I stopped by for lunch and ordered the Steak and Wedge, but swapped the wedge for a side of creamed spinach. I also added a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The food came out quickly, which was great. I was surprised by the portion size of the mashed potatoes--it was pretty small, just a couple of bites for my boyfriend and me to share. That said, everything tasted good. However, I'll probably skip the creamed spinach next time. It was fine, but nothing particularly memorable, and I found myself getting tired of it about halfway through. As for service, we had Anthony. This was our second time getting him and he's been a pleasure both times. Great service and very attentive. The ambiance was relaxed. We went on a Friday during lunch, and it wasn't very busy.

Came here, partially on recommendation from locals having such rave reviews about it as well as doing some research online. So apparently this place is an institution and everybody loves coming here and it is always fully booked. In order to get here you can do the valet at the Saint Regis because they are all connected. To my surprise valet is only three dollars which is absolutely incredible. The decor here is definitely classic and old-school. I love the dark wood. The menu is very traditional and classic with a lot of expected staples. We came on a Friday and unfortunately could not eat meat so we did have quite a bit of selection for seafood, which is great. You can tell from the photos that we ordered quite a bit of items. Unfortunately, I have to say that the food was OK but not necessarily impressive nor does it stand out. For example, the crabcake entrée was ordered and while it is great that the crabcakes had no filler there was nothing special about it not only in taste, but also presentation. They're famous fried rolls Royce lobster appetizer which we got and ordered more of in order to serve. Three people was great, however again nothing about it that seemed unique. Probably the most disappointing part was that we ordered asparagus as a side and frankly when it came to the table, it just looked wilted and pathetic for lack of a better word while the waiters were very attentive about it, and apparently a manager came over as well, there was really no resolution to it. The asparagus barely had any salt or flavor on it and was just so whittle down and looked like it was dying on the plate. I really expected some serious bright green stocks that were crisp and snapped. These were soggy. I'm still giving it three stars because they do have some strengths about this place such as location reputation menu choices and ambiance. the service in general really is hospitable although not necessarily accommodating. Considering all the competition of steakhouses and steak and seafood places all within stone store of this location, I would definitely try another place next time

Came to Chops & Lobster Bar for a birthday party with about 20 people. Seating with reservations was seamless. There were a few parking spaces on the street and no parking fee on Sunday!! The drinks were good & strong. Ordered an Old Fashioned and I only needed one. We started with the calamari. Soooooo good! Nice Asian glaze with good cuts of calamari. Quite different, but still really good from standard calamari. We ordered the Tomahawk steak for 2 (cooked medium), Brussel sprouts, broccolini, and truffle fries. The steak was perfectly cooked! Just enough pink and not too much red. It was seasoned very well. No steak sauce needed. And it was just enough for 2 people, including my very hungry husband. My favorite sides were the Brussel sprouts & broccolini. Forgot to take pictures but they were yummy. Ordered the truffle fries for my toddler. She was unfortunately not a fan. There's no kids menu, so prepare yourself.

The lobster bisque is pure luxury! creamy, buttery, and you can't forget to add the lobster morsels that makes every spoonful unforgettable. I customized the sea bass, asking for it pan-seared in garlic butter (highly recommend), and it came out golden, flaky, and perfect alongside tender broccolini. The ribeye? A masterclass in steakhouse excellence. Service hits that sweet spot between polished and personal. Chops is one of those rare spots where everything, from the food to the vibe. feels effortlessly first-class. Definitely a splurge-worthy favorite.

Phenomenal restaurant! The ambiance is great, the service is even better. If you're indecisive on what to order, get the pepper steak! Easily one of the best steaks I've ever had.

While Chops has elements of an upscale restaurant, there are other elements more like a sports bar&grill. The white tablecloth service, dresscode, dim lighting, and menu definitely give an upscale feel. However, the extremely loud environment is like a sports bar or a lounge. Also, the seating/tables are crammed together tightly next to each other. All that being said, the menu options and price, the taste of the dishes, and the service overall were fairly good.

Aside from wanting a bit more variety on the menu, the green beans coming off a bit plant tasting due to them being undercooked, and the usual acidic restaurant coffee; everything else was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I was hoping for a gourmet pork "CHOP"... get it? lol. I had Moscato, the Cesar Salad, NY Strip w/ mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and green beans. For dessert I had perfect Crème Brûlée w/ coffee. Service was immaculate. The ambiance seemed quiet but it did get a bit loud later into lunch. Dress is business casual. Prepare to valet because parking is not fun.

If you want to have a great flavorful steak. This is your jam! We had the Tomahawk for 2 and it was very tasty and flavorful. I also had an Old Fashion and it was amazing! Their salad was great and the service was unparalleled! The ambiance it is up scale but great for business dinner or family dinner or just make an excise to go to Chops. You will jot regret it.

Chops is an old school steakhouse under the Buckhead Life Group umbrella. Stellar service across the board, and the bread place isn't bad as well. It's also situated in a unique area with the modern greenery that borders Rosetta, Umi, and the St Regis nearby. They are pretty accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. Lots of pretty solid options, including even relatively healthy salads! You should also check out the broccolini. Their wine selection is solid as well.

Millie C.

Amazing service from the staff here! Servers were so friendly and attentive. Refilled waters, brought out bread and our cake without us asking. We got a few appetizers to start off with to share, the onion rings were so crispy! The oysters were fresh. My favorite was definitely the crab cake, it was filled with fresh crab and tasted very flavorful. The octopus was delicious as well. I also really enjoyed the bread service. The raisin bread was a sweet touch. And the regular bread tasted great with the butter. I ordered the pepper steak and it was amazing! The mushroom sauce was so good and the potato was so tender. We also got the broccolini and it was so buttery and tender. The truffle French fries were definitely the star! The truffle was flavor was so strong and the fries were lightly fried. Overall, this meal was so good and I can't wait to be back !

Chops is a classic steakhouse. The restaurant is split into two stories. The first floor is the main dining and lobster bar where patrons can sit at a counter. Upstairs has the large bar, bit more festive and more dining. Reservations are a must! We enjoyed the sea bass, filet, lobster mac, lobster mash potatoes, greens, shrimp, and more. Service was perfect. Food was delicious. Expect to pay $100-200 pp depending on drinks and cuts chosen. There is valet parking, street parking, and a few lots around. Uber is best here.

There are other fine dining restaurants in ATL and then there is Chops & Lobster Bar. The place looks like it commands order but I wasn't here to play by the rules. I turned this fine steakhouse into my own personal tapas restaurant because I like to try it all. We started with a Greek salad, then came the octopus, then the fried lobster. And yes, I ordered the mac & cheese because I'm 7. Oh and the no filler brilliant crab cakes. Chops may be for the serious steak crowd, but we got it on track! It's now headed in the right direction.

Ask the Community - Chops Lobster Bar

Is it free valet?

No, it's $5 plus tip

I want to schedule a dinner with colleagues after a conference but we are all accountable to different expense accounts. Will the waiter issue individual checks for a table of 6? What's the most?

It was a group of us. We all paid individually. I don't think there is limit. It was at least 10 of us.

Now that they've reopened, do they validate parking?

They never have and most likely never will. Valet is conveniently right out front though

What is the phone number for this place? When I try calling it says phone number disconnected.

404-262-2675. This is the number I use. I double checked before passing it along.

Are they spacing out the tables? Thanks.

Not at all unfortunately 🤷🏽‍♀️

Is there outdoor seating?

Hi there Merbril! Thank you for your inquiry! We currently do not have outside seating at Chops.…

Does chops have a corkage fee?

You aren't supposed to bring your own wine at all!

What sort of dress should we wear?

I would recommend business casual, but I saw one guy wearing shorts.

So I had seen this spot for ages and I have never been inside. So I tried to make a point to go in…read morebecause I was in the area. It's in a shopping center so there are plenty of parking, but you may not be able to park close to where you want to walk to the door to because there are so many other spots there. But the parking is free in Buckhead. So that's a plus! There's spaces inside and outside for you to go to, so that's good, but the inside is very nice and decorated very well. They have TV so you can watch sports but it's not a sports bar so don't get that confused. The bar is a nice size and set it pretty well. Not billions of bottles but just enough to what you need. Dean was my my server and bartender, super good customer service, very warm and communicative, and I would have come back just to sit at the bar with him again. The ball is very well kept and very clean, but the whole establishment was as well. They have a lot of space by the bar and to the other side of the restaurant as well. The menu is predominantly seafood related but they have other things as well. But they have a couple things that look like. They should be really really good so I am going to have to double back! Calamari - The calamari was pretty good. It came out really fast so it makes me think that they were already cooking by the time I ordered LOL. But it had a sweet chili sauce to it, but the calamari seem to be crispy and seasoned enough to where it wasn't a requirement. Brussel sprouts - brussel sprouts for good, kind of wish they had more of them but they were still pretty tasty. Overall. They had the vinaigrette flavor so I know that they were cooked well. They were more firmed and mushy so that was good. I would get them again and I was see. Can I get a full order instead of just a side order because they were just that good. Old bay fries - The Old Bay fries were okay. They had that sodium to where you needed ketchup to kind of bring the sweet. But they were still good though regardless. Shrimp tacos - these were good. Had 3 large shrimp. Got mine blackened and they were just the right amount of taste and flavor. The sauce on it was a little much but that was okay though, it balanced out all of the spice for the peppers and the shrimp seasoning. Gumbo - the gumbo was pretty good and it came in a large bowl, more than you would think a cup would be. Savory and tasty. Overall, with the quality of the food and the customer service, I feel like this place definitely deserves my attention again. The first time I went in I only had a couple of appetizers, and that really didn't do it justice.

We enjoyed the Fried Calamari app. My bride ordered Fish & Chips and I ordered the Lobster Roll. All the food was excellent. Great fries, really great Cole Slaw. Drinks and food arrived promptly and everything was at the proper temperature. Every staff person we met was cheerful and helpful with Deenie our server best in class. This was my second-ever Lobster Roll and it was the second-best after a Cousins Food Truck. The B's portion seem significantly smaller and, at $35, more expensive. In general, Big B's pricing is what lost them a star in my review. We will definitely return when we earn another $120...

We were there a little outside of normal lunch or dinner time (right about 11:30am), so they weren't very busy at all, but our server let us know that if we had visited on a Sunday at that time, we would see the place hopping. The interior of Atlanta Fish Market is pretty neat, with a very nautical vibe. White shiplap boards, open airy skylights, and palm trees with twinkle lights wrapped around! We were seated by a corner window area that had greenery outside, so it really felt like we were out in nature by a lake or something, and not just by the busy street outside. The tables were thick wood, and they had blue booth seating that matched with the color palette completely. Based on the upscale decor and design, I would consider this a nice place to dine for a business lunch or nice date night. Our server was top notch as well, with a very attentive attitude, especially highlighted since we were one of only a few tables in the restaurant at that time. The food was also pretty great, with seafood being the top choice for us. We shared the watermelon salad to start, and even though the combo sounded a little weird at first, the watermelon played off the greens amazingly and gave it a nice fruity flavor. For my entree, I chose the fish and chips with hush puppies, and the fish was fabulous and very fresh. My husband is a salmon lover, so he got the pecan crusted salmon, which came with whipped sweet potato mash and broccoli. The crust on the salmon was great and had a little sweetness due to the honey butter on top of the salmon filet. With excellent service, an ambiance that was very welcoming, and food that was high quality and satisfying, we left Atlanta Fish Market very full, happy, and impressed!

The Summer Dine Around encourages guests to visit participating BLRG restaurants throughout the season while earning dining rewards, so it's a fun excuse to explore places you may not normally visit. For happy hour, I started with the Sauvignon Blanc, which paired perfectly with the **Hamachi Jalapeño**. That dish absolutely stole the show. The fish was incredibly fresh, buttery, and melted in my mouth, while the jalapeño added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. I could've easily ordered a second plate. I also had the **Classic Lobster Roll** served with warm butter. It was simple, rich, and exactly what you want from a lobster roll. The quality of the lobster really speaks for itself. To finish, I couldn't pass up the **Oreo Crusted Cheesecake**, and I'm glad I didn't. Creamy, decadent, and not overly sweet, it was the perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive, the atmosphere felt polished but relaxed, and happy hour made it easy to enjoy a luxury seafood experience without the full dinner price tag. I'll definitely be back, and I'm looking forward to checking out more restaurants through the Summer Dine Around program.

Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Our server, Clayton, couldn't have been more helpful with the menu, as well as being very efficient and amiable. He made sure our food was served promptly and our beverages glasses were full, and our requests were met quickly. Despite a couple of hiccups, the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening. I'd definitely return and try something different next time.
