I spoke with Internet Salesperson, Joe prior to coming in who was kind and helpful and he was sure to greet me, check in on me, and say good bye before I left to be sure I was satisfied. Salesperson Andrew A. was kind and communicative, listened to my wants and needs, made sure I had a far better experience than the other locations, and got me exactly what I wanted. Frank in finance made the process as smooth as possible, was kind, communicative, and understanding. Both Andrew and Frank understood how stressful the process could become and also used quiet, kind, calm tones when speaking about your personal information, making it no one's business but your own. I was hopeful to find a Chevy dealer I could trust and want to go back to again in the future and I'm glad I found it at Atlantic Chevrolet. read more

I purchased a 2025 Equinox from Atlantic back in February 2026. It was one of their service loaners so it had 8,600 miles on it. The day I purchased it the OnStar didn't work and they said they would order a new module for it. After 3 weeks of waiting for the part, I called and found out that they didn't order it and that they will order right then only to be told that it was on back order. So I waited for it to come in and got it fixed. Then it had a programming error which caused it to make really loud noises and would vibrate the whole vehicle. Fast forward to the beginning of August my vehicle started having more problems. I took it back to Atlantic and told them exactly what was going. The service advisor Lauren DIDN'T listen to me when I told her what was going on. She only put maybe a quarter of what I told her on the work order. So between the service department at the dealership and the transmission shop that they use said they couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle. She also told me that it's normal for the vehicle to do what it was doing. The issue with my vehicle is when you first start driving slowly accelerating when you hit around 30 miles an hour, it feels like the vehicle slips out of gear and it revs up to 5000 RPMs and once the RPMs come down, it slips back into gear and you can continue driving. The advisor, Lauren Told me that when you're driving and you're at 50 miles an hour and you put your foot down on the gas it's gonna wrap higher. She didn't listen to me when I told her what was wrong with my vehicle so I picked my vehicle up and I am still having the same problems with it. I asked for the service manager to call me. He did not call me. The assistant manager called me and told him the same thing and they still haven't done anything about it and it's been a couple of weeks since I've had my Vehicle back in my possession. This dealership never listens to the Customer. They just pretty much wanna tell the Customer that they're stupid and they don't know anything about their vehicle. I will never recommend this dealership to anybody and anybody that I hear talking about wanting to go to the dealership I will tell them not to and I will tell them to go to a different Chevy dealership. IF I COULD GET AWAY WITH NOT EVEN HAVING TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR, I WOULD. read more

Jesse told me they would do whatever it took to gain my business and they would not risk losing my business over a few bucks. I just spent 2 hours with a junior sales manager who couldn't have been more than 28 years old. He proceed to tell me my trade was not worth more than $6000, even though I presented two offers over 7,000. My car has been sitting at the dealership for 8 days, and despite the situation, they refused to provide a courtesy vehicle, claiming they're "backed up." That might be inconvenient--but what happened next was flat-out dangerous. My vehicle broke down in the middle lane of the Long Island Expressway during rush hour, creating a serious safety hazard not just for me, but for everyone around me. I was stuck in live traffic, nearly getting hit, and left to deal with it on my own. No urgency, no support, no accountability. I've since opened a case with corporate and filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. I purchased a 2017 Suburban from Atlantic Chevrolet December 22, 2022 Within the first two months of owning this vehicle, the entire transmission blew and needed to be rebuilt. (We bought this truck with 64,883 miles on it and it only had 65,933 at the time this occurred.) after warrantee coverage, This work ended up being $4255.96. Just barely a year into owning vehicle ( at about 76,000 miles) truck needs front motor mounts, both stabilizer links, new oil cooler hoses (leaking), new front shocks (leaking) amongst other issues, etc. (Another $5231.31 worth of work and I only put 11,117 miles on the car since owning it 14 months.) In January of this year 2025 the entire transmission blew again stranding my entire family in Florida! This was approximately approximately $10,000 to replace entire transmission again out of state, needing rental cars, etc. November/December 2025, lifters failed and I need an entirely new ENGINE, that will be approximately $9000. The truck has been a lemon, insanely costly and Chevy has offered me barely anything to get me out of it. Should be refunded for this LEMON but nobody there cares! read more

Dealership lists autos on Autotrader and CarGurus at the finance price versus the actual price. Basically they are listing the price after a "down Payment" so the sites can better rate the deal of the car and so they can get leads at the cheaper price. When you call in they quickly point out that is not the real price. I was specifically calling about a 2024 Chevy Equinox EV that they have listed for $24100 on Autotrader and CarGurus stock number #55647A. When I inquired about why the price was different they blamed te 3rd party sites for the bad listing and then pointed me to their website where it is listed for $26095. They want me to believe that the 3rd party site is to blame for the bad listing but after looking at the dealer reviews it is obvious that they have been doing this practice for quite a while. they absolutely can have the price listed right on the website but they want to get people calling in first so they can get the lead. They said they would split the difference with me but I declined to work with them since they have deceptive marketing practices. read more

Dodging customers calls and return emails when they are ready. I am in understanding if you are short staffed but provide a means of transportation for your holding a vehicle. selling extended warranty for a company that is not open ona weekend to provide expedited service regarding what is covered. it is very troubling because they know damn well they would not take it but they act like the customer who is complaining is the problem. who is going to help me pay for 19 days of car insurance payment? Finally get a call back from a sales person who then proceeds to tell me the vehicle" isnt GM certified when it clearly states on the Atlantic Chevrolet website and the carfax that it is. "But he can do me a favor by certifying the vehicle at a special price of $1200 when everyone else charges $3000". The sales person then proceeds to inflate the advertised price by $2000. This sales person was so horrible the "sales manager" called me back to half heartedly clean up the sales persons LIES but then acted as if I was a nuisance. I'll start by saying if I could rate this place at 0 stars I would. Brought my 2021 Silverado in for a transmission issue. As a former automotive electrical diag tech I already knew it was a torque converter problem. Vehicle is under warranty still so should've been a simple fix. Not the case. Vehicle was there for over 2 months! First they tried blaming a remote start that I,(a professional) installed on day one of buying the truck brand new in July of 2021, saying it was causing communication issues. Ok no problem I went and disconnected it. Finally picked the truck up and found that they were trying to charge me for a repair that I didn't authorize claiming they repaired 2 wires that my remote start was tapped into. Fought it and they took the charge off. They also replaced the battery which I approved. Took the vehicle home and wanted to see what wires they "repaired". This guy must've reused the same tape that I used and the same zip ties because nothing was changed. I plugged back in the remote start module and it worked fine so they never even touched the wires that they claimed were an issue. At this point I was fuming. Now a few hours later I'm driving to work and notice these lines on my windshield that weren't there prior to dropping truck off, I have video evidence that they were not there before and they appeared while vehicle was there from my dash cameras that run 24/7. They scratched the outside of my windshield right in the view of the driver so it's all I see now. When I brought it back they basically told me it's my problem and they're not doing anything about it and that I have insurance I should just go through it. It took everything in me to not lose my cool on the service manager. After filling a complaint with GM corporate they finally got back to me and said the dealership is now trying to blame it on my window tint. Didn't know tint was on the outside of the glass?? They basically are trying everything the can to get out of taking responsibility for what they did. Fast forward now to yesterday. The last moth and a half I've been having weird issues. Check engine light turning on and off, radio turning on and off randomly and steering loosing power when parking or 3 point turning. Decided to investigate a little more seeing if they left anything loose. What do I find? They never tightened the positive battery cable when they replaced the battery! Stay away from this place at all costs! I will never return to any Atlantic dealership ever again! Also I forgot to mention that I worked for the group for almost 15 years and left on great terms! So if they'll treat a former employee this way just imagine how they'll treat the average joe! read more

This dealership swindled my sister's life savings by leasing her a car knowing full well she needed someone to be with her as she suffers from early onset of aphasia and only answers "Yep" and "Nope". DO NOT SHOP HERE. PLEASE READ. My wife leased a brand new 2024 traverse. She picked it up on monday June 24th. It had 11 miles on it. Two days and 55 miles later, the transmission became defective. The next day it was towed from our home. We were given a nice EV loaner. We asked, why can't we just get a new traverse? We've had the new lease for 48 hours before it broke down. The EV was not our first choice but it's all they had and my wife needed a car. Our broken down car was picked up from the dealership on tuesday 7/2, and headed to their transmission shop. We were told within a day that no one knows when parts will be in or when it will be fixed. A transmission issue on a two day old car. I found out that my co worker received a "lemon" suburban from there a while back. Knowing that, I wouldn't have shopped here. Purchased my 2019 XT4 on January 7,2023. I put a deposit on the car and Atlantic Chevy held that $500 for ransom and charged another $500 when my bank reversed the first charge. IT WAS JUST TO HOLD THE CAR. Took a month to resolve the issue. Cashier's Department? Incompetent. My husband and I noticed condensation building up in both rear taillights. I have been literally going back and forth from lindenhurst to bay shore every week! They replaced 1 tail light but refuse to replace the other side because they claim they held a cold hose to it for 20 minutes and nothing happened. They want to see the car actively have condensation in it to replace it. This past Saturday I was running errands and low and behold the tail light starts getting condensation. After taking pictures even tho the service department say pictures are no good (even though their time stamped and dated), I immediately called the dealership and spoke to Evelyn. She said to bring it down and she will take pics of it. This dealership got me risking my life to try to get the evidence over to them before it dries up. I am risking my life and everyone else's on the road driving like a maniac to prove to a dealership I just purchased a car from that this issue is really happening. we complained to corporate and I even tried to message the owner of Atlantic Chevrolet, MR. CHEVY himself, but he doesn't accept messages on LinkedIn. Do you all see the theme? DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They hold your car with no plans to fix anything, leave you with no transportation week after week, corporate does nothing to help, no one returns phone calls or emails. Hubby and I went down to Chevy to trade in his car that he purchased from Hyundai which turned out to be a lemon. Had this car towed 7 times for the same issue. So he wanted to do a trade in. We figured if we go to another dealership we would have a different experience. Nope they all the same. They had us coming back and forth down there every night for 3 days straight. Big liars. Spoke with the salesmen named Glenn really nice guy. Unfortunately he was going on vacation so he left the deal with the fiance dept to take care of while he was on vacation. We gave them specifics numbers we were working with. Hubby test drive two cars. Finance guy forgot his name on purpose was full of crap. We told them we were going through Tfcu. Tried selling hubby another truck way over the price we discussed but of course they play on people's emotions. The truck was a 2012 Lincoln MkS if I'm not mistaking. First of all the truck wasnt even serviced. Had bird dodo on it and window cracked inside.smelled like crap. Who wants to buy that? And had the nerve to want to sell that truck for 15k . I said to the guy that's not the price we agreed on and there is a trade in involved why would I want this garbage. He talked about how the dealership need their kickback money. I was like are you serious right now. Then he continued to brush us off and tell us how he will call us back with a number after we already negotiated with salesmen Glenn. After the third day I was furious. I requested my money down deposit back. I was given a hard time about that. I told them I would sue the dealership for more than the deposit if I didnt get a refund. How is it you give them cash they want to cut you a check several days later when you requesting a refund back. Anyway didnt buy anything from them. Ripoff. Suggestion dont go to this dealership. I had put a deposit on a 2024 traverse back in January only to be called the day before pickup last week (an entire 6 months later) and was told by ahmed that the vehicle was "damaged in transport". If the car was supposedly delivered to you guys on June 7th how are you finding about the "damage" two weeks after the fact? He didn't even apologize for the inconvenience caused for the 6 months wasted and tried to sell another car for an extremely ridiculous price. His snobby and snarky attitude is uncalled for and not needed. On top of that never once did he call between Jan to June to update me on the status of the car, it was always me calling and following up. Last time I checked it's on the dealership to keep the customer informed especially if a deposit has been put down. He even gave my deposit back which was so disrespectful and was evident of the fact that he didn't even want to help. On top of that not a single manager came and intervened to rectify the situation; they have a get with it or go home attitude which they can keep to themselves.
