My brother needed a phone upgrade so my mom and I tagged along to see the process. Trevor, the guy that helped us, was super friendly and super courteous. He gave us details regarding plans on phone upgrades, told us about deals regarding accessories and future upgrades and services and was a downright fun person to chat with. In between my brother getting his phone set up (data transfer + screen protector installation done by Trevor) and paying for accessories we ended up having conversations about video games and anime which was pretty cool. I was also surprised at how fast Trevor worked and was really glad he was patient with us. He did mention that he had 10 years of service in the field and knows a lot about the products and services they offer which helped a lot especially since we had a lot of questions. I didn't catch the other employee's name (he had a big beard and wore an AT&T hat) who was also helping us out, but he was really chill and helpful too. Worst customer service ever. They take their sweet time when they have a line of people waiting. They talk to much instead of trying to keep things moving so people can be in and out. They do not greet people when they walk into the store just let people wait and wait and wait. Been waiting 15 minutes and not one person has greeted me or said we will be right with you. Very unprofessional. I'm here for a less than 5 minute transaction and have 3 people ahead of me. And of course the pay station does not work like always. read more

This review is for Monica, she was amazing and super helpful! After a rep from ATT in Target convinced us to make the switch we found he did everything incorrectly and when we went in to the store Monica made sure to take care of us. We walked in with a toddler which makes everything a bit harder and they were all super attentive and even put on a kid show for the little one. She made sure our questions were answered and that everything was squared away appropriately. We had an 10:00 appt. at the Santa Clara store. We, and 3 other customers, stood outside when an employee slapped a sign on the door saying they'd open at 10:30 due to staffing. Some people left but more came. When they opened, they attended to people with no appt. When we finally got Jason to wait on us, there was no apology and he was very passive aggressive and unhelpful. I had a variety of problems with my AT&T service. Fortunately a very helpful employee who was canvassing our neighborhood directed me to the Santa Clara store because I needed assistance from an actual store. Thanks Chaz! I went to this location and Leilani was able to help me get my bill reduced by almost 75 %. She and Theo the manager were able to determine that my DIRECTV had never been registered so they fixed that for me. And they also helped with the laborious process of canceling Uverse tv. And then they helped me with our internet dying after all these changes were made. Fortunately the internet problems were just due to a lengthy rebooting process but I appreciated being connected to tech support to troubleshoot the problem. This review is for this AT&T store owner. I recently upgraded my iPhone Xs Max to iPhone 12. I received SIM card but the new iPhone did not sync with IMEI, so I decided to go to AT&T store trying to verify my phone is register properly. It was last Saturday late afternoon, since I was in Santa Clara area, I found a nearby AT&T store off El Camino Real, so I stopped by and walked in for my concern. There were a few customers in line before me, so I waited about 10 minutes before customer service representative OMAR approached me. As soon as I expressed my concern, I asked OMAR politely to logged into my account from his work iPad to verify my new phone information is sync and register properly under my AT&T account. All the sudden Omar gave me a dirty look with super rude attitude because he did not like what I have asked him to do. Not only Omar made me feel upset of not helping me, he took my request so personal and emotional for no reason!!! Omar then walked out of store trying to get store manager on duty to take over. His action completely throw me off. It was the most unrespectful experience that I never encountered. This review is to let the store owner to become aware that it is a trading issue which Omar needs to be trained professionally so no more customers will be treated with no respect, and also not become a victim of possible discrimination. I've had Apple iPhone since its first release up until the 7 plus. I never thought I would get tired of having an iphone but I did..the time came and everyone kept telling me to just stay with it. No thanks. I just don't love them anymore. And wanted to jump ship. The Samsung ship. I watched countless videos and did a lot of research and ultimately decided that the Samsung Note+ was the right phone for me. I was planning on getting it a little later but why not just get it now since I was eligible for an upgrade and I didn't want an iphone anymore..so we came here! Oscar helped us out and he didn't try to sell me anything more than what I was there for. He also even helped out with a problem we had regarding another at&t associate at another location. It is a really busy store and you may have to wait about 30mins or so even if you have an appointment. But I have reasons to give them five stars: 1. Staff here are patient and careful not to make any mistakes. They'll solve your concerns and make sure you are not coming back for the same problem. 2. Even though there's a long wait, store staff (a trainee) will walk around to people waiting and apologize for the long wait. He doesn't need to but he chose to assure everyone that they are not forgotten. 3. The store manager Derek is dedicated and a breeze to work with. He works hard to make sure everything is right. She went over all of the iPhone options with me for both my personal and business plan, and also went over the iPad black Friday deal with me, explaining all of the aspects of each plan in detail. She was by far the best customer service experience I've ever had in a wireless store. In less than 20 minutes I had a new plan, a lovely phone and an otterbox cover since my last phone did not survive the fate of the kitchen tile. Been here three times and each time it's a 1-star experience. They have this fancy queue system that doesn't help. You wait while several sales associates stand around. You wait a little longer and then you find that your name is deleted from the queue. As for the idle sales associates, apparently two have to be greeters, and everyone else can only perform one function (e.g. service, U-verse, phones, accessories). So if 10 people are here for phones and only one "phone sales associate" is working, all the other AT&T employees will just watch you wait. And that's all the hassle just to be seen... Reviews about service, value, and price would require a book. Think it's time to jump ship and forget AT&T.... oh wait, that's what I just did. read more

I went in to get a new phone because my phone has been broken awhile. I know the process was super fast, however.... ....the sales representative didn't activate my phone. It's not a big deal but I am super irritated as I asked him if it was ready to use or if I needed to change my SIM card, all he told me was that there's no need and my phone was ready to use. I literally just spent an hour trying to figure out what was going on, and I finally just tried calling someone and big whoop, 'please activate your phone' I'm upset because of the fact he said it was already activated but this was the first time where I have never gotten my phone activated from AT&T when I've went in to the store. Sounds like a first world problem, but it was just the simplicity of it that pissed me off where he literally could have just put in my number on the site and activate it which is...his job. Either way I'm super irritated and I've wasted a good chunk of time figuring it out when it could have been solved at the moment I was there. Very knowledgable & solving problem fast We went there for getting the buy-1-get-1-free phone deal, and that case is very complicated. During the plan transferring process, we had lot of questions regarding this new deal & new lines, he is knowledgable and always answering our questions very fast. Also we encountered some accidents, and he can figure it out and guide us with his rich experiences and guaranteed the deal for us. 2. Very patient We get to the store very late, and that store is almost closed. Our case took more than 1.5 hour to finish (cuz it involved more than 2 AT&T family plan transferring and a sprint number transferring), everyone else in the store are gone, but Ron is still working with us to get the deal done. He can always quickly give the most optimized solutions, and he is also very patient to coordinate us step by step. Overall, I have to say this is my best experience in ATT. read more

I went to this store for an upgrade on 2 phones on my account. I DID MY HOMEWORK BEFORE GOING THERE ( YOU MUST DO YOURS AS WELL ). I was given costs that were too high on everything I talked to them about. They tried to overcharge me on one thing, I showed it to them online and they said they didn't know that. They kept trying to overcharge on the monthly costs per phone by adding in the $5 or $10 per month for the automatic upgrades, which I didn't want. Even at the end, they tried to put it back in and I had to take it out. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT HONEST. IT IS NOT BY ACCIDENT THAT EVERYTHING THEY DID WAS GOING TO COST ME MORE MONEY. I DON'T MIND THEM UPSELLING, BUT STILL ADDING IT IN AND SAYING IT WAS A MISTAKE? AT&T as a whole was fined back in about 2016 for allowing third party scumbags like themselves to attach to customer phone bills. This would go on until you called to take them off, which they did. But AT&T had to pay millions in fines for this activity since IT TURNED OUT THAT AT&T GOT 1/3 OF THE "STOLEN" MONEY THAT SAID THIRD PARTIES TOOK. NICE BUSINESS MODEL AT&T. You suck and I will be terminating your slipshod, barely legal business. See below for the particulars. I visited this location yesterday and I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped me. However, he was the only guy in there with a big beard and tattoos. I had an appointment at 4pm and he took he right on time. I showed up kind of frustrated because I had been trying to avoid going to the store, but the website was giving me issues. He was super chill and nice so he calmed me down, without even knowing it lol he asked me what I needed and took care of me so effectively. We had a nice chat, he made it comfortable, and painless. The store was well organized, quiet, and no chaotic at all. While I was sitting there a few other customers came in. Everyone was greeted by someone and immediately assisted. Bundle of Lies: AT&T's new sale model Hi AT&T, My wife and I walked into one of your new stores in San Jose to learn more about your TV and phone plans. We asked for a brochure, but we were told AT&T is paperless for the environment. A sales associate and a manager then ran through a limited-time deal to bundle cable, internet, and cellular. We wrote down the information and started to exit the store when the manager asserted that the deal may be gone tomorrow, and he'd sweeten the pot with a $100 visa gift card. My wife and I looked at each other and decided to become AT&T customers. Then a flurry of activity began. Wielding tablet, the sales agent and manager signed us up for cable & internet. They confirmed our apartment could have cable and answered all of our questions, but I was never shown a single contract. Instead, they took our information, clicked buttons, and handed me the tablet at the signature screen. A cellular plan was more of the same, they verbally explained the process, had me sign signature screens, and I was never shown a contract. The deal soured a bit as the process went on, the $100 visa was actually financing credit, our phones traded in for financing credit rather than cash, and the bundle ended up requiring a more expensive cellular plan. We protested, but they assured us the bundle was still a good deal and we could cancel anytime. 12 days later, the cable installer came to our apartment and asked "Where's your satellite?" Stupefied, we said "What satellite?" The sales representative & manager forgot to mention we needed one. In fact, we spent the time talking about cable, and how the AT&T service would be easy to transfer between apartment complexes as we'd have to move for my job later this year. As we can't have a satellite, we'd have to pay more per month for cable services, and worse, the bundle unraveled. The $100 visa credit was gone, and the internet would be more expensive too. We went back to the store and insisted on a solution. We only signed up for the cellular plan because of the bundle, and AT&T couldn't deliver the first and main component of the bundle, cable TV. The sales representative said there was nothing they can do as it was an honest mistake on their part. So we told them to return it all. That's when the sales representative's face went white as she was clearly paid by commission. She insisted we couldn't return our phone because it had been two weeks. My wife quickly corrected her, "No, its been 13 days." We returned our phones and cancelled all services. Frustratingly, we lost a few hundred dollars in re-stocking charges and nonrefundable fees, and we weren't able to get back our old phones or even cash/store credit for the trade-in value (remember, it was financing credit). At least they said we wouldn't owe any fees for (incorrectly sold and never installed) satellite TV. I was then billed $96 in fees for cancelling satellite TV, and notified I'd have to pay a monthly $20 early termination fee till the end of my contract. 24 months.
