This August something happened and again I had no electricity to the spa. The tech tried for two hours but couldn't find the problem. He finally said it was my breaker. My electrician said it was not the breaker since there was electricity there - and had been for over a year. Richard got on the phone with me and yelled at me for five straight minutes that I had no idea what I was talking about and that I had to change the breaker or else he would never fix my spa. He also claimed to reimburse me for my electricians bill if it were not the breaker. $700 later and the spa still didn't work - it WAS NOT the breaker. Another tech came out two days later and found another broken pump within 15 minutes. Richard has refused to return my phone calls , my emails, and has refused to pay me back, let alone apologize for the unprofessional patronizing tirade. It has been five weeks. He is dishonest, a bully, and not a man of his word. Unfortunately I cannot work with another Sundance rep until the warranty is up in four years. And I am not too sure I would recommend Sundance either since I've had two broken pumps within about one year.

Second, we found out when the pool was finally completed (after almost a year!) that the pool was never inspected during construction. This caused some issues with the building inspector and I still have concerns as to the quality of the construction. Last, but not least, I discovered that the Polaris vacuum system that we paid for was never installed. I think that this is what bothers me the most - instead of the owner being honest with me and telling me that they forgot to install the necessary plumbing system for the Polaris, he misled me into thinking I should use a different kind of vacuum. I later discovered that the Polaris was not an option because they had never done the necessary work during construction. I would stay far away from this company!

I reached out to the owner hoping to resolve the situation, but instead of listening to my concerns, he told me to refill the entire pool "to see if it drains again." You live in Barrington, not East Providence," implying that I should just be able to afford the cost. It was condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. I also explained, as a business owner in the trades myself, that I understand callbacks can be frustrating, but we just needed help resolving the problem. Instead of working with us, he told me he would charge a service fee--despite the fact that the issue only began after they closed the pool. Class B criminal charge... I gave him the opportunity and patient for 2 years .... took all his equipment on Friday ... left his crew for over 3 hours to finish digging trenches for the water lines, which majority of the time they were on their phones. Never touched base with me, I went outside numerous times to his laborers asking when Jon was returning that I needed finally a game plan to finish long over due completion date ... came back ... fell in his own 5 inch trenches that he left my yard with for 2 years, no caution tape ... never covered ... left back piece of fence open to drain the pool water ... and left .... never spoke to me ... just avoided me and left . Bad business practices, once I texted him to establish situation he took over 3 hours to respond and started nasty texts and language ... so unacceptable. I given him opportunity to do the right thing .... exhausted all options ... now finally going to local police department to file a fraud report and taking my money and not completing the job.
