Unfortunately I waited about a year before trying this place, so for the past year I have missed out on some exceptional food. The croissants are fantastic. I particularly love the ham and cheese croissant. It is as good as one I've had at Sift in Mystic Connecticut, which is run by Adam Young, America's top baker. The cinnamon rolls are among the best I have ever tasted. We returned the next day and had the quiche, which was also delicious. The coffee they serve is absolutely delicious. And they gave us a free cup to take with us to go. The people working there seem to be a family and they are all very friendly and nice and hard-working. The ambience is lovely and unexpected. There is a beautiful dark wood counter with barstools so that you can sit at the counter to have your refreshments. The decor is tasteful and transported me Sucre in the French Quarter. There are three tables and an area with a couch and a chair for a more cozy experience. This is an unexpected gem in the heart of Montgomery. It is absolutely worth a trip. This is a cute hometown coffee, tea, and pastry shop. I found the shop on Yelp and was intrigued after I saw a photo of macarons. After a quick drive over from Oswego, I was so surprised when I stepped inside at how quaint and comfortable the shop was, the outside was a bit deceiving. The staff was very friendly and the pastries were so delicious. My intention was to only buy tea and macarons but everything was so appealing I also purchased a pistachio cannoli and a scone. I actually contemplated buying one of everything but decided against it. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing and the tea was served piping hot. I will definitely shop here again. read more

This place is amazing! Everything we tried was delicious. We ordered a mocha latte and the French press coffee, along with the veggie quiche. The quiche was the best I have had outside a French restaurant. We ended our meal by splitting one of the guava cheesecake and the turtle cheesecakes, they were beautiful and tasty. The fresh croissant's are amazing, macaroons (real French macaroons) are the best I've had, outside of Aix-en-Provence, France. The coffee (they serve Ten-Drops Coffee) / latte's are brewed to perfection as well. True care is taken in the creation of each delectable treat, coffee is no exception. Amazing bakery! Been here a few times now and though we aren't early risers they always have a good selection. We have enjoyed everything we've tried so far . The macaroons are delicious (especially any of the chocolate dipped), and their raspberry danish was Flaky awesomeness. I hope more people will find them because they deserve the business. Staff has been friendly and patient with us while making selections. We brought some most recently and got rave reviews and brownie points from our moms. This was by FAR the best bakery I have been to. Not only are the owner and workers the friendliest, most accommodating and skilled people, but the bakery is clean with an atmosphere that is perfect for anyone. The cheesecake- which comes in many different flavors- was made with the perfect amount of cake and crust, the latte perfectly portioned, the cinnamon roll doused with frosting (just how I like it, which no other bakery seems to do) and the croissant. I cannot say enough nice things about this place, the people who work here and their amazing macarons. I love sweets and when I came across these yummy treats at the Aurora farmers market-I was hooked. I live in Chicago, and although there is lots of variety in the big city--nothing has yet to measure up to these macarons. Atrevete does it best! The flavors are amazing, the texture is perfect and there are so many great ones to choose from!! In addition to the amazing quality of their food, the service and people go above and beyond! They are currently transitioning locations (from store front to their own place-yay!) and not once-but TWICE they have helped me get the amazing macarons that I needed (for a fancy tea party with family and a birthday party). The people here are like family and treat you as such. This place is so worth the visit.
