The crew showed up on time this morning and explained the whole process to my wife and I. They put up plastic and paper to protect our walls and floors. Work started at 8am and 11 hours later only cleanup was done. These guys came down just as energetic and courteous as when they started!! These guys are awesome. I worked with Ezell Sr. for the initial walk through, work order and price. Then I worked with Ezell Jr. on the removal, clean up, and install of the insulation. They showed up on time for every appointment we set. They kept my house very clean, were polite and professional, finished the job on time and on budget, use high quality materials, they did everything they said they would for a very fair price. It was a two day job and each day when they first arrived and before they left I did a walk through of the project to get updates on the work progress, they were very educational and transparent with everything. I have had many people come through our house to work on various projects and issues over the years but I have never met anyone who lack professionalism and training as these guys. It started out as a one-day (maybe half a day, the bidder said) job of blowing in insulation on one wall which is really a half a wall of one side of our house (from outside), and attic (approx 700 Sq ft). Mike was super nice and seemed like a good guy when he came to give us a bid. Then my nightmare of over a week long journey began with their in-house miscommunication (Max didn't have the correct order). Then they couldn't get the machine to work. While they went back to pick up a working machine, one of the crew slept in front of my front door, snoring. When he woke up, he stayed on the phone with his girlfriend until the other guys came back. To make the matters even worse, he used our girls' bathroom without my permission. (Gross!) They put up plastic sheeting haphazardly to minimize dust. When I asked for a dual coverage, one of the guys dismissed my concern and told me that it's going to get dusty no matter what. The job they said would take a couple of hours lasted 8. Their hole driller (?) was unavailable that day so another crew came on another day. Pablo and his crew began drilling holes and filling with insulation. This took over 4 hours. Then they told me that no one knows how to fill the hole so they need to send soneone else on ANOTHER DAY. When I called the office to discuss the situation, they didn't know that this crew didn't know how to fill the hole. What?!!! Two days later, their subcontractor Hank showed up to fill the hole and brought another guy with him to repair the ceiling crack & replace the recessed light cover (which had been dropping dust piles on to my closet). After a couple of hours, Hank tells me that he needs to come back the next day to texture the wall (Attic Guys said it should be a quick one day job). AND that he needs to come back on YET ANOTHER DAY to texture my ceiling. Hank did a good job on the repairs and paint. It just took longer than anticipated because, again, there was miscommunication between the worker and the office. Lou at the office gave me a discount for the inconvenience and to get the bathroom cleaned. He seemed empathetic to my complaints. Overall, every single person who came out to work on our house was extremely nice and cordial. Sadly, when I need something done on my house, I need someone to get it done right and on time. I think the Attic Guys would really benefit from having an improved in-house communication and a bit of etiquette training for the crews. read more

So, it all started out with rats in the attic. They did a number on our insulation and the ducting for our HVAC system. The exterminator could do nothing other than take care of the pests. The HVAC guys didn't do insulation, which was also a mess due to the rodents. The insulation up there is loose, and so any attempts to clean up would just remove insulation. In addition, the HVAC company we called gave us a ridiculous quote for the ducting alone, and we didn't know what to do. Not only could Attic guys come and replace ducting, but they also could rodent proof and remove/install all new insulation. This was all quoted at less than the HVAC company quoted for ducts alone. They came and did the ducting yesterday. I was so impressed with the amount of preparation they did, with paper and plastic, to seal off the rest of the house from the work area. When they arrived I asked if it would be okay if the HVAC guys could come after 4 to repair the heater. A third guy came and, from what I can tell, they worked through lunch. They did not tell me they did this to get done early, but it seems that is what they did. They went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Do not use this company. i had nothing but trouble with them. ezell came out for the estimate and i explained what i wanted to do, i wanted to have a usable attic. yes there was rat droppings rat urine and nesting all in my attic. i told ezell i would be sheeting with plywood in the attic for i am remodeling and need to store my stuff up there and not have it ruin. i want a clean breathing useable attic. he told me no problem they can clean it up . well first off ezell didn't bring any plastic to be able to cover my clothes in the closet (attic hatch is in my closet). i let the office know that they need to bring plastic to cover my clothes well he didn't bring any , i asked why and he said he got the message about it right when he showed up. I had hired them to come out, well this is really where it goes wrong. The day the guys show up steve and his illegal mexican worker (as steve told me ) showed up on time . steve gets out of his truck and starts having something to eat, then lights up a cigarette, throughs his cigarette down in front of my house and leaves it . His helper who i will name illegal was egar to get to work, I let Steve know there are some of are personal items do to rodent droppings all over them they need to get out . ezell did tell me not to touch anything in the attic for it was all ruined from rats pooping on everything and urine plus nesting in everything, well steve whinned and cried to everyone he called for over an hr. while illegal just wanted to work. i was just about to tell steve to leave and he said that they would get it out but he should not have to remove my stuff that i should have had it ready and cleaned out . well if i was going to have to clean it out i should have just done the work myself ! steve is a little whinny punk ! he had illegal tape off with plastic but they never put anything down to protect my carpet and flooring. the whole time illegal worked steve just stood around talking to me an my neighbors. when it was all cleaned out steve went in to seal up rodant holes . i watched him go in with 1 little piece of 1/8 " wire and a can of orange foam . i seen all the daylight holes with ezell i knew that wasn't enough wire . i heard illegal telling steve hes was doing the job wrong. illegal was saying wire first then spray. well steve did spray first an some small amount of wire . steve asked me to check the attic before the insulation goes in . when i went to check there was numerous daylight holes everywhere. i told him thats not right and he needs to rodant proff it with wire . well Steve was defiant about it all and eventually took more orange spray up in the attic. well holy shit he sprayed that stuff out and made a huge mess and pumped it right out into my back yard all over my grandchildrens pool and beach toys finns mask and snorkels . steve went up to disinfect the attic with his hand sprayer full , when he came back down he had a full bottle still .i then saw steve was going to install r-38 into the attic well ezell said r-30 . so i told steve it was wrong and explained that i was going to sheet my attic with plywood and that r-38 would not work . once again he insisted that the r-38 was right. then illegal rushed to put in the insulation and beat his own time record. i could not believe what i was going through with these incompataint workers . i have video cameras to back up everything i am saying. r-38 was very wrong. We have 2x4 rafters so we could not sheet the attic for we had to compress the insulation so much that it would crack and pop out the ceiling from inside the house and compressing the insulation defeats the purpose of insulation. i called and sent an e-mail. i was told the manager would talk with me monday. Brian showed up i explained everything to him and he said that he has to talk with the owner and Steve really blew it . The office already gave me a time to fix everything on thursday a( week later.) so Brian said that they would have to come back and shave the insulation down so i could sheet the attic. i told him no way because that defeats the whole purpose of a clean breathable attic with all that loose shaving floating around . Also told him how do we know the Rats didn't get back in an leave droppings, nest an urine. Brian never reached out to me until the night before him showing up only because I messaged him did he respond. He was going to shave the insulation ! I told him NO WAY ! Now remember they had left my job unfinished for a week Now . Wonder how many other jobs have been completed before they even came back to finish my attic ? ! Irresponsible Company. 12/2014: According to the individuals who have seen the insulation in the attic, it is thick and well laid. We still have some issues with the front bedroom being cold, but it has 3 exterior walls, so it's prob nothing to do with the insulation. We are very pleased with the work. 1/2014 So far, so good. We had Quinton come out today for an estimate. He was honest, straightforward & professional. After encountering some very unprofessional insulation contractors, Attic Guys, was a breath of fresh air. We scheduled them based on their fair estimate, professional rep & reviews. Will update once the job is complete, but we foresee no issues at this point. read more

UPDATE - After the Attic Guys left I found that one of the AC vents was not blowing air and that the blower in the unit was blowing air our in the closet. No problem mistakes happen we called they would send someone out the next day to fix it. Great! Next day comes two guys show up have to borrow a ladder because other repair took the ones out of their truck. They had no AC tape or tools. They looked at what was wrong tried to fix it with what they had but could not. When they left I was told "when we get back to the shop we will let someone know right away and someone will be hear tomorrow maybe Brian (do not know who he is). Next day, my wife calls in the morning - someone will call us back. again at 2:15 she calls - No one can come out today will be there tomorrow. Asked for a Manager no one there to talk to as well????? So now I have an AC vent in our living room not working, cool air blowing into a closet and vent falling from the ceiling..... Not sure that I can recommend the "Attic Guys" at this point sorry to anyone who read this the other day.... If you called them double check the work before they leave or hire someone else. Found out through the AC guys that we had a rodent issue in the attic. Called Attic Guys for estimate. Ezell came out gave us the estimate must have spent at least 45 minutes measuring everything. He sat at our kitchen table and explained everything cost, how the work is done and when can we get it done. Made the appointment got a call the day before just as an FYI then about 30 minutes before they showed up they called again to make sure we were up and ready.....Mike, Cliff, OG and Bruce showed up. Mike explained what they were going to do and off they went. Put up plastic, closed doors and tapped off everything to avoid dust getting into the rest of the house. When they finished they cleaned up great!! Took everything they took out and trash that had accumulated so as not to fill our trash cans. After the clean up Mike went through and vacuumed they based boards and AC vents in the house. He then walked the house to make sure all holes had been patched. I cannot give these guys and the company enough credit!! We have had all kinds come in for quotes etc. As is said below, I owner should be ecstatic with the people he has working for him or her they wear the Attic Guys name with pride and purpose and do the job right the first time!! read more

I was especially impressed with Alfred from the time he provided me with a quote to the time the job was finished. He did the initial review of the attic and pointed out some issues in my attic that the other companies didn't. If it were not for his professionalism and customer service skills I probably would have gone with another company for this job. Also , the staff that completed the job was very courteous and friendly. They cleaned up the work area during those two days every time. After the job was done Alfred checked the ducting airflow which was very much appreciated. After, everyone left I turned off the AC and noticed that our doorbell chime started humming which it never did before. It turned out that with all the movement / work in our attic, the staff must have frayed some of the doorbell wiring. Alfred confirmed this the next day( he came back to finish his part of the ducting job) while completing some insulation work to the ducting. I called the 800 number 2x and got no response. Alfred was nice enough to say he would mention this to someone at Attic Guys. To date I have not heard from anyone , except Alfred, who said they sometimes run into these type of situations and help out the customer. I disconnected the doorbell connections because the humming was very annoying . Also, I was finally able to get a correct invoice that said "paid in full". The original invoice after the job was completed said I owed a balance. Thanks to Alfred, I was able to get a copy of the invoice indicating a zero balance and "paid in full". For these reasons I am giving Attic Guys a 3 star rating, due to the lack of response to my issues from their headquarters. read more

Came to give estimate. Knocked their ladder into my staircase bannister and it took paint off which I will have to repair. Also, got dirt all along the right stairs bannister, including grout. Don't know how they managed to make such a mess on my right stair bannister but I wouldn't trust them to do any work on my home. read more

They were good when it came to scheduling an appointment for the estimate and sending it to me but it all went South after that. I tried contacting them for 2-1/2 months with phone calls and emails and received the same response of "I'm sorry about that. We'll have someone get back to you as soon as possible" but I never did. I called and spoke with Madison from Attic Guys last Saturday Sept 3rd about scheduling an appointment. She stated she would have an employee call me. I also made an online appointment for a free estimate for Attic Guys services for Tuesday 9/6/22 at 8 a.m. I took off work which cost me $300.00 just to make sure I was here and could chat with the Attic Guys employee about the services I needed estimated. Nobody showed during the window period between 8 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. I called Attic Guys just past 11 a.m. and Madison stated that since I made the appointment on Saturday, nobody would show up. I asked her what that meant. Why would they offer online booking on Saturday if nobody would show up for the customer. She did have a logical answer. We were very pleased by the service provided by the Attic Guys and would highly recommend them. They were all very courteous and professional. Even though it was pouring rain and there was mud in our yard, they covered the floors and managed to keep the inside of the house clean. They worked diligently vacuuming out the old insulation, disinfecting, and plugging up all openings in the attic and at the base of the house where roof rats could enter. The supervisor went over all of details at the beginning of the project. Upon completion, the supervisor invited my husband to take a look in the attic. How about just showing up to the Appointments you guys set? So about a week and a half ago I call these Attic guys up and ask for a quote so the nice lady sets up an appointment for the following week. The day before the appointment she calls and says that her guy won't be able to make it to the appointment because other clients rescheduled their appointments so she has to reschedule my appointment. I'm reasonable so I say sure. We agree on a new date for the following Monday. So today, Monday, she calls and said that her guy had an emergency and won't be able to make the appointment but she offers to once again reschedule the appointment. I politely decline her request and say that I will find someone else for a quote. BIG RED FLAG! I'm a certified electrician and I know that when you start something wrong it ends wrong. It is true as Tom C. Says that a company can not always make 100% of the customers happy BUT in order to have a chance to make them happy you first have to show up to the appointments your company sets. Rule 1 in construction is-show up. That's it. Just show up. As an electrician in the construction industry I would not recommend this company. Rrrrruuunnn and avoid these guys! Called around to a few different attic service providers in our area for inspections/quotes and atticguys gave us the best pricing. Due to other work being done on the house, we were unable to complete both cleaning and insulation installation on the same day (so there was a $250 fee for splitting the service up into two days). Their team was very professional from beginning to end. The service items were clearly listed out with prices in the contract and when the job started, we were always given courtesy calls with estimated times of arrivals. They took a lot of effort to keep the work path to the service area clean - this entailed creating a containment chamber near the service area and also vacuuming and sweeping any remaining debris in the work path when the job was completed. They also took time to make sure all our can lights and fixtures were working afterwards. We really feel a lot better knowing our attic is now decontaminated, rodent proofed, air sealed, and with new insulation installed. Attic Guys installed insulation in the attic for us. It was hot and my attic fan wasn't working to lower the temperature. Alfredo was very helpful, knowledgeable, and the first point of contact. I asked questions along the way before deciding and he was very patient with me as I explored all options. Cliff and Steve had a lot of insulation to pick up for the company and were later than expected. The only thing I would have wished was for someone to tell me they'd be late. The entire process from estamation to completion was timely efficient and professional. Other companies provide an estimate without even looking into the attic space. Attic guys estimator check the attic space thoroughly and even discovered a disconnected HVAC duct that we had known about. I recently contracted with Attic Guys to remove and replace my old attic insulation. A crew of 5 showed up including the forman for what they hoped would be a 1-2 day job. The removal took longer than expected and it was threating to rain. The forman brought the new insulation anyway in an open trailer and it got soaked. Rescheduled for 3 days later. That day only 2 workers showed up with no forman. One guy spent most of his time installing and wiring a bathroom fan while the other guy did most of the insulation. The insulation work did not go well. There was one hard to get to area where old insulation was not removed and where rats were nesting. (We still have the rats.) I had complained and they were going to send an inspector out but he never showed up. Not happy with this complany's work. read more

I received a written quote from a representative of the company for a room addition I am doing. Then I get an email $600 more than the written quote with no reason why. When I called a representative stated I was given the wrong price and that "a manager" overrode the price per square foot because my job did not require clean up and so they have to charge more. I missed their call and follow-up with them a few times and kept getting a voicemail. Finally, I called the 1800 number again spoke to someone who said someone would call me. I didn't want to wait so I asked could someone come out and schedule me while she had me on the phone.All went well and they came out that same day. Where things go wrong is that after the estimate the representative never sent over the estimate. Even after I called I was told it had not been sent. It's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't received anything. This leads me to wonder why?
