They are the most unprofessional unexperienced underhanded group of people I've ever had the unpleasant experience of dealing with... from totally unexperienced salesperson, who keeps you sitting there for hours while she's chitchatting and cursing with her coworkers and ordering lunch... or without knowing anything about the car business or how a lease would work or taking any ownership for conversations that we had to 2 separate 'managers' making an agreeing to deals and then the minute you walk back into the showroom they send in someone else to tell you know that that's not what they're going to honor. Then a general manager who doesn't acknowledge the deals that his own staff made... and threatened me basically with trying to find a better deal. I made an appointment to see the car that same day and drove two hours to the location as I was coming from Queens. When I get there they tell me that the car had sold a FEW DAYS AGO and then asked me if I was open to buying a different car. Classic BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC just to get you in the door. Update: everyone is awesome when you're buying. It's how they are after they get you to sign that shows the true character. Service is not what I expected or what was explained to me. It's a good plan, but not what they told me. I was told point blank that I would never have to spend a dollar on any service/maintenance. That's not exactly true. I bought the platinum level plan, which maybe I'm dumb, but it still seems pretty good. Anything that breaks, they cover no deductible for 10/100,000. The issue I have is that when I bring it in, they recommend that I get 2 different air filters, and a tire alignment. Now, I'm at 15,000k. Why do I need an alignment or filters. No way are they dirty yet, and the car drives perfect. To be clear, I really like the car. They wanted... 198.00 just for the alignment and 89.00 for each filter. I was a bit shocked thinking I'm covered and then they're asking me to get almost 400.00 in "recommend" services. I looked up prices and I found the range for alignment to be 50-130 (130 if it needs a lot). So, what's up with the 198?! I decline bc no way I'm getting anything without researching. I go home read my plan. Every part is covered. So I'm confused. I go back. The lady at the service desk tells me that my plan only covers oil change and tire rotation. I show her and she's flipping through the plan saying the same thing over and over. And then tries to sell me ANOTHER maintenance plan. I almost leave, but I was getting upset. I go back and ask to speak with whomever sells the plans bc if this is the case I'm out. After speaking with him, it becomes clear that the services (filters/alignment) were not necessary-- only "recommended." Read: the car did not need the 400.00 in services at all. Is this the scam? If I didn't ask questions, would I have unnecessarily spent 400.00? It feels wrong; it feels scammy to say we think you need this...? And the prices are crazy high. read more

I was originally texting with Eddie, who told me there would be a $2,000 "fee" because, and I quote, "that's what the bank charges them for taking cash." Total nonsense. When I pushed back and pointed out that this was really about the dealership losing out on the financing kickback (yes, dealers make money when you finance through them), he eventually admitted it was to make up for the profit they wouldn't get from me financing. That's deceptive and shady. So just know this: if you're paying cash, expect to pay $2,000 more than any price they post online. It's a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Brian Okeefe rug pulled us by selling the vehicle the moment the younger sales staff took the meeting for the used vehicle. This sales tactic involves stalling while Sales Mangers attempt to sell to other dealers while the buyer sits unattended at a representative's desk, in this case Sean's desk.   While my partner was waiting for Sean to retrieve the keys for a test drive. 38 minutes into being stalled, Brian Okeefe had began the process of 'pulling the rug' from her and sold to a sistering dealership. Then proceeded to disrespect her by offering a new car to her for a premium rate. Brian is bestowing these disrespectful habits on the younger staff so that they can optimize their profits by taking advantage of what they perceive to be naive young woman. read more

I wanted to let Long Islanders know about a shitty trick an auto dealer tried to pull on me: ======================================= Atlantic Kia tried to pull the "bait and switch" on me. I called the dealership at 1:05 PM on a Sunday, asking about a used Nissan Altima they had there. They checked and told me the auto was still available, and I said I would be right down there to test drive the car. They said "Great, see you then." I arrived at Atlantic Kia at 1:35 PM and they set me up with salesman Matthew Lopez, who then proceed to intake all my information, etc. After I had been there for 15 minutes, he finally told me that the Nissan Altima wasn't available; someone had put a deposit on the car at 10AM when they opened. That was over three hours prior to my call. Atlantic Kia then tried to get me to look at other, more expensive cars instead. When I said I wasn't interested, the manager tried to get me to leave a $500 "second deposit" just in case the first buyer's credit didn't go through. ATLANTIC KIA TRIED TO BAIT AND SWITCH ME, KNOWING FULL WELL THAT THE CAR WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. I leased a Telluride from Atlantic Kia about a year ago and I was working with a sales rep named Alex. The process was pretty easy, but he and the manager and Alex were adamant that I pick up the vehicle the following day. I picked up the vehicle on the day asked only to find out the Telluride went on a major sales special the following day which would have lowered my payment considerably. Also, the app with the remote start was important to me since I have a long walk to my car in the winter from my complex. I was never told the app will work for one year and now they want $20 a month for the balance of the lease. Will be going to different dealer in the future if I even lease another Kia. read more

After trading in our Nissan Rogue and leasing a new Kia Seltos we found out that for months after the deal was done this dishonest dealership never paid off the lease on the trade in as agreed to. We had to make numerous calls to get them to finally pay their debt as we received collection notices. When we spoke to the general manager of the dealership, since this is an ongoing issue, he got very defensive and nasty saying I should go get a lawyer while hanging up on us. I objected to signing an inappropriate document and they told me to leave not allowing me to have these executed documents voided and/or shredded. This was the absolute worst, but thankfully the shortest experience we have had looking for a car. We weren't even there 10 minutes before we got up and left. A very inexperienced salesman named Matt was asked to sit with us and didn't or couldn't explain the cars he had. We walked in asking if there was a rebate on the Sportage Hybrid as a friend just leased one this week and instead of telling me what Sportages they offer and trim levels he said not once but twice for me to text my friend and ask what exact car she got and he would find out from his manager if there was a rebate. We explained to him that we have never looked at Sportage can he explain the trim levels and if they are offering a rebate and he said he is only the salesperson the manager does the numbers and knows which cars have rebates. We said you aren't trying to sell us anything because you want me to tell you which exact car I want first instead of explaining the cars specifications. We were there to see what the numbers were because we have a lease ending soon, and we believe if we said to another salesman we are interested in the Sportage Hybrid and heard there was possibly a rebate incentive that would of been enough information to begin a possible sale. At first, the experience seemed promising, but after evaluating the deal, I realized I was taken advantage of. Don't fall for the games as I did. Despite having a perfect credit score and a clear agreement on my down payment, they added an unexpected $100 per month to my payments for "something they forgot to add" and my down payment also grew an additional $1,000 then agreed upon. Nothing was accurate, numbers were all over the place, very long wait times and I regret bringing my business here. I wouldn't recommend this dealership. *******RIP OFF ***BEWARE****** Sales person I dealt with was AJ Jamaddar I Negotiated a sale price with Mel, supposedly a sales manager. Reached an agreement after both he and AJ tried ripping me off for a $3000 "dealership fees". AJ then said he would submit a loan application via Alexander Maisonneuve (finance paper pusher) to get approved. I got a callback from Alex saying the loan was approved but he wouldn't give me any information of the loan terms. Asked for a callback took all day and still didn't call me. I thought we were good based on good faith and the word of Mel the sales manager about the sale price. They were aware I was driving four hours to get there. Once I get there once again, he will not give me any loan term agreement information until I persisted. And then come to find out that he submitted my loan application for $3000 more than the sale of the car. WITHOUT MY permission. Alex then kept trying to swindle me out of more money and would not keep the price agreement I had made with The sales manager MEL. I was also going to put $2000 as down payment ..yet they insisted that it would NOT be deducted from the sales price!!! instead they wanted to ADD MY $2000 to the price of the car!!! Along with another $3000 ! When they realized I was on to their dishonest business practices, they kept giving me the runaround, and I eventually walked out of the dealership. Anyone who has purchased a car here before definitely -without a doubt -was ripped off. Those are the type of people that do not read all the added bogus fees to the contract and are not well-versed on the theft that goes on with sales people at dealerships like this!! if you were contemplating buying a car here, do yourself a favor and read all of the B.S fees they add to the sale price of the car. And as we all know, don't let them tell you that your down payment is added to a loan. Satisfied with the car, but appalled by the lack of care that goes into treating the customers after the purchase. I have been trying to cancel my extended warranty for over a week at this point. I tried calling several times and leaving messages. Eventually I went down to the dealership and got verbal confirmation that the warranty will be cancelled. But that of course is worthless if it's not in writing. I thought I finally got somewhere when I pushed for a signed and dated warranty cancellation contract. But it has been days and there hasn't been any indication of my warranty being cancelled. No email confirmation, and Power Protect says they have not received anything. I tried reaching out multiple times to the dealership to check for an update, and have not gotten an email back. I find this experience and lack of communication to be completely unprofessional. read more

I had the WORST experience here trying to lease my first car. Be careful and don't trust everything they say and don't get pressured into making a decision same day cause it was chaos & you won't be happy in the end. I went in with my friend for the Kia K5. Spoke to one salesman and he went to his manager and brought back pricing that was ridiculously high so I said not interested. Then his manager came to talk to us and dropped from 6k down payment and over 500 monthly payment to 0 down 439 (huge jump). I wanted to be at max 400. They kept going back and forth with pricing with me and another salesman then jumped in also so its a 3rd person now. I kept saying I'd call them tomorrow but was getting pressured and told I needed to make a decision that night. I was making calls to my friend that knows about cars and even got questioned why do I need to call someone. I finally accept the deal for 750 down and 409 monthly. Then they press me into doing insurance first before i even did the credit app or got the breakdown of taxes and fees that i kept asking for. I wanted to wait to do insurance with my agent the next day but they kept telling me todo insurance that night. I said I already had got quoted by my agent and would rather do that the next day (since my agents office was closed) and they still pushed and said it's ok your agent can change everything tomorrow don't worry (lies). So I did insurance and it was a ridiculously high rate than what I got quoted for prior and they took a deposit of $345 and while dealing with insurance I was asked for my debit card by the sales rep which i denied cause i wanted to use credit and also I wanted to get the full breakdown of the car before i did any sort of payment. I then go into the finance managers office and they hit me with almost 5k in taxes and fees (taxes i understand but fees were ridiculous) which I knew that would happen hence why I wanted the breakdown from the start but was pushed into doing insurance first before I even got the car which how does that make any sense?. I ended up not taking the car and thank god I didn't because #1- i wasn't ending up with the deal we had agreed upon after the fees etc and #2- I later confirmed that it was a lie that I can change everything with insurance with my agent the next day so the extremely high rate I got over the phone with the insurance rep would not have been able to be changed by my agent the next day like they told me and I would have been stuck with it. There was way too much pressure from the 4! people I dealt with and strong armed into taking the car that night no matter what. And now I cancelled insurance and have to wait 2 weeks or so for a refund from that and my credit got hit with 3 hard inquiries. I would not recommend this dealership or trust anything they say until you have everything in black and white reading everything word for word and full number breakdown and only deal with your insurance agent, not the 800 number they call for you just to make you get the car that day (if its your agents after hours) . Absolutely terrible experience and huge waste of time and so happy I walked out and found a better dealership to deal with. read more

Went in on a whim without an appointment. First we checked in with the receptionist who stated that we would be next in line for a sales person. After a bit we were asked by a salesperson if we had an appointment or were being helped to which we answered no, we were waiting for the next available sales person. Same male associate also asked the the two men who had just walked in if they had an appointment - they also said NO. The male associate decided to help the male clients - trading in his Mercedes for a Forte. No one asked what I was looking at to know that the commission on my sale could have been better or worse.
