Came here to check and buy a new phone and had few questions . Service horrible! They signed me in , I was waiting 20 minutes , no one came to me. Even if they were busy, they should update me. I would never ever again come to this location . When I decided to leave . A girl who signed me in, didn t event bother to ask why I m Leaving. I would give it zero stars if I could. My mother and I went to the shop at 3pm and were told people were on break. We waited 39 minutes for an associate who then helped a man that came in after us with an apparent short question. We were eventually helped at 3:43 by a women who was brisk but polite, she activated the new phone but never offered us a plan/package of any sort or an apology. I could see the break room from where we were seated and could see 4 employees eating and talking. It's so sad to see that customer service is nonexistent at this store. Esther! I LOVE YOU!! So today was Day One of my physical attempts to find a new phone. I have been rocking a partially retarded Sidekick for the last 2 years and really, I can't count the number of times I have wanted to maniacally destroy and torture this crap ass device after it perpetually drops my calls, won't call out and really is just a constant pain in my ass. Seriously, this phone has ruined relationships because calls and/or texts never saw the light of day. But I digress.... After the very helpful suggestions of you awesome LA Yelpers, I decided that the 8525 phone was the one for me. I had peeped it online, but with something as personal and intimate as a cell phone, you gotta test the milk before you buy the cow if ya know what I'm sayin....actually what the hell am I sayin? Anyhoo, I popped in here today and the first thing I saw was a shiny white smile from my new favorite mobile phone sales person in all of LA! Hell, I'll even say the world, because Esther rocked that hard! I asked her about the 8525 and she looked like someone had just popped her Big O cherry as she explained all of the exciting features of this phone. She then pulled one out and let me fondle it. Oh my Esther, aren't we moving a little fast here? To add to the fun she didn't talk to me in super technical terms about the phone. She dropped them in of course, but never once did she make me feel like the technotard I really am! After her awesome walk thru and her promise to match and beat any price on the phone, I decided, HELL YES! This is going to be my new phone! We then started going over the minutes and the additional doohickies I would need and I was ready to drop plastic, dammit. She then asked me how many minutes I used now and I couldn't remember, so she jumped on T-SCREW YOU-Mobile's website and helped me try to log in. This didn't work, because I didn't know my password, so I reach for my Sidekick to call T-Mobile and wouldn't ya know, MY PHONE COULDN'T CALL OUT!?!? Ugh, I hate you Thorn in My Sidekick! She then let me use her personal phone, very cool, and after trying to get through the maze of their completely subpar voice activated system..."ENGLISH, I SAID ENGLISH, not TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND CREDIT CARD BILLING!!", I heard the words I never want to hear ever, ever, ever, ever again... "Your plan doesn't expire until August 22nd." Bloody Hell!?!?! One more month of this f#&$in phone!! Ugh, I then hung up and looked at Esther and we both knew what needed to be said. Neither one of us wanted to have that talk. I mean our relationship was so strong, so hopeful, so...amazing, but sadly, it had to end. As hypothetical tears welled up in my eyes, she looked at me and said, "Like my momma always told me, sometimes ya just gotta suck it up" And with that, she smiled again and gave me her card and we made a date for August 23rd. I'm in love you guys, in love with Esther the mobile sales girl. We are gonna make this work! And just because the timing wasn't right, we will meet again. I had to wait to write this review because, first, it's an AT&T store, what can I seriously expect? Also, my iphone broke for the second time this week, so I was upset, but in retrospect, the guy who helped me, he wasn't very good. He seemed more interested in the game on TV and bored as soon as he found I wasn't purchasing. I was upset, but not at him, and he was so indifferent. I'm still sitting here trying to remember how to text on a temp phone (that I had to purchase) that came from maybe 1994, unless Brandon Walsh sends me a text, I'm not even going to bother with it. They have no temporary phone lend (which I think Sprint does) if you have a phone break, they just have second party insurance company with a long wait time for a replacement and a hefty deductible and really bad BBB reviews. I don't actually have a contract with AT&T anymore and I may switch to another carrier after some research. As to this location, other times that I have been here, the customer service has been good (they can't help poor policies) so I'm at 2.5 stars for this place. 1 or 2 for the company overall. read more

To be concise, skip this place. *IF* and when an employee manages to notice you lingering by their computer terminals, they put you on a list. I've no aversion to lists nor waiting. But waiting for multiple people to decide on what phone to buy, when I have only to acquire 1 accessory (I already know that it's there), is silly. I even told "list girl" my reason for being there, but it didn't seem to matter. When I finally got my name called, the no-personality salesman introduced himself and I told him what I wanted. As we approached end of my transaction (only about 5 minutes later), I again, summed up my expectations before he "sealed the deal". His ensuing confusion proved that he hadn't listened to my initial requirements about this purchase. Had I not confirmed, there would've been phone compatibility issues. I wanted to switch from a prepaid to a postpaid contract with AT&T, and sign up for a specific new smartphone on a 2 year plan at the same time. The phone model I wanted was only available online, yet I was told the account status swap I needed to action could only be done in store. Prior to visiting the Studio City AT&T location, I spoke to about 7 absolutely useless AT&T employees over a bunch of different customer "service" numbers, and from local authorized AT&T stores. Few of them knew their internal process very well, none could provide a solution or actually help me give them MY money. I tried calling one last time to another local branch (Studio City) to see if someone could assist. Spoke to Andrew, who immediately identified my problem and provided a straightforward solution - all I needed to do was pop in store. When I visited, they didn't have one, but two managers on duty - Andrew wasn't on but a delightful sales rep named Gina assisted me, and I was literally in and out with a new plan (and phone enroute via mail) within 15 mins. Her post sales service was also top notch - calling me later in the week when I received my handset to walk me through activation - an absolute asset to this otherwise average national carrier. AT&T - HIRE and PROMOTE people like this - not stupid, lazy dropouts or people who can hardly speak English. Great store, great team, excellent experience. Keep it up guys. Thanks! Awful the person who helped me lied to me about so much. Upgraded my kids phones, he says for 5.00 you can get these iPads with free service. He said my bill will be around 350.00. I told him nothing over that. Not to worry he says. My bill comes and they now run around 500.00. I went in the store and spoke to the manager and him and he straight out lied and I called him on it. No worries, I like being an early bird....gotta get that proverbial worm right? 8:59 rolls around and they unlock the doors. Nice! They like being early too! I walk in and exclaim "I'm here for an iPhone. I want this this this this and this". "No Problem" was their reply. They entered in the info, hooked up the phone, kindly took my wad of cash, and I was on my way. The whole process took about 7 minutes and I was reconnected with the world. I have been a T-Mobile customer since the Catherine Zeta Jones days, so getting out of my contract and over to an Iphone was a bit intimidating. However, I came here and was out the door in about 30 minutes with 2 new iphones, a 2 year business cell service contract, and a lot whole new love for the color orange. I received AMAZING service from the manager and Clarissa... They answered all my questions, gave ma a great deal, and really seemed to appreciate my business. I didn't have to wait long at all... A few of my friends have also had great service here, so Im surprised to see so many negative yelps. After my first few iphone days, I received a text from ATT saying I was about to go over my data usage. I called Clarissa (my sales girl) on her cell number she gave me and told her what was happening. She went ahead and took care of upping my data plan for me. I didn't have to call customer service or anything! I was very impressed. Anyone who cuts out the automated middle man is a hero in my book. Go right when they open at 9am or on a weekday. Also, if you are looking for an iphone, call around 1pm and have them hold one for you. I went once and they were already sold out for the day so I had to wait for their next shipment to arrive. If you are looking for a company who believes customer service is not the problem of the company and that basic listening skills are overrated, AT&T is the right company for you. Specifically, this store. As a transitioning Virgin customer of over ten years, I almost signed onto my boyfriend's contract as a way to break up the consistently high cell phone bills he was receiving. Here is how I became a Sprint customer: - The first time we went in and inquired about this, Shaun immediately launched into how he could lower my boyfriend's internet bill and get $250 from AT&T to buy the equipment needed - This took an hour, including an extended stay by Shaun in his manager's office to crunch numbers. - Shaun also told us he doesn't use AT&T internet (not offered in his area) and how to get the equipment needed for less using his T-Mobile phone ("Better reception"). - I spent this time while electronics were talked about watching "The Good Dinosaur" without sound on a nearby monitor. This is not a good movie. I do not think sound would improve it. - When we were nearing to what Shaun thought was the end, we asked about the phone situation. In less than three minutes, he laid out everything we would need to do. Plus, there was a promotion of buy one get one free for iPhones. This - plus leaving "The Good Dinosaur" - was the best part of the night. We said we would be back. - My boyfriend called the AT&T store to see how long the buy one, get one free deal was going on. "Through the end of the week." - Upon investigation of the modem equipment recommended by Shaun, it was not compatible with AT&T. - Went back to AT&T store on Friday. Was informed that the promotion ended Thursday. We asked if there was anything that could be done and were given the number to AT&T customer service to see if he could get them to honor the deal due to the store's misinformation. - 30 minutes of being transferred from department to department at AT&T and then getting his call dropped by the call center, we called Sprint if they could help. They could! - We left, saying good-bye to the manager Eric. He said good-bye back. No further words of communication were shared. - We left with our new sales guy leaving to go get a coffee right behind us and talked to us about the possible release of the new iPhone. No further words of communication were shared. So, in short - I would rather watch "The Good Dinosaur" on continuous, silent loop than give AT&T my business. And AT&T is okay with that. read more

Manager Angel Ruiz could not help when when I discovered I was being charged for a phone line I cancelled in Oct 2016! 26 months @ $34.00 a month a total of $884.00. I spoke w customer service while in the store for an hour and a half and when I finally got to a manager (the line cut out ) after 5 minutes on the line w this person. For the first time ever, I got in line to get an new iPhone today, mostly because I really wanted to replace my camera on my old phone. So let's just say no one was going to die if my phone didn't get replaced. I was 44th in line, the line moved smooth and fast. Through a little glitch in the system up upgrade was not technically available at the time. The manager was nice enough to work out a lil deal with me. It was a super reasonable deal and I left happy. I came back a few hours later to see if the glitch was fixed. It was! They saved the phone! They totally believed me as a the customer and went out of their way to help me! I LOVE that. They totally took a risk for me and it worked out for all of us. I actually bought my apple care through them, which I was not planning to do. But I was so impressed by the kindness of Tanvir and the manager I decided to go for it. Terrible. I desperately came in here one night because my galaxy phone was done. They sold me a new phone (iphone 5), which took 3 hours. I felt like I was buying a new car. It was really awful. Finally, I was out of there, only to find out that night that the phone they sold me was defective!! I immediately returned the next Morning to the same sales person and told them I needed to exchange the phone, to which they refused, stating that it was an Apple issue, not theirs. Even the Manager wouldn't help me or make an exception. Mind you, this was New Year's Eve and we were leaving out of town. I took my defective phone and left, made an appointment with Apple for the next week. Come to find out, they could have EASILY made an exception for me with the phone by using the 14 day buyer's remorse clause!! But, they were apparently too lazy or indifferent to do so. What I did first called direct tv and the person I spoke to I thought help me with my bill and I thought she did and she even told me that it would be $104 not the $154 That I got. So I went into the att store and spoke to Mando and I have to say that he was fantastic, he explained everything to me and got my bill to were I am very comfortable about the amount. Visited this store twice in the last week. Last Friday evening service was extremely slow when I walked in - a couple associates on the floor working with customers, another greeted us at the door and then signed us into their que and after quite sometime when I was ready to walk out eventually answered the questions I had since the other two were still working with people. I received the plan info I was looking for and pricing on equipment. I stopped back in this week and again was promptly greeted, more associates were working at this time and shortly after arriving I was in good hands with Clarissa (I believe that is her name, I better check the business card). Got everything taken care of in a very timely and thorough manner. Customer Service was outstanding!!! I hope my new journey with AT&T remains as pleasant as my in store experience. read more

Ready for the AT&T Wireless Idio-Cing-crasies? 1. They advertise a rate of .05/minute to Mexico but charge .45/minute to call from West L.A. to West L.A. 2. You will be billed in one minute increments even if your call is only 10 seconds long. So if you place two calls in the same minute (let's say one is busy) you'll be charged for two full minutes. So, it's possible to get charged .90 for two calls that don't "go through", in under 30 seconds time. 3. You will be charged for calls to your voicemail. Same rate: .45/minute 4. If someone call waits you and you answer it, you may be charged that crappy .45/minute rate for two calls at once! Even if you drop the other call. This happened to me. I got charged for the call I dropped for 8 minutes after I let it go. 5. If the network drops your call and you dial the same person back, you'll be charged that physics-defying, two calls in the same minute BS described in #2 above. 6. When you call to contest the craziness, the Cingularly illogically trained employees will defend the physics-bending billing. 7. No more free phones. That really sucks. Ahhhhhh, after my experience with the AT&T Wireless Idio-Cing-cracies, I don't want more signal bars, I need a real bar! read more

Hate to do this, but need to warn people. Let me say we have been with AT&T for years, I mean twenty or thirty years, maybe. A year and a little more than a month or two ago, I had dropped my Iphone and I came in to inquire about getting it fixed, then I asked how much a new phone would cost. The salesman said, or if you buy one you get another one free. I decided that that was a good idea. I agreed to do it. In the middle of all the paperwork, they told me or and you need to also get our tv system. I was shocked, but they were being really friendly, and I thought they were helping us out and I wanted to help them out too. There were two of them helping me. Then they said we had to drop one line and add another phone number. I was super confused, now. But again I agreed, I was too far along with this whole things. It was all weird. Then they convinced me to buy all the accessories, you got a good price if you bought three. I was neck deep now. I told them okay, but I want to get insurance on the phones, like our daughters phone, too. They said okay. My phone was complicated, my husband and I had to go back a couple of times to get it ironed out, with our photos and data and whatever. Cut to and year and two weeks later, I plug my Iphone 7 in to charge it and when I go to get it, it's hot and dead. I take it in to the AT&T store they say or you'll have o take it to Apple, they'll be able to help you better. So I go there. I spend six hours there, waiting in line and having the phone diagnosed. They say it's dead. I call AT&T and they say I don't have the insurance, it was all removed when I got the new phones, not just on our but all four of our family phones. I was so upset. I said I'm canceling my service, I have no contract. They say you still owe $350 on the two new phones. I was absolutely livid. I was under some weird contract that was never explained to me. I am so pissed off. I absolutely hate AT&T and as soon as I contact a lawyer or get through this I will drop them on all of my stuff at my house, cell phones and tv system. The guys here were just looking for bonuses and could have cared less about me a long time loyal customer. I got completely taken, plus my phone is a lemon!!!!!!! read more

We were in today and waited for an hour as three employees sat in back- you could actually hear them laughing at the five people that they made wait for almost an hour. Not bad. Make sure you 100% understand everything you're being told/sold. Some stuff may not make sense on your bill and picky little details don't get explained 100% of the time (for instance--a traded in phone used as credit to one's account will appear as "Visa payment" on a customer's receipt because Visa gift-cards are what's used to credit an account). Complex deals and business/multiple line/multiple product (home phone/Internet/mobile phone) accounts may take longer to address--but make sure you do so you don't feel confused (or worse--surprised by the next bill) Otherwise this location is good at finding a way to service an account. Let's say AT&T's customer service 800 number left you with an unresolved issue....chances are good that this staff will get ironed out and you'll find better resolution than with the corporate 800 service reps. read more

Wow ok. So I needed to switch service and I was a little hesitant but the deals they were offering were too good. So I went in and I met David. David is new but talk about amazing customer service. The guy was so attentive to my needs and wants that I honestly went through with my purchases because of him. The guy worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect. Not only that there was an issue with my phone and on his day off came back in to make sure he fixed it. If you need a phone or anything for that matter go see him. I went in for a simple question. Inside I saw one employee helping a customer, and two other groups waiting. I waited for someone else to come to their floor. And waited. Then I see an employee come in the rear door carrying lunches. I asked her if anyone else was available. Her reply" no. They are in here, doing other things" Not maybe " someone will be out soon. " !. 20 minutes later another person came out- going to the people she obviously had been working with in the back. Meanwhile, the original guy who was helping customers when I arrived- finished with his customers, and disappeared into the back room. Jason preordered the wrong color iPhone pro max for me and is an absolute pain to speak to. He spent an hour trying to sell me other products that he couldn't focus on the one thing I was actually there for. I call ATT this morning and they tell me I'd have to cancel my order, reorder another one, and wait for the new one. Absolutely ridiculous. This set me back a week and a half by ordering yesterday. I'm sure it'll set me back another week and a half if I order today. The manager on the phone this morning also spent more time making excuses for the employee than she did actually fixing the issue. I would not recommend you use this store for anything. Plenty of other stores in the area with professionals. I went in to purchase an iPhone 7 plus (in addition to 2 others that I purchased a few weeks ago). The sales person was nice and professional and took his time in setting the sale and going over my account. I asked him to start the phone to restore from back up. As we were setting it up, Kyle who is apparently the manager (who seemed like he really wanted to go home) kept coming and asking the sales person if he needs help. He then took my new phone and started to key things. I asked him not too set it up as a new phone. He totally ignored me,set it up as a new phone and told me "I'm sorry we only sell phones. We're not in business to help people with the new phone" I insisted that he erase it so it can be set up correctly. He was so mad and angry and didn't care when I said that I will cancel the sale and go somewhere where the staff is a little nicer. The sakes person felt really bad so he gave me his business card and told me to come in the next day and he would help me. The point is 3 new phones add up to almost $3,000. You would think that the manager would be a little nicer. He rushed me out of the store without Helping. I had to knock on the window to get my receipt which he didn't even give his employee a chance to print and give me. Kyle should not!!!' Be in a management position. He will drive this store to the ground. It's my first time going to an AT&T store and my last. I would much rather deal with Apple directly! Way more professional! I was lucky enough to be helped by Ruby Contreras, who was extremely patient and friendly and answered all my questions and went the extra mile multiple times to get me the best deal possible. She explained everything very thoroughly and made sure I left feeling confident about my decision. I returned the next day to finalize the deal and she went through all the details again with my family and we all left extremely happy and pleased with our customer service. After reading some of the Yelp reviews, I was nervous about coming to this store. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I got really great customer service here! There was no wait at all and they had all iphone color and size options in stock. I was afraid that transferring my phone number from another carrier might be complicated, but Sam made my entire experience really painless. He patiently explained all the features of my new phone and all of my different plan options. I know this store got some bad reviews in 08', but they seem to have their act together now.
