Well, that is ironic considering all the other times I am there with the same situations, they take the truck back and I'm home NLT 1 pm. I usually go local for the oil change and then support a local business or two, but this is the second time in 6 months the young gentleman told me he couldn't get to me. This time had a helper "girlfriend" behind the desk hanging out which I've never seen before either. This is just not like Fuquay tire and their normal level of service. I went somewhere else because it needed to be done but it has me questioning if every time I recommend this store if I'm now making a mistake.

When we picked it up they said "it's in great shape and just needed the coolant line replaced." I drove it off the lot and noticed the air wasn't getting cool. 2 days later, the AC went out completely. We brought it to a different shop and they pulled out the cabin filter which was entirely black and clogged (pictures uploaded). In addition to that, the Freon line had been sprayed at Walton's and had a microscopic hole. The new auto shop said "there's no way they missed this." We called, to obviously voice concerns about the cabin filter not being checked when we asked for an entire overhaul... they said "we never brought it over to our services side"... I'm not sure why they wouldn't do that. I'm incredibly disappointed in the service we were given at this shop. We were told "it's unfortunate timing and a coincidence" it's ABSOLUTELY NOT. It's bad business. I will NEVER return and I will recommend that people do NOT go here ever again. I'm confused and frustrated... come to find out they don't even check transmissions or engines at this shop!! Which was never disclosed to us. Tim checked it out by running and re-running several tests, but the prognosis was not good: transmission was gone. He went above and beyond, calling around looking for a reasonably priced transmission and discussed options with me. Sadly, due to age and mileage of my car, plus the cost of another transmission, I realized it was time to let this car go. My bill was very reasonable and fair, and Tim and his staff did their best for me, for which I'm very grateful. I just found out about Stephenson's in 2024 after ownership of my former inspection station…read morechanged. I have not had any vehicle work done here so I can't speak to that end. However, I have had inspections done here and I have to say it's the best place in town to get an inspection. They go by appointment only, no drops ins. But I've never had to wait more than a couple days to get an appointment. When you show up you are promptly greeted and they immediately take your vehicle back. They have a really nice waiting area with a big couch, a table. After a few minutes someone in the back brings up your paperwork and by the time you're done paying they have your car waiting out front ready to go. Couldn't be any happier. Oh, and a tip: don't tear the barcode off of your registration...they scan that here. Only place I've ever been told, twice lol, to keep the barcode with the registration paper.
