I am so happy I waited to get my lip pierced to get it done here. My sisters friend recommended the location, and even though it's a bit of a farther Atomic than others, I'm so glad I decided to come here. I had a walk in vertical labret piercing done by John Tucci and he was great. It was honestly the easiest piercing i've ever had. Extremely rude. As soon as we walked in, we asked "hey can we get a price for a tattoo" and one of them repeated what I said to the tattoo artist making fun of us and laughing. And the tattoo artist over priced the tattoo A LOT. He wanted to charge $80 dollars for each tattoo (a letter) like the size of a quarter. And they attended us without masks. read more

I only go to atomic tattoos specifically in Sandlake for Tess. She's an amazing and gentle artist who puts a lot of consideration into the work she does. The prices are a bit high, but we are in a pandemic and you get what you pay for and shes the only person I trust with my skin. I've gotten two tattoos with her so far and they never hurt and have healed awesomely. Her IG is Tessiaelise! I got my tattoo done here as a drop-in. The tattoo came out okay, but there are a few things I wish my artist (whom I don't remember the name of) had discussed with me before he started. Such as the outline - yes I wanted one, but he never said it would be orange so I assumed it would be black until I looked on my foot while he was tattooing it. He also should have put a bit more color on the leaves of my cherry blossoms, but other than that the experience was fine. I wouldn't mind going back, but I would definetly get tattooed by Curtis Aldrich next time. His work is great. I would also be sure to know every detail of every colorplacement in the tattoo. I don't mind the orange outline, I just wish I'd known about it beforehand. read more

I received 2 tattoos from Atomic Tattoos in the past 2 months. My entire experience (I.e., shop, artist) was great for both of them. I worked with Josh who showed a lot of patience with me as we discussed my first tattoo. He gave great feedback as we moved towards something that I was comfortable with. Due to this experience and the great work he did (his line work is awesome!), I decided to get a second one from him. I sent in some ideas asking him to meld a few different styles of a Scott Pilgrim image I like and he did an awesome job with it. I would definitely recommend this shop and Josh. The customer service is worse than McDonalds. My bf and I came in and no one acknowledged us, employees were walking right past us to go on cigarette breaks and no one even greeted us. I scheduled an appointment 5 days ahead. When I walked in today Huyner / Wener (tattoo artist) says that I never confirmed my appointment with him, which I did. He then says he double booked me. I was scheduled and priced for 3 tattoos and a retouch. One of them was significantly smaller than I wanted it, the other one was not what I wanted. He retouched my tattoo aggressively. My wrist tattoo was very simple but the lines are off. My other tattoo is fine. The larger tattoo I was suppose to do, I ended up not doing it because I don't think he was doing a good job. When I go to pay I assume that I would be paying less then the agreed price of $155 because I got one tattoo less than what I was priced for. As I go to pay he wanted $155, I try to explain to him that we agreed on $155 for the 4 tattoos but I only got 3 so obviously that fourth tattoo should've been reduced from the $155. This ends up turning into a huge ordeal where he asked someone to come out and explain it to me. His defense was that he had already given me a deal for 4 tattoos. So I ended up paying $140 and leaving because this man was rude and arrogant. 1 star for bad costumer service. read more

I went to get my nose pierced and the guy was short with me, very rude and after I picked a ring out..he never double checked with me. So I didn't get what I wanted. I would not recommend this place. My daughter wanted to get a small wrist tattoo. Since she is 16 I called to see what was needed. I was told I would need a form filled out and notarized. I told them she did not have a photo ID. They said I could use her social security card. I said is there anything else I need to bring, they said no. When I got there the guy gave me the form and I left to get it notarized. When I got back another guy says she needs a photo ID. Then he asks another guy who says it's fine and I can use her birth certificate, which I had. So he goes in the back to start drawing the tattoo. After a little while yet another guy comes out and says they can not do it. So I went down the street and another place did it no problem. The piercer Christy has a great personality and made it super comforting for my friends and I when we were nervous. Today my piercing fell out after sneezing and I went back and Christy was super nice and helpful getting it back in with no trouble! That was the first problem. Second was she was obviously on some kind of drug because she was shaking and she was definitely not "all there" mentally. She drew me this lily which looked liked a 8th grader drew it in art class. I told her I wanted a stargazer lily but I wanted it to look life like so she drew me a cartoon looking lily with these spikes she called leaves. So at this point I was already worried, she then quoted me a price of 350.00 dollars to create a cartoon on my shoulder. I asked her about this dot that I wanted on my ring finger, that she knew about when I first spoke to her and she had enough nerve to try and charge me 70.00 dollars for the dot on my finger that was smaller then a pencil eraser. So first she is high at work, wont tell me her name, over charges when she finds out I'm an injured Iraq veteran and then at the end of it (which I refused to go thru with the tattoo), she calls the other guy I was talking to at their other store and talks crap about me and calls me all sorts of names and makes me feel like trash and brings up my time I'm Iraq, like she knows what I went thru over there. Very very very unprofessional, as a nurse practitioner for many years, if I spoke to a patient like she did me I would not longer have a career. Never in my life sense I have been back from Iraq has someone talked to me like that and then brings up my service, in a negative way, just to throw it back in my face. This place is a horrible place with her in it. I have never been so disrespected in a LONG time. Go to another shop instead of this one. I woke up this morning glad I never let her touch me! Christy (the piercer there) is an absolute angel! I can not say enough good things about her. I got my tragus pierced at another shop, but had to switch it out for a clear retainer for a job interview. I went in, and she was super happy to help me, talked to me all about my interview and sent me on my way in under 5 mins. Fast forward a couple weeks and my retainer fell out.. I panicked because it's still a new piercing and I didn't want it to close so I went to the shop down the street to get something put in. Well I ended up having an allergic reaction to their cheap jewelry and ran as fast as I could to get to Christy lol As soon as I got in she was so patient and explained my jewelry options, and was so gentle taking out the crappy jewelry that i didn't even feel her do it even though my ear was super sensitive and inflamed. After she was done we sat and talked about my interview because she remembered and shared my excitement about my new job. Go see her! You won't regret it! read more

Just left Atomic Tattoos, I walked in and immediately Josh helped me and with in 20 minutes my tattoo was drawn up and ready to go. Josh did an amazing job he's very "light handed" and precise, he was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The tattoo shop itself was very clean and everyone working there was very friendly, I was very surprised and pleased that I walked in and was able to get a tattoo the same day. The place is awesome and I love my tattoos but my tattoo artist (Alejandro) was a bit of an ass. He was very obviously impatient with me and acted annoyed if I requested something (such as a smaller needle for my tiny finger tattoo) but he does good tattoos so I'll give him that. Josh did my friends tattoo and he's amazing as well, super funny dude! WORST TATTOO PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO!!!!! I am appalled at the awful service here! We scheduled an appointment for my daughter (never once did they ask her age or anything) once we showed up, the sample Tessia showed us of what she drew up was mediocrely done. We asked to do the notary and Tessia swiped the tattoo away from us and told us she doesn't tattoo minors, even though my husband and I were with her. Tessia was completely rude about the ordeal. We understand she might not tattoo minors but she was very rude about the whole thing. She asked the other guy at the store if he would tattoo my daughter the minor and he reluctantly said yes. This is a service!! We are paying for the tattoo, it is NOT something you have to agree to!! The whole situation was awful. We left and Refused to get tattooed by these people. There was somebody before us so we were told to wait 35-40 minutes when we came back from our car, in the store somebody else was already given our place.
