    Breakfast Burrito

Perfect, classic diner feel. Staff was great, we sat at the bar. Food came out quick and no complaints! All was great, would come back.

    Two egg breakfast

Went to Joe's Place a couple years back, so when we were staying in Templeton and saw there was Joe's Other Place, we knew we could get a solid breakfast. We ordered the Chilaquiles supreme and two egg breakfast to share. We had the Chilaquiles last time so we already knew they'd be good. We asked for our hashbrowns extra crispy and were very happy with how they came out. It was very crowded on a weekday morning, seemed like a very popular spot for locals, felt like we were the only out of towners and everyone else was a regular.

    Chilaquiles with tri tip

This place is still good! I actually enjoyed their chilaquiles; they came with plenty of tri-tip, and while the salsa didn't taste particularly Mexican or authentic, it was still flavorful. We were seated right away on a Sunday morning, which was a pleasant surprise. The biscuits and gravy were good, and I really liked the country potatoes. Overall, it was a solid breakfast spot with a nice variety of options. Cost is now about $40 for breakfast for two.

    So much potatoes

We got breakfast burritos to go, and boy are they stingy on the eggs. I got the egg bacon and potato breakfast burrito. Guess what? About 90% of it was ALL POTATOES. I think I literally got 2 whole potatoes and 1 egg in a burrito. It was the worst breakfast burrito. I would not recommend. We decided to not come here the next day and went to our usual place in downtown Paso (Los Robles Cafe) where they don't have 99% potato and 1 egg in a burrito.

    Monterey Omelette without beans

This restaurant is located in the downtown area of Templeton. There's plenty of street parking and a few spots in the back parking lot. We arrived on a Sunday a little after 9 and were greeted right away. Service is fast and efficient. I ordered the Monterey Omelette which was properly cooked. It had a little spice but not enough to take over the entire dish. There's a little something for everyone so if you're hungry, go to Joes!

Scrambler with sausage, mushroom, bell peppers and hashbrowns

Love Joe's! We've been coming here for years and it feels like family. Sandy, Miranda, and Diane are amazing and always take such great care of us no matter how busy they get on a beautiful Saturday morning. The food is incredible- highly recommend the secret menu chilaquiles verde, crispy hashbrowns, and (not pictured) the cinnamon roll. This is a long overdue review of my favorite breakfast spot, can't wait to come back.

Chilaquiles with tri-tip, refried beans and hash browns

The huevos rancheros were very good, as were the chilaquiles with tri-tip beef. Nice wood paneling gives the place an Old World vibe though the decor is All-American. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

My Lorraine omelette, wheat toast, hashbrowns, and coffee.

Update on my previous review as we were in the neighborhood. Food was still good. I had a Lorraine omelette, with bacon, spinach, tomatoes, and cheese. My husband had a ham and cheese omelette. We both got crispy hashbrowns, although the home fries looked really good. I got wheat toast and he got an English muffin. The service was great. We sat at the counter because it was packed. Three huge groups. Don't know our servers name, but she was good. Kept my coffee cup filled, and my husband's water glass filled. We left about 10 and the crowd had started to die down.

But coming here the other night to dine & socialize with friends, I was duly impressed and the food was excellent. Here at Ironhorse, we had drinks, and the gf and I shared a burger & caesar salad (her idea, not mine -- I like the whole enchilada), and partook of a chicken wing app. Whoa. The burger was absolutely delish and one of the best in the greater Paso area. The caesar was HUGE made with little gem lettuce -- we loved it. The wings were perfect, so good. Service was lovely. The server had an attitude when I had to return the salad for having cheese (I am allergic) claiming I did not request to have no cheese (which I did clearly). As to food quality, the appetizers were amazing. We ordered the home made chips and shishito peppers, which were the highlight of our meal. The quality was overall fairly decent. The salad was not properly washed and had lots of sand particles in the leaves, which made it inedible. I therefore leave a mixed review. I have no plans on ever recommending this place, or returning for another meal.

I could barely see the pastries in the case. No worries though, I saw what I came in for. Purchased a French baguette for $3.70. Beyond amazed at the price. Excited to have some with my coffee, I ripped off a piece almost immediately and noticed the nice crust on the outside. 5 stars for the crust!! As for the flavor, it seemed a little flat. It was lacking some of the wheaty-tangy flavor you would get from a longer prove/fermentation. The inside of it was also missing all those nice deep pockets you see in a French baguette. Overall, not a bad baguette, but not one that you yearn for. I'd like to mention the young lady Annabel I had the privilege of meeting outside of the bakery. We ordered the veggie omelet, veggie scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, and the kids pancake with bacon. Each entrée came with a choice of toast or an English muffin. One thing that really stood out was that, without us even asking, the staff split the dishes onto separate plates for everyone at the table. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made sharing so much easier. The veggie scrambled eggs were loaded with fresh vegetables, and the salsa added a great burst of flavor. I personally preferred the hash browns, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The breakfast potatoes were also good, and the rest of my family actually liked those more. The pancake was huge and fluffy, and the French toast was finished with a dusting of powdered sugar. The kids pancake came in the shape of Mickey Mouse, which absolutely made my son's day.
