Flight and my pint-Black & Blue.
Michelle L.

Went here twice while in Bar Harbor. Never ate but the beer was great. The black & blue is a must try and hubby loved the leaf peeping beer. Guy behind bar is kind, funny and knowledgeable. Don't forget to get their blueberry soda. I bought a six pack to make floats. Great inside or out we did both.

Great bartender good brews! I liked thrills for the pills the best the islander and blueberry were fun too! Bought a 4 pack for an at home taste flight with family

Ribs to share first- visited with Pete and tasted beers next. Afternoon well spent!

Pete in The tasting room - go see him! So enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the beer, the owners, the history and the area!

This was a fun brewery to go to. They have a BBQ place on site as well. Parking is decent in their own lot. The inside brewery area is pretty small and it was crowded when we got there. They also have outdoor seating which is where we sat.. fortunately it was warm enough for us. We tried a flight of beers. My friend ended up really liking the blueberry beer! We enjoyed hanging out there.

Inexpensive flights to taste all the delicious creations!

It was a dreary Wednesday (Maine needs the rain, so we didn't mind), and we headed over as the brewery opened. Pete took amazing care of us! He's the bartender, tour guide, shipment fulfiller, and just a jack of all trades! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the tasting room was clean and large with a nice variety of merch. If they didn't have something out, Pete was willing to search for sizes and other colors. We all settled on a flight - VERY affordable and nice size pours. Each and every beer was delicious. I wish we had time for a second flight, be we had to be on our way. Be sure you taste their blueberry drink as well - they sell more of that per year than they do beer, and we saw it all over the island. It tastes fresh and there's no artificial flavor. Pete gave us many recommendations for things to do and places to try. He also gave us a tutorial on peeling lobster. If you're hungry, there is a restaurant on site (different business, but they play nice) and they have all the beers on tap there. You can also carry your flight over there. This was a charming start to another wonderful day on the island!

Stopped here after a long day of hiking at Acadia. They have another location in downtown Bar Harbor, but we opted to drive a little further to avoid the parking chaos and crowds of town. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We tried several beers and didn't have anything bad, but nothing super unique or outstanding either. We tried the BBQ sampler; it's no southern BBQ but still pretty decent. The baked beans were the best we have ever had.

Super friendly service, great vibe inside and outside, and outside the very touristy area with easy parking. I didn't try food from Maine Meats, just drinks. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly, and I got a flight of tasters (free soda tasters!). My favorite was the blueberry ale, which has a great botanical scent and taste that's just slightly sweet while still maintaining its beer flavor. The pale ale was also great, and I don't typically like pale ales that much. Definitely check out this location of Atlantic! They have a selection of to go drinks and merch too.

We were tired from hiking and driving and general touring. It had started raining. And that's how we found ourselves at the Atlantic Brewing Company. They offered a small, but beautiful and comfortable taproom, great conversationalists to work the taps and a convivial environment. Oh - and really tasty beers. We left having enjoyed two hours of relaxed conversation, delicious flights and several travel tips from fellow wandered who also found themselves as ABC for the afternoon.

Really enjoyed this spot. Wanted a brewery in Maine and stumbled upon this place. Easy and quick seating and some of the best tater tots I've ever had. Beer was very tasteful too. The blueberry beer won me over - no shock there. Would absolutely recommend. Can't wait to return back on a future Maine trip.

My husband LOVED the beef brisket. My pulled pork sandwich was moist. Loved it was served on Texas toast! Service was good on the patio and AMAZING in the tasting room. Mostly outdoor seating so dress accordingly. Plenty of parking behind warehouse.

Bar Harbor Real Ale. Dog friendly outside.

Hadn't had the chance to go here in years. Beers are generally a solid 3.5/5. Thunder Hole Ale and Bar Harbor Real Ale are two non-IPA selections you should try. Don't sleep on the BBQ provided by Mainley Meats. The mixed plate with sausage, chicken, ribs and pulled pork was really well done and the portion size for the money was the best I've seen since Covid. Nice small bar inside for tasting and two outside seating areas.

Great service, great beers. We did have to wait a little while to get in to sit but I guess that is a testament to how awesome this place is. We did visit the gift shop while waiting and I bought this amazing hoodie which I now wear almost all the time. While it wasn't cheap, it is very nice and has held up through a lot of wear and tear. After we sat down, I loved that there is a place indoors when its a little chilly outside to just hang out. Plus you can get some snack type food and have some desserts. and some of the desserts are only local....

Cool little brewery 15 min out of downtown Bar Harbor. I had the Double IPA which was very good and the Blueberry Ale is also good. I grabbed some Mountain Topper cans to take home with me as well. There is also a Mainely Meat BBQ on site for food. We got the sampler, it was average, not sure why everyone raves about this bbq, maybe it was just an off day. Ribs were dry as was the pulled pork. Sausage and chicken were both moist though and the sides (beans, coleslaw, potato salad) were okay. Glad we stopped in and would come back for beer again in the future.

Old French oven.

I had the burger special which was fucking fantastic! I was getting pretty tired of seafood at this point and it was the most refreshing change of pace. It was one of those just in time food experiences. C went for the crab cakes. What a gorgeous version of crab cakes they were! Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. If I lived nearby, I would be here all of the time. There were a ton of interesting menu items I would like to try. '26 - 26

The cabin of the boat is very comfortable with large, comfortable chairs and tables. There is a deck with a galley where they serve drinks and snacks. They also sell hats and gloves if you're cold and drammine , if you feel sick. The admonition to dress really warm is for real , for real. It was about seventy degrees at the dock , but it was about forty degrees out in the middle of the ocean. We really did need winter gear to be comfortable outside from the deck. The deck has seating all around and safe rails. So you can stand against the rails , the boat speeds along , so you can get to a whale quickly , and then it slows down to a stop when there is a sighting of any kind of significant wildlife. When I felt sick after a good hour of a bumpy rough sea, which we were warned about , they immediately brought me ginger ale and a seasick bag. Unfortunately , on this trip , we only saw the back of a humpback whale , and then we saw a deceased whale. They took many photos and alerted researchers to come and find it so that it could be determined or studied how it might have passed away. They are very responsible and responsive to the safety and health of the sea life. What time arriving back at the dock?We were immediately emailed vouchers that we can take three years to use. That in and of itself is a guarantee to me that they care about their customers and want their patrons to have a lovely, well watching excursion.

Two boats can go out at the same time depending on the crowds. Lines will be long and they will take your picture before you board, (A novelty idea by them to get you to buy a photo of yourselves after debarking). We opted out politely. *Note: We went to the top floor which was all seats. Expect to be chilly. Standing by the rails on top minimal room. Downstairs more room but more crowded, an enclosed area, 3 co-ed bathrooms and Galley. *Final thoughts: Having a physical crew member narrative at top on the microphone was actually a good way to pass the time and learn a few things about what we would encounter. We have a whales "Tale" to speak of when we get back home. The Review Guru* Long Island NY
