I respectfully requested the young lady to step away due to my mother's distress, however, the staff member remained stationary and did not acknowledge my plea. Consequently, I exited the room to inform the supervisor and charge nurse about the concerning incident I had witnessed. This is unacceptable & the fact that the doctor tried to downplay the situation made me even more furious!

The lady said that because her son didn't answer questions the "appropriate" way, they didn't feel it was neccessary to admit him. When you're not in your 'right state of mind", duh, you're not going to answer questions the way you're supposed to so you can get help! Word to the wise, if you happen to have a child, adult child or any other loved one in crisis, don't take them here. It's worth the extra drive to take them to New Bern or Wilmington.

The way my health insurance was I was going to have to pay for the initial consultation. This is at most a 15 minute conversation with the doctor. He wanted $270 for that conversation. I told them to shove their conversation up their colon. If you think that's reasonable you should check them out. If you think that is not, don't go there. Doctor's like this, in my opinion are the reason why health care costs are so crazy.

I was out of work for over eight weeks. I have scars on my stomach. I asked that Dr. Mlot's insurance pay the resulting medical expenses. After months of my sending them information, they will not pay the medical expenses. Morally, this is reprehensible. I am retired and the mistake he made has caused financial hardship for my family. I gave one star only because zero is not an option.
