Cajun pasta and our wine of choice

Sweetest people and owners ! We live in Paso and never eat in Atascadero but I am pretty sure we will be in A TOWN more now! Pasta and shrimp scampi rule! And they let you bring your own wine! Thank you for a relaxing fun early evening !

My favorite lunch place now serves dinner!! If you want homemade food this is the place. The focaccia bread is warm and light...so good! It is hard to eat just one piece! I ordered the salmon dinner...OMG! It was so good! The pesto was creamy and complemented the perfectly cooked salmon! I am not a rice eater but I did have the rice pilaf which was also wonderful! My husband ordered the seafood pasta special. He said the savory combination of shrimp, muscles, clams and cod along with the chorizo was fantastic! We were so full but they had a German chocolate cake special that we had to try! Again, another fabulous combination of the warm, fresh out of the oven, German chocolate cake with the delicious vanilla bean ice cream. The best part of the meal was the owners! They are a lovely local family! Do yourself a favor and come in for dinner !

The staff was very welcoming and able to meet my request for substitutions in my burrito. My grab and go meal was large, delicious and came with a side of fruit. The to go container was biodegradable, and in a paper bag, which is great for the environment! - The space is located in a small strip mall, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had unique decor and a welcoming waiting area with Books to browse while waiting (quick wait). - The parking is free and easy. There is a bathroom on site that was fully stocked with paper products. My only feedback would be to spruce up the decor in the bathroom and reconsider the pricing of add-ons for the burrito. I felt five dollars for bacon bits was a bit high.

Atascadero Bistro has been one of our favorite local spots for breakfast and lunch, we were soooo excited to hear that they are opening for dinner as well. Tonight we finally got to try out their dinner menu and we were not disappointed. We started out with the house made focaccia which was delicious. All their bread is made in house and it never disappoints. My husband ordered the seafood pasta that was on special. This came with a delightful mushroom soup that reminded us of a French onion soup. The pasta dish was beautiful with perfectly cooked shrimp. I had the Creole chicken pasta which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. This is a family owned and run restaurant. The service is always fantastic. This husband and wife team is such a gem. So talented and kind. All the wood working in the restaurant is done by the chef. We are so happy that they have expanded their offerings to dinner!

    $16.75

I wanted to get scrambled eggs to go but they said they don't do a la carte so I spent $16.75 to get the scrambled eggs with potatoes and fruit. I was disappointed that the fruit was not cut up and the orange slice did not look appealing - ended up throwing the fruit out. Then the potatoes were too salty so I couldn't eat them after a few bites. The eggs were wet and tasted mediocre but at least I got some protein in. I'm on the road and thought a name like bistro would get a simple order down but it did not. For $17 bucks, it was a mistake to come in. I should of left when they said they couldn't whip up a side of eggs.

My food was delicious and the serving was enough for two. The waitstaff was attentive. The decor was rustic with wood accents. Good location right on the corner of the plaza making it easy to find.

Consistently amazing food! Great beverages and pastries as well. Worth a short wait; we love coming here with friends and family.

It's super family friendly, and our son loves the toddler play area. Our nieces also love the arcade games, so it's a great spot for kids and families. The beer is the best we've had in Atascadero, especially the west coast-style pale ales and IPAs like Atasca-where-o, Afraid of the Grade, Mouse Rock, and Hop Clarity. The staff has always been great, the indoor/outdoor space is awesome for groups, and having a full kitchen makes it even better. We even hosted a small lead-in gathering there the night before our son's 1st birthday party, and it was perfect. We're excited to keep coming back and becoming regulars.

This makes total sense knowing that the owners came from San Diego and both worked for PPBC. Being familiar with Wild Fields award-winning brews we settled for the flight and then added some food later. Being a West Coast IPA couple, we were not disappointed with their draft offerings. In addition to IPAs, they have a good representaion of other styles, so there will be something for everyone-as long as they like beer. Wild Fields also puts together a home-brew competion, fuly embracing their community and craft beer roots. The winner gets to brew a batch of their recipe on the house system and this ultra low alcohol, smoked wheat beer was one of the most unique beers I've had. For the food, we had pulled pork and loaded mac-n-cheese. Pulled pork was fine, but I'd prefer more smoke flavor and aroma. For loaded mac, the protein is polish sausage-not something I've seen before. While it somewhat works, I don't think I'd order this again. They also had a ticketed comedy show, which we stayed for after the official closing time on a Saturday. It was fun and totally worth it. With their strong local connections and family atmosphere, Wild Fields in Atascadero is worth the detour from SLO and Paso destinations, especially for families.

I could barely see the pastries in the case. No worries though, I saw what I came in for. Purchased a French baguette for $3.70. Beyond amazed at the price. Excited to have some with my coffee, I ripped off a piece almost immediately and noticed the nice crust on the outside. 5 stars for the crust!! As for the flavor, it seemed a little flat. It was lacking some of the wheaty-tangy flavor you would get from a longer prove/fermentation. The inside of it was also missing all those nice deep pockets you see in a French baguette. Overall, not a bad baguette, but not one that you yearn for. I'd like to mention the young lady Annabel I had the privilege of meeting outside of the bakery. She was on a delivery run, but told me about their IG page, and we had a wonderful chat about cookies. Thank you for your time, Annabel, you are awesome!
