The drinks were easily the highlight of our visit--well-crafted, balanced, and clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. While presentation was decent, the flavors were underwhelming and portions felt average for the price. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out or made us want to order it again. Don't do it. My family went here at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. The place was empty and that was our first sign. There was no A/C, but there were several fans blowing hot air around. The waitress was kind and we ordered chicken tenders with waffle fries, chicken tacos, and a Thai chicken pizza. The chicken tacos had chewy chicken, they didn't have waffle fries, I couldn't bite through them one of the chicken tenders it was so rubbery, and the pizza came without cilantro and scallions as described on the menu. If you just want craft beer, this is your place. Good prices and good selection, but the food is lacking. read more

Do you know how hard it is to get a full flight of good dark beers in a world full of IPAs? This might actually be the first time I've ever succeeded in such a thing. And they were all pretty great. The bbq pizza, which sounds like a very average thing to have in a bar, was also amazing. If you don't like crispy cracker crust, it's not going to bring you joy. But if you do, the sauce on it was so good, we asked if they sold bottles of it. (They don't. We were sad.) Parking is a medium challenge, but we were there fairly early on a Friday and easily got a parking meter spot, which was just a few dollars. No big. read more

This place has gotta be a local's haunt--we had such a good time here on our first visit, we came back the next night! The food fare is what you'd expect from a pub but with a bit of a twist in that they had some different eastern-influenced menu items that caught our eyes. Eventually, we all ended up going for burgers, tacos, and a few apps. I got the southern belly burger with pimento cheese and it was GREAT. The burger was flavorful, the toppings held together, and it wasn't too messy. The fries were also very delicious, especially because they were HOT when they came out, which isn't always the case nowadays (props to the chef!). We also got the deconstructed hash as an app and it disappeared within a few seconds because it was so good. All of that paired with a really unique atmosphere inside and a STELLAR backporch with games and live tunes, and we were sold both times. Upon entering the Atlas Tap House I was hit with this funky smell. It was like stale cigarette smoke but no one was smoking. Not very nice. Four of us came to eat and drink so we sat on soft chairs in the lounge area. Their tap selection is very good and they carry many different types of bottled beer. I ordered a "So Dirty" imperial IPA from New South. Their beers are genuinely good and this was fresh and flavorful. I ended up ordering a Cuban Panini that would have been good if it wasn't room temperature. The waffle fries were good and they were hot, go figure. My wife had the margherita panini but did not like that. Our waitress was also the bartender (we went early.) She was running all over the place but she managed to serve the bar and tables pretty well. Their prices are reasonable here; beer and food. They also have a pretty cool bar. I must be honest we did not love this place. I'm not a fan of places where you have to pay to park. Upon arriving in the parking lot my husband entered the building to find that the guy next to him had had a boot placed on his car for parking outside the restaurant. There are signs and it was totally that guys fault however if you run a business parking should be free in my opinion. We ordered to go and they had run out of lids to cups. The food took a while to cook and while waiting we observed that there was a group of song writers who were having a good time. The food was not great. The didn't give me ketchup with my fries and my panini was TINY! My husband ordered tacos and they serviced him mini tacos. We did not enjoy the beignets either. Definitely would not recommend or return here. Maybe it was an off day and we were just visiting the area but we didn't have a great time. read more

Went here while in town on vacation and had so much fun! Chill environment, nice shots, and good music. Everyone was friendly. Our bartenders "Girl Devin" and "Boy Devin" (they named them that to differ their names at the bar lol) were so cool, funny and fun! Great conversation with the locals and our bartenders. We came too late for food and the kitchen was closed but the vibe was right so we stayed. Parking is on the street and we paid using the online mobile parking website listed on the meters. So easy! It felt a little stuffy (in July) when we were there and there were a surprising amount of younger kids, but we still had a great time. The beer menu is quite extensive. First of all, Chaz Michael Michaels IS figure skating! Second of all, Atlas Taphouse is the greatest bar in the world. Ever seen "Cheers"? Aaron is Sam Malone but way better looking. The service is next level, I think they train the bar staff at a fancy French school or something. I've never felt like a stranger when I walk into that place. The patio is amazing and a great place to hang out with some friends. Great spot to listen to live music or play cornhole amongst other fun games. There's always something fun and new going on at Atlas. Finally, the food is outstanding. Tacos, burgers, bbq, wings or something from their weekend brunch menu. I'll never grow tired of this place. For those of you who don't know me, I am a beer enthusiast. I am also a little bit OCD. Whenever I go to any restaurant or bar, I look for beers to try. I almost never drink the same beer twice anymore, unless I really liked it, and can't get something new. While in Myrtle Beach for a college basketball tournament, I went to eat breakfast with the family. As we left, we saw a Piggly Wiggly across the street and decided to drop in and get a few things. I bought myself a six pack of beer to have at the condo. When I was checking out, a lady who works there asked, "Would this be considered a craft beer?" I told her it was. She followed up with, "Do you like craft beer?" I told her that was pretty much all I drank. She proceeded to tell me about a place called the Atlas Tap House that had lots of craft beers and was her boyfriend's favorite place. I thanked her profusely and made up my mind I was going. The next day, the Valparaiso University team did not have a game. Since we were only there to watch them, I decided to take a Lyft over to try this place out. I had been warned by the Piggly Wiggly that it was kind of a dive bar. I didn't get that vibe. It was a very cool place with the charm of an old home. My wife and I were the only people there until just before we left. We sat at the bar and the server, Steff, took great care of us. She acted like I was her best beer drinking buddy. I tried about six different beers (5 ouncers). They were all great. But, what made it more fun was the way Steff said, "You have to try my favorite...", and opened a can for me taste in a little plastic cup. Then she drank the rest. We had a wonderful conversation. She was really excited about heading home later to visit her mother in New Jersey for Thanksgiving. I was disappointed because I had made up my mind that I was coming back the next day to try some more beers after the last game of the tournament. She told me not to worry because another server, Brittany, was going to be there and would take care of us. My wife didn't want to go back with me. She doesn't drink beer, and felt like spending time alone at the condo with her sister. My awesome niece went with me instead. There were a lot more people there, so we sat at a table over in a corner instead of at the bar. Brittany came over to us immediately. I asked her if I could write on the beer list. When she said I could, I asked for a pencil. That way I could check off the ones I wanted and the ones I had already had. I ordered three five ounce sized beers to start. Brittany served them to me with a pink post it note to show me which was which. All together, I tried 11 beers that were new to me. (Remember, I was not driving!) The whole time, my niece and I were having a great conversation. Brittany came over to us a bunch of times to check on us. She was every bit as friendly as Steff. I like the place. I love that they have so many craft beers that aren't available in San Antonio. But, what makes the place a great one are the servers. Thanks Steff and Brittany for making it a memorable experience. DO NOT waste your time or money at this place. The rudest bartenders in all of Myrtle Beach. On a slow Monday night around 10pm the bar tender told our party of 2 that he was no longer serving (even though they are open until 2am) and then served another group of people that walked in 5 minutes later. When I asked why they could be served but we couldn't I was told it was because they were "locals" and then was called a C**T by the bartender when I told him that seemed really unfair. There are so many amazing and nice bars and restaurants in Myrtle Beach to spend your money at, and with staff that actually want to make money by treating their customers well. You couldn't pay me to walk into this trashy place ever again. read more

I didn't personally have anything but my husband did. I was considering eating here but to be honest when you walk in it smelled like cat urine and mildew in my opinion. The air conditioning didn't work properly either so that didn't help the smell. The beer selection was nice and bartenders typical. Not super friendly but they did get his beers he ordered. I had to sit out side because the smell was getting to me. Family ordered takeout because they were one of few places with real food (that wasn't pizza) open at 10pm within walking distance of our hotel (whose own restaurant closes at 9:30 wtf). Cuban was excellent. Swiss mushroom was excellent. Fries are a cross between Chick-Fil-A waffle fries and Arby's. Daughter loved their mini corndogs. All around a good meal for a decent price. Came to Myrtle Beach to visit in off season (late November). We were searching for somewhere to eat lunch that had a unique atmosphere. Yelp reviews pointed us here. Our server/hostess/bartender made it seem like we were inconveniencing her by interrupting her conversation at the bar with her friends. They were talking loudly and openly about getting wasted the night prior. HAHA. Okay, we are young so that didn't really bother us until we noticed the restaurant filling up with other people (some of which were older) and the conversation not only continued but got louder. Besides that, the food was subpar. I would not recommend ordering anything off the food menu. Stick to drinks. But not the Bloody Mary, it was watered down and week. First time in Myrtle beach, I always look for local small places to eat. I was very intrigued with the look of the place along with the reviews seemed to be really positive. Pros: Guy behind the bar was super friendly, made each customer feel seen, which is very important in a bar, I can't tell you how many places I've been where it takes 20 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge your existence. The beer selection is huge which is also a very big plus for me. Great atmosphere with a cool patio out back. Definitely the place I'd come for drinks if I come back with friends Cons: with all the beers they have on tap which got me really excited, the beer was served warm, and on a 85 degree night I was really looking for a ice cold beer, it also seemed a little flat, it is possible the beer had been poured before I arrived, I'm hoping that was the case but from where I was sitting I couldn't really see the taps. The food was really a let down. The waffle fries were the highlight, but we ordered the deconstructed hash appetizer which came out looking very unappealing globs of cheese and what tasted like boiled meat. On top of waffle fries which we picked out. My wife got the hangover burger which looked great when it was served with a pile of more waffle fries. Unfortunately the burger was very bland and we also noticed after the fact she wasn't asked how she wanted it cooked so it arrived well done. My Cuban panini sandwich was soo close to being good, it unfortunately had the boiled meat on it too which ruined it for me. Neither of us finished more than half of the sandwich but we split the fries. Really wanted the food to be great. Went out with family for a meal and a couple of beers. Was very specific when ordering that two of us are sensitive to cheese and did not want it on our orders. (A burger and a panini). When the orders arrived both had cheese on them. We told the waitress about the mistake and sent them back. They came out again the burger had clearly had the cheese scraped off (mostly anyway). This kind of shoddy service could get someone with allergies a trip to the hospital. I sent the burger back again and told them not to bring me anything else as at this point I didn't trust them to do anything safely.
