Very impressive! Oscar just left and my bathroom counters look better than they did when we moved into our house two years ago! We had a few unfortunate mishaps with chemical cleaners on our quartz countertops that etched rings/stains into the surface. We thought we'd have to replace the counters, but decided to give restoration a chance. We're so happy we did! It was a lot cheaper than replacing the countertops and they look great! Stone Age restoration helped us with cleaning and restoring our primary bath marble. The floor and countertops were dull and with multiple spots. The marble looks brand new, shiny and beautiful now. I called Mark Ruiz to varnish my stamp cement back patio, I asked him if he gave any guarantees, he said he does not guarantee his work. After only 2 months my patio started to peel in several places, I called to let him know what was happening, he accused me of spilling chemicals in that area. Why would I sabotage my beautiful patio, it doesn't make any sense. He told me he will fix it only this time, if it happens again he will charge me WTF! He never move my patio furniture back, my house wall stucco was stripped due to the harsh machine used to clean my patio. I do understand now why he cannot guarantee his work, I paid $8,000 dollars. His helper Art is super nice and helpful, Marc Ruiz as a business owner is irresponsible, constantly blames the customer if something goes wrong, and does not return text messages or calls. read more

This is my second time using StoneAge, last time 4yrs ago does deep cleaning, stain and sealing stamped concrete. They did a great job, so I invited them back for another cleaning and sealing. Mark came by and provided a practical recommendation that met my budget and ensured the concrete and fireplace would continue to be maintained well. The crew came on a sunny day (helps speed up drying) to complete the cleaning and sealing. The results were as before, very good (check the beads in the pics). The garage floor was installed at our house in 2011 the epoxy began peeling shortly after install and have been peeling ever since. Marc and/or Art from StoneAge have been coming out every few months since, to make repairs. The floor looks awful...like a patch work quilt. StoneAge is claiming we have moisture however, all indications (slippery and shiny surface) show that the floor was not prepped/ground properly and the epoxy product was not properly installed. We had two other companies come out to look at the floor to assess the scope of work and there are enough spots peeling up that the claim of poor workmanship can be supported. The cost to re-do the floor is close to $5000. We are forced to take it to the next level. Marc asked us to re-write/remove our earlier yelp review. We will not do that again. Am I the happiest person in town or what! I was planning on jackhammering out all my tile floors at the tune of thousands of dollars because they were so awful and filthy, no matter how much we tried to clean them. The grout was the worst! Upon recommendation from my neighbor I called Mark Ruiz for a quote. The nicest guy and he assured me he could clean it all. But, that's not all, I am hypersensitive to chemicals and have two cats and dogs. So, we needed him to use a product that would not harm me or our pets. Again, he assured me, not a problem. Mark sent out a great crew who was respectful of my space and needs and kept all our doors closed not to lose any pets, too. I cannot tell you how shocked I was how clean our tile floors and the disgusting dark grout was at the end of their cleaning. Also, sealed all the grout, yea! But, that's not all! They also restored our kitchen granite counter tops back to their original shine like when first installed years ago. Update----FRAUD/SCAM ALERT: buyer beware. My wife wanted to have our Carrera marble refinished and sealed for Mother's Day. After calling multiple companies and getting bids the owner from STONEAGE had her hooked she promised he could get 90% of the stains and scratches out of the marble. He was literally 2 times anyone's cost so she thought he must be that good. Job booked. They not only didn't get ANY STAINS OR SCRATCHES OUT, they made it much much worse. When she called him and asked what the deal was he said I'll come out to see it as sometimes that team doesn't do great and I like to send them back to fix their work." Tried that and it got even worse. He said he never promised that they would get any stains or scratches out and she should have ready the fine print. HE NEVER OFFERED EVEN A PENNY BACK. save your hard earned cash, do not call Marc at stoneage. Horrible. See below as to the owners response.... just shows you that he will never take responsibility for his poor work. Blame the customer and blame the installers. Glad you have been in business for 20 years, but now that people can give you honest reviews on help you might want to do better work and stop blaming everyone else. It always seemed to have this annoying film over it that did not let it look as glamorous as a marble floor should be. That has all changed now and walking in our bathroom makes us feel like we are walking through South Coast Plaza. The man that came out seemed very professional and seemed to know what he was taking about, so I went with this company even though they were a bit pricier. The individuals that did the actual work were a completely different group that didn't seem to know as much. Main issues: 1. The first man told me that my granite counters would be much smoother after they cleaned/sanded it before sealing. They weren't in any better condition after than they were before. 2. There were some holes in my traverine floor that needed patching. The holes weren't patched very well because there is a ring of black around the perimeter of the holes. The floor was sanded and sealed also. I've seen other floors that got the same service done and the floors looked brand new. At the end of it all, I feel like it was a waste of money. read more

Armed with info, Marc then graciously and very patiently explained my options, one of which was a do-it-yourself approach that would cost a small fraction of the price of having his team of experts come out and address the problem.
