I've been a long time Verizon customer and wanted to share my experience that i had today at this location, so I wanted to upgrade my phone, but before I did that I paid off the remaining balance I owed on my previous one. Amazing customer service! The managers and all employees that work here are phenomenal. I was helped by Jesse and he went above and beyond to make sure I got the phone I wanted. There was some problems with the process at first but he quickly resolved it and I was able to get a Samsung Note 20 5G Ultra smart phone. He was very patient and did not blink or panic once. Unbelievably bad service. Went in right at 10 and there was two girls one of which I'm assuming was floor manager walking around with an iPad and another lady ACTUALLY working with a guest. We were told by the lady walking around with her iPad that it was only a 15 minute wait. And. Welp it's 11:05 I'm sitting in my car writing this review with my still broken phone. While it's understandable to have technical issues with an eSIM ITS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE TO leave customers standing around an additional 45 minutes later with ZERO explanations. Sometimes you have a not so good experience at verizon, but I have always found the people at the green valley road branch to be extremely helpful and I want to give a shout out Yair, who really went the extra mile helping this Boomer Lady negotiate a difficult data transfer to a new phone . I have gone to this store for many years. I went in because I apparently got a virus. I am knowledgable when it comes to technology..the jerk met me at the door where the signs are. I never got past the signs.. Didn't ask my name and see to have an attitude. When I tried to explain he talk over me . When I tried to show him he wouldn't listen. Finally I showed him a program called maleware bytes that is recommended for androids and I beta tested many years ago and he judged it as bad. I even said can't we set down. He said no need. Unfortunately, nobody took ownership of a glaring issue related to items that never shipped even though I had a confirmation number that it should have. No intervention. No promise to at least do some work behind the scenes over time and get back to me. Just said there is nothing they could do except give me a phone number of someone else that probably couldn't do anything (and he also said he could not). It's either one of the most ridiculous service systems ever created, or it is employees that choose not to assist. I don't know which one. Regardless, the minimum expectation I would have of a Verizon corporate store is to take ownership of a glaring customer problem and at least work on it behind the scenes (even if it takes several days) between departments to resolve. read more

WHERE DO I BEGIN. My partner and I have been Verizon customers for 10 years. We have had no issues at all. Until recently when my partner finally upgraded to a new refurbished phone. She bought it directly from Verizon as a certified preowned. They sent a dud that would not activate and not even with an electronic sim card. Over the course of a week- i dealt with Verizons customer service representatives, various ones, not just one. I would promise to get callbacks and I never did, they would offer me promotional discounts and never applied them... In the end it took me leaving early from work twice just so I could get a hold of them before they closed so they could turn on her previous phone that was turned off. But guess what? They still charged us for the old phone including $70 in fees and activation fees. She is still continuously being charged for a phone that does not work. They promised to send us the return label and box so we could send the phone back and guess what? That never happened either. If we walked into Verizon in store, we were explicitly told that we could not be helped, that they only sell new phones and that we would have to call customer service. So all the guys sitting there twiddling their thumbs and playing on their phone at Verizon are only helpful if they can sell you a brand new shiny phone?! We have been dealing with this company's issue since December 3. It is almost January and we still are being charged for phones that don't work, being lied to by their customer service and my partner still has not gotten a new phone which she needs desperately. We did get the 40$ activation charge sent back to us but I feel like that was a way to plasticize us. I was even promised a phone call for NOON today by a customer service representative last night and he did not follow through with it. Turns out you can take the old phone down to the UPS store and have it sent back easy peasy but guess again- HE DID NOT SEND US A REPLACEMENT LABEL OR A QR CODE. I don't know what has happened where all of a sudden after 10 years of loyal membership, they have failed so completely and miserably. We will not be continuing with them any longer, unfortunately and will most likely switch to AT&T. I can't necessarily say don't use Verizon... But beware that you will most likely end up going for a joyride when you speak to their so-called "customer service ". These people are sneaky, liars and all they do is use false promises to get you to shut up. I don't know why some people give this place a bad review. Maybe it's because the reviewers are just lame. I have been going to this store for about 5 years now and they are ALWAYS helpful to me and my family. I have bought several phones from them including Samsung, iPhone, and Pixel, and every time they are helpful in getting my stuff setup and the phone activated even if it my phone is not behaving. They know the "tricks" that sometimes it takes to make it happen and have always been patient with me, even when I'm being lame. Yes, they try to sell you the insurance and accessories, but that is their JOB. So, don't fault them for that. Remember they have to put up with the public and that can be frustrating at times. So I walk into Verizon to purchase a new phone. As I walk through the door nobody greets me in any kind of way. I think to myself " well maybe they are busy with other customers'" but still, when a customer walks in the store you acknowledge their existence. Period! I walk over to the new iPhones and there's a Verizon member and 3 customers looking at the iPhones as well. I'm standing near by waiting patiently and still nobody acknowledges my existence. The Verizon member and customer walk away, I'm assuming they are also buying a phone. 2 of the customers friends decided that standing directly in front of the iPhones was a perfect place to have a conversation, rather than the waiting area a few feet away. I politely ask them if I can look at the phones. They were nice enough to move over. I checked out the new iPhones and well I had no idea what I was even looking for in an upgrade. I was thinking once again , "Wow wouldn't it be nice if someone could help me and guide me into figuring out which iPhone would best suit my needs?" Still no help! 20 minutes go by and not a single Verizon member said a word to me! Not one single word. Long story short I left pissed off and with no new phone. I'll also mention this isn't the first time I got poor service at this very same Verizon store. I have my assumptions as to why I didn't get proper service but I also don't want to believe that to be true since I am a resident of Watsonville and love my community for the most part. If I can give zero stars I would. Due to the COVID19, I made an appointment to make sure I would be seen. I received a phone call confirming my appointment. We get there and are rudely stopped by someone at the door, informing us they are only letting one person in at a time (which ok fine I get it, COVID19 and all, but you could have informed me about the 1 person rule on the phone & you had 5+ employees congregating together without masks on) so my husband goes in the store and I wait in the car. As he's in the store, he turns around and sees another customer with their teenager. He asked the Verizon sales person "I thought you can only have one customer in at a time?" He received a bullshit answer and walked out. I've been a Verizon customer since 2003, I have never experienced such horrible and dishonest customer service. My first review will not be a exciting one. We visited the Verizon store in Watsonville, and we were not pleased with the assistance we received. Rosie was very negative when she was helping us. Even though, she smiled the way she talked to us was very unprofessional. She talked down to us and tried to make us feel stupid because we were not familiar with some of the phone's functions and she even gave us a sarcastic laugh. He's rude, insolent and unprofessional. My wife and I go to Verizon (Green Valley) to upgrade a pair of iPhones and buy a new iPad. Mora meets us outside and insists we have the My Verizon app on our phones. "Let me be sure I understand this," says I. "I can't spend a couple of thousand in your store unless I have your app?" And, we can't go in together - his interpretation of the Covid rules. Three people walk out while we are talking yet my wife and I can't go in together. Last week, I had dropped my phone the day before we left for the coast, and was worried that I had cracked the phone itself. I was greeted at the door, he checked my phone, and assured me that it was just the protective cover that was damaged--the phone was fine! Today I had such a horrible experience at this Verizon and on the phone with customer service. My 86-year old friend was offered a $264.00 flip phone that he cannot use given his age and abilities. The company will not take it back and want him to pay the $185.00 balance to close the account. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling this to him and not giving him a clear understanding of how much this phone cost. The amount on the receipt he received is different than the real price. The real receipt was on a computer screen with digits so small it was a clear attempt to conceal the true price. It's hard to believe that these young people at Verizon are willing to participate in such fraud. I want to say that Jonny was incredibly helpful and a treat to work with. I went in to join my girlfriend's plan and make the switch from AT&T to Verizon. I also needed to apply a corporate discount, drop some services, and purchase a new phone. Jonny was courteous, polite, informative, and patient. I know a few things tech and he was able to explain to my partner and I all the savings and benefits of our new venture without being pushy and seeming like he was "Selling" too hard. He of course made his sale; with the addition of a new customer to the Verizon family and a new iPhone in my hands. Additionally, he spent time after the store had closed making sure wee were fully taken care of and provided his personal cell number to ensure I could call in case I needed anything at all. Overall, a great experience. I would hope his customer service output is a reflection of his co-workers conduct as well but either way, you cannot go wrong with Jonny at this Verizon store. Lastly, it may seem like a small gesture, but he greeted me from 10 feet away with a smile and an open door and shook my hand and told me his name as I walked in. General Manager Armando Mora is in desperate need of customer service training. He was very rude and acted like I was bothering him and not welcome. Was short with me, made me feel I had no reason to be there. I left shaken and on the verge of tears. I understand that store procedures might be a little different during these times of a pandemic but shouldn't the employees also be a little more sensitive and respectful. I encountered this demeanor with Armando 2 times within a week. If he doesn't like his job or enjoy helping customers then find a new job. Complete jerk. Had an issue with an online order. Sales rep said they could not do anything and said come back in 24 hours. There were 5 employees just doing nothing and showed zero initiative to help out. I called the Verizon customer service rep and asked about my order and they said there was no issue with my order. I gave my phone so the verizon customer service can talk to their customer service. The worst part is the other 2 customer service reps were laughing and doing nothing. The worse customer experience ever. well, I showed up to update my phone. I told the associate ( I will not mention his name) I want a Samsung S10. He pointed this phone which was a little big. I want one about the same size of my old phone. The associate said, "You want the cheaper model." With insurance, your payments will be blah, blah per month. I do not want insurance. I do not want monthly payments. The associate said, "You only used 2GB out of 5GB." "Do you want to increase your plan?" Me-"What!!!???" NO. The phone comes with a charger. The associate- "Do you want to buy this wireless charger?" Me,"Why would I want to buy that when phone comes with its own charger?" The associate,"well, you can change things a bit." I went ahead and agreed to purchase three other accessories. When it came down to payment, the system did not allow the associate make a complete sale. He was only able to charge for the phone. I was told to come back later when the system is up to purchase the accessories. I got the call and showed up at the store. I had to sign in and guess what? I was in the back of the line. It was not me fault I had to come back and to add insult to injury, I had to wait a long time to be helped. the system is wrong. If a customer has to come back for something which is the fault of the store, that person should go in the front of the line. Went there to exchange a phone for a pre order... let me tell you I will never be going back to that store. Brand new iPhone 12 pro ordered online turned out not to be the "big screened" phone that I wanted . Tried to exchange the phone for a pre order- I was told it didn't work that way. They would need 3-5 days to refund the money minus 50 dollar re-stocking fee. And then they could order the pro max. They way Verizon handles their business and treats their clients is appalling I'm glad I never switched back from sprint to Verizon especially now. I'm a retired combat veteran USMC who has been screwed over by VERIZON WIRELESS for over a year. I purchased 3 new phones in 3/2019 for $750. VERIZON said my 4 line plan would increase to $230 a month from $200 mo. The next month bill was over $250 I called they said not to worry it would come down the next month. The next bill was more so I want in to the VERIZON store, they put me a new plan stated the disabled veteran discount which was never applied and the new plan would lower my to $250 mo. to $225. The next month bill 8/2019 increased to over $300. I called and they said they made a mistake and referred me to a supervisor she found the problem and stated all the over charges would be fixed and I such pay the $300 and wait for next bill also she would personally call me and confirm everything was fixed. The new bill 9/2019 was over $300. VERIZON CLEARLY TAKES ADVANGATE OF DISABLED VETERANS PLEASE LOOK OVER YOUR VERIZON PLAN AND CHANGE PLANS. ALL VETERANS SHOULD DROP VERIZON IN PORTEST . I was getting the runaround by Verizon since January 2020 and it wasn't until I drove over an hour to this location, due to the Covid-19, that my issue got resolved. I understood the closing of many stores during the pandemic, but my issue was well in advance of the shelter in place. I have been coming to this store for a really long time, usually I don't buy anything I mainly visit for bill payments at the kiosk. When I last visited this store I was greeted by a short man and from reading his name tag it looks like a new manager because I hadn't seen him before . Please instruct your managers to deal with customers with more urgency. This guy asks me what I need at the door and then checks in with one of his representatives before letting me in. Once I'm inside the store, I'm making my bill payment as I'm at the kiosk I overhear the same manager telling one of his representatives what the next customer is in for and he makes it a point to tell the employee to offer a list of things. Easily the worst customer service I've ever received. They do not greet you, they treat you as if you are a burden to them. I broke my phone and needed a replacement and was told I couldn't do anything. So I went home called Verizon myself and they pushed forward my upgrade. I then returned only to wait 45 minutes and not be helped. After being talked to they didn't offer me any benefits or help me whatsoever. Avoid this place like the plague. Especially if a woman named lisette approaches you, get ready to receive no help from someone who has the communication skills of a wall. They were so jam packed with customers because of the iphone 4S release but Cindy the women that checked me in, was awesome! Not only was she still cheerful at the end of a what I'm sure was a hard day but she even went in the back and mad sure they still had an iphone left, so I didn't have to wait if they didn't have the one I wanted.
