Horrible service and horrible employees. I went the day before hours before closing time to purchase a new phone and was told it would take around 3 hours to transfer my data so I would have to come back the following day. The employee took down my information and said I had an appointment at 10:00am the next day. I go at 10:00 am and check in on the tablet they have and sat down. Another customer came in didn't even check in and was immediately helped by what seemed to be the manager. I waited for around an hour before I interrupted to ask if I was going to be seen soon because I had an appointment at 10. He said the employee from the night before didn't make the appointment right so therefore I'd have to continue waiting and he was going to help out ANOTHER person before he helped me. I called the AT&T in Santa Cruz and was told to come in and they were able to get me in and out. The employee in Santa Cruz was amazing compared to the incompetent ones in Watsonville. read more

Fair warning, a family member accidentally misplaced their their wallet inside this store and went back to follow up and apparently their security footage showed a woman inside the store pick it up. Needles to say, the store and local watsonville police deemed it low level crime. Ugh. read more

How easily one employee can turn a positive experience into a complete disregard for customer service and unprofessional behavior. I purchased an iwatch yesterday from this store. I was greeted and assisted by a kind and helpful employee. This employee assured me I could come back and be assisted with customer service, if anything went wrong. Today, while trying to register a new sim card today, my phone stopped working. This was a difficult situation for me as my phone is critical to my work. I asked the employee to look-up my account to insure the new sim card number had registered. My account showed it had not taken the new sim number, so I asked for the new number to be entered. The employee refused stating it was against policy, even though there was not a replacement card in the store. I asked to be connected to customer service and he refused, due to Covid-19 and said I had to call. As I walked out, I was mocked with "Have a nice day" and "Happy New Year!". This was completely unprofessional and provoking, due to the circumstances. I will share my negative experience with my co-workers and staff. read more

I switched to FirstNet as they advertised best coverage for medical and first responders. since staring I've had nothing but dropped calls, failed service, my cell phone has been suspended and being on trauma call- I've actually missed 3 calls due to no coverage and one act of cell cancelation. I tell everyone I know when the subject of phones, tv, etc comes up. Entire company is filled with scammers selling and backed up by people who don't care about you or their jobs. Wow, an awful lot of one star reviews. Maybe that's a subtle, little hint, fellas . . . like being hit on the head with a brick. According to my one star rating, I guess I'm not a special customer, after all. I'm the norm. I went to the Watsonville store one Sunday to purchase a 100 gig per month mobile hotspot (prominently advertised and promoted by ATT). I explained what I wanted before waiting, nearly an hour, to be summoned by one of the staff members. I repeated what I wanted to purchase and, after a minute or so of punching stuff into his tablet, the staff person said they couldn't sell me what I wanted. If I wanted, I could get a 40 gig monthly plan, just not the 100. Why not? I was told they didn't know why, they just knew they couldn't. Plus, it would take nearly a week for them to send me a hotspot device and activate the 40 gig plan. The helper wasn't aware ATT sold 100 gig plans . . . was I sure? Yeah, check your own website. After being told I would need to do it online or call, I complained about not being able to buy something they allegedly offered and wanted to sell. Why call this place a "store" ?. . why not a "disappointment factory" . . . in which you have to wait an hour to be disappointed. He consulted with someone (posing?) as the "manager." No luck . . . and more complaints from me. Then the staff got busy. After about five minutes of tablet time, the staff member said he had "good news." If I bought an ATT compatible hotspot device (router) and brought it into the "store" they could take care of everything I needed. "100 gigs a month?" I asked. Yes, indeed. At this point I'm just mildly disappointed, but that's just not good enough for ATT Watsonville. They aim to crush all your hope. So, I leave and purchase a $400, ATT compatible hotspot router and return to the "disappointment factory" two days later. Short wait, this time. I explain what I'm here for and here's my ATT compatible hotspot router device thing. Oh, sorry, they can't sell me the 100 gig plan . . . they still don't know why, but they say I've got to do it online or call. (Nowhere does it say this ATT product can't be sold in ATT stores) Are they kidding? No . . . of course not . . . they want to ensure my complete disappointment. More and slightly louder complaints from me. Now, the "manager" hears what's going on, comes over and says he remembers me from Sunday . . . and he remembers the conversation and remembers they said they can't help me (yeah, no sh*t!). If he actually heard the conversation on Sunday, why in Hell didn't he tell me that buying and bringing in my own ATT compatible hotspot router wouldn't change anything? Now THAT'S some good managing . . . playing dumb. (I don't think he was playing) After hours and hours and hours of phone calls to robots (and supposed ATT people), failed attempts online, and more calls, I was about to search for another company to be disappointed by, when I tried one last call and got someone who was nice, pleasant and knowledgeable (His name was Ken, good luck trying to find him). Whole thing done in 20 minutes. Oh yeah, the $400 router I was told I had to buy and bring in? It won't work with this ATT plan. (Thanks again, Watsonville "store") I had to buy different one from ATT. Do I need to add this one last thought to an excruciatingly long and sad review? Why not . . . I cannot even imagine a better customer service experience than I just had at this store. I had an unbelievably complicated problem that seemed impossible and Sofia was not only kind, responsive, helpful, but she was patient and listened which a lot of times means more than anything else when you're frustrated. I don't know her exact position there but she deserves to be a manager if not a store owner. Well my 83 year old uncle is hearing impaired. We put his name on the list. As that was asked of us. I told them he is hearing impaired. They call his name ans take him in. They guy rudely tells me you have to go outside. After I expressed he is hearing impaired. Not cool. He won't understand half the questions. So he comes walking out gets one thing fixed not all of what he needs. 20 years with this company and 6 lines of service really poor customer service. I made an appointment for this store for 9:00 a.m. on December 31. I received both a text and an email at 7:00 a.m. that morning confirming the appointment. At 9:02 a.m., I arrived at the location, and even though two employees were in the store, the door was locked. The male employee in the store at the time rudely yelled that the store does not open until 10:00. I said through the door that I had an appointment for 9:00, and help up my phone. He held up 10 fingers and said "we don't open till 10." I said what about my appointment. He said, due to a covid outbreak, they don't open till 10, even though the two employees were in the store just sitting there doing nothing. The fact that my appointment had been confirmed by both text and email that morning, and the store did not reach out to inform me of the delayed opening, was extremely disappointing. I did not want to sit around for another hour, so I left and will visit another AT&T location to have my situation resolved as this location does not seem to care about its customers. read more

The people they have at the store are nice and helpful but At&t U-verse management is a joke. We were suppose to have our install happen this past Tuesday and then it got pushed to this Thursday (not the end of the world). Come Thursday the installer comes but the lines are not working so a technician has to be sent out to take care of the lines (same day, awesome!). Well the installer, technician, and an ATT rep that I called yesterday all promised that an installer would come out today. I didn't receive a call this morning so I called today and have been told that nobody can come out till Monday! We keep getting pushed around and it's ridiculous, we're not getting compensated at all. It's our first week in Watsonville, our parked car got crashed into right in front of our house and Thursday my boyfriend just started his first teaching position. It's been a hectic week... And my boyfriend needs internet over the weekend to work on projects for his students. I'm pulling my hair out and having to deal with this while at work. I just recently bought a new phone as of Sunday. Sadly, when I left my settings and SIM card were not set up. I couldn't make any calls, text messages, or use my internet. It was very stressful so I decided to head to the Main Street location to get some help today, where Reyes was able to assist me immediately. He gave me his full attention, to find a solution for my phone to get fixed. While I was just on my 1 hour lunch I didn't let him know so he doesn't feel rushed. Regardless, he worked fast and efficient within 10-15 minutes my phone was good to go! I just want to give a huge thank you to Reyes for making my experience at AT&T amazing. My mom always goes to att in capitola but due to covid it was closed. They are always amazing! Walking in everyone was nice but one of the employees was trying to push my mom to buy something she couldn't afford after we said multiple times no . It was very uncomfortable. Then they expected my mom to transfer her old contacts to the new phone herself! I have never been told to do it myself so I was shocked and I know my mom wouldn't be able to figure it out. When I asked if he could because we had never done that his reply was well you would be stuck here for another 45 minutes. It seemed as if he didn't want to help. I'm frustrated and I'm missing the team at capitola they are always willing to do anything to help the customer. Customer service is really bad. I walked in and a representative approached me asking if I needed help. I told her my phone had broken(I have a prepaid plan) and I needed a new one, asked to see what they had. She just stood there looking at me for about five seconds. Aren't you going to show me the new phones, tell me about the new plans?, I asked a little annoyed. She then told me to go to Target, that I would get a better deal there. I guess she figured she wasn't going to make any money off of me and didn't want to waste her time. Totally incompetent people, all they care about is their commission and they put zero effort in treating customers in a professional and kind manner. That's BS, because there's 20 employees that are standing around without anything to do except accost me as I walk in the door. My boyfriend went in today for an upgrade on his phone the F@t girl with glasses that waited on him gave him a hard time about some tiny hairline fracture on the plastic on his trade in phone that no one even knew about or could see, it had no impact on the phones working ability she then told him she couldn't take it, then went to her manager and came back and said she would take it but they would send him a bill for $144 to fix it! It was a damn trade in and to be sold as a refurb! Give me a break! She lost a sale in a new $800 phone ! He left and we went to another AT&T .... And guess what , perfect customer service and they took the phone with no problem and even gave him a free $50 cover with his new phone ! F@?k Watsonville AT&T ! And we have 5 phones on our plan. I hated even giving one star . . . it should be zero stars. AT&T is a very dysfunctional organization. Their processes are very inflexible and not customer friendly. In the past months I have experienced errors on my bill that charged me for calls not made, dropped service, slow internet, and static in the lines. The company makes me feel like it is operating with 1980s technology. When you call representatives, they are full of apologies but no ability to correct anything. My strongest advice is to void AT&T regardless of what other telecommunications company charge or offer. Especially in this geographical region. read more
