Can only eat here if you're a hotel guest? Doesn't say anything about that on the website...planned our night around having dinner here and now we need to figure something else out. Should say on the website if you're not going to serve the public.

The coconut shrimp are absolutely to die for. A must order! The burrata was great, with a nice char on the peaches. The burger was average and the service was just okay. Overall, I'd say It's a 3.5 that rounds up to a 4 due to the coconut shrimp.

Gorgeous view! Fresh food. Accommodated our food allergies (gluten and lactose). We ate here twice because of the view, friendly service, and food quality. There was no wait for a table for 2. The butternut soup with coconut milk and toasted coconut was a combination (although summer-like rather than the typical fall flavors), the burger, lobster roll, and blueberry salad were good, the Lobster Cobb salad was generous although a bit bland. Definitely worth the visit.

Saturday, July 2025: My husband and I traveled from Wisconsin to Maine and wanted an authentic lobster experience on the water. We liked the outdoor dining setting at The Terrace Grille so opted to have lunch there outside. We went there at 1PM on a Saturday and were seated right away. We didn't get a table right next to the edge but we could see the water perfectly from our seats. Our waiter was very friendly but he, and most of the staff, were transplants. Our waiter told us he didn't know where lobsters came from until he recently moved here. lol For an appetizer, we shared the Crab & Appetizer Dip. It was delicious!!! Definitely not healthy but we didn't care, we ate most of it. Tip: eat it while it's hot! It's definitely not good cold. For lunch, I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Cobb salad and my husband had the Steamed Maine Lobster. My salad was amazing! The lobster was fresh, tender, and overall the flavors of the salad went well together with the honey citrus dressing. My husband wasn't crazy about his lobster, he said the meal was acceptable but the lobster was overcooked.

    Lobster Bisque

The lobster bisque was out of this world! And the sear haddock with its mashed potatoes and heirloom tomatoes (the best bite of my entire trip). Our server Kim spoke like our new best friend and followed through. My wife and I will make sure to get back here the next time we're in Bar Harbor.

We had a great experience here! They don't accept reservations, only walk ups, but we had no issues getting a table. The outdoor seating area is GORGEOUS with great water views of Frenchman Bay and Bar Harbor. We ordered a bowl of NE Clam Chowder, Lobster Bruschetta, Lobster Chef Salad, and the Haddock. Everything was superb! What the chowder lacked in salt it more than made up for in deep, rich clam flavor! The haddock was also divine! A great experience for sure!

This place is wonderful. The service was top notch and the food was fresh, quickly made, and delicious. The fresh sea breeze and complimentary fireplace area created a nice atmosphere. The prices weren't bad either! I definitely recommend.

Good food, service was a bit slow, but the views and the ambiance were unmatched. Drinks weren't the best. There's a great little park right off the deck that had picturesque views.

Back again with a visitor from GA, and the Grille didn't disappoint! The patio was crowded and we were seated at a 6 top, even though there were just 2 of us. Loved the attention to getting us seated. We had said we would share our table if they needed it. Beautiful day and gorgeous view on a Monday at lunch. Becca was our server and she is fabulous--attentive and genuine interest in if we liked our food! We split the burger and the haddock sandwich with fresh fruit and chips. Was surprised to say I would come back for the burger (it was great)~ I'm already a fan of the haddock sandwich. Next time we would ask for more aioli sauce for the haddock. The chips were just chips, recommend spending your calories on something else. We left them on the table and had ice cream later! It's my go to spot for lunch with out of town guests!

Located overlooking the harbor next to the Bar Harbor Inn, with gorgeous views overlooking the Porcupine Islands in Frenchman's Bay. Great menu options, from the blueberry salad to a hamburger to haddock tacos to short rib (among many others). Each one is a delight, well designed with tastes and textures that complement each other perfectly. Our server, Kim, was helpful, with a smile that lights up with the sunset and great recommendations. You'll be well served here.

Amazing!!! When we decided to go here on a date, I imagined the atmosphere to be the highlight and the food to be average, but I was wrong. Both were excellent! I had the local haddock and my husband had salmon. Both were great but the haddock was the favorite! Sitting by the water made it feel like vacation and set the tone for a relaxing and romantic evening. They don't take reservations and we were told it would be a 45 minute wait, but we were seated in about 30. After ordering, the food came quickly. I would recommend making this restaurant a part of your plans!

This was AMAZING! Loved the view from the terrace and it was a perfect vibe. We all enjoyed our meals soo much. It was perfectly made and portions were big. The wait can be a bit long when busy but you can walk around in the meantime. The drinks were so great as well! Service was pretty quick once we were seated! For dinner in Bar Harbor this was a highlight and you don't have to be staying at the hotel to go!

Incredible view for lunch. Really stunning. Food was good enough (lobster roll, turkey sandwich) but it's the view that would bring us back.

We showed up on a Saturday at 5 o'clock end of August and got right in at Annex which is the same menu and attached. Waiters were helpful and kind, amazing people! Live music was going on at 7 but we left right before, awesome vibes doors to the outside open so it was basically an open air concept since it was a beautiful day. Clam chowder: super delicious and passed the spoon test! (I like my chowders thick so a spoon should float on top) Bangin Shrimp: seasoning and sauce were bangin! Great stuff and the buttery grilled flamed pita added a beautiful touch Cadillac fries: crispy fries with melty cheese, hot sauce, bbq sauce, chipotle mayo and toooed with bacon. We inhaled these. Mac + rac: fall off the bone rips and the Mac was killer. Mixed in with street corn added a great change up and all went so well together. Larger shells cooked perfectly and super cheesy, this was a great dish. Highly recommend, wish I could have tried the Blueberry Pie because that looks insane, was way too full after crushing the other dishes and washed down with a blueberry beer and an extra dirty martini!

However, we weren't too tired to eat it, so we had the food delivered from Side Street Cafe. So glad we did it that way cuz it was terrific... and easy to arrange ! My hubby ordered their Cubano sandwich while I ordered a cheeseburger. He loved his Cubano, which came with a side of mac 'n cheese. The mac 'n cheese was light in flavor, I think because of the kind of cheese used. I prefer more flavor, but it wasn't bad either. My( burger was quite large, and it was really tasty... very nicely seasoned beef patty, and it had all the things I like... cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle.... and catsup. I was very happy. It came with fries, but I had my fill of fries with all the lobster rolls I had ordered along the way, so I didn't eat them. Plus, there was a slice of blueberry pie calling out to me, so I wanted to blow my calories with the pie... and so glad I did cuz it was another spectacular piece of blueberry pie. Against my will, I split it with my hubby. Lol. It was a great way to end our meal. (Turns out we never got dinner that night cuz we were so full from such a nice lunch.) Side Street Cafe is definitely going on my radar if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Bar Harbor.

We had the restaurant to ourselves initially so I cannot speak for the acoustics but overall Porcelli's offers a nice atmosphere for dinner. My family of four were eager to enjoy an Italian meal after days of traditional New England style meals. We began with the Strawberry & Burrata Salad and the Polpetti (meatballs with polenta). The starters were okay but the stars of the show came next. Our boys each enjoyed the halibut served with risotto. My husband had the Cacio e Pepe. He said it was as good as any he had while in Rome. I had the Gnocchi Mushroom Ragu. It was one of the top Gnocchi dishes I have had the pleasure of enjoying. Our ten year old son said it was the best gnocchi he has ever had. The texture of the gnocchi and the flavors of the sauce made for a flawless dish. The chef makes all pastas in-house and you can tell. The pasta dishes are exceptional! The entree portions are generous so you won't mind sharing a bite or two with your dining companions. I only wish we would have discovered this gem earlier in our trip.
