Yet, the Square Go application had multiple appointments available. She seemed kind/cool person during the two appointments I had with her thought I had found a new salon but nope. Felt, deceived and disappointed as I'm trying to support local businesses. Oh well, thankfully there's many options in LA.

They even questioned if I had booked for the wrong date. I showed them my confirmation and then they were like well just text her. I informed the staff that it was my first time there so where could I find her number and they just looked at me and said they would text their group chat. I ended up finding a DM option to text on instagram which of course she did not respond to; she showed up 10 mins after and did not apologize for being late and simply tried to brush it off. Then she made a comment about my highlights looking like they were three months old and started laughing and fake apologized for being offensive. By the time she was "finished" she looked at me and said it looked puffy which it did look puffy because she rushed it. Then she's like I can try smoothing it but yet she's also telling the staff around her that they're closing soon. At that point I was frustrated and just asked to pay. She asked if I liked it and if she could do anything else but clearly she did not want to take more time. Thankfully my sister was at another location and asked the person she was with if they could squeeze me in for the day. You can see the smoothness from the person I went to after they fixed it versus the work Frances did; I would not recommend. Very unprofessional.

Unfortunately, my experience this past Tuesday was extremely disappointing. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00 pm. I arrived on time, but there was no one at the front desk, and a few stylists assumed I was a walk-in. The stylist who was supposed to do my pixie cut was still with another client, blow-drying her sopping wet bob-length hair, and didn't acknowledge me for quite a while. When he finally did, he said he would be finished in 15 minutes. I told him if it would take longer, I would rather not wait, especially since I had driven 35 minutes from Orange County (one way). I left briefly and came back at 3:15 pm, but he was still with the same client. A professional would have communicated a delay and respected the client's time. By 3:21 pm, when I decided to leave, he was still styling her hair with no end in sight. Meanwhile, another employee attempted to divert me by offering a shampoo. She handed me a robe that was far too small and insisted I wear it, even though I explained I didn't mind hair falling on my clothes since I was going to the gym afterward. I also mentioned my long drive, and she responded with an insincere comment about how "beautiful" the 91 freeway is--something that felt dismissive and patronizing. As she led me to the shampoo area, she rolled her eyes and made faces to a coworker. At that point, I stood up, told her not to make faces, and informed the stylist I was canceling my appointment. The entire atmosphere felt unprofessional and immature--more like a schoolyard than a salon. There was no customer service, no apology, and no manager present to address the situation. I genuinely feel bad for the salon owner, who may not even be aware of how poorly NEW clients are being treated.

It wasn't a drastic change but it was so needed and so refreshing. Crystal helped me out and made me feel like a new person, as she would call it my Alter Ego! I was thankful for his honesty and appreicate that he wanted me to get the very best outcome. I then scheduled with Jen and she was like a bright lil sunshine. We cut off the 10 inches and it was so fun deciding what to do with it next. She truly knows hair and is very high level professional. I will be back! The location is in the LBX shopping area with plenty of parking, but it can be busy after 5 or on the weekends. Inside the salon is stunning and they offer you drink services which was so nice.
