The Chef Special Combo I chose was 1/2 lb shrimp + mussels + sausage, all drenched in their signature hot sauce (the menu warns that their sauces are hotter than other establishments so I did not go with very hot like I usually would and I'm glad that I did). The combo also included miniature potatoes and 2 pieces of corn on the cob. I could not finish it. My friend ordered the scallops dinner in a mild sauce and he was very pleased. We also split an appetizer of calamari which was delicately breaded and fried just right (not rubbery). Their signature drinks were a Little pricey but they were tasty and had a kick to them. Our server was on the ball and did a fine job of taking care of us without interfering with our conversation or enjoyment of the meal. Their Fried Wahoo is also well-prepared. We got fried, and it was tender and fresh. Both fish came with a heaping serving of hot crispy fries. You could also get either fish blackened, and you could add various veggies as sides. We ordered our food and also picked it up ourselves at the bar. Hookin' can get crowded, especially when they have a live musician, and parking can get pretty tight. It's just off I-275 at 22nd St, in St. Pete Fl east of Gulfport. They keep their social media pretty up-to-date, but we didn't track down a "regular" webpage.
