Recently, we needed to undertake a whole-house re-piping project for our home. Our original copper pipes had deteriorated over the years to the point where we experienced ~7 pinhole leaks either in walls, ceilings or open spaces scattered throughout the house. We finally bit the bullet, did extensive online research, and started contacts with plumbers. We had initial conversations with up to 8 firms and in-home interviews with 4, followed up by various telephone clarifications as we got smarter (more informed) during the process. We learned quickly that a major differentiator between firms was their preferred choice of materials for piping, fittings, crimps and fasteners. This side-tracked us into research, references and other conversations regarding CPVC, PEX (A, B and C) and Legend HyperPure pipe materials. Our Plumbing team of Jackie and Barry were outstanding. They always called prior to arrival. They set expectations with us daily. We always had full water service restored at night and most of the days too. They first spent time investigating the existing plumbing system, cutting inspection holes as needed and developing a strategy/plan for the new pipes, with the goal of minimizing the number of holes in the house. They also dealt with challenges as they occurred, including a tricky tile cut through the grout in the master shower while preserving the tiles that were removed. They cleaned up daily and were respectful of our home. We developed a nice rapport and appreciated their work. On the restoration side, JC was equally outstanding, as this is where you hold your breath and hope it all comes back together - and it certainly did. JC was masterful at the drywall/tape/mud restoration, but also dealing with the other items disturbed by the project such as tiles, beadboard, vents, tub panel, etc. He is a true craftsman with attention to detail and quality and does most of his work by hand. He, also, avoided dust and mess as much as possible and cleaned up daily too. It probably helped that we were able to provide all the original paints [~10] except for one, but he was a master at blending in the paint of the restored surfaces with the unaffected portions, truly, "like it never happened". The manager John is incredibly disrespectful. During our phone conversation he had the audacity to claim the problem I was having was "with my marriage and not with them." How is that anywhere near appropriate to speak about in a business context? **Also, I wouldn't believe most of the reviews on Google. We chose this company because of them, but it seems most have been posted by people who only have posted one single review. Use your own judgment. We had this company come out to look at our shower because it wasn't getting hot enough. The plumber came out and didn't fully explain what the issue was (an anti-scald guard was in place, which required him to unscrew the faucet, and remove a plastic ring, then re-screw the faucet back on). He was there for 15 minutes and charged us $325. We called another company to get a quote afterwards- they said they didn't even consider it a plumbing issue. We could have easily done it ourselves had it been explained to us what he found. It seems this company encourages a "charge first" mantra. Atlantis did offer to take $100 off this "service," but in no way did the service warrant that cost. When I called to explain this to Tom, he immediately talked about his own issues and costs as a company- "there's no money in your $225. Do you know how much it takes to get the truck out?" I'm fully aware that services cost money, but having paid that money I should be treated with respect. He talked over me, interrupted me, was extremely rude and in no way was the model for customer service. I'm astounded that this company is in business. I encourage you not to support them. Unless you have an expensive issue, assume you won't be treated kindly. read more

Atlantis Plumbing really knocked our socks off. What started out as an unknown "slight gas leak in the walls" quickly turned into the nightmare scenario of running brand new gas lines through the entire home; including to three furnaces, two fireplaces, and at least one W/D hookup. The quote to make this happen was insane and the just thinking about the aftermath of having all my walls ripped open especially after having recently renovated became a non starter. Jackie from Atlantis gave me a call before the appointment and I shared my concerns of not wanting the house ripped up. He assured me that if they could find the leak the would do that vs. a full replacement. On the day of Jackie and Barry arrived and went to work finding the gas leaks. They found two upstairs in the open attic very quickly. The other three they found by cutting a hole in the ceiling right where the gas line enters the home. As it turns out whoever originally put the gas in put a lot of bends and joints which had leaks. They were able to fix the three there and boom no more gas leaks. I was super excited and stoked that there wouldn't have to be a full install and that they wouldn't be ripping apart our home. I recommend Atlantis Plumbing to anybody needing gas line repair work done. Both Jackie and Barry are very experienced, were very understanding of the customers point of view, and work tirelessly getting the job done. My second time receiving service from Atlantis Plumbing. Had a stubborn blockage under the kitchen sink. Wrestled with it for about a week dreading having to deal with the expense of hiring a plumber. Between plunging, dissolving chemicals and taking apart the drainage piping under the sink, my last-ditch effort was purchasing a snake and trying to go at it. I got a lot of gunk out, but it wasn't enough, there was far deeper in the pipe the light duty snake wasn't able to get as it coiled back into itself before getting around deeper bends in the pipe. I finally called Atlantis Plumbing. I thought I heard the phone rep say the starting price was $225 to come out there on a weekend. I was worried that was going to be the base price and was going to rise from there. Robert Camp was the plumber they sent over who arrived around 3 hours later. He was respectful and friendly and re-assured me that the $225 was just standard price for the particular job of clearing the kitchen sink blockage and I don't have to worry about it creeping upwards. We had one heck of a blockage as he was at it for about 2 hours. He used a Shop Vac, plunger and heavy-duty snake to fish all the gunk out that was deep out of my reach in the drain. The price was fair, and the service was great. This was the second time using their services and won't mind doing so again in the future. read more

Speed, Pricing, Politeness, Planning and Execution the Best: I would like to thank Bryan, Cody and Dustin with Atlantis Plumbing throughout the Atlanta Metro Area for their outstanding knowledge, experience, politeness and professional skills by assessing my water leak and recognizing the existing water service line was a Blue Polybutylene piping, and recommend replacing due to its age and MD'd around 1995, to repair my leak for the next at least, 25 years (warranty). The team took care of everything from marking existing utilities, trenching and laying new ¾ HD Black Poly, making Brass connections at the water main meter and the copper inlet at the house. Afterwards a pressure test of the new piping was made with no leaking found, connections were made at both ends, another live press test was made and again no leaking. The open trenching was covered, packed, and raked down. All unusable material was picked-up and hauled away. Oh, by the way, no utilities, landscaping or irrigation systems were damaged anytime. This repair work is very much appreciated. I have added this company to my contact list for future plumbing needs. Atlantis recently replaced our 45 year old clay sewer line in Dunwoody with continuous HDPE pipe using a trenchless process. Two holes were dug - one at the house clean-out, the other near the street. A continuous HDPE pipe (4") attached to a bursting head was hydraulically pulled through the existing clay tiles, breaking up the tiles as the pull proceeded. Atlantis also installed a 6" clean-out near the street (PVC). Atlantis assembled the continuous HDPE pipe from 20' sections by melt-fusing the ends at the front yard on the same day. The prep time was about 5 hours, the pull time was about 30 minutes, installing the street clean-out took about 45 minutes, and the final clean-up took about 1 hour. We were responsible for tidying the landscaping the next day. Herman and crew did an excellent job and were careful to be as non-disruptive to the property and landscaping as possible. The Atlantis price was also reasonable. Highly recommend Atlantis Plumbing for replacing old sewer lines failing from invasive roots. We now have a joint-free pipe for about 75' between the two clean-outs, and except for the new clean-out, the yard looks almost the same as before they arrived. Thank you, Herman and crew! I contacted Atlantis in regards to a few plumbing issues that had recently occurred in my home (a broken garbage disposal & a continuously leaking exterior water faucet). Their service request form on their website made it very easy to contact them and explain my initial problems. I received a callback in just a few hours, and had an appointment scheduled for the following afternoon. On the day of the appointment the technician (John Henry) contacted me a few times to provide me a more accurate estimate of his arrival time. Upon his arrival I noticed that he was very professional, courteous, cleanly dressed (he informed me that he carries extra clothes so as to not bring in dirt from other sites), and wore a face mask at all times. I walked him through the appropriate issues and he was able to quote me on the work that required immediate attention. He broke down the quote for me and informed me that both issues could be fixed that day and within only a few hours. Overall, I'm very happy with the response of the company, the level of professionalism, and the cost of the job (parts and labor). It's now been a few weeks since the actual service and neither of the previous issues have returned. read more

Completed an online request for a free estimate and received a followup call within 15 minutes. They set up my free estimate the following morning-on a Saturday at that. Bryan came out and provided a detailed and thorough evaluation. Price was within norms compared to what I had researched. They replaced the water main line from the meter to crawl space and installed a new shut-off valve. There was minimal damage to my yard which was very important to me-who wants to redo landscaping or lay new grass. They weather was bad-it was pouring rain and they continued to work diligently to get the job done. After completion, they cleaned the areas and showed me how to operate the new shut-off valve. I was pleased with the outcome. There was an issue that required them to come back out which Bryan did within the hour and took care of the issue. I was very impressed with the followup and how quickly the issues were resolved and of course with no additional charge. I feel I have finally found a plumber I can trust. On 12/27/18 I called Atlantis Plumbing. I was greeted by the receptionist who helped me set up an appointment for the next day at 12 p.m . To my surprise on 12/28/18 I received a call from Robert Camp at 8:11 a.m saying he was in route. When he arrived he greeted himself and I showed him the problem I had and he said he could fix it but there was a better alternative that just a few bucks more and would last longer. So I took it and he left to go get the bathtub faucet. When he returned he went straight to work, Robert change out the old pipes and put in new one's then he changed out the bathtub faucet and shower head. But the pipes had a lot of sediment in it so he told me how to fix it by flushing out the hot water tank so I let him do it since he was already there. So he for a few bucks more and the hot water low pressure problem was no more. And on top of that he helped by giving me good discount and advise on how often I should flush out the hot water tank to stop all of the sediment from occurring. I had a leak in my main water line from the street to the house. It was the old blue poly that had several leaks and my water bills showed it. I had 5 quotes from various plumbing companies, all very reputable companies, including Atlantis. The estimates ranged from $1800 to $5200 and included the trenching, boring under the driveway and replacing the blue poly with pex pipe. Atlantis, through their years of experience replacing blue poly seemed to be the most knowledgeable as well as the lowest estimate of the bunch. Reggie Knight and James Maxwell were the two plumbers that came to replace the blue poly. They provided excellent service, were on time, called ahead to let me know they were coming. I was quite surprised as to how much less invasive they were with the boring and trenching, even having the ability to bypass the sprinkler system throughout the front yard. Not one section in 3 zones was cut! Not sure when I will have a plumbing issue again but when I do Atlantis will be the company I'll call. read more

Ok, so I have American Home Shield and let me just say after 24 hours of the run around...they did nothing and wanted me to sit and wait OVER 48 hours for them to fix my toilet which was backing up onto the bathroom floor. (Yuck, I'm cancelling American Home shield) WHAT? WHO DOES THAT?!?! So after calling about 6 other plumbing services...this was BY FAR THE BEST PRICE. Robert and the Atlantis Plumbing team were wonderful!! They picked up on the first call and sent a technician (Robert) out ASAP. From the time I made the call from the time it was fixed was maybe 2 1/2 hours. He arrived promptly, was professional, kind, and fixed a main line clog in our half bathroom that was blocking our kitchen sink and bathroom sink from draining properly. This is the second time I've used Atlantis Plumbing, and just like the first time, they were incredibly easy to work with, and provided exemplary service for a fair price. Jackie and Barry showed up at the agreed time to give me a free estimate. After a thorough inspection of the area and the crawlspace, they then told me what the problem was, They discussed with me the way I'd like to handle it, and presented me with two options on how to proceed. When we decided, we contacted them the next day and they presented us with appointment times to work around our schedule. With a house full of out of town guests the septic system chose to back up. We had used Atlantis Plumbing before and were very satisfied with their performance. So, we called on Saturday with our emergency. Scott came to the rescue. In 90 plus degree heat he battled with bushes, crawled under the porch, dug a trench and found the septic system cover. It was then pumped out and video camera checked. A huge root ball was found blocking the entrance. Scott then blasted the blockage, freed up the stinky backup and saved the day, week, month, year. It took several hours of hard work but Scott was ever diligent and failure was not an option. He is now our new super hero. Mike is lucky to have such a great guy working with him. The entire experience with Atlantis Plumbing was excellent from the initial call placed on a Saturday night at almost 10:00 p.m., until Jerry's arrival next morning. No women wants to deal with plumbing, specifically TOILET issues. Jerry was the very courteous and has a very calm way of speaking to you, letting you know, "it ain't nothing I haven't seen before." LOL. He placed the shoe covers over his boots each time he entered the house while troubleshooting the issue. I had to be without any plumbing at all Sunday but as promised he was there first thing Monday morning and provided me with a temporary fix (due to the weather he could not dig) until today, Thursday. Robert Camp came to our house. He was wearing a mask. We originally thought we may have a leak in our ceiling in the kitchen, however because there was no water leaking there wasn't much that could be done. We then told Robert we were thinking about a new water heater and we mentioned from inside the house it was difficult to turn off the water. He also saw that behind our washing machine the valve was leaking. He gave us a quote for everything and we thought it was worth it so we had him go ahead and do the job and he was able to do that day. He was at our house all day (of course he had to go out and get the water heater) When he left he told us if we didn't like the pressure to call back. We realized the pressure wasn't great so we called and came back and adjusted everything and the pressure was so much better. As a bonus he gave me some tips on an irrigation system. I had a crushed pipe on the sewer line that needed to be replaced. The first guy that came out to fix it was very nice, but as a result I had no pressure upstairs in the Master bathroom. I called Jeff who came back out the next day and fixed the pressure, however, they forgot to check the PVR in the basement which caused me to have water in the basement. They were suppose to come back out the next day, did not show and then i was told they would be there on Monday in the morning. Monday came and no one showed so I called the office and the receptionist tried to tell me that they could come on Tuesday. Finally after some back and forth they were going to send someone out on Monday. Robert Camp and Demarcus came and let me just say from now on i will ONLY be requesting them. Not only did John from Atlantis, answer the phone on the first ring, he listened and diagnosed the exact problem from my very nontechnical description over the phone. Additionally, he carefully looked at pictures I sent him, skillfully found other potential issues, quoted a fair price and took additional calls from me well beyond 10 PM. But where the extraordinary customer service comes in, is the fact, John provided all of this assistance and information, knowing it was very unlikely that we would be able to hire Atlantis as they were completely booked and we needed someone right away. Jon C. was both pleasant and knowledgeable. I appreciate Jon's willingness to comply with our request to wear a mask and allow a no-contact temperature check before entry into our home. His ability to respect my concerns for my family during this pandemic spoke volumes about him as a person. Did I mention he left a treat for my dog?! I was able to get a same-day appointment. My shower would not stop running even though I turned off the faucet. I was supposed to fly out of town the next afternoon and was desperate to have it fixed before I left. I contacted some of the other plumbers I worked with before but could not get anyone to come over. However James Maxwell from Atlantis called me back the next morning and was able to come within an hour. The shower valve was a brand that was difficult to replace (Pioneer) and it looked like the water supply had to be shut off and the issue taken care of later once I was back in town. But James being an experienced one, realized that he could rebuild the shower valve with the parts that he had in his truck and in less than 2 hours, my shower was working like before.
