West Central Ave in St. Pete is quickly becoming our new favorite hangout! We just found bright fun…read moreNeon Lunchbox! While every item in the menu starts with some good old-time classic, they dont resist creative delicious updates to the recipes. We fell into their muffaletta, and if you've had one at Central Market in New Orleans, you'll recognize the lovely fresh traditional round sesame-encrusted bun stuffed with stacked italian-style coldcuts and cheese. I'm going to say flavorful salami, rich mortadella, sweet tender ham, and creamy provolone. The key, as with that N'awlins original, is bright flavorful house-made chopped green-olive tapenade, a heavenly mixture with garlic and soft sweet peppers, wet with a copious amount of the freshest olive oil. A muffuletta is so much more than the ingredients-list. And this is wonderful handful and mouthful and stomach-full. It was lunch, on the way to a busy day, so we exercised rare self-control to share a hand-crafted Mr. Big: a Dr.Pepper-like cocktail, nicely sweet next to that sandwich. Of course, they have a slew of creative specialty cocktails. It's our only criticism, that the drinks they list are almost all sweet flavors. The one we had was a perfect complement to our savory sandwich, but much of the time we prefer a bitters-forward whisky or bourbon. I have no doubt they will make any we request, but i'd love to see their own recipe inventions! We want to try more of their food creations: a chopped-cold-cut italian sandwich, a fried bologna with two kinds of smoky cheeses, bacon-topped thin-dough pierogis, a spicy mac-and-cheese, ... We'll be back!

I only got water to drink but they do have good drink specials and happy hour. Restaurant is clean and bright with lots of unique decor. To eat I got the chicken Caesar wrap. It was very tasty! Lettuce was fresh and crisp, there was a good amount of chicken which was also of good quality. And the size of the wrap is huge, definitely enough for 2 meals or to split with someone. Even the chips on the side were good. Overall very happy with my lunch!

We arrived at 5:30 and it was packed, but a table opened for us within two minutes. The ambiance was awesome, with each table having its own miniTV! Guests didn't have to choose between watching Wimbledon or the World Cup (or anything else they chose). Such a clever idea and probably great for entertaining kids, too. The server was prompt and friendly, and we got our drinks and app ordered immediately. We split the corn dog as an appetizer (felt right for 4th of July), and my husband declared it was one of the best he ever had. A great ratio of the sweet fried dough and salty hot dog. Definitely a reasonable portion to split as an appetizer and still have room for an entree. We got the tomato and corn salad as a side, which was a nice palate cleanser. I got the bacon cheeseburger (sub a pretzel bun, which you can absolutely do) and my husband got the Van Helsing. Both were excellent. He got regular fries and I got sweet potato fries and a side salad, also fantastic. My meal was exactly what I wanted - a classically delicious cheeseburger (I removed the bacon and put it on my side salad, which I highly recommend). My husband's had perfectly cooked garlic cloves and a nice zest with the jalapeños. They also had a great tap list to go wash everything down! We left stuffed but not feeling like we were going to die. It was a wonderful experience for start to finish and we'll be back!

I got the crispy duck wings (and do not know why I didn't take a picture ) but they were very crispy and very good. They came with 2 sauces, which I did not try because they said they were a bit spicy and I don't like spicy, but they were plenty good on their own. I ordered the One Bad Pig with a side of sweet potato fries and of course had to get an extra side of tator tots because I love them. The burger was very good and juice, hard to eat because it's so big, but I managed to do it. The tots were crispy just like I like them and the fries were your typical sweet potato fries but very good. The service was attentive and good and it seemed to be a local crowd and was a nice vibe. It is off the beaten path so not too touristy but the locals know about it so it gets crowded. I highly recommend this place for a burger if you are wanting one!!

Thank you. We started with their Masa pancakes which gave a thick yet light taste to it. That lemon and blueberry combo was the bomb. The wife has the Tuna Tosadas which were fresh and flavorful! It was so good. I had the Chorizo Verde Tacos which was soooo good that I ate all 3. I ordered a side of home fries but I didn't even need them. Their coffee was amazing too and I forgot where it was from but again ... bomb. We'll def be back in the future and next time get some cocktails!

My sister ordered a pistachio drink and I got the pornstar martini and they both were delicious. Our server Sam was great. To eat we ordered the street corn croquetas, the tuna tostadas, the green chickpea samosas and then the Chipotle Roasted Snapper entree. Our favorites were the street corn croquetas and the Chipotle Roasted Snapper. They both had a perfect mix of flavors. The tuna tostadas were good but we didn't like the Smokey flavor with it. The green chickpea samosas were okay, not great in our opinion. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would come back if I was in the area again.

Ooh-La-La! SOLID 5 STARS!…read more $5 house wine 4-6pm. Great eclectic Menu. Fancy service and a chef who knows his ingredients. You can't miss at LaLa. Started with Cabernet Sauvignon ($5). Then Charred Octopus Appetizer ($19). Then a superb Truffle Aioli Burger with Caesar Salad ($19). Finished with Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($9). Wing Man Gary (UASF Pilot, Retired) had the Grouper Sandwich ($16). I asked for my burger to be "So rare a good vet could save it." And that's exactly what I got. There was a large toothpick speared through the burger to prevent it from escaping. The flavors and textures were a real treat. Superb! Great meal for $90 including tip. Highly recommended. The food was solid overall, and the duck linguine was absolutely delicious--it's a unique pasta dish that really stood out from the usual options. I was also pleasantly surprised by how strong the kids' menu was, which made dining with a little guy much easier. The only downsides were that the drinks felt a bit pricey for what they were, and while the filet wasn't bad, it was the most disappointing dish of the meal and didn't quite live up to expectations.
