Tons of decor to choose from here but most of it feels cheap and has a strange chemical smell about it. Their furniture all feels like chalkboard. I've seen comparisons of the new location & name to the previous Garden Ridge. I only visited Garden Ridge when they were closing so things were a mess and picked over. So my perspective going into At Home was fresh. I'd heard about it and as a home accessories lover (who am I kidding I just love shopping). I couldn't wait to stop in. I found myself stopping by one Sunday morning before going grocery shopping. It's a pretty big store and was well organized. It was not crowded which was fantastic. I was able to move about without worrying about others being in my way. I went in with some items in my mind that I was interested in. However, as I browsed up and down every aisle (yes every aisle!) my list grew. So many things I want in my new apt when I move next month. Luckily I kept things somewhat under control and did not spend all my money. I came across a couple employees who were nice but no one bothered me while I was shopping. I appreciated this. I just like to be able to find an employee when I need them vs them bothering me every few minutes. Let me shop in peace....There's some serious thinking going on when I am shopping. Two things I was looking for I did not see. One was flatware and chair seat covers. Also there could be some improvements to the dinnerware offerings (Note all things that were on my wish list lol). Lastly, be sure to look at whatever it is your buying. Some items I picked up (before buying) had some noticeable imperfections. I imagine these imperfections are why things are so cheap. read more

There are some cute items here (albeit generic...but you know that going in), however the store (especially the paintings) are always a mess. Disorganized, damaged...yet, not discounted. The line to check-out seems to stay atrociously long (with only 1 or 2 cashiers...EVER). To top it off, I called this week with the sku number for a painting and the employee couldn't tell me if they had it or not. He said it showed they had two but he couldn't find them, didn't know what they looked like, and that I would have to come up and look myself. Umm. Okay? Sure, I'll drive 20 miles to come check myself when you should be able to tell me based on the sku. I will say that I don't think it's At Home in general. The one in south Austin is super organized, the lines are less long, and the employees seem more helpful. My biggest tip for this location would be to add more cashiers...or encourage the current cashiers to have a sense of urgency.... read more

Love this store!! Fabulous Christmas selection and basically whatever home needs you might have. They have so many unique items you won't find anywhere else. Excellent customer service. My first visit and I did find the outdoor chair cushions I was shopping for. The place was practically empty on a weeknight and that made it easy to shop. The store doesn't seem much different than when they called themselves Garden Ridge. As another reviewer noted, you must look carefully for imperfections before buying. I will check Hobby Lobby first because they offer the same decor items and you can always get a 40% off coupon at RetailMeNot.com. At Home will allow only a 10% discount on your next shopping visit if you join their mailing list. You can signup at the register or online. I asked if I could use the 10% off today when I filled out the slip to join the mailing list. You would have thought I had asked the cashier for a kidney. An emphatic "NO" from the lackluster young male clerk. I had told him it was our first time at the store. The place was empty. He was obviously not the store manager or their Director of Marketing but in the interest of wanting me to return for a second visit he probably could have given me the discount or at least have been pleasant or enthusiastic encouraging me to return to shop with them again. I won't be surprised if this store closes as soon as their first lease is up. Worth checking out but I think Tuesday Morning offers better quality merchandise with much more pleasant staff. read more

This is my 'Happy Place'. I've been to the new store several times in Cedar Park and it is clean with large aisles. I needed new patio cushions. At one specialty store they were $70 each piece. I got cushions that are fade resistant at the new At Home for about $30 each piece. It is about a 30 mile one way drive for me but well worth it. read more
