This store gets four stars for good service. AT&T wireless service would get only one star if I were reviewing them. The folks at this store were able to get on the phone with the wireless service to figure out how to get my account transferred from my business to a personal account (and sell me a new iPhone at the same time). Without their assistance, I am not sure I'd have a new phone today. They were patient and understanding and said just the right things to make the experience bearable. If I could give a zero star rating I would. HORRIBLE customer service. Called store and they told me to come on in as appt not needed. Checked in and was asked to wait in the car with an expected wait time for 20-30 minutes which was fine. After 30+ minutes went back to the counter for an update and was ignored by the check in person for like 10 minutes as she was small talking with another person at the counter. Finally asked her for update and was told she was busy helping someone else and couldn't give update. So went back to car and called on the phone and was told would be another 30 minutes and I should have scheduled an appointment. Explained to her that I tried and she blew me off saying there are other customers to help. Totally rude - did not even apologize once. Only offer was to remove my name from the wait list. Will not go back to this store again and honestly has me considering whether to stay with ATT. read more

After a very frustrating experience at Sprint, I visited the AT&T store with pretty low expectations. It's an obvious copy of the Apple Store, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My intent was to add a line to my existing account and purchase a new phone for my daughter. I was greeted at the door by Fallon and explained what I wanted to do. She showed me two phone options and explained the pricing details in easy to understand terms. No overly complicated data plans or tech talk. After the hardware decision was made, she ran through my account, added the line and helped me select a number. Made sure the phone I wanted was in stock and we were on our way. Her boss asked her to try to "up sell" me on more hardware purchases. She brought out an iPad mini, a couple of Apple watches and some accessories for the new phone. I could tell she was uncomfortable with the heavy handed sales technique and, honestly, it was the only part of my experience I didn't like. If I needed more product, I'd ask for it. Please, AT&T, don't do the heavy handed, used car salesman pitch. I felt like I was being forced to decline undercoating. After I declined all of these extras, we finished up the purchase and I was ready to go. The manager came and introduced herself and asked how my sales rep was. Again, it reeked of a used car dealership, but I gave my rep a glowing review because, frankly, she deserved it. She made me feel comfortable with the process. She didn't push anything on me until she was forced to by her boss, she didn't do the typical "tech talk" jargon filled, confusion causing pitch. She was, kind, courteous and professional. So, Fallon, you get five stars and I hope your manager sees this and you get recognized for being a good employee. read more

Yay, I'm a fan of AT&T again. Okay so my husband and I wanted to get iPhones. I wasn't too excited because of my last experience with AT&T (which is like one of my first reviews). I definitely wasn't up for an upgrade until November. But I wanted to get my phone the same time as my husband. I wrote to the AT&T customer service explaining my situation and how unfairly I was treated the last time I upgraded and that I wanted to upgrade at the same time as my husband. They wrote back saying, that everything was fine and they put thorough notes on my account so that I can upgrade at the same time as my husband. Cool! This is a corporate store. I suggest you go to a corporate store rather than those authorized dealers. Those authorized dealers seem to always screw me out of something. I've had 2 bad experiences with them. The reason why we went all the way to this store was because the authorized dealers did not have iPhones. The person helping us was great. I explained to him the situation that we had, and he quickly looked it up and asked his manager and told us that we can definitely upgrade because our account was very well annotated and approved for an upgrade. So we got our $99 iPhones! I was shocked that everything went as smoothly as it did. I'm back on good terms with AT&T. read more

The female manager should be fired,as the other customers in store stated no people skills.I complained to the female store manager as two other customers were doing, a elderly couple who had an apt. as I did and waited much longer.The manager accused me of assault when I complained standing five feet away from her and I had a mask on.She is around thirty,I am a 72 year old vietnam vet whose best friend just died which I had told another employee at the store previously.She then mockingly said I am sorry your having a bad day and told me get out.I stated it was a great day until I walked into "her" store.I should have left but stayed,employee Alex changed sim cards on my phone, but didn't authorize it or know why my phone didn't work.After four phone calls,the apple rep told the ATT people what to do, they knew nothing,my wife and I are going to T-mobile asap.This young woman should seek employment as a prison guard because that is the way she treats her customers, The date of my appointment was Tuesday June 8th,2021.Hopefully by the time someone reads this she will have hopped on her broomstick and be gone. read more

Wowza! What can I say? Bought a new 3Gs iPhone a week before at the Jefferson location and the guy there was really nice. My boyfriend was jealous so he ordered the new Blackberry online... He got it in the mail a couple of days later but was not sure if he liked the model... So we went in to the location on Ynez and were lucky enough to have Karla D. assist us! : ) What a doll! We weren't really in the market for any new phone, just had questions about our new purchases... the girl did everything right! My husband and I had the best customer service from the guys at this AT&T location. To make a long story short we were unhappy with our current carrier due to price, poor customer service and empty promises and hoping to make a change. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Our switch ended up being a little more complicated then we thought (porting the numbers) and we had to come back a few Times. The staff was patient and personable and got us into a great plan, brand new phones and all of our accessories. I am grateful we made the switch because the service we got from Randy, John, Michael and Jeffrey was A+. They even had to stay after closing while on the phone with corporate and switching our data to our new phones and made it comfortable for us. Overall we had the best phone provider customer service and will make the drive from Fallbrook for all of our AT&T needs. I will absolutely recommend this location to my friends and family. JON D sold me an apple watch and he spent an hour trying to pair with my I phone with no success. He assured me I could go home and call the number he provided and do it myself. 3 days later after speaking to 10 level 2 customer service men and women all telling me they had no answers I called back to this store to find out what the next step should be. I spoke to JOEL (the manager!) who told me because I don't understand technology no one would be able to help me. He also told me my only option was to do nothing or bring the watch back and pay a restocking fee. When I questioned how that made sense he proceeded to talk down to me and be very condescending and insist it was not the their fault or anything that they did on their end to cause this. If I understood anything about technology I would know this. With that I ended the conversation in complete disbelief. Please please find another At&T location to go to. My existing phone died and I had spent 30 minutes with AT&T on-line tech support. Needless to say, I was ready to migrate over to Sprint which is the carrier that my wife uses. I absolutely hate cell phone companies so my attitude totally sucked when I walked in, this on top of talking to their on-line support brought my angst level to an all-time high. I am known to make coffee nervous. I am not an easy person to deal with. I drove up to the front door and there were 5-6 guys standing outside bullshitting among themselves and a few more of them inside milling around. I was thinking that this place was loaded with slackers. One young man saw me walk in and approached me and asked me what I was looking for and how he could help. He reviewed my account and stated that he could save me money. He compared my plan to what I was really using and was consultative from the very beginning. I'm a professional sales guy and sales trainer...this guy has amazing skills. I was impressed...very impressed. Long story short, this guy listened to me, saved me almost $50.00/month and sold me a Galaxy Note with a free (kind-of) tablet. I wound up buying cases for both and a new bluetooth I was so appreciative. The sales guy is ANTHONY CASON. He is a amazing guy...articulate, caring, understanding, AWESOME! Bad Service, Just what I expected......I went into the AT&T store on Ynez on a Sunday and wanted to get a new upgrade and ended up getting an new phone as well a new I pad for the $99.00 as well. I did really not need this but made a deal with the salesman (JAMES) that If we did this transaction that we would cancel one of my existing lines, cancel our existing I Pad line and switch the service to the NEW phone and the NEW I pad, we shook hands and he agreed, he also agreed it would be "quick". After over 2 hours inside and just sitting, waiting while he was in the "backroom" he came out and said everything was fine. I checked out the phone and it was "not fine" things did not work......after another 20 minutes or so, it was working fine and we left. Before we left I asked why my old phone still worked that we agreed to cancel was still working he said "it might take a couple days to change over" well, that did not make sense to me but I left anyway... Turns our that JAMES did not really care about shaking hands and making a deal with me as we agreed upon, he just wanted a commission and made the sale, I am guessing because after 3 days our old phone and I pad is still activated and we are paying for it he was full of crap. Well, I was hoping that when I shook the salesman's hand that a deal was a deal, maybe AT&T should take some pride in their sales people and take care of their customers that spend over $250.00 every month...! I went in to the store last Saturday to upgrade my phone. The representative said that he would change my name to my married name rather than my maiden name, which was still on the account. The name change caused the upgrade to lock. I tried to return a day later and it turns out that rather than changing my name, the representative completely deleted it as an authorized user on the account. When I expressed my complaints, the manager simply made excuses for the representative saying that these are new fraud prevention practices. The manager who was supposed to be helping me left mid-conversation with me to go check in some new customers that had just walked in. When he got back, he appeared to be busy typing on his iPad. When I asked how long I could expect to wait, he said he didn't know and that he would have to call customer care to cancel the upgrade. Then he said, "Oh, business account customer care isn't open today, we can't do it today". He kept typing. I said "What am I waiting for?!" I tried to reexplain all of the inconveniences I was caused. He said I would have to come back, again, for the fourth time, "early in the day" because the business line closes at six. He said we would have to cancel the upgrade together. Or he said I could try to call myself. Did he give me the number or ask if I needed it? No. These reps make mistakes, half heartedly apologize, are unable to give clear guidance, explain what to expect, and wasted my time by typing away on their iPads, walking away mid interaction, and walking to the back of the store without me knowing what is happening or what to expect. read more

Never write reviews but I had the best experience and help I could ever ask for at this store and feel they deserve the credit. I was in need of a hotspot for my internet needs and due to where I live. I was unsure if it was going to work so the manager waved my restocking fee so that I can go home and try it out. I have been in and out of that store a handful of time the last couple weeks and the customer service is outstanding. Felt like they actually wanted to help me solve my problem instead of just doing whatever to get me out the door. AWEFUL!!!! I would give 0 stars if it allowed. DO NOT SWITCH!!! THEY LIE!! I was making a switch from sprint. The original sales rep totally lied saying my final bill from sprint would be covered up to $600 per line. Now stuck with a $2500 bill that they will only send me gift cards to cover up to 1500. So what wasn't supposed to cost me anything to switch is costing me $1,000. Came into the store and they are no help to reverse the damage the sales rep did. The original sales rep told me I had store credit I had to use in store or it would go away. A couple hundred dollars worth. So I got cases I didn't need, glass screen protectors and a Bluetooth player all which I expressed "really for free? I don't really need anymore". But the sales rep said well it's free and if you don't use it it goes away. Now come to find it was deducted from the payback program or could have been put toward my bill. Hum! Would have been nice to know at the time! Robby the manager wouldn't even take responsibility for the wrongdoing of his representatives. Worst customer service ever. Zero loyalty to customers who have been loyal to them. I just purchased an iPhone 7 plus with a $50 screen protector. Didn't even make it through the night and the phone doesn't work and the screen protector is peeling off. Went back in to the store and asked for a new phone and my money back for the screen protector. They told me I have to go to the Apple Store to get the phone replaced and they will not refund me for the screen protector. It's sad how businesses cater to those that do not pay their bills on time and shun those that are outstanding at paying and being loyal. I even asked to speak to the manager and she insisted that there is nothing she could do for me. So now I have to wait 45 minutes at the Apple Store for a new phone and then I have to go back to the ATT store to get my screen protector replaced. It's real sad how the customer always comes first is a thing of the past. I will never go to that ATT store EVER again. I came here to see about upgrading my iPhone to a 7 from a 6. From the moment we walked in the guy was grumpy - no smile, no welcome. He then went and just got the phone, taking 15 minutes or more with no word of sorry for keeping you waiting when he finally came back, and expected me to just upgrade with no discussion of cost. When I explained I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $1,000 he got snarky - I asked if he could write down how much it was per month or to pay outright, and it got worse from there, so I got up to leave. I was "helped" by Nicole. I just went in to upgrade to an iphone 5s. Nothing more. But she changed our whole plan around without going into the details. She added a "hotspot" device, which she made seem like was free for getting a new phone. And she got rid of my unlimited data, which I specifically told her not to touch. Honestly, the workers at this store are out for commission. Make sure you have time to go over ALL of the changes and charges before signing. I think they specifically target people that need to be somewhere else, because then you don't ask as many questions. I walked in the next day to get my plan reverted to the way it was and the representative said they couldn't do it, and that I had to call. He also scoffed at me for wanting to keep my unlimited data. (Hey man, don't judge! Give the customer what they want. Just cuz your brainwashed into thinking your new pricer plans are better doesn't mean I have to be.) I've been to another at&t store and they call customer service with you and advocate for you. Not here. Bad service. No customer care. Good news is, after 1hr on the phone with an at&t representative, she got my unlimited plan back. I also found out there is a charge for the (un-needed) hotspot device Nicole gave me, so I need to go back to return it. Thankfully the phone at&t representative reimbursed the restocking fee for me in advance. Moral of the story: If you can wait 3-5 business days, its better to do your phone upgrades with over the phone, with people who do not look at you as a way to make commission. You get your phone shipped to your house, great service over the phone and none of the pressure of sale sharks. read more

The guy who assisted me yesterday as I was getting a new iPhone encouraged me to try and enter my Apple password several time until it locked my account. He said it was the best way for him to be able to reset the account and password and let me access it immediately with new credentials - unfortunately, my account is now locked for 2 weeks and there's nothing I can do about it. Customer care should be honest. If the guy told me that locking my account would have turned into having to wait two weeks before trying to recover it I would have found another way to recover my password prior to entering it too many times. Also, if he was competent, he would have known how to transfer all my contact and photos even without entering my Apple ID. I would recommend this AT&T branch to offer training to their employees and encourage them to let the customers know when they do not have a sure answer to a technical issue. This employee was friendly but obviously incompetent. Again, this is not his fault. It's the branch responsibility to train their employees. This branch has failed to do so. read more

I was super happy when Jeffery when he told me he was able to get me on Directv with a low monthly payment and a $200 visa card and 2 years free NFL ticket and get my corporate discount added to my phone plan which we had not been getting for a year!! However i am super disappointed because i have been texting him since January calling Directv and At&T and getting transferred from department to department telling me that the visa rebate is coming in the mail then telling me it is being credited to my account and then getting a call last week saying they finally confirmed with the store that i was eligible for the $200 discount card. Then to call back today and find out that oh sorry its been 120 days so we can no longer offer it! This company is a joke all the passing around to finally be right past the 120 days and be told that! And still don't have our corporate discount added to our plan!! Customer service has been awful!! My husband works for Costco and we will be sure to make sure everyone is aware of the awful customer service we have received from AT&T and Directv and make sure to direct them to other companies for services. read more

This place is horrible. And looks like they've remained horrible for years. Wasting 45+ minutes is a norm here. Inconsistency with employees about what they can and can't do depending on the day and the employee so the information we receive is so useless. Seems like there's a couple people working but then majority of the time they just disappear and the customers just stare at each other like...where did everyone go.
