson in customer relations. Horrible service at the Basse location every time I've ever been there. There are 6 - 8 sales associates standing around talking instead of helping customers. Went there with my 82-year-old dad who has a flip phone and needed a case. The rep who helped him made a point of making fun of him with two other sales associates and thought I didn't notice. I hope they were all very proud of themselves that they made fun of an 82-year-old man. I switched 4 phones from ATT to Verizon. I've had mistakes on every bill that I received and no one has the ability to help me. I've spent countless hours, on hold, going over the bill, having agents reassure me that we will be credited for our over charges etc. We changed over for the BOGO incentive they had but when there're mistakes, there's no BOGO! It's just pay more and get less! On top of that, I've always paid my bills in full and on time but because I mistyped the account number for auto pay, I'm penalized to pay cash in store for 8 months. I find, in general, that Verizon's cellular networks in and around San Antonio are terrible. I moved from a different part of the country where my phone always had service/signal without issue, so I did not mind paying the Verizon price. When I moved to San Antonio, my service/signal was hardly ever present and when I went into this Verizon location, they rep tried to sell me a bill of goods saying that even though I was on the unlimited data plan, I should pay more to be on the "premium unlimited plan" so my phone gets priority access to the cell network. I left, immediately went to T-Mobile, and got on a plan with them. As soon as my phone connected to the T-Mobile network, I had full bars 5G UC (ultra capacity). Now Verizon is butt-hurt that I transfered off their network and wants me to pay the remaining balance of my device up front, which I will gladly do to escape their scam of a company. This place sucks. You know what, I haven't been into a Verizon store in years and enjoyed my visit. My overall phone buying process this upgrade was terrible but I'm going to focus on the downright terrible service I received at the store and spare you the other details. So, little backstory. I purchased my phones online for in store pickup. It should have been a simple process. That took too long but not the highlight of my story. When we received our phones after picking them up from the store, we went home to set them up and noticed something wrong with mine. We hop back into the car after a hour with customer service on the phone and go into the store. We walked in and the staff recognized us from before. We had been in three times already trying to pick up our phones. We immediately asked to speak to a manager at the advice of the customer service supervisor we spoke to on the phone. The young man asked if he could help us (thanks, you were nice) but quickly determined that he needed his manager as this was an odd case that no one had seen before. The shift manager with a ponytail came over and we explain what was going on. He immediately tried to place blame on the young man who we picked our phones up from (very nice too, you don't suck either) and we defended his glory, it couldn't have been his fault. Our problem had to have happened at the factory. No one was to blame. He also had a stanky little attitude and was not a pleasure to work with. While the manager and the nice young man worked on my phone my husband walked over to another sales associate and asked for her assistance. She had her earbuds in her ears and was playing a game on her phone. She immediately stated that she could not help him and sent him back over to us. He asked her "so you aren't going to help me? and her reply was "no". I had the opportunity to hear the dialog and the stank attitude that came along with it and I was mad. I asked the sales manager, "so that person cannot help him? She's not doing anything" and he stated no. I couldn't believe it. Overall, I'm looking to move away from Verizon. My experience both in and outside of the store has been terrible and it seems to be getting worse. read more

Went in last night to purchase an Apple Watch. We did have to wait almost an hour to be helped due to it being iPhone release day (we had no idea) but we were informed at check in and given the option to come back. Which I appreciated. We waited and were assisted by Juan. He was so so so personable and the perfect amount of friendly and professional. We walked out with EXACTLY what i wanted and it was all thanks to his dedication to give it to me. As we were leaving I looked down at my phone and realized they had closed 30 minutes before and honestly, I would have never known. So I go there on Friday to renew my contract except I want to change to the unlimited plan for a single line from a 12G family plan, upgrade the phone. Homer says no problem. He tells me the single line unlimited plan is $80. I ask does my corporate discount carry over. He says no discounts on unlimited plans. I ask him to give me an itemized breakdown of what my bill is going to look like. I get eye rolling, heaving sighs, arms dropping to the sides. Whatever... kids nowadays, I think. He can't be bothered to print out the actual CORRECT receipt -- I like to see black and white numbers on paper. It's all online, he says. He hurriedly spits out a number to expect as my monthly bill. I tell him to add everything including the protection plan -- I want to know exactly what to expect -- I keep getting sighs and different numbers.... When the transaction is done he says for some reason the "system" is not recognizing the new plan and that it should be a single line. It will be fine by Monday. Just text him to see if the new plan kicked over. Monday comes and I can see online the new plan hasn't kicked over. I decide I need to walk into the store again. Talked to Faith. Turns out Homer was wrong on ALL counts. I have to wait another month for the new plan to kick over and I'm still being charged for one of the old lines. Single line unlimited plan is $65 not $80 and, yes, there IS a corporate discount for unlimited plans. I am highly irritated. Wouldn't you be if you find out that you are paying for something you completely didn't expect when you were told by the fast talking "expert" something else??? I ask to speak to the manager -- Oscar. He is in a 30 minute meeting. I am quickly told if I want to leave he will call me. I say I will wait the 30 minutes for Oscar. Oscar never peeps out of his office despite Faith running in there to explain the situation... supposedly. At least Faith is making a decent effort to clean up Homer's mess. Actually apologizing.... Oh, and Homer is right there at the store as all this is going on.... Faith actually had to ask him about what is going on with this situation. He doesn't address me and his error. Well, I've already wasted too much time at this store so Faith tells me she will follow up with me and that the elusive Oscar will call. Oscar never calls. Perhaps Homer's performance is a reflection of the lack of good management. If his manager can't exercise good customer service why should he. I'm a little disheartened to read all the negative reviews of this location as my experience was stellar. We decided to go to the Verizon store after my boyfriend's phone was lost/stolen. As soon as we walked in, Alejandro greeted us and talked to us about our options for a new phone. Unfortunately, my boyfriend didn't have Verizon's protection plan so we were up the creek when it came to paying for a new phone. Either way, Alejandro was apologetic and assured us they'd send someone our way to assist. We waited for about 15-20 minutes, which was a bit long but it could have been longer. Alejandro walked Allen over to us and introduced us after debriefing Allen of the situation. Allen let us know all of our options, the price we'd pay, and even talked to us about the phone type we wanted. He had a slight issue with the contract but after a quick call to another department, the issue was resolved. Allen even helped us pick out a phone case for the new phone. He did tell us about new services and plans but wasn't pushy about it at all when we said "thanks but no thanks, Allen". Most people complain about things they can't really help when it comes to phone carriers (pricey plans, terrible service, etc) and blame the store/employees. I chuck that up to one of the things we just have to deal with in the ever-connected society we live in. However, when you are already dealing with a bad situation (who wants to go 3 days without a phone) exemplary customer service helps make a bad situation a little better. read more

She wasn't a Verizon customer and was telling me that she could not purchase the case herself because of this (-1 star because who turns down customers throwing money at you...AND you're a cell phone carrier store?! Why do all wireless stores suck so bad? I showed up at 10:30 to pick up a phone I ordered on the Internet. Even though the store was nearly empty, I still had to "check in" and spend 20 minutes listening to awful techno music and watching 2 employees have a conversation in the front of the store. If you're going to ignore waiting customers at least have the decency to hang out in the back room or something. In short - just an awful experience. Can't wait to never come back here. Warren met us at the door (actually opened it for us) and met our needs with professionalism and competence. I'd certainly go back to this store again. I went in to this store to order the new iPhone and they were running an awesome deal...$200 credit for my old phone and free tablet! I couldn't pass it up. Once all my business part was done, the manager came over and helped me learn how to navigate and use my tablet. I have an ipad so I was ignorant how to use this new one. Went to get new phones and sign up to renew the contract as soon as our old one expired. Doing so we left happy until our bills came in. Way too over priced for data. Added more data for $100 more and still we kept getting notified that we were running way too much when that wasn't the case. Went to see what was going on and they never added it but took our money after we kept getting overages and the data roaming even though we had been paying the bill and then some. Our family has been Verizon Customers 12 years spanning two different states. This store is the worst I have ever experienced. All three of our phones came due for an upgrade and we traveled two separate times to the Basse Rd Store. The first to see what new phones were out, check out the deals and do some price comparison. Our service was not good, a long wait and a rep that new less than we did about the pricing and our plan (even though she had her computer with all the answers to play with and not make eye contact). Enough we left. Our second visit was no better (luckily some other guy got our last rep) This time we were ready to make our change, We love Verizon's cell service, and even with the prices going up all the company's run pretty close so we decided to stay. The rep we had was stuck on the EDGE program a brand new promotion where you share min. data etc. This really doesn't interest us we want to continue with what we have even if we will lose the unlimited one of our lines has. This store's reps are more interested in "selling" this new program. So we leave. Okay a week goes by and we travel to the Verizon Wireless off 281 passed 1604. Great store wonderful reps, they actually helped us. But when she went into the back to get our phones, they were out!! So she checked her computer and guess who has them BASSE RD!! They have five in stock. (SHE SAYS) We get to the car and I call them and I explain that we are leaving the Verizon store on 281 and we should be there in 11 min. I told him what we wanted and why we were coming, I asked him to add us to the waiting list. We get there and the store is packed its' about 7:00 pm and the store closes at 8. I tell them who I am, and the guy says yeah the Droids. Everyone gets called except the couple that came after us. The manager for the evening is our rep tonight. I explain everything to him. He goes to the back (It's now after 8) I asked the guy who checked us in why he didn't add us to the list his response "We weren't busy till after you called" (11 min.) The manager comes out and says he only has two Droids and tells me I should order online because they have free 1 day delivery. REALLY!!!!! I know it's after 8, I have been waiting since 6, and traveled to two different stores, but if I were you I would offer service at this store and not what you offer. read more
