What you pay for is not what you get straight side hustling. On my dime. Came to get a simple job done and they didn't do the job like I asked when the boss lady went away the welder came and said he needed an extra 20 after he already started on the car and not to let the boss know just tell her it's a tip or she'd charge me more. I didn't even want it welded on my frame or to reuse the old parts the way that he did but he did it anyways and made taking out my transmission so much harder for me a week later it was leaking bad I told the boss what happened and to fix the problem she argued over a recipient I told her I didn't have it but showed her a screen shot of it she said she couldn't read it then that she recognized her own writing and when we looked at it didn't say that they charged me for the pipe they cut up that I had not wanted and did not replace anything, trying to charge me more. She kept changing her story and became rude after telling me to use common sense for not telling her at first about him trying to side hustle me for the $20 and later because I didn't pay the $20 make up your mind lady had lost it Forsure. She told me to use common sense And was just rude and mad she had to fix something she said I was trying to get something for nothing for not paying him after all?? Wth ‍ lol at first she told me I should have told her about her welder trying to hustle me on the side. I had to explain to her that I didn't give him 20 I just left after I had already paid for the job I'm too busy for this kid games so that's the loophole how they hustle now and how they get you.. nothing is granted here after all and the work sucks my problem is not fixed and I'm too busy to waste my time I'll just go someplace else even though they replaced the pip like they should have it's still not done rite and still leaking bad what a wast of money and time. She said he never touched it because she didn't put that in the receipt what a scam. She then told me everting was fine and she'd fix it but when I got I'm my car to leave she came at me with a bad attitude more name calling and with another receipt with crap writing absolutely does not make any sense if you look at it.. and more name calling it's cool I'm out will fix this shit job myself never coming back. Also I didn't not mention that they ruined my four-wheel-drive by frying some hoses that's more then the price of this job alone but I won't even mention that cus I'm sure you can see where it would go. Should have just done it my self also when I check the bolts form what she didn't change they didn't even change it and the bolts were house screws so I replaced them for about $27 bucks shm now back to finding another place who can do it write the couldn't even fix it with the bolts I provided I did that myself ‍ Used to restore my cars here so decided to come years later for a simple job that ended up being a nightmare won't be back and will let my friends know not to bring there cars here. read more

Knowledgeable muffler shop. They will help you decide what exhaust tip to choose and will install in a matter of minutes. (Sometimes they offer to do a temporary small tact weld and turn on the car... to get taste of how it will sound... usually just for tips or resonator delete) They will also let you know if what you're adding will be louder or have a different tone. They also install catalytic converters and fix any exhaust leaks or holes you may have. Friendly staff and they speak Spanish. Will definitely be coming back to install a DNA tip I purchased from them and see how it sounds on my old Datsun truck. read more

To my surprise, Ms. Angie, the owner, still comes in to run the shop along with her son, Victor III. Together, this team successfully runs this facility like clock work. Before coming here I first called to see if they would have time for me that same day. The lady on the phone was very nice and polite and said that I can come now and to go ahead and head on over. When I first arrived I parked in front of this business on the street. They said I could pull my car in but then I couldn't start my vehicle because I had a dead battery. I came out and just mentioned it to them, thinking I'm gunna have to call road side assistance, but then to my surprise they came out with jumper cables and was able to start my vehicle in a snap. Two guys got to work on my vehicle right away. It was pretty cool that they let you see the underside of your vehicle. We had a small discussion of what my options were, and then they let me decide and pick how and what I wanted. Then I got quoted on the spot. I agreed and they got to work right away. The whole options and discussion only took like a minute, and it was a completely pain free discussion. Everyone's demeanor was really kind and calming. And the price was so fair it took such a major stress off of worrying about any haggling. I sat in their shop on a nice white sofa and watched tv while they worked. And then like within 30 minutes they were done. It was awesome. Felt like I was being taken care of as if I was family. read more

So i came here a couple of months ago due to hearing all the good reviews and talk about low prices. Last week i decided to change my exhaust setup so i picked up a new tomei titanium single exit. As i went on to install it i tried to remove my previous exhaust and realized that these guys welded flanges from the exhaust to my tow hook on one side and to the actual frame of the car on the other side. I had to literally hammer the flanges to be able to remove my previous exhaust. This is a great exhaust muffler shop. Other shops were charging between $160 to $200 for a mid-muffler delete. They only charged me $100 including 3 inch pipe on both sides in place where the muffler use to be. They were courteous and provided great service. I recommend this shop. The other couple of bad reviews due to lack of attention in my opinion is because they are busy plus the manager makes the decision and provide the cost quotes. Everyone is really nice. I did see a couple of mechanics stop by for parts so if you arrive and you feel someone is not tending to your presence SPEAK UP! The mechanic may be there to pick up parts or drop them off meaning he may not work there. read more

Bad customer service expensive quotes or jobs when business isn't moving at any orderly fashion best to go when they are busy for a cheaper deal. They want to get rich of you when they don't have that much coming it not fair I believe. I took my piping to install and make minor adjustments due to car it came from was a 2 door going into a 4door so about a foot to add of pipe nothing major they wanted $100 not even that much work I took it home to put it as best as I could to go back an get charged $40 when I believe it should of cost 20-30 the most read more

It's been a long putoff project getting my muffler addressed. I brought in a muffler that I bought at Autozone. I got a rough estimate of $60 over the phone. After they took a look there was some issues with the original piping (car is from '91). They ended up installing it in an hour for $100. Fast service, the whole job was done in an hour. Really nice and friendly folks here. I didn't have the time or tools to install my Borla ATAK ABs on my Mustang, a staff from the Brotman Auto Body Center recommended this place to me. The dealer asked $220 to put them on (bolt-on installation), some dude in downtown ask for 100+. This place asked for $30 per side, so that was $60 for my dual exhaust system. The installation took about 40 minutes. I'm definitely satisfied with it. One of my friend wanted to modify the mufflers on his RAV 4 so I recommended this place to him. We went there together, and they were willing to let him try three different types of mufflers on his ride to hear the sound of each before he make the choice. They do have many different brand and type mufflers there, but only those 3 fit my friend's car. It didn't cost him more than $150 if memory serves right. read more

I started going to Atlantic muffler in 1990. Back then, we had to get there early on the weekends to beat the long line. Folks would come from San Diego, the desert, Long Beach, the Valley and beyond. It's a little shop that you might blow right past if not for the all the people waiting for service, which is fast, cheap and honest. Nothing has changed. In all the years I have gone to or referred friends and family to Atlantic, I have yet to hear one complaint. This is a family owned business that takes pride in customer service (not nickel and diming the patrons) and will do whatever it takes to keep that going forward. Atlantic will charge everyone the same super low price for the same service regardless of if you are female, elderly, young and reckless or know nothing about cars. If you have a minor adjustment, it's almost always free and they don't charge a rack fee, like most commercialized places do. Recently, I referred an elderly family member to Atlantic for a bent pipe. As recommended she went when the shop opened. She and I were super surprised when Atlantic fixed the pipe and sent her on her way without charging a single cent. Jr and the Atlanic family are truly amazing in maintaining the same standard of service that put them on the map decades ago. I would never go anywhere else for muffler service and would recommend everyone who hasn't tried Atlantic to swing by. P.S. On a hot day, it is customary to bring ice cream or cold beverages for the staff and other patrons. Donuts are appreciated any time of the year. read more

Atlantic Muffler is insane. This is a real mom and pop place that I couldn't be happier supporting. Called Jr. the day before I came in, explained what I wanted to do ( a procedure called 'one-balling' on a 2003 mini cooper s) and he immediately looked it up on the web and quoted me the most ridiculously low price I have heard in LA. This price was an order of magnitude less than what other shops were quoting me. No appointment, first come first serve service. I went down and waited no more than 15 minutes before my car was on the lift. I am a hands-on kind of guy, so it was great that they let you drive your own car on the lift, and hang around and ask stupid questions and take pictures. One huge plus is that they let you watch the entire process in the bay and ask you about any procedures before they do it. No mysteries here. The welders here are artists. They work quick, but with real expertise. One thing I noticed was that the guy working on the pipes tried a few different bends before finally deciding on the final piece to use. This is not the work of people trying to get a job done as quick as possible. It's the work of guy who really take pride in the finished product. This was more artistry than muffler repair. Hands down once of the best experiences I have had with a repair shop, I could not recommend Atlantic more. The work, price, and overall experience could not have been better. read more
