If you don't see an opening online, you can always check with them directly, which is what I did. They had an opening for later, same day. Friendly staff who helped with my bag. The check-in process was nice again, and the holiday decor was beautiful. I did get room service, and let me tell you, it was delicious. The buffalo tenders were so good. The room was a good size, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which is always a plus for me. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good night's rest. Housekeeping staff was also charming and so attentive, which was a plus. Overall, great stay, I would go back just for the spa lol

I was super excited because I've never been here but have heard nothing less than stellar things and I must say from the time I pulled up to the valet on a Friday at 4:30 in the afternoon, the staff did everything they could to make us feel like we were the only ones in the building. Luckily when I arrived things were fairly calm so getting all settled with the valet service took less than three minutes and he was kind enough to let me know exactly where to go for further assistance after asking me if I knew where I was headed. Starting off with a smile and kindness is always the way to a great experience. Once I made my way inside, I was immediately taken by the grandness of the lobby area and the front desk reception staff member was hilarious and made me feel like royalty even though I wasn't a true guest. I'm just saying, pleasant interactions can go a loooonnngggg way. She called up to my friend's room, walked me to the elevator, asked if I needed any further assistance and told me exactly how to get there. Once I got off the elevator, I fell in love with the calming lavender smell that moved through the hallway and my goodness, this place was just quiet. The room itself was spacious, the bathroom was modern and clean, and the balcony area was a nice retreat to just hang outside and enjoy a nice evening since it wasn't full on stifling GA heat that night. We called to room service several times and it was as though we called and they would just appear with what we needed in a matter of second. Pure magic. We made our way to Bar Margot for apps and drink and enjoyed the DJ for a bit before we made our way back to the room. The service was good. The food was good and they happily validated our parking so that was wonderful. Such an amazing experience here. Now I understand why folks like staying here because you truly feel like your every need is taken care of!

I especially want to highlight our very first encounter--the valet service. Ralph and Kalen were exceptional! We were in and out quite a bit during our stay due to college move-in, and they were always timely, helpful, courteous, and ready to assist. Their level of service definitely stood out and helped make a busy weekend much easier. The location, atmosphere, and overall vibe of The Shane were exactly what I was looking for. Between the beautiful property and wonderful customer service, I will absolutely be returning to The Shane during my future visits to Atlanta. Thank you for such a great experience!

Staff was very kind, and service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

My mom was here for a conference, so I popped in to visit her. I've seen some of the negative…read morereviews, but that honestly wasn't our experience. I also stayed here a few years ago while going through a breakup and had a pretty solid stay then as well. One of the biggest positives is the location. It's in a great area as far as accessibility to the city, and there are plenty of places within walking distance. I was even able to walk to a pub that was open late and had some of the best mozzarella sticks right around the corner. I saw some reviews mentioning concerns about the area and people hanging around the hotel, but I personally didn't experience any of that during either of my stays. The main front doors were closed for most of my recent visit, possibly for security, so guests used the side entrance. There were always employees there monitoring that entrance, which I appreciated. The rooms are spacious, and I really like how some of the floors have little study and lounge areas that give the hotel a nice aesthetic. My only real complaint was a leak my mom had reported that was never addressed. It caused a dripping sound throughout the night, but thankfully we were able to close the door and tune it out. I would definitely stay here again. I'm not sure whether they normally offer free breakfast since breakfast was included with the conference, but if they don't, that would be a nice addition. I love the mirrors in the rooms but also the light near the front of our room was on a consistent dim setting like the bulb was about to blow

I'm a Hilton loyalist...or at least I was. You can go through these reviews and you can see how…read moreI've felt in the past. I'd avoid this property if you can. There are a ton of other Hilton properties in Atlanta, so I would look at those. Not this location. The big issue I have is that they charged me $50 a night for an "Upgrade." When I called the hotel, they claimed that I asked for it. In the 23 years since I joined Hilton's loyalty program, I have NEVER asked for an upgrade. In fact, I'm a Diamond member and the member benefits say they should offer me a free upgrade if they have something available. What I believe really happened here is that I completed this stay on points and they weren't going to make as much revenue from me and an overzealous employee must have slapped it on before releasing the key to me. When I called the front desk (I had already left the property and they had failed to check me out even after going to the front desk as I left) to get my invoice, I found the extra charges. After I told the person representing themselves as a manager, they were apathetic to it and refused to reverse the charge. So I had to call corporate. While they had the hotel reverse this charge, their response has me rethinking my loyalty all together. It seems it's one sided now. But this isn't the only issue I had with this hotel. I like using Hilton's digital key. It's easy and convenient when it works. I checked in on a Friday and was able to use the digital key all weekend. On Monday, it appeared that they locked down the elevators and required keys to reach floors. Their elevators are not programmed to use digital keys. The manager at the front desk that night was less than helpful. But, I later found out that only a couple of the elevators are locked down. Others are not and it's very inconsistent. The bright spot was the staff at the Marketplace. The ladies working the registers were amazing every time I went there. The guy heating stuff could use some training though. I ordered a toasted bagel and he toasted it so hard I couldn't eat it. My teeth literally would not bite through it. The housekeeping staff was pretty good too. They at least serviced the room every day. Anyway...I find what they did, billing-wise, unethical and shady. Because of that, I cannot recommend them and am instead recommending AGAINST staying there.

Bathroom was clean, modern, and it came with vanity sets (cotton pads and swabs) and a shower cap. There are not many amenities, no pool or spa. They did have a coffee shop, restaurant, and bar. Staff were absolutely professional and very helpful. They were very knowledgeable and kind. They gave my baby a baby lion plush at check in. I loved how they had water and water bottles at the front, so no need to request. There is also a mini fridge in the room that we used to put my baby's milk and things that needed to be refrigerated, inside the fridge there was already mini bar stuff. I let the staff know we used it and did not take anything out of the mini bar which they understood and didn't charge us extra. Room service was quick. Just around 45 min with auto gratuity and $7 delivery fee. Presentation was nice as well. We ordered buffalo wings, fries, with extra ranch, steak quesadillas, and a fruit cobbler with ice cream. All for around $95 delivered. The food was delicious, we ate everything and was pleased. Checkout was great. Quick and easy. They charged the room service to my Amex card which we had $100 credit that was supposed to be applied. I called and they resolved it right away with no hassle. I would definitely stay again since it is steps away from our shop.

This was a miserable experience. Truly miserable customer service…read more It took me over 1 hour to check in and had to argue with multiple managers to get my rom key- even though I had fully prepaid for the room. They finally allowed me to check in but only after I bought a gift card to the Marriot as my "refundable" deposit. (I didn't have $500 in cash on me.) Upon check out, they refused to refund me my deposit because they accused me of consuming items from the mini-bar in the room. (I never took anything from the min-bar...$9 M&Ms, no thank you.) I spoke with the manager who was unable to help. Finally had to call my credit card company to contest the charge. Thankfully, Visa was able to help. The whole experience was a disaster. I will never stay at the Ritz again.

The hotel itself- I would come back again and again! Yes 5 star The meeting room- 3 star We had to have each presenter sit at the front of the room with their laptop plugged into the HDMI instead of being able to mirror or launch up onto the screen. This wasn't the best experience. And to boot, the hotel tech guy came down and was zero help. Boo! The restaurant- 4 star I personally had the deviled eggs (obviously) they were good, not amazing because they were extremely salty. Yes, they had caviar atop but the salty flavor was in your face BIG! I also had the pork chops, they were a bit dry but the coleslaw on top helped ease the dryness with additional flavor. The rest of the team seemed to have liked their beet salad, fish, short ribs (I heard they were very rich) and chicken. The free coffee in the room is awesome with the kettle although, I got the free coffee in the mini store in the lobby! All the goodies were there, SF syrup, real sugar, fake sugar, creamer, oatmeal creamer. Loved this option and returned fir refills throughout out work day & it was always hot & ready! Another 5 star experience here. Let's get to the overall staff - Callie and Taral - High Five ladies!! The 2 valet guys at the front- awesome work gentlemen!!! So in all- I think a solid 4
