Extremely happy with the work Atlas Marble completed on our master bathroom. It took a couple of days and different workers but everyone was pleasant to work with and the final result was worth it. We had the marble put in about 18 years ago and I don't think it was properly sealed. We have fussed about having the entire bathroom resealed and polished and so happy we chose Atlas. Brooke, who schedules and runs interference for Atlas, was great to work with and seems to work around the clock! She is very good at what she does! One word... fantastic! We have a limestone top island and a tumbled limestone shower that needed cleaning and sealing. Cristina Segal, (the estimator), was transparent in providing what could be done to restore my bathroom shower floor and removal of extreme etching from my marble kitchen island. The crew arrived on time (yes!) and immediately got to work on both projects. They were very careful in prepping the areas to avoid any mess and protect my hardwood floors and cabinetry. If you are a fussy homeowner looking for a perfect job to have your stone floors, tub and shower stalls as well as your kitchen and bathroom counters refinished give Atlas a call. The estimator, Cristine, came out to measure and gave me a written quote. Every little detail I requested was in writing and given to Felix and his crew. They were punctual, covered all the surrounding areas with plastic and completed the job in 2 days as planned. All the chips were filled in, backsplash and showers dug out and re-grouted and properly sealed. My floors and counters look like new. I also received a stone care package with instructions I passed on to my cleaning lady. read more

What a team! Atlas came with four workers, Antonio, Fernando, Gomez and Eve. The four of them worked all day, no loud music, no foul language. They were pleasant and helpful. No problem setting up an appointment with estimator Cristina, who gave a detailed and clear explanation of what to expect. The crew, Juan and Eve, were prompt, courteous, organized, and extremely careful in prepping the areas around the floors. I did a friend a favor and let a guest stay at my place while I was overseas. I'm extremely particular about my home and always make sure everything is in perfect shape. So when I got back to town I discovered an etched ring on my marble bathroom counter top, most likely caused by a glass of some acidic drink someone had left on there.....and it wasn't me. I then immediately went to Yelp! to find a reliable marble care company, and up popped Atlas. I made an online inquiry on their website and requested an estimate. A couple of days later I was contacted by e-mail to request additional information so that their estimator could come out to give me an estimate for the work to be done. Just so there were no surprises I was told upfront that the minimum charge would be $350, which was fine with me......yes, even for such a small mark.....and yes, I am house proud :P Jeff came out as scheduled and took a close look at the work that needed to be done, and filled me in on what would now happen, just to keep me informed. He too reminded me that the minimum charge would be $350 and that the work shouldn't take more than 30 minutes or so. Since the on site estimate took place on a Friday, they only got back to me with the quote the following Monday, which was fine. I immediately replied with the go ahead, and was then called on the phone shortly after to confirm a date and time. Two days later, Luccio (sp?) came out......15-20 minutes later than the appointment window, but that was ok with me. Note, the appointment would have been earlier on the day before, but I had an appointment that day so scheduled for the day after. I pretty much left Luccio to work on the counter top. He assured me that he would take all precautions to keep the bathroom clean and protected form damage by taping plastic protective sheets around the counter and cabinets.....cool! :) About 45 minutes later, Luccio was done. It all looked good and I was very happy. Just as he was about to leave however, he asked me to check the work again to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. This time the lights were off and ooops!......with natural lighting I could see the ring still there! I called Luccio back to take a look and he agreed to rework it some more, and that it wouldn't be a problem at all! Really nice guy! He then ground the marble again, polished it twice, buffed it, and it was perfect! I'm totally happy with these guys. They are professional, courteous, and do a great job. read more

Well I can see why everyone is leaving five stars. I have seen there red trucks in my neighborhood and when a freak motorcycle accident ended up on my slate entrance, I took a chance and called. True to their word - and bid - their crews came out and removed the crankcase oil from the slate and resealed it all. They cleaned one week, said it was too wet to seal and would come back. They did a week later and said that it was still too wet. They came back a week later (today) and did a magnificent job. Rosemary, at the office, is a treat to work with in scheduling. I am a retired home builder. You won't go wrong at Atlas. read more

We bought a new house and had travertine installed thru the builder/design center. The travertine had a horrible finish, very streaky, uneven finish...it looked so cheap. We had a crack in our granite kitchen counter that grew out of the fixture holes at the sink. We dilly-dallied for a while, hoping the crack would heal on its own, which, of course, it didn't. These sorts of things never seem to. Out went a call to Atlas Marble. Steve came out, told us just how they would repair the crack, and gave us a detailed estimate. Later, we made an appointment to have the repair made. Steve was out on time and immediately set to work. Several hours later, if we didn't know a crack had been there, we would not have known it. We are very pleased with the service and work from Atlas Marble & Stone Care. Our Project Manager, James, was professional, personable, and verified the work was completed to our satisfaction. We also appreciated the detailed project plan and itemized pricing. The Technicians were clean, courteous, and hard workers. They cleaned, polished, and sealed stonework in 3 bathrooms. The master bath was extra tedious because we changed all of the grout to a color more suited for the limestone. The stonework now looks brand new! Irma was also very helpful. She made a special trip to our home afterwards, to explain proper maintenance procedures to the housekeeper. We used Atlas about 2 years ago at our old house and had a fantastic experience. They were thorough, detailed and did an excellent job. We moved and wanted the marble, granite and stone work to be cleaned, polished and sealed. Well, they did a terrible job. We had them come back and the people who came back did a better job. It's been 2 months since we had them here. Our tile work could not have been sealed properly because we already have soap stains. Our marble countertops in our master bathroom also already have stains. I am absolutely NEVER going to recommend them. I actually had neighbors ask since they saw the van in front of my house and I told them to find another company. I don't know what happened between 2 years ago and our most recent experience, but I cannot recommend based on the poor quality. read more

My husband and I had brand new Carrara Marble installed by our tile setter who decided to use acidic grout haze remover on the stone to remove his excess grout, which etched all of our beautiful new stone. I was devastated. We had about (5) marble restorers come in to bid on the job. Atlas Marble by far was the most detail orientated. James pointed out error after error we did not catch and told us exactly what he would do to improve upon it. Atlas was not the lowest bid we received, but they were the most professional and we felt most qualified. Our assumption was right...Atlas Marble did an amazing job. Atlas did a fantastic job on the restoration of my granite, marble and stone surfaces. I am always afraid of the 'Newport Coast surcharge' from contractors. This was not the case with Atlas. The prices were fair and reasonable and James helped me identify critical areas to stay within my budget. We spilled drain cleaner on our fancy marble vanity top and it burned a wide area making it rough and dull. Atlas Marble was recommended by a friend and we contacted them to see if they could repair the damage. It would have cost us a couple of thousand dollars to replace the stone. They asked for pictures which we sent via email. They said they could repair it, and we made an appointment. The technician/craftsman arrived on time and started work. He prepared the area, put down floor covering and wore booties on his feet. It took the morning to do the work. The vanity top is like new; actually better than new. My Interior Designer has been working with Atlas for over 15 years and told me I could not go wrong if I used them to clean my tile floors. She was not wrong. After visiting my home to give me a free estimate I set a date to have them come and clean and re-grout my tile floors and seal my new granite counters. Prior to the appointment they came to help me choose my grout color (at an appt time that worked for me). On the day of the clean the two techs arrived right on time. I felt so comfortable I left them at my home to go shopping and they said they would call me about 30 mins before they would be finished. They called me right at the time they estimated and when I walked in WOW!!! It was as if I had NEW FLOORS installed.
