Atlas New World Bistro was quiet when I went, but they really delivered on brunch--eggs benedict with ham and spinach. Perfectly poached eggs with tangy hollandaise. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern and the service is warm and attentive. Thanks for the speedy service! - AT

The service here is wonderful. I ate here for dinner and breakfast and loved the food. Quaint atmosphere with a nice vibe. Dinner was my favorite meal and was able to order off a preset menu. I really liked the service, it was one waiter/bar tender for dinner but he did an amazing job keeping up with the rush. Breakfast was good too and went with the standard Roslyn Breakfast. A little pricy but If in the area, or staying at The Roslyn Hotel, I would recommend grabbing a bite to eat here.

This little restaurant at the bottom floor of the hotel was super cute and clean. The food was pretty decent and had a good selection of breakfast food. The staff was friendly too and the music was good. It is a hotel restaurant so food is priced as so, but it's worth a stop if you value a balance of good quality food and convenience.

Good size omelette and tasty. The home fries are delicious! Like tator tots style. This is in the hotel also.

Atlas Bistro is a hidden gem! We came for the first time for restaurant week dinner and will certainly be regulars. We tried the Indian dishes and they were all bursting with flavors, super authentic rivaling the fancier joints nearby. Waiter Abdul had the best recommendations and service. We loved the Amritsari salmon app which is like fish and chips but with a lot more flavor. I almost licked the sauce of the murgh chicken and my husband loved his butter chicken pizza. Best part is they have a diverse menu of non- Indian food which satisfied my kids. The Mac and cheese and wagyu smash were delicious! Don't be turned off by how sleepy it is. It's definitely worth it

I ate here twice in the past few weeks as I had a nearby appointment. If you go during the week, you'll be greeted by Sam, one of the most personable and professional bartenders around. She's a wonderful conversationalist and is very attentive to guests. The steak and eggs were just what I needed, accompanied by the mimosa kit. The quesadilla is huge and very filling. All in all a solid brunch spot.

Overcooked scotch egg, which should never have been on the menu

Came here for Mother's Day. my wife thought that it was both a prefix and à la cart menu as that's what it said on OpenTable. We were wrong about that. It was a prefix menu that was a bit eclectic, things didn't really match. If there was a vision it was just off. We waited about five minutes for menus. After we got them we did our best to make orders off of such a weird prefix menu. I got the scotch egg, mushroom ravioli, and lava cake. The scotch egg was totally wrong. Sent it back didn't want anything else as it was a hard boiled egg wrapped in overcooked burnt lamb. It was got awful. If you can't make a scotch egg don't put it on the menu. I had the mushroom ravioli, a total mistake, you don't pair Caponata with mushroom ravioli it just didn't work. The lava cake was fine. My son's Sundae was fine. I gave a 20% tip and we basically paid $162 for a lame meal. never going back this place again, there is plenty of better restaurants to go to and this place was a total miss. That said the restaurant was clean the people were nice. The tables were nice but the menu is off. they need to replace the entire kitchen. They also need to retrain both the kitchen and the wait staff. I feel like the managers never worked at a restaurant before because this place was just a bunch of people looking around for something to do with no idea what to do. .

Food and service were exceptional. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The waiter was extremely attentive and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was modern and relaxing. Will dine here again durning my next visit to Roslyn.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

The place is quite spacious upon walking in - a bar area when you walk in, a larger dining area as you walk further in past the stairs, another bar and dining area upstairs, a private room upstairs, and an outdoor patio. For appetizer, I tried the crispy sushi and it was delicious! There are 4 pieces of different fish served on top of a crispy rice. My colleague got the burrata and it smelled/looked amazing as well! For entree, I got the burger which was perfectly cooked but did not have any seasoning so be sure to add some sauce of your liking. It did come with fries that were beautifully fried and seasoned. For dessert, I got the cookie sampler which came with 2 of 5 different cookies - chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, sugar, sesame, and chocolate. The cookies were fresh and they came out warm and soft. My favorites in this order are oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and chocolate. Everyone else got the cheesecake with whip cream or chocolate cake with Ice-Cream. The cake slices were pretty big and heavy. Very nice ambiance and our server was attentive/helpful! Will definitely be back to the more things on the menu.

The first thing that surprised me was how packed the restaurant was on a Monday night. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of the food and service. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout the evening. Everything we ordered was excellent. The tuna appetizer was incredibly fresh, the crab cake was packed with flavor, and the short rib was fall apart tender and cooked to perfection. We also shared a pizza that disappeared quickly from the table because it was just that good. The cocktails were well made, and even dessert was a standout, the perfect ending to a birthday dinner. The atmosphere strikes a great balance between upscale and comfortable, making it ideal for date nights, celebrations, or simply a great dinner out. It's not often that a restaurant excels across appetizers, entrées, drinks, and dessert, but Hendrick's Tavern manages to do exactly that. If you're considering a visit, make a reservation, even on a weekday. A packed Monday night tells you everything you need to know.

As promised last time, we thought we might even return for an unknown (to us) act. Tonight it was Cantor Talya Smilowitz (Julliard trained, mother, cantor and nightclub singer). Our friends had seen her singing at a Long Island temple. I'm neither an opera nor temple song fan, but Talya was just great! She concentrated mostly on Carol King and Joni Mitchell songs, but threw in some songs from bygone eras, like "Someone to Watch Over Me" (Ella Fitzgerald singing Gershwin) and other diva ballads of more recent vintage. After I got home, I checked her out on YouTube and she does a great job on Mariah Carey's "I'll Be There." She had a guest Cantor for a few songs, "Melissa Berman," and was accompanied on guitars by Stuart Markus from Gathering time (the act we saw last year) and an electric piano player who seemed to be able to play any song that ever was popular. The food was different in that there were some Indian dish choices, but we enjoyed it. It's nice to be able to have dinner and/or drinks while watching a live show with an audience of maybe eighty. The tickets were $53 each ($20 more than last year). There was no WiFi unless you had a room number, so you had to go outside to get Internet. The atmosphere is much nicer than the original "My Father's Place" (1970s-1980's) and I believe the original owner still runs the show.
