Service requested for repairing cracked kitchen sink granite, clean, polish, and seal (first time polish and seal in 21 years), plus clean, polish, seal travertine/limestone flooring, counters, shower/tub surrounds (4 bathrooms) and three fireplace surrounds. I called GM and they returned my call right away. GM came over, provided a very competitive bid. We hired them, and two tradesmen came over, Cesar repaired the granite and did an excellent job! I thought worst case scenario we might have to remove and replace large piece of granite, but Cesar repaired it and the crack is barely noticeable. Great job. Kitchen granite polished and sealed to perfect shine. The floors, counters, and enclosures were cleaned, polished, and sealed. Tradesman Cesar asked how we want the end finish...ie matte or shiny etc., we agreed we just want same finish. The biggest problem was our master shower which had grown discolored with calcium etc., and they restored it to new condition. Cesar also identified a couple of problem loose limestone tiles we were unaware of. I also, requested for some additional attention to one area of the limestone backsplash which was done very professionally. I am particular about dirt and shoes, and Cesar and tradesman wore booties and also covered pathway within house with plastic. Cesar also listened to feedback I provided on a couple of aspects and was very respectful by listening and responding in a professional manner to my requests. We are very pleased with the end result and will use GM services every year or two going forward to maintain our stone work. We would also recommend GM to other customers. I finally found a great company to clean my travertine floors. They covered all my baseboards and part of the walls and carefully moved the furniture. Their pricing was very fair. Not only did they do my travertine floors but also my travertine tiled shower and granite bathroom countertops. They made sure I was 100% satisfied before they left. From the first consultation, I knew this was the company I wanted to use for my Travertine floors and bathrooms. . . . . depending, of course, on their quote (I received bids from two other companies). GM is licensed, insured, and has great reviews. Their knowledge, with over 20-plus years of experience, was evident during our first meeting as the procedure was explained and my questions were thoroughly answered. Areas that I had not even noticed were pointed out to me that would be filled or repaired, or re-grouted. You could tell they take great care and pride in their work. They provided a fair and very competitive bid and were able to schedule the work within my time frame. They arrived on time, removed the furniture, and masked off the surrounding cabinetry and walls before starting work. All the Travertine floors were deep-cleaned, sanded, polished, and sealed. Any holes were filled, and re-grouting was done where needed. One area where my desk chair had slid off the chair pad many times and cut a groove into the tile was filled so well with the perfectly matching color that you can't even tell the tile was ever damaged! That shows the expert work and knowledge of these professionals! I requested a shiny finish, and they did an amazing job. I think it looks BETTER than it did when it was first installed over 20 years ago! In addition to the floors, they also did the bathroom Travertine vanities, tub surround, and shower, repairing areas where there was some etching and doing re-grouting as needed. My Granite kitchen counters and island were also done . . . . actual MACHINE polished. They cleaned up and replaced all the furniture exactly where I wanted it. Before leaving, they went over everything to make sure I was happy with the work and even gave me some great tips on care and maintenance, which I appreciated. Wow! I rarely write reviews and had to share about my experience about cleaning our Travertine Floors. First, Ceaser and his team came immediately to give a very reasonable estimate. We had a quote from another company that was 3x as much for the same work. We even got our floors cleaned sooner than anticipated! Ceaser and the gentleman helping him were extremely professional! They moved furniture, were very kind and did a top notch job. Ceaser also did a great job explaining the different options we had for shine vs matte. We went with shine. The best part... our floors! I would like to respond to Betty as I have never spoken with you and there are many inaccuracies in your response. 1. I did not distinguish between filling small and large holes when Ceasar came to bid the restoration. I requested all the holes be filled during the bidding process and did not add anything after the bid. Caesar didn't bring up any issues with filling the holes or that some of the holes would require different techniques and cost more. I am restoring a stone floor for the first time and I am not a floor restoration professional, so for you to say, I should have known this is not correct. Caesar should have told me this during the bidding process, not used as an excuse for not filling all the holes. 2. I never requested a statin finish. Ceasar kept telling me, "HE" thought I should get a statin finish and I repeatedly told him I needed to see a sample of it before I could make a decision. After seeing a sample, I told him I did not want the satin finish he kept pushing on me and wanted it polished. I never said I was an older person and didn't want the floor to feel slippery. I'm only in my 50's, so if Caesar thinks I'm older, then that is his opinion, not mine. 3. You did not fill 100% of my holes as you stated. You were not there, so I don't know how you can make that statement. I walked around with Ceasar and showed him approx 16-20 tiles that still had holes of various sizes and only one of them had a previous patch, so not all of the remaining holes required "breaking open and refilling". There were many holes that he could have tried to fill with the Traverfill, but he told me it was 3 pm and he was tired and would have to come back a different day and charge me extra. It's not my fault he didn't bid enough time to finish the job. 4. I was never given the bid of $400 to come back and finish the floor. This is the first time I am hearing of it. read more
