Such friendly folks, absolutely nothing fancy, but patrons dressed in all types of dress; shorts, jeans, leather, short skirts with heals, dress pants, tie-die. Pretty fun. All ages too (no kids). We came to see Spirit of Dio, $10 pp at the door. PARKING... OMG GOOD LUCK. DO NOT GO DOWN THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING- NO PARKING & you will have to back out to turn around!!!! SMALL lot shared with others in the strip. I happened to get a spot right in front. Guy at the door said when other establishments close overflow parking can be there- don't get yourself towed! Maybe find a safe place & walk over?? You would THINK by looking at the outside food would be discussing- NOPE! ALL food we saw going by & the HUGE portion of chicken fingers & fries were piping hot & FRESH! Crispy & those fries!!! Beer is a great price!! See pics & video. The band sounded really great- they have a little sound booth that did a great job! The band (Spirit of Dio) always kills it!!! Server was Tiffany - she was THE BEST!!! Stay safe & drink responsibly!!

I finally made my way to 45South after many years of being in this area. I brought an acquaintance…read morehere because I've seen this spot listed in several local publications and voted to be a great spot to try. After a nice park walk we came in on a Saturday. The inside is on the smaller side but in a cozy sense. Immediately upon entering we were greeted and welcomed. The staff were very friendly and inviting. They recommended items and explained them to us. Parking was easy at the time we went but can get tricky as the day goes on. We were there in the early am so it wasn't packed thankfully. When they delivered the food I was a tad shocked by the presentation. My potatoes, eggs and bacon came delivered on a metal pizza pan with parchment paper. Now it threw me off because I've never seen that and I expected it on a plate. The potatoes had been soaking in grease that didn't appear clean as the potatoes were tiny cut and dark. They also simply tasted of grease. The eggs were scrambled with not much to be desired and the bacon was good. The meal left me underwhelmed and needing to go get an actual meal after we left. Also the utensils were plastic. The experience gave more of food truck vibes than cute little cafe. I had a smoothie which I enjoyed. Although I don't after that I would come back if I did it would only be for a beverage. I was confused because I remember seeing the menu and it mentioned scrum-did-dly-ump-tious so I thought it would be a more southern well seasoned country style and it was more bland fast food style.

The inside offers a comfy cozy feel with lots of seating for people to work from. This coffee shop also offers outdoor seating - which is dog friendly. The baristas are great, and the ones that know me well have my go-to drinks memorized. 45 South offers homemade quiche and danishes on the weekdays, and has a broader menu (potato bowls, burritos, etc.) Friday-Sunday. On my most recent visit, my husband and I ordered our usual food and drink choices. Iced Butterbeer for him and an Iced Matcha for me. This is by far my FAVORITE place to get an Iced Matcha. The consistency is so creamy and yummy. For food, he ordered the AM Burrito which comes with chicken sausage, and I ordered a Potato Bowl (topped with an egg). On weekdays our go-to is always the Chicken Sausage Quiche. If you're ever in the area, stop by and try it!

Appetizers were very good. She didn't care for the shrimp (a bit spicy, so we took it home for tomorrow's lunch. While the sandwich was good, it didn't seem like an authentic Cuban. Pulled pork filling. I took half of it and the mac&cheese home. Beer was very good; I hadn't heard of it before. It's from Milwaukee. Went to Laylo after for dessert/ $90 with tax and tip. It's a Resy restaurant, so I paid with Amex plat to get the credit. Excellent server.

After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2. The Ambience The vibe here is great. The interior feels like a charming, cozy little house you'd find in Savannah. I especially love the bar area, which has these really cool copper chandelier lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. ### 3. The Service The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every single time I've been here. The Summary I honestly feel lucky to live close to this place. It doesn't get much love or mentions from the Atlanta social media crowd and local press (the good news is you won't encounter a lot of annoying people lol).. I'm a fan though.

The pounded yam was smooth and not too thick. I had fun scooping up the Egusi in the Fufu with my hands. Both together was an enjoyable flavor and texture combo. The Beef Suya was good as well, a nice meat appetizer. The beef was cooked well done which some people may not like, but I enjoyed it since I grew up eating my steak that way. It paired very well with the spice blend and raw onions. I also had the Ghanaian Jollof Rice and that was not my most favorite dish due to the flavor. Not my cup of tea, but the rice was cooked well. I also liked the side plantains. The interior is nicely ornate and comfy. The service here was also super great and my assigned server was very personable. I genuinely enjoyed my conversation with her and she did well giving me recommendations and directions as a first timer for this type of food. Overall, I had a great experience here and would come back again!

The space opens up to a large shared area with couches everywhere surrounding and pointing to a big screen, perfect for a more public experience, but they also have rooms. We were in one of them for my friend's birthday celebration, and the hostess pointed me to the room no problem. The rooms themselves are spacious with a screen where you can pull up YouTube karaoke. Two mics and a Bluetooth keyboard that was pretty easy to handle. Loved that there were no technical issues, so the equipment proved reliable. But even if we had run into something, service was so attentive that I know it would have been fixed promptly. Speaking of service, I can't remember a time I received my food and drink orders so quickly. That was super impressive and made the experience all the better. They have a fun drink menu and decent pricing, so I definitely recommend. One thing I will say is that the payment terminal doesn't make it clear that 18% gratuity is already included and the itemized receipt doesn't automatically pop up, so it's very easy to mistakenly tip 20% on top of that. It would be nice if the server was more upfront about that in general, but she was also great, so it's not the end of the world. All in all, I truly enjoyed my time there.
