Came here for the memorial day weekend. It was packed, I give it 3 starts because honestly I felt bad for the two girls running up and down with kids running around and screaming. I think they should hire more people. I ordered half pepperoni pizza and half buffalo chicken. They sent me the entire pizza with buffalo sauce and the kids weren't able to eat it. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have never felt more saddened about sharing oxygen with a person than the server I had today. I had an extremely disappointing experience with a, frankly, racist and rude waitress at this establishment. While sitting, the children in our party were drawn to the jukebox. The waitress immediately told them (in a strong, loud, and demeaning way) to stop. The adults in our party were in the process of calming the children, but the waitress did not care. She snatched the menus from our hands, screaming in an incoherent way that disturbed the patrons. She babbled about the jukebox and a perceived (it did not exist, further proving her flustered and presumptuous mood) slight that one of the adults in the party seemed to have displayed. She kicked a well-meaning family out of a restaurant because a six-year-old child existing was an insult to her. She screamed at a teenage girl who spoke of accountability in the face of such threatening and deranged behavior. She embarrassed herself and this pizza restaurant with the madwoman-like behavior she exhibited in an attempt to accost the only non-white family in the restaurant. She forced a family planning to spend money at her family restaurant to leave, a choice I hope she will regret when seeing the results of this review. I will never return to this restaurant. I will never let myself or my family be subjected to such arrogant and xenophobic treatment. I regret that the children in my party witnessed such a demented sight today - it is a blight on our otherwise-lovely vacation to Lake George. read more

We ordered a drink and 3 slices of pizza... the pizza was okay, as well as the drinks. Nothing special. BUT... we only stayed because we were hungry. The woman who waited on us almost made my grandchild cry (3yrs)!!! She was sooo rude.. and so loud!!! Was here 09/04/2022. Food was good..... but when our check was brought to us we almost overlooked that they added a 20% tip onto our bill. And at the bottom of the receipt it gave a choice of 15, 18, or 20% tip. So if you don't see that the tip was added you will double tip them. It's ridiculous. It's misleading. read more

The buffalo chicken salad was saturated with buffalo sauce and very salty. The chicken on the salad was warm chicken tenders that tasted like they were sitting out. The chicken parmigiana sub was made with the same chicken tenders, bread was good but cheese tasted cheap. I would not come back. Really nice place. We got there during pretty busy time - early afternoon Sunday of Labor Day weekend - but we found the table. Very attentive service even though the girls were really busy between seating/taking orders/bringing the food/billing. Very polite and professional, regardless of how busy they were (I almost felt sorry watching them work their behinds off). We had few slices and chicken tenders + fries for kids, chicken quesadillas and RT9 burger plus two cokes and two chocolate milks. All together for less than 50$ which isn't bad at all considering timing and location. Waiting period about average given how occupied place was, food was really good. I mean, pizza and chicken fingers were just as good as any, my burger was cooked right, all veggies were really fresh and crisp, quesadillas tasted little better than - oh the irony - the ones we eat at our local Spanish food restaurant that is run by native Mexicans. Overall a very solid 4, will step by again next time around for sure. read more

Great location with a comfortable seating area. Everything else is pretty bad. The best thing about At The Hop is its location. It's right at the big intersection of Route 9 and Beach Road. Please be advised that this is in no way an Italian restaurant. Unless serving bad pizza makes it an Italian restaurant. Services is disorganized. You seat yourself and hope for someone to take your order. The wait staff is friendly but poorly trained. The help just seems to randomly walk around with no purpose in mind. Eventually you will get your order, but it may not be right because of communication problems. Even for Lake George Village, the food quality is poor. In general, a step down from fast food at three times the price. I will not be going to At The Hop again. If you absolutely must get something to eat and are in the area with hungry kids, I suppose it is passable. But this place defines the definition of "Tourist trap. " read more

pros: The pizza was pretty good, and the chicken tenders dinner was a generous portion. Family friendly and whatnot. The other servers seemed friendly except for ours. Didn't seem to be overpriced for how touristy the area is. cons: The menus have that feeling of greasy, never-cleaned plastic, as does the table. Our server was very cold and didn't speak English very well. It was a little confusing at first because no one greeted us and we didn't know to seat ourselves. Service was awful, the staff are just rude and miserable, took over 1.5hr for our food and still came out wrong. We had 1 big order and only half of our food came out. An hour later...the other half came out and wasnt even correct! I brought it to the waitress attention and she said not my problem..i wrote it down correctly...its the kitchens fault. And then walked away. Didnt bother to ask if there was anything she could do for the screw up. The place wasnt even busy. Our waitress kept blaming the kitchen for her mistakes and argued to get a manager for us to speak with. It was like pulling teeth to ask her to get napkins or refills. She was extremely rude to us and others who were walking in and sat themselves. This place is terrible. Not just the food, but the staff. My salad was disgusting, soggy lettuce, and the croutons were soft. I didn't eat any of it. The waiter didn't come by at all to check on us. She later threw the check on the table and when I tried to say I didn't want to pay for a meal I didn't eat she argued and said that it was my fault. Do not eat here. Here's why: Upon entering, we had no idea if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We sat after the waitress said we could sit anywhere. We asked for a couple of glasses of water to start. Both glasses clearly were dirty, as evident in the film on top of the water. We brought it to the waitresses' attention and she brought us two new waters-which were equally as dirty. There were flies pecking at our legs the entire time we were there. I'm not sure why this is called a family restaurant when there is no children's menu, no crayons or anything to color with, and, for some reason, no chocolate milk. The only entrée on the menu that could have been considered for a child was the "child's portion" of chicken fingers. The food was OK, nothing special at all. We ordered a cheese quesadilla for our 3 year old daughter. When she started eating it, we noticed there was chicken in it. Our waitress did not check on us at all during our meal so we could not alert her to this mistake. So, we took the chicken she didn't want out, which is what they would have done if we sent it back, and she ate her quesadilla . When our waitress finally came over with the check, we asked if there was any way she could adjust our bill as they had charged us the extra $2 for chicken which we didn't want. They sell everything from burgers to pizza. We had a pepperoni pizza pie and it was good. I from Brooklyn NY so it wasn't amazing but good. I have had worst in Brooklyn. So with that said it was ok. Absolutely repugnant. Everything we ordered was absolutely inedible (burgers, fries, and a salad). The burgers were cooked to the point of hockey pucks, and the salad was served with warm dressing. We also weren't asked any specifics about how we would like our food prepared, yet our check said "no pink" under each burger order. So apparently the option was there, and we just weren't asked due to sheer laziness. The only good thing about this place was the milkshakes. We also ordered a couple of sides of onion rings for the table, which somehow totaled to $14 on their own. A little ridiculous that such pricing wasn't more outwardly advertised given that a side order cost almost as much as an entire meal. Not to mention they were literally swimming in fryer grease, so more inedible food. The server noticed that we didn't eat anything and didn't even try to make right by it. She also awkwardly hounded us and stood 3 feet away from the table as we sat there and calculated who owed what on the check and counted out our money accordingly. She was incredibly inattentive altogether. We literally watched people walk in to be served, and leave because no one ever showed up to seat them.
