We booked our tickets online and arrived around 2:00 PM. The museum is full of history regarding the atomic age in general, as well as Nevada's specific role. We found it very interesting.

Love the discount for locals thank you! Always been a nerd for anything regarding the hidden universe and this place unpacks a lot of the atomic world with such fun exhibits. The staff were very polite and helpful. The simulator was fun and not too scary definitely would heed the warning if you are sensitive to lights, sounds and effects. My favorite was the Manhattan Project room. So heavy and impactful but teaching valuable lessons about history. I will be bringing the rest of my family here very soon!

A must see if in LV. History of research done locally and nationally. Offer senior and military discount.

Visited the atomic museum for the first time today. Went with 2 teenage girls who enjoyed the exhibits. We spent about an hour and half here an enjoyed reading about the history. The atomic film was immersive. Some cool stuff to see in the gift shop as well.

Wow you need to come and find this place of pure atomic history. Exhibits are amazing . Don't miss the ground zero theater!!! You go through the museum store so much more to see follow the rails.

Been wanting to come here for awhile now. My brother was in town visiting with his wife and brought up checking it out. We were worried it might not be open because of the government shutdown. But it was. Pricing is reasonable and it took us about 2 hours to finish the tour. Lot of information I didnt know about the test site and really learned the difference between fission and fusion. My dad and I are ww2 history buffs, so I took to the Manhattan project area. Learned more about the inner workings of how the bomb made it to be dropped on Japan and the size of one of the bombs. Place was clean, easy access with free parking.

If you love historical and science museums, this is for you. If you don't like reading and find it a big bore, reconsider as you may waste your $29 bucks. My husband and I love going to places that give us bits and pieces of additional knowledge, so we find joy in going to places like this. And we love to read. The museum laid out their exhibit so well that it was easy to understand their story - the tale of America's nuclear weapons testing program at the Nevada Test Site (never really delved into this before) and the world's reaction to it. Truly interesting...and yes, fun. Kudos to the museum organizers for managing to make if fun despite the gloomy topic. :) Worth every cent of the entrance fee and totally recommendable.

This was pretty cool. Very educational for the kids and myself. We enjoyed the fallout exhibit and the show they have in the little theater. I would suggest waiting for it.

The Atomic Museum was such a fun and fascinating experience! It offers a great mix of history, science, and interactive exhibits that really bring the story of nuclear testing and the Atomic Age to life. From the moment you walk in, you're immersed in a timeline of events that shaped not just Nevada, but world history. It's perfect for anyone who loves learning about science, military history, or Cold War culture. A really great perk for UNLV students is that admission is free on Wednesdays with a valid student ID! That makes it an awesome mid-week activity if you're looking to do something different without spending any money. I went with friends and we were all surprised by how much there was to explore--from old film reels and bomb models to virtual reality experiences. If you're not a student, I definitely recommend checking Groupon before going. I found a deal for two tickets for just $40, which was such a steal considering how much there is to see inside. The museum is very clean and well-organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. They even had a gift shop with cool atomic-themed merch and souvenirs. Overall, I'd say the Atomic Museum is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. It's educational, entertaining, and really eye-opening. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's worth spending a couple of hours here. I left feeling like I learned something new and had a great time doing it. Would definitely go again!

This was a great museum, exploring Nevadas close contribution and connection to Atomic and Nuclear development/history. Some thoughtful details include chronological timelines, that not only show testing and development, but comparatively cultural (pop) events, to provide perspective as to what else was going on in the world at the time. There's some interactive displays, and even a short nuclear blast testing simulation, running every so many minutes. If you're really into this type of history, you could easily spend 1-2 hours going through it all.

If the movie Oppenheimer whet your appetite for the atomic age, then you've got to check out the Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, which takes you straight into the heart of America's nuclear history. It's not all doom and gloom though--there's also quirky pop culture, vintage PSAs, and even artifacts from Area 51. General admission is around $24 bucks, and the museum is open daily except Sundays. For a blast from the past that's both eye-opening and unforgettable, the Atomic Testing Museum is must-see in Vegas.

Some of the staff were very friendly. Some of the staff were very knowledgeable. the exhibit themselves were extremely informative. The latest addition to the atomic museum displays the prototype of the first atomic bomb. As well as the two bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those two atomic bombs were referred to as "little boy" and "fat man". After the two bombs were dropped that act subsequently led to the immediate surrender of Japan and the end of World War II.

This is a Vegas treasure! If you haven't been there, it's a must visit of Vegas history that is unknown to most people. I learned so much about the history of the atomic bomb in both Nevada and internationally. Their new interactive exhibit provides great bite size chunks of learning for even the littlest of learners. Make sure to not skip out on the film either.

Is there currently an exhibit on Area 51?

Yes, there's a huge exhibit, theater and photo ops all dedicated to Area 51. It's to the left of the main ticket admission. Plus if you exit they the gift shop, there's even more options to take home with you. 👽

How interactive is this for kids? My kid loves museums so I'd look into an annual pass, but want to make sure she could get her times worth.

It happened to fall under the same weekend as the BTS world tour so there were a lot of BTS related artwork when we went. We got tickets online for admission at around 6:00 pm. Once we got inside there was a restroom available at the start. The staff gave us a little flyer that had a list of the artwork for us to reference. The artwork itself has a lot of similar concepts as to many TeamLabs that I've been to in Japan. Near the end was where much of the BTS artwork was at. There was also a specific room that was playing a few songs from their album at the time. This was one of my favorite rooms as I found a few songs that I liked; noteworthy that I did not listen to their album at all before coming here. Close to the end, there was also a cafe. For the ticket type we purchased, this was included in the experience. There were non-caffeinated options so that was nice. The strawberry drink was on the sweeter side. There were some light effects associated with the drinks; unfortunately they forgot to turn it on right away and it was also off center. There's also a neat little gift shop at the end. There was a lot of artwork related items and even BTS items at the time. I found a deck of cards with the artwork on it and knew I needed to grab one for a friend. American Express was accepted here. Overall, this was a really fun date experience. It took us roughly an hour to experience everything at a slower pace. I am convinced to explore the other Arte Museum locations

There is a free parking lot attached and as many will point out this is not in a great part of town so if you are visiting during the night it is best to be driven in and out versus walking in and out. They do not allow photography inside so I only have a few pictures from the beginning of the visit, but I would definitely recommend to anyone because it is a really fun experience and it is also very unique. As mentioned I don't believe in any of these things so it was even fun for a non-believer like myself. Overall, a really fun Vegas activity and I would recommend to anyone, and if you are a believer it is even more of a memorable experience I would imagine.

We have both been to Las Vegas many times, and we hadn't ever visited the Mob Museum. So we decided to visit this time. We enjoyed the experience overall and would certainly recommend it to others. When we arrived, we paid for parking and went inside to pay for the Mob Museum experience. We were prepared to walk around and read a lot of information about the mob. We were pleased to learn when we arrived that there would be a former member of the mob speaking upstairs in just a few minutes. We quickly went upstairs and found a seat. The speaker was Frank Calabrese, Jr., who worked with the FBI to bring down his crime family in Chicago. He told us his story first-hand while telling us about his book and sharing slides as he spoke. This first-hand account was a great way to kick off our visit! After the speaker, we headed up to the third floor and started looking through exhibits and worked our way floor by floor down to the first floor and eventually to the basement. On the third floor, we learned about the birth of the mob, the start of organized crime, the founding of Las Vegas, prohibition, the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, Al Capone, the FBI fighting back, how several mob leaders were taken down due to smaller violations, and how organized crime spread. On the second floor, we learned about the Kefauver Hearings, the historic courtroom that became the Mob Museum in Las Vegas, the Mob eyeing Las Vegas, skimming from the casinos, Las Vegas going straight, the Mob infiltrating the police, and the Mob's greatest hits. On the first floor, we learned about how the FBI took down the Mob (or some of them), various stories about mob leaders, organized crime today (yes, the mob still exists!), use of force by the police, and the mob in popular culture. We also visited the Global Networks Touch Wall, the gift shop, and the Underground (speakeasy in the basement). While we didn't pay the extra fee to use them, there are interactive exhibit options for a Crime Lab, Firearm Training Simulator, and Distillery Tasting. The general admission cost is $34.95 per person to access exhibits without a discount. For an extra $15, you get access to exhibits and one interactive exhibit. For $5 more than that, you get access to exhibits and two interactive exhibits. There are discounts available to Nevada residents, students, law enforcement and military. You can also get tickets before 11 AM or after 5 PM to receive $7 off admission plus 20% off coupons on the internet. The Mob Museum is typically open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM. The Underground speakeasy and distillery is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to Midnight. You should give yourself 1-3 hours to experience the museum. Definitely check out the Mob Museum at some point while you're in Las Vegas! Worth a visit!

What a cool way to spend some time doing something different…read more Initially we were gonna head to Museum of Illusions. Then, looking outta our window- I saw Paradox Museum! Quick search on Yelp & Google, and knew this was gonna be THE spot. With down time finally in our favor, we stopped by on a Monday afternoon. Took the elevator up and paid at the register. I asked if cash and/ or card are accepted, but it's card only. There are complimentary lockers available before walking into the museum. Watch the quick 2 minute video and away you go. Next to every display or immersive exhibit, you can read what is happening. And why you are experiencing this special effect. It's a great flow of exhibits. And if one particular area is crowded, you can continue on exploring. And return back to the previous one. Staff is so friendly with photo opportunity suggestions. * Restrooms are located near the slot machine/ pole dance area! There are WARNING signs if you have sensitivity to flashing/ strobing lights. Some rooms can be a bit darker while throughout the museum is well lit. The optical illusion to some of the exhibits can cause dizziness. Even the graphic geometric patterns you'll see throughout. Very budget friendly. And from a previous review I read on Yelp, you can also find discounts directly on their website. You'll exit at the gift sho

My sister and I had a blast exploring the exhibits--and thanks to the super helpful staff, we snapped some seriously cool photos along the way. Some of the illusions still have me scratching my head, and I love that. Hands down, this was one of the most fun and fascinating museums I've ever visited. Highly recommend!

I have always wanted to visit the Museum of Selfies…read more I had a friend in town and we wanted to do something fun. We decided to check out Museum of Selfies. It's at the Linq promenade and we were able to park at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino (first 3 hrs free for NV locals). It was a short walk into the promenade and we were able to successfully locate the museum. Upon entrance you are greeted by an employee. You are then notified that you have to sign a waiver. Once the waiver is signed, you're able to go into the experience. This museum is so much fun! I really enjoyed it. The music was very catchy. The props and displays were so cute! They had many different set ups that you can take a selfie/picture with. I love taking pictures, so this was a perfect place for me! It wasn't so busy when we went so we didn't really have to wait to take a picture. It is kind of a small experience. Besides that, I think it was worth going. 5/5 stars, I will definitely enjoy going again.

If you like taking pictures and just take this experience for what it is , you'll enjoy it . We paid around $24 with a Groupon. We spent over an hour each taking turns taking pictures. Some of the gags are dirty and as many people use them but whatever . We had fun! We wouldn't do it again .. unless the selfie drops changed as you don't really need to do it more than once. I'd suggest looking at the vids or their insta so you get an idea of how to create the visual illusion. Note - no selfie sticks or ring lights provided . Your friends take your pictures. I believe you can rent a selfie stick for 6-9 bucks , not sure.
