We went for our anniversary. Business casual and $$$$ for the menu plus reservation. Business casual was shorts, ripped jeans and flip flops. We were way over dressed. I asked why people were not in business casual? Was told that they were just trying to get people in the doors. I told them they should remove it from their website then. Be aware that you do not need to wear business class clothes. Now onto the service. It was excellent! Interior was pleasant. Wine was very good. I had the sweet and spicy calamari and husband had the mussels, excellent tasting! Then came the entrees. Rainbow trout with spinach and whipped potatoes...VERY BLAND! Absolutely no flavor even with the lemon sauce and capers. Spinach no flavor, potatoes a little bit of flavor. I ate it because it cost $39. My husband had a lobster roll and fries. I laughed because I thought they brought him a childs plate. It took him three bites and he was done. He said the only thing he could taste was the celery. It was so small and cost $36. Then came dessert time...it was very good. I would give them 5 stars for the service, appetize, wine and dessert. I would give the 0 stars for the entree. I guess I could of complained but really what could they do to fix it when the have specs they followed from the company for cooking. Me and my wife have been here a couple times and always sit across from the bar the last time we was there the food and ambiance excellent everything about this place is just extraordinary but this server we had, short Italian looking guy (i forgot his name) had a straight face the whole time he served us he got our order wrong oysters had to be steamed were raw my wife almost threw up ok boom thats done. We order out Entrée as he put down the plate it cracked in half the whole time he was busy flirting with some chicks on the other table hardly came out way well cool np he took the plate went in and was back in 2mins like there was no chances of chipped pieces of the plate going in the food cause it was the same food on the other plate ok cool we packed it up dumped it on the way home. When the bill came in there was no discount i dont expect you to take the whole thing off but come one after all that even a 10% discount would keep me satisfied. Thats just sad i like the food here next time ill just sit at the other side with better servers. read more

I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the service was a little off during this visit. Despite that, the food and ambiance were still top-tier. I ordered the blackened grouper with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli, and my meal was a 10/10. My sister had the blackened halibut and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. For an appetizer, I tried the fried lobster, which our server recommended. It was just okay in my opinion, not bad, but not something I'd order again. The place is pricey and didn't seem nearly as busy as Bistro Niko. The only reason I'm here is because of the $30 Summer Dine Around coupon. The bread service was good. It was better than Bistro Niko. I'm comparing it to Bistro Niko because was that was the restaurant for last month's dining passport coupon card. The card worked. It got me out of the house and into this area. Ceviche: Tasty for the first few bites but a little too sweet for me at the end. I wanted the bowl to be bigger because I kept dropping the goodies. The scallops were soft, but the shrimp almost felt too overcooked in acid. I was hoping for some fish bits too. You are able to have your fish fried, broiled, or "Hong Kong" style (steamed with soy sauce, ginger, and scallions) and each fish entree comes with a side of potatoes or vegetables. I had salmon and sea bass Hong Kong style. The Chiliean Sea Bass was amazing. The salmon was good but not special. It came with a side of rice, and I tossed most of it into the sauce. It was filling. The wife got crusted swordfish with grits and green beans. The swordfish is meaty. I think this may be our first time trying swordfish and I can say it's ok. I think I always avoided swordfish since it's high in mercury levels. She loved the grits but gave me most of the green beans. Would I come here again? Probably. We popped into Atlanta Fish Market due to some good reviews we'd seen and also the giant eye-catching giant fish outside! We were there a little outside of normal lunch or dinner time (right about 11:30am), so they weren't very busy at all, but our server let us know that if we had visited on a Sunday at that time, we would see the place hopping. The interior of Atlanta Fish Market is pretty neat, with a very nautical vibe. White shiplap boards, open airy skylights, and palm trees with twinkle lights wrapped around! We were seated by a corner window area that had greenery outside, so it really felt like we were out in nature by a lake or something, and not just by the busy street outside. The tables were thick wood, and they had blue booth seating that matched with the color palette completely. Based on the upscale decor and design, I would consider this a nice place to dine for a business lunch or nice date night. Our server was top notch as well, with a very attentive attitude, especially highlighted since we were one of only a few tables in the restaurant at that time. The food was also pretty great, with seafood being the top choice for us. We shared the watermelon salad to start, and even though the combo sounded a little weird at first, the watermelon played off the greens amazingly and gave it a nice fruity flavor. For my entree, I chose the fish and chips with hush puppies, and the fish was fabulous and very fresh. My husband is a salmon lover, so he got the pecan crusted salmon, which came with whipped sweet potato mash and broccoli. The crust on the salmon was great and had a little sweetness due to the honey butter on top of the salmon filet. We headed to Atlanta Fish Market on a beautiful Atlanta Saturday afternoon for our mother:daughter dinner. What a great choice. As a seafood lover, I can never stay away for too long! I decided to try some new options this time. My sister and I shared an order of the oysters Rockefeller which were great! Next, I had the lobster tail roll and for my entree I went with the Skillet NewBurg Au Gratin. All were a treat. I also tried my mom's shrimp Alfredo and it was amazing. I received one of the summer dining cards in the mail for the Atlanta Fish Market so I decided to check them out one Sunday after church. For an appetizer I ordered the regular calamari. The aioli that comes with it was so good. I could have eaten more. For my entree I had the scallops and I honestly wasn't impressed they weren't as melt in your mouth good as I've had before. The mashed potatoes were the star of the entree. They definitely tasted homemade. I wanted to switch out my mixed vegetables but I decided not to when I was told there is an up charge. read more

My service by Solomon was amazing! He was very attentive, gave me recommendations and was helpful throughout my visit. They gave me bread service for the table, and I had the Caesar salad, oysters (6), and a crab cake. For the Caesar, the dressing is made in house. The dressing itself was really good-- the Caesar salad as a whole was pretty average. The oysters were delicious. A few had shells which is natural with fresh shucking, and nothing I can't handle. I had two briny and two sweet-- both amazing! The star of the show for me was the crab cake. This was absolutely fire. Highly recommend that. I came for lunch so there weren't many patrons. Great food. I grew up on the west coast so I tend to be picky about fish and this place is great. They have non valet parking if you want to just head inside to shop from the fish counter. Their halibut is amazing. We got 4 filets and it did set us back about $90 but they were super high quality. We've dined in twice and both times were pretty happy with our food. Visited for the first time for a corporate luncheon and the sushi was so good I literally returned a few days later to pick up take out sushi. The service levels are stellar here and the food is fresh and delicious. If you are a seafood lover this is your place. They have a nice large bar and a nice outdoor seating as well. I came for happy hour around 5ish. I believe it ends at 6:30. I ordered the lobster roll for $24, a rainbow roll that was $8 for four pieces, and a glass of sauvignon blanc for $8. Let's start with the good. The wine pour was heavy and I definitely appreciated that. For eight dollars that was solid. The rainbow roll for eight dollars was also fair for happy hour pricing. Now the lobster roll. It just was not worth $24 to me. The lobster meat was tough and not juicy. It wasn't seasoned properly at all. I actually had to add salt, which I hate doing because then it just sits on top instead of being cooked into the food. It was buttery, yes, but it mostly tasted like lobster and butter with no real flavor. The bread also fell apart which was annoying. I really wish they would have grilled or toasted it more so it could hold together better. Service was a little disappointing. When I first sat down my server was a girl named Joe. After a while it felt like there was a shift change because suddenly there were several staff members around and no one was really checking on me. I was sitting at the bar so I do not think there was a reason to overlook me. I noticed bartenders having conversations with other guests, but no one really bothered to see if I needed anything else. It felt like once I had my food, I was forgotten. Stopped by Atlanta Fish Market for lunch with my mom after being out in the Phipps area, and it did not disappoint. We hadn't been in years, but it's still every bit the Atlanta staple if you know, you know. We came toward the tail end of lunch and the service was still phenomenal. My mom got the platter, I had the fried shrimp with spinach and a cup of clam chowder (I'm a clam chowder girl, and this one was solid lots of clams). We also shared a fried lobster tail "for dessert," which ended up being my mom's favorite. Everything tasted fresh like it actually came from the Atlantic, not sitting around. Had an awesome meal here. Came for lunch, so it was very quiet. Seafood spread in the market area looked amazing. Per our server's recommendation, I got the Chilean Sea Bass, Hong Kong style, and my friend got the Grouper, blackened style, which looked amazing and cooked perfectly. The Hong Kong style was pure white, so I'm not certain how it was prepared, but it was delicious. The Blackened looked better than mine and I will get that next time! It's been quite a few years since I last reviewed The Atlanta Fish Market so I would describe it as a Review versus an Update. We arrived to our reservations and friends were already seated. We opted for the bar area seating because we knew in advance that we would be a bit louder and would linger longer. Arrived a little before 12:00 PM and were promptly seated. No one else in the lounge but it quickly filled to about 75% which is a good sign for a Monday. Our server greeted us and we all knew that he was going to be be great and he was. He had such patience with all of us. He described each meal and allowed for us to change things around. Our order consisted of a Fried grouper sandwich with fries, a Wedge Salad with a side of Fried Shrimp, a Sautéed Grouper Sandwich also with fries, and a Hong Kong Style order of Scallops. The grouper sandwiches were both huge and perfectly cooked. They are really plated well. I only can vouch for my meal and it was perfect. The fish was sautéed with a simple butter sauce, tartar sauce on the side served on a brioche bun. My piece of grouper was so big it fell out of the bun, no problem it was so good it could be eaten plain. The thin fries arrived piping hot and were tasty. Although I can't vouch for the taste of all of the food I can say that everyone loved the food and all four plates were wiped clean. The Atlanta Fish Market serves(and sells) probably the freshest seafood in Atlanta. It arrives daily and the guys in the back cut it down into entree portions. One can also go into the back Fish Market and pick up fresh seafood to take home and cook. They also have fresh cooked steamed shrimp daily, all types of fish that are available for the day, to go with salads and all the sides to take home. Highly recommend a trip to the Retail Market in the back of the Bar area. It's a treat. Forgot to take pictures until we went in the back to pick up some crab meat. Sorry. Maybe next time. 3 stars for the food being delicious. Our server was switched without us knowing. The bartender could not make a mojito it was horrendous. The moscato was delicious but not on the menu, you have to ask. It came in a dirty glass with food particles in it, so I had to get a new glass. Yuck. The place has gone downhill. The fixtures are broken (see photos). The Floor and table was dirty. It took an hour to get our food with a half empty dining room. We had the calamari and octopus for appetizers. For entrees my husband had the special of seafood scampi stuffed lobster with a ribeye. I had the special of Chilean sea bass and scallops with a ribeye. It broke my heart to have this experience at one of my favorite places. For $300+ the experience should not have been this way. read more

I brought my elderly neighbor here for a celebratory dinner and we both enjoyed everything about our experience. Food was super delicious! I got the salmon trout,she got the trout amadine and my partner had the fish and chips. My husband picked Atlanta Fish Market for his birthday dinner on 1/31. This was my first time there but my husband had taken his mother last November for her birthday (I had to work that night). I booked the reservation for us along with his mother, which was easy to do online. Upon arriving, we valet parked. The restaurant is very easy to spot, with its impressive giant fish statue in front of the building. Inside feels casual and cozy while still being "nice." They have a fish tank and colorful decor. We were seated in a booth and soon met by our server. Regretfully, I forgot his name as I wrote this review, but he was very helpful and polite, offering suggestions and working with us as we decided what we wanted. We each had a glass of wine and shared appetizers: octopus, crab cake, and calamari. All three were great. The octopus was so tender and soft and delicious! The crab cake was rich and flavorful! The calamari was classic and had yummy sauces with it! The complimentary bread brought to the table was gone in a flash so we asked for more (yum)! For my entrée, I was looking at the Hong Kong "Combo" Chilean Sea Bass & Faroe Islands Salmon, but since my husband was getting that, I decided to go with another option per our server's recommendation! I got the sautéed grouper Parisienne and it was so delicious! I loved all the textures of the veggies and the flavor of the fish and sauce. My husband's dish was also very tasty! It's nice that you get two different fish with it! My husband's mother got the lobster along with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. I tried a bit of hers too and everything was great. I had a made a reservation for a Sunday evening but to be honest I don't know how necessary it was as they were not terribly busy but either way always better to be safe than sorry! You do have to valet you car here but its only $3 plus tip which is fine and they are quick and nice! Once inside, it has a great vibe inside and super quaint. We got some drinks to start and I went for the peach mule they had which was delicious! And of course the bread service is also great which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also opted to get some spinach and artichoke dip was yummy as well and came with plenty of chips! For my main entree, I did try to get the lobster roll but they were unfortunately out of lobster already which was a little disappointing and the main reason why I docked it a star (how do you run out?? It was only like 7PM and they weren't that busy!) But either way I went with the the lobster BLT which was MASSIVE! You can't complain about the portions here as they are hefty for sure. I also tried the mussels that someone at my table ordered and those were delicious especially with the bread to dip in the sauce! Atlanta Fish Market is an institution that is part of the Buckhead Life Group. I have heard it described as "touristy"...but even if that's the case (I don't think so), my experience was excellent. The service was quite fantastic...everything from the hostesses up front to the waitress for our table. Super friendly and helpful/accommodative with questions and any potential dietary constraints. They were also flexible when we wanted to switch tables and were appropriately attentive throughout the evening. I was a big fan of their proprietary AFM chopped salad...several unique ingredients, all of which aggregated to a satisfying "healthy" dish. We also got the sauteed red snapper, coupled with a vegetable medley & broccoli. Really enjoyed all of it...particularly the sides. The desserts are legit as well. This is usually my go to spot for seafood, however on this visit the Fish Market missed the mark and I was celebrating a friends birthday. Several things went wrong on the evening. We had a reservation for 6:30pm, and requested a window table with a view because I wanted to impress my guest on her first visit to the FM. We were guided to a very small two person table by the railing, which was not acceptable. We were then directed back to the hostess station and was seated in the main dinning room. Not a window seat which we did notice it was a table available by the window. So I was disappointed, but I let it go and we were seated. Then the birthday girl, ordered a Mojito, only to be told that they were completely out of mint. Disappointed again, but the server did suggest another drink. If you are familiar with FM, you know they will serve a basket of bread once seated. Well the server brought ours, and I honestly had to take a second look. I asked what it was, and we were told they were out of bread. Go figure. What they served were two slices of what appeared to be sandwich bread. Honestly, they would have been better off not bringing a breadbasket at all. It was embarrassing and certainly not what I expected from the FM. Disappointed again. Then while we were sitting and talking, I noticed a row of dead flowers behind her seat. They were real flowers with dead leaves throughout them. I finally asked the manager what's going on because this was not the level of service or presentation I expected. He indicated that someone was scheduled to come in a few days to replace the flowers. My thought, if you cared about the look you would have had someone on staff to just clip all of the dead leaves. And finally, our table was right by the beautiful fish aquarium. Unfortunately, the edge of the glass was covered with blue painters tape all around it. Very ugly. I ordered the grouper and very much enjoyed it but had to bring half of it home. It was an enormous portion!!! My companions enjoyed soups, salads, fish tacos and even fish and chips. I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to Atlanta Fish Market this past Saturday. My husband and I stopped in for a late, leisurely lunch at the bar -- it was an early anniversary celebration, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all, maybe three guests total. We were looking forward to enjoying some martinis and great seafood, as we've always held Atlanta Fish Market to a higher standard. Our bartender was friendly, but unfortunately, she seemed unsure about several things -- including whether the restaurant had stone crab claws, what oysters were being served, and details about the sushi options. When we asked about the stone crabs, she initially told us they weren't in season. However, when I mentioned that the restaurant's Instagram page had just posted about them, she double-checked and confirmed they did have them -- at $40 per claw. Even she commented that "a lot of people from Florida say they should just go to Joe's," which didn't exactly build confidence. To be clear, she wasn't rude or unfriendly, but the whole experience just felt off -- unpolished, uninformed, and honestly a little weird. Before we left, she mentioned that happy hour prices were cheaper, implying that maybe we were leaving because of the cost, which wasn't the case at all. We left because the entire interaction had us questioning the level of service and knowledge we expected from this restaurant. Our party of four enjoyed our Tuesday evening dinner. We arrived before 6 pm, early enough for weekday happy hour. The calamari and pow pow shrimp tacos were delicious appetizers. My husband and I shared the kale salad, and my son and his friend shared the wedge salad. I would recommend them both. My husband and I had the lobster rolls-he had the hit and I ordered mine cold. It was the Best lobster I ever ate! I will be coming here from now on for happy hour lobster rolls! We ran out of room for dessert, but if I did, I would get the key lime pie. Come hungry! For the amount of hype I hear about the Atlanta Fish Market, the whole group was quite disappointed. The food was extremely expensive, but the taste was average, some dishes even being below average. The service was great, but the food was hit or miss. I do think it was all high quality, but some of it was lacking flavor. The crab cakes are exceptional!! The restaurant is very pretty with the fish display case and sushi lounge. Ambiance is a little lacking in the main dining room because of how large it is. read more

This was my first time coming here and years. I came with my family for a dinner, so there were about 18 of us. The service was great. We had Sarah and Marley, and they answered everyone's questions kindly and efficiently. We ordered several apps (not pictured) including calamari($19), spicy tuna rolls ($16), and the jumbo shrimp cocktail ($22). The hibiscus martini ($15) was highly recommended, so that's what I got and it was perfect. I ended up getting 2 more of them. To eat, I ordered the Hong Kong combo ($36) which came with a piece of Chilean sea bass and Faroe island salmon and spinach. It was okay. The fish was cooked nicely, but I had to order rice to soak up the soupy broth. I was most excited for this main course, and it because it was just okay, I feel I had to take one star off. read more
