Terrible fried chicken. No taste, overly breaded and deep fried. Advertised as fried chicken, but they were simply white meat, chicken tenders if you could find them under the breading. The coleslaw had no sauce whatsoever. It was simply shredded cabbage. The French fries were strange. They were crispy on the outside, sort of like an old sogginess on the inside. Easily the worst meal in my life. No wait, I was bicycling through slip rock Wyoming, and I had a hamburger that was so burned by a chef we could see in the back smoking a cigarette, that I got sick. #155 While waiting in the airport for my flight I decided to skip the Delta Sky Club and visit the ATL Bar and Grill as I saw the Ravens game was about to start, there were plenty of TV's and a few empty chairs. I was quickly greeted by Mike, who was replete with that perfect bartender personality. He had a great smile, a friendly demeanor and was quick to give me the vodka list since they did not carry my favorite, Belvedere. We decided on a Grey Goose martini with a twist. The guy next to me ordered the same but "dirty." The bar is clean and modern looking. They offer several ports and jacks for phone, computer, tablet, etc. charging as one waits for their flight in the Delta area. The menu is large; however, I had just stuffed my face with a farewell meal with the parents, so I passed and decided on a strictly liquid experience. Mike was quick to take care of me as well as everyone else at the bar. He was friendly, spoke about the game with me and others and really made the experience fun. I actually did not realize how long I was waiting on my flight due to his great service. When it was time for my flight, I paid Mike, unplugged my iPhone and scurried off to my gate to await my trip home. This little bar is located at the very end of Concourse A and can be really packed. It can also be louder than most bars as everything is made of metal and clangs every time someone does something. But there's some good to make up for that and the very far location, and that's the beer prices. You can get beers for $7 a glass here and they serve some local stuff as well as a long list of premium cocktails. But with the typical airport prices for food and the far away location to anything else, I wouldn't make too much of an effort to come out to this one unless you are already on this side of A. read more

Never again. As always my disclaimer: we got here at 9 pm so it is understandable this place had a late night menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich it was so dried out it was terrible. I knew the minute it was set on the table that the pork was taken out of a pot that was made this morning. Obviously hungry from traveling, I ate it anyway and could only choke down half of it. So I switched to fries. They are frozen thick fries that not even lots of salt and ketchup couldn't remedy. All of that deliciousness was for almost $12! The server never asked how the dinner was, I was actually going to tell him! Do not wait until you are at the end of A terminal, it is the only place to eat! After walking all of A, I was tired and just not willing to walk all the way back to the other food options in this terminal. When coming from FLL there really isn't a comparison. This tiny terminal in AtL outshines my hometown`s by far. So... taking my diet into consideration, the best choice really was ATL Bar and Grill, so I'm glad we made the trek all the way to the end. I can't really say that it is over priced here. It is the airport and $12/ salad is not that far from going to let's say TGIF. I mean you can't pay BK prices at decent place and should question if you can. We chose seats quickly at a high top table. The seating is pretty cramped and I water a bit more space. The waiter came over almost immediately, very nice. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. I must say it was flavor packed and most likely one of the best I've ever had. The chicken had a hint of BBQ and if you know me, I'm BBQ crazed and always on the lookout for some. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the salad was crisp and fresh. A small restaurant at the end of the terminal. The bartender told me that the fish tacos are the best on their menu, so I got it. Great texture, good sauce, but the fish in the tacos is catfish and it was a little undercooked. For me, I find nothing more gross and smelly than undercooked catfish, so I didn't finish all 3 tacos. Airport bars are always hit or miss and this place definitely hits the mark! Stopping in ATL with a 3 hour layover staring you in the face and your phone/laptop batteries dangerously low set me looking for a place to set up camp. Wandering to the end of the terminal to find some open charging stations, I stumbled upon this bar instead. Unlike most places where they'll begrudgingly take your phone and charger behind the bar to give you a boost, ATL Bar offers chargers under each seat at their bar. Amazing for those of us who's perfect cure for a long layover is some food, drinks and Netflix! I also had the best time with the staff here who seemed fun and happy to sit and chat for a bit, genuinely enjoying their jobs instead of being just on the clock. The food was decent, nothing amazing, but above average for airport food, and they had a great drink selection. Was a convenient place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Flat screens and prompt service were a plus. Asked for the jerked turkey to be served hot and they made an exception. This was next to my gate on a morning flight out of Atlanta, so I sat at the bar and had a Bloody Mary for breakfast. I didn't expect it to be that great, but it was pretty good as far as Bloody Marys go. It was definitely pricey, but that's what you're gonna get in the airport. I went here out of convenience and probably wouldn't walk to the end of terminal A specifically for this place, but the bartender was really nice and attentive and the food looked decent. I was able to watch SportsCenter, and this would've been a nice place to catch a game if anything was playing. read more

I have eaten dinner here twice now the first time with low expectations. First the pulled pork and then the cheese burger. Both were pretty darn good for airport fare. As a person that spends a lot of time in airports I would need to eat here a few times more to make this a 4 star. Regarding the other review on breakfast at an airport. No club soda and they Put 5 blueberries in there that added no flavor to the stupid drink. Standard airport bar food with your normal nod to a local sports team to try and attract tourist traffic. Just grabbed a beer, chips and salsa between a couple flights. Nothing exciting on the menu and the beer list is extremely short for a sports bar. They do feature one local seasonal brew on draught. It's at the end of terminal A by gate 34. When other places on the concourse are crowded this could be the best spot to grab a stool at the bar do to its somewhat remote location. Noisy open air environment that is decent for people watching but can get annoying if you are focused on the TVs/sports. If I could have given 2.5 stars, I would have. read more

You can never be too sure when ordering something other than a hamburger at an airport bar and grill, but with few choices and not being in the mood for anything heavy, I took a chance and ordered the grilled salmon with couscous. It arrived in just under 15 minutes. The presentation was very nice, with grilled red and green peppers and a twist of lemon on top of a beautifully grilled salmon. The couscous was that perfect crumble texture. I don't know who is doing the cooking here, but they're doing far better than what this modest looking restaurant would suggest. read more

Nice place if you're down this part of the terminal. I found the atmosphere relaxing, not crowded, and played alt rock. After having a really good pulled pork sandwich the previous day (outside of the airport) I unfairly had my expectations too high. It was ok, but had a dry bun and the BBQ tasted like store bought stuff you throw in the microwave for like 30 seconds. That said I would come back but order something different. read more

Food options limited but considering where it is located, did have interesting menu; breakfast was quick & hot, eggs over easy perfect but bacon was very crispy, not my fav. Had good dark roast coffee. The staff were very nice & friendly; waitress was very prompt & helpful. Really nice looking bar choices but I got here before noon on a Sunday so no alcoholic drinks served. They serve breakfast till 10:30 so plan accordingly.
