Dark beer flight!
Ruth S.

Do you know how hard it is to get a full flight of good dark beers in a world full of IPAs? This might actually be the first time I've ever succeeded in such a thing. And they were all pretty great. The bbq pizza, which sounds like a very average thing to have in a bar, was also amazing. If you don't like crispy cracker crust, it's not going to bring you joy. But if you do, the sauce on it was so good, we asked if they sold bottles of it. (They don't. We were sad.) Parking is a medium challenge, but we were there fairly early on a Friday and easily got a parking meter spot, which was just a few dollars. No big.

southern belly burger with fries

This place has gotta be a local's haunt--we had such a good time here on our first visit, we came back the next night! The food fare is what you'd expect from a pub but with a bit of a twist in that they had some different eastern-influenced menu items that caught our eyes. Eventually, we all ended up going for burgers, tacos, and a few apps. I got the southern belly burger with pimento cheese and it was GREAT. The burger was flavorful, the toppings held together, and it wasn't too messy. The fries were also very delicious, especially because they were HOT when they came out, which isn't always the case nowadays (props to the chef!). We also got the deconstructed hash as an app and it disappeared within a few seconds because it was so good. All of that paired with a really unique atmosphere inside and a STELLAR backporch with games and live tunes, and we were sold both times. I can't wait to get back here anytime I'm in Myrtle--a must stop on my list!

I must be honest we did not love this place. I'm not a fan of places where you have to pay to park. Upon arriving in the parking lot my husband entered the building to find that the guy next to him had had a boot placed on his car for parking outside the restaurant. There are signs and it was totally that guys fault however if you run a business parking should be free in my opinion. We ordered to go and they had run out of lids to cups. The food took a while to cook and while waiting we observed that there was a group of song writers who were having a good time. The food was not great. The didn't give me ketchup with my fries and my panini was TINY! My husband ordered tacos and they serviced him mini tacos. We did not enjoy the beignets either. Definitely would not recommend or return here. Maybe it was an off day and we were just visiting the area but we didn't have a great time.

Great atmosphere great prices great food and it was quick to be made. The inside is very cool and unique looking also the outback venue with tons of games and a live band. Already been here twice because it was such a vibe. I ordered the brisket tacos which are amazing probably my favorite thing on the menu $10 and the wings or $10 for a ten piece. Great value and portions. 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend

Two shots of Patron. We dropped the limes in them

Went here while in town on vacation and had so much fun! Chill environment, nice shots, and good music. Everyone was friendly. Our bartenders "Girl Devin" and "Boy Devin" (they named them that to differ their names at the bar lol) were so cool, funny and fun! Great conversation with the locals and our bartenders. We came too late for food and the kitchen was closed but the vibe was right so we stayed. Parking is on the street and we paid using the online mobile parking website listed on the meters. So easy! Definitely going back when we're in town!

Great place if you like room full of 25 year old kids bumping into each other. No hostess, distracted bartender.

Great spot with great beer and food. Gets crowded but never any drama. Sad that they did away with their annual beer fest.

My husband and I were starving and saw an ad while picking up our car. I didn't even know that this was on the other direction but it was nearby so we stopped and had some food. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. I had a spritz of sorts and my husband had a beer. I ordered fish and chips and it was delicious. The fish batter was very flavorful and the fish was huge and seasoned well. The chips (aka fries) were also well seasoned. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich as well. The restaurant had several tables inside. They keep everything clean and organized but the menus were slightly sticky. Could be the fact that they serve beer. Still, the experience was great and we left happy with full bellies.

Although It took a minute to adjust to the menus and seating/delivery system (no servers), we soon realized it works like a well oiled machine. Run, don't walk to try this one! You can probably guess which one I took home from the to-go cooler! My husband got a dessert coffe cake a well. Nick is an absolute legend!…read more We came to Portofino not knowing what to expect, and we left completely blown away -- and honestly, a huge part of that was our waiter, Nick. This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!
