We stopped by Kitchenette to grab breakfast to-go. The interior had farmhouse-style decor with blue accents and they also had a nice shady patio in the front. They weren't super busy on a Saturday morning, and we were able to order at the counter right away. For coffee, they only had vanilla syrup, so I got a Vanilla Latte. The flavor wasn't very strong and none of us were thrilled with our drinks. I also ordered the Acai Bowl, which the guy at the counter said was amazing. It came packaged in a very strange container for a smoothie bowl - not so aesthetically pleasing. The bowl itself was alright, but messy to eat. My friend was also not impressed with her breakfast sandwich, which was very small for its hefty price tag. Overall, Kitchenette had friendly service and a pleasant ambiance, but the breakfast wasn't our favorite.

We stopped in at Kitchenette the other day for a brunch with my niece who lives in Templeton. Templeton is a very picturesque town with a kind of a farm theme and some very nice small cafés and restaurants. Kitchenette is definitely the one to go to to eat breakfast! We got there early and got a great parking space in the small lot, but you can park on the street. We went to the counter and ordered. Since I had studied the menu. I got probably the least breakfastish dish- the Vietnamese salad and my husband got the eggs Benedict, which he had enjoyed before. We sat down and it wasn't long before the food came out. It's such a small restaurant that even if it's packed full, there aren't that many people ahead of you. I had the Ranch Hand salad last time and felt like it was a little too close to a "real" breakfast for me, so this time I chose the Vietnamese salad because of recommendations of other Yelpers! I really enjoyed this salad. There's something very crave bowl about the dressing and the chicken was just right the way that it was grilled. We sat and enjoyed the buzzy breakfast ambience. It never got too crowded and people wandered in and out getting to go meals. We will be back again when we want a nice hit of breakfast in Templeton!

I've been to this restaurant before and had a great experience because the food was so good. I decided to go and get a couple pastries to celebrate my birthday. Even though it was very busy, I was acknowledged quickly, and the team was welcoming. - Unfortunately, I do not recommend the pastries. Both of them were bland and dry. My cinnamon croissant smelled like cheese and cinnamon and cheese do not go together. I assume this is because they were located so closely together in the glass case. - The crumb cake was tasteless. It had been warmed up without my request and by the time I ate it, it was crumbly and dry. If you feel there are other pastries I should try, please reach out to me via messenger and let me know. I like your restaurant and would like to continue to support you.

Friendly welcome, excellent fresh breakfast that's worth the price of most items. We had the Posole Verde - with a breaded and fried soft boiled egg...amazing! Also the Soft Scramble eggs with sourdough toast (both high quality, fresh, cooked perfectly). The chicken sausage was a little sweet. I liked it, my boyfriend did not. Personal preference, though. Yummy housemade hot sauce; also a little sweet and earthy. Great drip coffee (you can ask for a refill). Cute patio and plenty of inside seating. Will return!

Food was good, service was good, ambiance was fine as a nice little country kitchen set up. No complaints as it was a good breakfast, but nothing that is going to make me have to return again. Great job on a solid breakfast.

This place is busy for a reason. We ordered at the counter and the food was brought to our table. The coffee and cappuccino were both very good. The food arrived promptly. It tasted as good as it looked. We were lucky to score a table inside as it was a bit too cold to sit outside. The BLTA was delicious. I had several people walk by our table and tell me that it looked amazing. It could have used a bit more seasoning. I noticed that several other posters have commented on the seasoning aspect of the food. It didn't detract from our experience though. Hubby had the breakfast tacos and said he would def come back for them. I would love to try more dishes from their menu and look forward to retuning.

What a cute place! The outdoor patio was perfect for us four + a pup. The menu options were all very appealing. Everything we ended up getting (eggs, pancakes, burritos) were delicious. Only feedback is for management - Staff them appropriately! Service was slow, but only because there was one server covering a majority of the restaurant on a Saturday morning. She was so amazing though! Definitely coming back.

    Kitchenette! Great ambiance!

Visiting from New York & a friend recommended Kitchenette for some really good eggs, so we came here. There was a small wait for order of food, so we decided to start with the Blueberry Coffee Cake: SO GOOD! I knew I was in for a great breakfast. We both ordered Soft Scrambles on the menu, & she had sunnyside up & mine scrambled, with greens and chicken sausage, and sourdough bread they make in the kitchen: SO GOOD! Even the blueberry jam they make FROM SCRATCH?! SO GOOD! I almost ordered another plate! The best for me was the Vanilla Iced Latte, the taste was good, not heavy on the almond milk & the perfect amount of vanilla! The restaurant was busy (Sunday, morning time), but the staff really held it together like a strong unit & from I what saw, did a great job with balancing urgency & quality! Everyone was so friendly & helpful, I wish I could come back more often! This was definitely a five star experience.

Sweet Potato Hash 5/5 So Good !!

Food 4/5 The food was fresh and flavorful, leaning on the healthier side. The sweet potato hash was an interesting combination but packed with flavor , definitely my favorite thing I tried! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious as well. The chilaquiles weren't traditional and ended up being my least favorite from our order, but everything else was great. Customer Service 5/5 Everyone was friendly, and it was great to see how mindful they are of their staff. Ambience 5/5 The ambience was cute, with charming farmhouse vibes. The indoor space felt a bit crowded, and the line extended outside, but the outdoor seating was more spacious and comfortable. Cleanliness 5/5 They were regularly wiping down tables, and everything looked clean and well-kept. Wait Time 3/5 The wait time was longer than expected, which might have influenced our decision to eat here. The line was extremely long and moved slowly, we waited standing for 30+ minutes. On the plus side, once seated, the food was served quickly. Cost 5/5 The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food, still affordable Drinks 4/5 We ordered lattes, which were fine but nothing exceptional, I was expecting a bit more. On the plus side, the orange juice was freshly squeezed and really refreshing.

Look at the height of that pancake! Blueberry-lemon ricotta pancakes.

Dear Hubby, Sweet Granddaughter, and I were on a vacation recently. We were focused on spending time on the Central Coast, and had met with family in Paso Robles the earlier part of the week. On our way south to spend one more night in SLO before heading home, we ended up in Templeton for breakfast. I'd recalled a previous dining establishment there which was excellent for a morning meal. Time has moved on and that place is either gone, or moved. When I couldn't find it, Kitchenette popped up as an option. Glad that we decided to stop in. This is a local's place, though I imagine they serve tourists passing through the area. A hearty greeting was extended to all upon entering. We made our way to the ordering counter, studying the menu until it was our time to order. The menu is hearty, with different twists on breakfast favorites. Because of my restrictions against having cow's milk dairy, I ended up with a child's order of French toast, eggs, and chicken sausage. SG had the same, but gave her eggs to me and had fresh berries instead. That made her very happy. DH went for the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes. Such fluffy 'cakes I haven't seen anywhere before. They were a work of culinary art! Something special to try if that's your inclination flavor-wise. The food was excellent, and the service was warm and genuine. They could have used more help, especially for busing tables and cleaning up. I'd gone outside to the large patio space to take a phone call. Many of the tables hadn't been touched in a while after diners had left. We might have normally sat outside on a warm morning, but there was a distinctive eau-de-manure aroma on the air from one of the ag--related businesses in town. SG wasn't having it and definitely wanted to sit inside. As this is a scratch kitchen situation, being patient while the food is prepared is a must to have a good experience. I would be happy to visit them again and hope for a day when they weren't quite as busy. As good as the food is, that might not be possible.

    Fried Egg BLT

Such a quaint little restaurant with farmhouse style decor, specializing in breakfast and brunch in Templeton. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There are a few tables inside and bar seating, which are tiny, but we opted to dine inside because it was a hundred degrees outside. Not exaggerating one bit. We were greeted immediately once we walked in. She found out it was our first time and offered answers on any questions we had and didn't mind us taking our time to decide what we wanted to eat. After ordering, the food didn't take long to make its way to our table at all. My kids quickly decided on a pancake, French toast, eggs, and bacon. I opted for the Fried Egg BLT which was so tasty, and it definitely hit the spot. We had some potato Croquettes which were pretty heavy but nice and crisp. I had a latte and the quality of the coffee, I could tell, was really good. It seemed to be the perfect spot for brunch or to get your coffee and a pastry. They have a glass case with a selection of generously sized fresh baked goods. I don't see myself visiting the area again any time soon but if I do, it will be at the top of my list of places to revisit.

The four of us stopped by Kitchenette for Sunday brunch during our weekend to Paso Robles. It was pretty busy, and we ended up waiting about 40 minutes in line, but that gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes (a must-try!), corned beef hash, breakfast tacos with braised pork, and the flavorful mushroom polenta. Surprisingly, even though none of us are vegetarian, we all agreed the pancakes and polenta were the standouts of the meal. You order at the counter, and the staff brings your food to the table. Utensils and water are self-serve. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Paso area.

Kitchenette in Templeton is a cozy breakfast/brunch spot that boasts a relaxing outdoor patio. I ordered the Posole Verde which was super yummy in my opinion. Pork shoulder, linguica sausage, veggies, and a scotch egg make this dish a hearty and filling menu item. The almond French toast is another delicious breakfast item. Strawberries, honey whipped cream this is another super sweet and delicious menu item I highly recommend. The pastries are delicious as well and the coffee is yummy and high quality. The service is super friendly and homey. A perfect place to hang out with family and grab some weekend brunch.

Does the restaurant open on New Years Day?

Can you get bacon and eggs hash browns toast and coffee?

Yes you can! We don’t have hash browns but we hash croquettes or red potatoes!

Do they have any mimosa specials on a Monday? Ok for a group of 5?

I don't believe they have mimosa specials, but they do offer delicious mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice. Decent sizes too! They have several tables that would work well for a larger group, especially where it's nice and peaceful outside:)
