Very rude staff. Extremely unprofessional or helpful. This place is a disgrace being a "corporate " store

This location has stellar service and friendly faces! They got me in and out with a brand new phone and service plan in less than 45 min!

I called the Tennessee St. store and the sales rep promised to wave activation fees and give me a better deal if I came in the store. So, I went to the store and signed up for the business plan and a trade-in promo. That was in June 2020. One month after receiving new Att phones and trading in Sprint phones I was charged 4 activation fees. Had to call 1800# and tell them I was told activation fees were waived. Took 3 different transfers to take off fees. Then I received letters, in July/August, stating I wasn't qualified for the promo I signed up for. The letters contained gift cards for $60, less than 1/10 of the promo that I signed up for. I have spoken with online reps more than 6xs, been in store 4xs, spoke to store Managers via phone 6xs, and provided documentation via text 3xs. I was told a regional manager would contact me with a resolution in August. Still no contact as of 9/29. The crazy thing is every time I call 1800# to see if adjustments have been made, they send me a survey. And every time I rate them a 1 and when the survey asks why I send them this same text. I just update the date and amount of times I've contacted them. Still no contact. They have my money and phone numbers and don't care to rectify the issue. Wish I would have paid $40 more a month and went with Verizon.

This morning I waited 10 minutes for them open only to be told their computers are down, an inconvenience we all understand. What I don't understand is the lack of compassion, the lack of sincere apology for the circumstances but instead feeling like I was getting the "whatever" attitude. I don't like going places where I feel like I'm extending more customer service than the employee. That said, there ARE good employees, this was a marginal experience 2 times the 3rd time was frustrating. In the future I'll wait for a different clerk, one that I had was outstanding so I'll stick to him. Also notable was the plastic cups and trash at their front door sitting around the outside bench. Surrounded by restaurants I'm not surprised but I have to assume on some level they walked right past the mess and didn't bother to clean up their own store front. This is a corporate store, they should have more pride in their appearance. It was also never explained that an old phone must be returned to a CORPORATE store...I know because I tried 2 non-corporate stores and they both explained it. Corporate stores are not marked as such so you won't know unless you look it up or walk in and ask.

Verizon automated service does not recognize the number. I've been on hold for one hour. My partner whose existing account my devices were added has also attempted to contact customer service and has been booted off the call twice. The groovy music on hold will probably be in my head for years. I may still be on hold. Perhaps I should sprint back to my previous service. I never had to wait this long to fix the rare occasional inquiry.

Went in looking for a screen protector replacement & wanting Verizon to replace/apply a new one…read more They did not have one available. I asked about what I would have to do to get that done. I thought it was part of the protection plan & pointed out that I went to that location specifically due to it being a corporate store, as opposed to a TCC location. One man (black) was confrontational, making a demand that I show him where I was reading that information online. His counterpart, a white guy, simply said that I could buy one from Verizon.com, bring it to their store & that they'd replace it. The black guy spoke up again, in which I said (paraphrase) "hold on, I'm talking to him now", & the black guy pulled "the racist card", & I called him out on that. I then demanded to speak with the manager, in which the black guy became more confrontational. Eventually, the manager (a black woman) came out and asked me to tell her about the problem. As I was speaking to her, the black guy interrupted & made a demand that I "tell the whole story", in which I was. (With all due respect, he needed to see his way out of that conversation, & allow me to speak with the manager) He became more confrontational and referred to me as "boy" in a statement of "listen here, boy". I looked right at him and said "who the f*** are you calling boy". The manager spoke up, saying that she wasn't comfortable with confrontation & said she wanted to de-escalate the employee & situation, & asked that I step outside while she does so. I agreed. She came out later & apologized, stating that he would be escalated to HR, provided me a number, & said to expect a call. I have escalated this incident to corporate & filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. With respect, although the 2 guys involved have different skin colors, 1 used "active listening" and got me to a "yes answer" while the other remained confrontational, blamed it on racism, and then proceeded to refer to me as "boy". I went to a different location & got my screen protector replaced. While speaking with an associate there in regards to the issue at the Apalachee location, they stated that this store is known for being rude/mean-spirited at times... and I wholeheartedly agree at this point. I understand that "bad apples" exist, so I try not to blame Verizon as a whole, but from someone who worked for TeleperformanceUSA in a billing department, the "bad apple" at this store was certainly "out of line", & provided an inappropriate response to the wrong person. I hope that this gets addressed in an appropriate manner. Edit: In addition to this review, I would like to add that at one point in our "spat", another black man confronted the problematic employee by stepping up to him & pushing him back towards the office as though the employee was going to confront me "face-to-face". Assuming your cameras work, this is all on video.
