Besito is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants on Long Island. It is a rather noisy and packed space for dinner but the food makes up for it! Never skip the guac, it's absolutely amazing and so delicious. My favorites are the quesa-birria and the iron skillet mixtos. The birria tacos were so flavorful and perfect with the green salsa and dip. The cheese and meats were really delicious for the iron skillet and made the perfect fajitas. We also get the chicken enchiladas this time as well which were also very yummy. We got their gelato bowl to split after which had pistachio, dulce de leche, and dark chocolate scoops and they were amazing. Really wow'ed by the pistachio flavor and the dark chocolate was so rich. Overall, I love this restaurant and the fun worry dolls they share with you after. So glad they have two locations now. read more

It saddens me to write this as we have been huge fans of Besito with regular visits for many years. They again changed their menu again eliminating both of our favorite entrees. We have been told by staff that they are both popular and regularly requested. Perhaps they are consolidating menu items to save on expenses, but they've lost a regular customer. To add insult to injury, today's mahi mahi was overcooked and at least 1/3 was inedible 'dark meat.' Tried to find something else, but the kitchen made the decision for us. We're done. read more

I love Besito. It has a really cool vibe, great ambiance, very clean, the food is good and the service excellent great. Somehow I manage to make my way here whenever I'm in the area. Every time I've gone it's usually pretty crowded but I've never had a long wait. It seems to be a very popular spot in and area and for good reason. Been a long time since I reviewed Besito so it felt like a good time to confirm that it remains as good as ever! overall i do like this restaurant. i've been a couple times and the food is usually pretty good. i will say the last time i was there the chips and guac were lacking some flavor/seasoning, and my hibiscus drink could've been a little bit sweeter (but that's more of a personal preference). the birria tacos were pretty good and i would get those again. the restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff are all really nice! read more

This is a great restaurant for groups and celebrations. It's spacious and clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I came with others as a group of 14 people with young children as well. The restaurant was accommodating. The chips and salsa at the table are addicting and fresh. The salsa has a nice fire wood taste as well as not too salty. I ordered the mixtos iron skillet which had sausage, steak, and chicken. It was flavorful. At first I thought it looked small but as I kept eating it, it was filling. It came with authentic tortillas and rice and beans. It was a great flavor combination. There's also cheese at the bottom of the skillet. Ambiance (5/5): There was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating during peak hours on a Saturday evening. The space is large and there were regular tables and we sat in a comfy large booth for our party of 5. The music and background noise was not too loud that we heard each other with no problems. Service (5/5): We were serviced quickly and often. Staff was helpful and friendly. Guac (4/5): The single portion seemed like plenty for us to enjoy and we had a free refill of the chips as well. Great upscale Mexican restaurant in Roslyn! We loved the overall feel, cleanliness of the restaurant, the service and food here. I ordered the crispy shrimp tacos that had just the right amount of taste and texture. The main entree that I got was the ribs which were not truly fall off the bone and a bit too strongly flavored. Went to lunch with a girlfriend and had a great experience. We wanted to order the tortilla soup and asked if there was any way we could share it, assuming they'd just bring one bowl and we'd split it ourselves. Our server, Geraldin S., surprised us by bringing it out already divided into two bowls, which was incredibly thoughtful and unexpected. The tortilla soup was delicious--everything about it was spot on. We also ordered a potato bowl, and between that, the soup, and the chips with salsa, we were completely full. We ended up taking the salad home, which Geraldine kindly packed into two separate containers for us. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Appearance is very nice but the music is louder than allows for easy conversation unless you are right next to someone. Food: 3 stars. Guacamole lacked flavor. Besito's is a gem. We sometimes go to Long Island just to eat there (for real)! And we definitely hit up Besito's for all of our planned trips to LI. Below are some tidbits that might help you figure out what to order. Drinks: All of their specialty margaritas are super yummy. Get one of those but also get their house frozen margarita, which features pomegranate. So tasty! Apps: Ahead of your meal, you will receive complementary chips and salsa, which, of course, are tasty. But also get the Seafood Taquitos. You will not regret this. The sauce is utterly mouthwatering. Entrées: The Carne Asada Skillet Tacos are ALL THAT! You will thank me. Also tasty are the ribs (and they fall off the bone). As for atmosphere, this is more of an upscale Mexican restaurant, which you will see as you walk through the dining room (cloth tablecloths, well-dressed clientele)... but all three times we've visited Besito's, we have sat at the bar, which is more casual. We love chatting with other patrons and the friendly bartenders. Check out this place if you are in the areas. You are sure to be pleased! read more

17 for a margarita is insane. When this place first opened , it was a lot more reasonable . Guac was delicious but very oniony. I only ate a little of my entree because I got full so I asked them to wrap it up and to include the birria broth and green sauce it came with (which are the best parts) and sadly, when I got home - those were not included . Also they tried to clear our plates away many times , and on a Saturday night , we wanted to take our time . I hate being rushed along. I did like the atmosphere of the fun Spanish music in the background. read more

Nice place, cool vibes, yummy drinks, attentive bartenders, food was good, but a bit pricey for the quality.

We and our family and friends will not be returning to Besito since they eliminated Filet Des Res in its original formulation from their menu. This was the best entre' on their menu. We used to travel from the South Shore to the Roslyn Besito on the North Shore; however, no more!!! What a shame for you and us. Roslyn location is spacious and welcoming. Clean and trendy look. Lots of parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was great we had the guacamole and filet with salad. Although covered by table cloths some of the tables we noticed were old and crappy probably time to get those replace def not something customers should see. I went with friends to Besito earlier tonight. I really enjoyed the margarita and my friends enjoyed theirs too. For apps we ordered the sweet plantains and street corn - both were very tasty. I ordered the veggie quesadilla for my main meal. It was packed with veggies and cheese. I liked it and it was definitely enough food to fill me up. The service was good. It seems we had a few staff members waiting on our table and they were all very attentive. The restaurant was pretty packed so a reservation is encouraged. We have gone to besito in Roslyn several times and I can tell you that every time I go the experience is always good. The food, drinks and service are the reasons that always make me come back. I recommend to try their guac is really good. Arrechera is one of my favorite entrees 100% recommended if you love steak. Our server was kind and attentive. This is a fun spot for drinks and chips and guac, and we appreciated being able to customize our guac to not include tomato. But for dinner, it's an overpriced underwhelming restaurant. As you can see in the pictures, the carne asada tacos came with very little steak for $35. The tequila shrimp were good, especially with the pineapple in the sauce, but again, a very small portion for the price. The watermelon mocktail was very good.
