After discovering that our attic was improperly ventilated and had been accumulating mold for several years, we hired them again to the do the clean out and mold remediation up there. Again, their work was on point for price, extremely professional, and beautifully done. Everyone we worked and talked with, from the inspector (Brennen), the onsite crew, the office, and even the owner, were friendly, well-informed, professional, and prompt. After the work was completed, they have been prompt about following up with inspections to help us stay in warranty on the work and ensure no future issues. He came on site to quote the project to make sure that he thoroughly understood and could give me an accurate price. I had a window of about 10 days before I had houseguests arriving. I told Dana I could do the project before or after their visit. He had a crew on site the next day and it was all completed with 2 days to spare. Both the drywall and paint teams were excellent. They prepped well and cleaned up very well afterwards. They were very easy to communicate with. The informed me of what would happen each day and asked questions where any clarification was needed. It was a big effort for me, but the inconvenience was minimized because they took great care with their work and were respectful of my home. The quality of the work was excellent. There was one unanticipated issue discovered when I went to put everything back after the work was completed. I informed Dana of it and he had a guy come out to resolve it to my satisfaction. When he came out, he did another fireplace sweep and also repaired cracks in both the exterior and interior of my fireplace. He took the time to carefully inspect everything and honestly told me those additional services the other company recommended were not necessary. I really appreciated his honesty and not trying to take advantage of the situation. His pricing is very fair, and his work is excellent. It's rare to find someone this honest, skilled, and trustworthy. I highly recommend him and will continue to use him in the future.

Great Company! Great Designers (TIM E.)! Great installation teams (JESSE) ! Our new system is amazing! My Wife and I own a fairly large single story "open concept" home, two of the rooms have high Cathedral style ceilings. After a mini heatwave in July we decided it was time to add Central AC. We had already overhauled our attic's insulation and ducting and added a fairly high end "LENNOX" furnace two years earlier so we thought it would be simple to add AC. HVAC is a major investment so I made appointments with four different companies because I wanted to have comparative bids and different ideas. I first contacted the same Mega-corporation that had installed our Heating. Then I called a small local "Ma and Pa" company. Then a larger Company that services all of Los Angeles; and just for good measure I called a LOWES home improvement store in south Torrance (HOME COMFORT USA has the contract with this branch). After meeting with all the representatives it became clear that our system which had seemed so great for heating was not ready for AC. Our furnace was in a hallway closet elevated on a small platform with an 8" tall RETURN crammed underneath that was sucking its air off of the hallway floor! We had always felt that our furnace was a bit loud but assumed that was normal. Turns out we were hearing the whistling of air as it struggled through this tiny vent to feed our 4-ton Furnace. This was not good because Air Conditioning requires a lot more RETURN than Heating. All four HVAC companies offered various solutions such as raising the furnace on a higher platform or cutting through an adjacent wall to create a bigger RETURN but they also ALL suggested that relocating the system to the crawl space above the attic would be the quietest most efficient solution. Among these four representatives "TIM E." from HOME COMFORT USA really stood out from the crowd. He actually had a passion and excitement about all things AC and seemed enthusiastic about how he could really upgrade our system to live up to it's full potential. TIM listened to our concerns about noise and also the look of our house. He took his time identifying an optimum location in the attic and suggested discreet places to tuck TWO Separate full sized RETURNS that wouldn't detract from our home's appearance. It seemed like TIM was more of a "System Designer" and not really a "Salesman". We had confidence in his vision so we chose HOME COMFORT USA. Next came the Install. What good would TIM'S Design be without quality trained technicians? The crew that showed up were friendly and professional and very respectful of our home. We had "JESSE" as the chief installer. It was a big job and I watched over the next several days as he and his crew carefully dismantled our furnace from the closet and relocated it to the attic. He took time to answer my questions and sought my input and approval before cutting any holes in my walls and ceilings. I really felt that they included me in the process. JESSE was equal parts Carpenter, Electrician and Ductworker but his artistry really stood out with his final assembly of our Furnace/Cooling Coil/Plenum. It looks like a NASA SPACE STATION is docked in our crawlspace! And when the thing finally turned on it was as powerful as it was QUIET! You can barely hear anything as air effortlessly drifts through the duct work. The system cools our entire house evenly and quickly while we sleep soundly through the night. Tim's design was perfectly installed by Jesse. This was by far the best investment we have made in our house to date. Speaking of money, going into it we just assumed that anything done through LOWES (Home Comfort Usa) would be the most expensive but actually all four bids were pretty much the same. The "Ma and Pa" company was about $300 less than HOME COMFORT USA but we doubted they had the staff to complete the job in a timely fashion (every time we called the "main" phone number we got the owner and he was always at a "job site working on an installation" . My point being that while HVAC isn't cheap, it seems that among the "REPUTABLE" companies there is a fairly standard pricing structure in place no matter who you choose. What you really need to focus on is how good the "DESIGNER" of your system is and how good the "INSTALLER" is and we were so happy with both that I decided to take my time to write this review (something I rarely do). Terrific Experience! From the sales representative Jacob to the installation crew of Miguel, Doug and Harold we are110% happy with Home Comfort. I am a 59 year old homeowner in Huntington Beach who after many years of debating the subject decided to go through with central air after having been quoted a very competitive price by Home Comfort for a 4-ton Lennox unit. This proved to be the best decision we have made among all of our home improvements. Our 1960's flat roofed home with limited space along the side for the outdoor condenser presented a serious technical challenge that required special equipment. The crew came out and spent an entire day evaluating and offering options to me, searching their network of suppliers and traveling to two locations to pick up the equipment needed to fit our home including a special compact coil unit required to fit between our furnace and ducts. The outdoor "slim line" unit required for our limited outdoor space would normally have been a significant upcharge, but all the Home Comfort team was interested in was to satisfy us with no change orders. They respected their original quote through the entire project. Through the process that had to patience to educate me about SEER values, unit tonnage, Energy Star ratings, etc. The crew was always very professional, respectful, polite, friendly, informative, always wore masks and finished the job exactly when they said they would. They installed the entire system in 1 day. They even arranged a hazardous waste crew to remove an asbestus exhaust pipe that was discovered inside our ceiling when they went to fit the AC coil above our furnace and replaced it with a double walled exhaust pipe to meet code. After having recently had poor experiences with a roofing and mason contractor, it was a relief and pleasure to work with a group so willing, capable and eager to please. They REALY understand customer service. I hope to be able to get them some business through referrals because they really deserve it. And by the way, I had this project quoted two years ago by another HVAC contractor through a Costco program for the same system, who's price was $5,200 more than Home Comfort. So not only did they install top quality equipment, but we know that we got a more than fair price. Second update: after over 5 hours and LOTS of repairs and inspections.... the ac is fixed. Brent is a GEM! One a kind for sure. Frank came with Brent and did A LOT of the hard work in hot heat. Thanks Frank ;) Thank you so much for everything! All the guys that came out over these few weeks.. THANK YOU!- you all did so much hard work on this house! Once I'm not blazing hot, I'll be happier.. until then, I'm grateful. Update: Since they've been out to maintenance our ac and add energy efficient upgrades, it's broken three times. First time, the guys couldn't get the new parts installed properly. Then the next two guys couldn't get the wiring right. My husband had to go on the roof in the middle of the night to fix it. They sent another guy out to check it and said it was fine AGAIN. And here we are AGAIN... with a broken ac unit. This unit has never had a problem since we've lived here for almost 8 years. As I'm currently sitting in my home at 1 AM that is blazing hot on the hottest day of the year (so far) praying my children don't wake up and crying bc I haven't slept in over a month with my newborn and now the ac is BROKEN FOR A THIRD TIME!!!! This is unreal. It was fine before they touched and now it won't work for more than a few days. My landlord called and supposedly they're trying to work us into the schedule today?? Ummm are you kidding me??!! You broke our unit and we aren't your first priority?!? I almost had this company replace the in laws entire unit and buy a new one with all the bells and whistles for their home, thank god I didn't! COMPLETELY APPALLED!!! Do not have this company enter your home. Big Anthony is one of the most calm, patient and professional technicians I've ever come across. He had to come back a couple of times to replace different parts. He never complained about my dogs trying to attack him, always kept noise to a minimum when the children were sleeping and always had a smile on his face. We installed a new air conditioner and furnace on July 27, 2017. The week prior, we had some guys from Home Comfort come out to evaluate our old, 25 year HVAC system to see if anything could be done repair wise, before spending a ton of money on a new system. We got two opinions, one from the preferred Costco provider (Associated) and Home Comfort. Both companies thoroughly evaluated our old system and came to the same conclusion. It wasn't worth saving. 25 years wasn't bad, so we knew it was time. Associated and Home Comfort both provided knowledgeable, technical salespeople to give us a quote. We have nothing against Associated, but decided on Home Comfort because we thought we were getting a slightly upgraded system and so went with them. We went for the works and moved our old furnace/forced air unit from the garage into the attic, which was a lot of work, but so much more efficient and cools the house way better than having an intake in the downstairs. Having the intake in the upstairs and the FAU in the attic is quieter, more efficient and just better because now we created an extra storage space large enough for a refrigerator in our garage. We also added an air scrubber, so now we have a clean air system in our house. We never need to open the windows because the air is clean (smells clean) and less dust in the house, and everything stays cleaner. They did all the work in two FULL days. The installers (Christian and Daniel) worked hard and long hours. They put booties on to keep our carpet clean and drop cloths to keep the carpet clean and stuff around the attic from getting dusty. There is always going to be a little dust anytime you're doing work, but I'm a clean freak and it was manageable. They sent a repair guy (at no charge to us) within a few days to repair a little area of drywall that got scraped by the new intake area created in the ceiling. Most companies would probably not even fix the little tiny marks, but Home Comfort gladly did. Then a few days after that, they sent a technical person to evaluate the system after it had been installed for about 10 days, to make sure we were satisfied with everything. We are. I have owned my disaster of a House in Rancho Santa Margarita for about 7 years ago. This house was so poorly built in 1998, none more poorly than the heating and cooling and the spaghetti bowl they called duct work. From the moment our sales EXPERT Allison arrived at the house then from looking at the duct work and the dying A/C she told me exactly why my electric bill was so high and why the house differed so largely from upstairs to downstairs in a 2,000 sq foot house. The deal was a bit more expensive than I hope, but much better than I expected having shopped this Lennox with Dual Zones System prior. Working with Zak and Allison on the financing took a bit of creativity due to other projects we had going in the house. I appreciate all the efforts and great ideas the team came up with, the final solution was excellent thanks to coordination from the folks at Lowes. The most amazing part of this project, minus the really great system that is now installed in my house with in 2 days of ordering, was the removal and installation team Home Comfort USA sent us. First thing on Thursday morning Jesus and Miguel showed up a the house. From that moment on for the next two days and a half they busted there asses!!! I have had some horrible service folks on my house before, I also had some GREAT companies like American Vision Windows and Solar, Zerorez and Squeegy pros. The dynamic Duo of Jesus and Miguel from Home Comfort might have been the best ever. They were fast, amazingly clean, super knowledgeable and just great guys and respectful of the fact that two of use work from home and managed the two pitbulls and the African Grey Parrot that run around the house. I got the guys to take a break for lunch and grabbed a couple of Pizzas, it was really during that time when we got to learn just how great these guys are and how knowledgeable about the technology they were. At the end of the job, and really through out the process Jesus walked me through everything and how to use the new thermostat, Dual zones, walked me through visually everything that was done and the new duct system...Then sold me on the future add a Air Scrubber!!! My experience was very much the same as Myy A's and Travis K's. While shopping at Lowe's, I was approached by a salesperson who offered a $49 a/c inspection from Home Comfort USA. It was time for my annual a/c check so I made an appointment. The technician showed up on time and did a very thorough job inspecting and cleaning my central a/c and heater. He took pictures of the interior of the system and showed me that the fan motor was leaking oil. He said he would give me a complete write up at the end of the service. Had this actually been the case, I would have easily given Home Comfort USA a five star rating. However, about an hour and a half into the service, the technician's supervisor made an unannounced visit. This is where everything went south. This "supervisor" came into my home and started chatting me up with friendly small talk while the technician continued his work. After a while, we sat at my dining room table to discuss my central a/c-heater system. This supervisor basically said that my a/c-heater and ducting was shot and had to be entirely replaced. He spent the next 15 minutes or so engaging in very high pressure sales methods in trying to sell me a $15,000+ replacement system. I explained repeatedly that I would not sign a contract "on the fly" for such a large outlay. I don't make such large expenses without performing research and obtaining multiple estimates from reputable companies. He replied that I would be getting lowball estimates from unreliable, untrustworthy companies and that I would wind up spending much more in the end. I replied that characterization would depend on who I decide to call for estimates. After repeating several times that I would give it consideration if he gave me a written estimate, he left me with a piece of paper with numbers and diagrams written all over it--not a written estimate. My wife and I had been discussing getting central air for our home for the past 2 years and with the stay at home order in effect the last 3+ months, we finally decided to get serious about it. My wife found Home Comfort USA while we were at Home Depot and called them a few days later to get an estimate. I wish we would have known about Home Comfort USA years ago because they are excellent!!! Our entire experience, from the walk through, to the pricing, to the installation was easy and stress free. Their employees are very professional, knowledgeable and most importantly, extremely friendly. Our initial home inspector Jacob was the best! He toured our house to get a feel of our home, what components we had in place, and what our needs were. He made my wife and I feel comfortable and he gave us a crash course in air conditioning. He really wanted us to have the knowledge we needed in order to make a decision that fit our budget, needs, and home. After discussing the options, we made the decision to lock in our unit and scheduled our installation a few days later. Douglas A, Miguel R and Ron A came to instal our new unit. They did a fantastic job considering how much work they had to do!! We finally replaced our air conditioning and heating system with the choice of Home Comfort to do the job. The decision to actually zone our home has shown us that a reduction in heating and air conditioning costs has already occurred. What an excellent decision and we are now ready for the summer months ahead while adding an automatic air circulating/brushing system that keeps our home free of germs and odors. Now, we can control the temperature of our home from the Home Comfort wireless system should we wish to change the temperature for each zone or the entire house using their state-of-the-art wireless technology. One of the most important things to us is to pick a contractor that pays careful attention to our floors, ceilings, and walls as they work cautiously not to damage our home while they work. The team was always on time and advised us of their plans beforehand as to when we could expect them, and their work at hand. If you are putting off a new system or just a repair because you are afraid of having workers in your home or just taking on a project you can trust Home Comfort. I would highly recommend this Company (some companies do not care and just want your money). We had an exceptional experience and found the team very respectful, polite and one that totally explained all the details to us as they worked through our project and I do admit we are both very particular with professional and technical backgrounds. AC stopped working. Temperature in the house up to 96. Called around, American Comfort was able to come out that day. Technician arrived. Inspected unit. Informed me that a particular part was needed and the cost of that part was $375. But, I needed two of them. $750.00. I was a bit surprised at the cost of the parts. Technician said he would give me a "Senior Discount" and the parts would only be $275.00 each, now we're down to $550.00 and the cost of the service call. I get the part number, Google it, and the part costs between $5.00 to $11.00. And, there is only one required, not two. At that point I was a bit upset. I told the guy to just button everything up and to leave. While walking back into the house I was informed that he would give me a discount and only charge me $275.00 for everything. WHAT? You just quoted me $750.00 to start. Then you were going to give me a "Senior Discount" and the price would be $550.00. And now you're going to sell it to me for $275.00? Temperature was now up around 100 degrees outside. I told him to fix the unit. I didn't want to deal with people like this again, once was enough. He fixed it, AC is now working and I was told not to tell the boss what transpired here. I told him I would not. But, that doesn't stop me from posting a review on Yelp! These folks will try to rip you off for whatever they can. Don't believe me? Check the part numbers of items installed during your most recent visit. How much were you charged? What did the parts actually cost? And how many did you need to start with? Really bad business. This is one of those incidents where you want to call the local news station and alert them to consumer ripoff practices. read more

So I had my apprehensions of having these people come back to my house since I wasn't a 100% satisfied after the original installation of my service and was charged for permits and inspections that never occurred, but that's neither here there concerning this tune up. So based on the price of $69 I figured that was fair since I've had the system a few years, I knew for a fact the filter would need to be changed just for some of the construction that's going on in my home and the amount of dust being ggenerated. So their technician Michael came out and I was almost instantly impressed nice friendly and professional courteous almost to a flaw though we did talk a big part of the servicing I feel he did above job average I would definitely be calling Home Comfort USA assuming that I can get the same technician to come back out. Now there was the upsell of purchasing their service plan but at no point did I ever feel pressured or that he was actually trying to sell it, he mentioned it told me the advantages and disadvantages and I was able to make an informed decision unlike other companies where they make it seem like you have to have it he made it seem as if you don't have to have it but it'll save you a little bit of money over time and let's face it we all like saving money. So in the end after my multi-point inspection, filter change maybe it's a mental thing but I feel my system is actually blowing cooler air but I'm confident to say I'll make it through this California hot summer. So only as a recommendation for everyone who reads this post I would always recommend Michael if you can request a specific repairman I guarantee you'd be happy with his level of service. read more

If there were a "no star" rating, I would choose it. We purchased a new air conditioner unit through Costco last fall. After 3 reschedules, the first on which my husband took off work and was told less than one hour before the end of the 4-hour appointment window, the tech couldn't make it. The tech finally showed up last weekend. He spent only 10 minutes on the maintenance service and then tried to sell us an Air Scrubber for $1500. He said he had personally received testimonials of its effectiveness over the UV light. We declined on the air scrubber since the UV light is working just fine. We asked for a few complimentary filters for the scheduling inconvenience. He gave us two filters and installed one before he left. Later that day, my husband noticed the air wasn't flowing as it had before the service call and the air didn't feel fresh. Also, I could see dust particles floating in the air. A couple of days later, I woke up with a sinus headache and stuffy nose which continued. Yesterday, I took a look at the filter and noticed the tech had installed a cheap and damaged filter, upside down. As soon as we correctly replaced it with one that we already had, literally immediately we could feel the difference. The air was flow was back to normal, the air quality had improved, no more floating dust particles, no more sinus headache and stuffy nose and better quality sleep. So, I feel the tech had done this intentionally, hoping that we would ultimately decide to purchase the Air Scrubber. This company is a contractor for Costco. I'm sure they wouldn't endorse this kind of dishonesty and manipulation. read more

I had a scheduled appointment for this morning for a Plumber with Home Comfort USA to come and give a quote for a project. Mr. Marco, the Plumber, came promptly and gave a quote. This was my first quote for the project. What caught my attention was that Mr. Marco -- a seasoned plumber who worked previously at other plumbing companies -- said that Home Comfort USA has a guarantee that they will do the work right the first time, or they pay an "inconvenience fee" to the client. After the appointment, my elderly mother called and told me that she mistakenly flushed my elderly father's dentures down the toilet. She had called her handyman, who said there was no way to retrieve the dentures. Nevertheless, I texted Mr. Marco if it was possible to retrieve the dentures for my elderly father. He said Yes and he heard the urgency in my text. He advised not to flush that toilet again and asked to make sure my parents had another toilet if needed. He came after his previously scheduled appointments, at the end of his already long day. I met him at my parents' place. He put his shoe protectors before entering and got to work right away -- and Mr. Marco got my father's dentures!!! (I researched how to clean and disinfect the dentures and did such for my father.) Mr. Marco was very professional, highly competent, but also very kind and caring about my elderly parents' urgent need. My father, and the whole family, are really grateful to Mr. Marco and Home Comfort USA. Because of this, I am glad to become a client of Mr. Marco and Home Comfort USA for my project. Michael A. did a fabulous job of servicing my home HVAC system. He patiently explained what he was doing and recommended specific parts replacements and why. Michael A. also demonstrated excellent people skills for dealing with customers. He suggested I have the air output checked for CO by his lead/supervisor James because of some indicators he pointed out to me earlier. So, I agreed. James patiently and clearly explained what device he was using to check for CO output and how it will be done. James showed me the results of his testing. It was determined there is a small CO leak in my HVAC system. Based on Michael A. and James information and recommendations I will be accelerating my plans to replace my home HVAC system sooner than I originally planned. James took time from his busy schedule to simply and clearly explain my options and choices regarding HVAC systems as I was asking him questions intermittently. Both Michael A. and James have very good people skills and make every attempt to make the customer feel at ease about the work they do for a customer and empower the customer w/ HVAC information so they may make an informed decision regarding their HVAC system. When the time comes to replace my home HVAC system, I will purchase my future new system from them and have them install it as well. I do recommend Home Comfort to my friends for their home HVAC needs and one of them had Home Comfort recently replace their old system and is very happy with the new system and installation process. read more

During the hottest week of last summer our 20+ year old A/C unit quit. We contacted several A/C companies regarding an estimate for a new unit. Three companies responded. Company #1-used scare tactics to drive the price up. Insisting we needed much more than we did.Company #2-sent a technician out who promised his boss would email an estimate based on his report. After one week and several phone calls we never received an estimate. Company #3-Home Comfort sent out an estimator at a time that was convenient for us. The estimator presented us with options and a price that same evening. He was very professional and we never felt like we were buying more than we needed. We opted to pay a portion of the cost using their financing plan, again the estimator came to our home at a time that was convenient for us. We needed our unit installed rather quickly due to an event that we were hosting in our home. Did I mention this was the hottest week of the summer. The installers were on time, knowledgeable, clean and fast. Edwin was the technician who came to do our first complimentary maintenance "check-up" he was just as everyone else we have encountered, on time, clean, knowledgeable and professional. Home Comfort has customer service figured out. They put the customer first! We are so happy that we went with Home Comfort. My wife and I went into Lowe's looking for yard furniture and met John offering information on central air conditioning. He was very approachable, explained the Lennox system, and made an appointment for Marcus to visit our home to give us an estimate. John was not pushy at all, however, he did follow up to make sure my appointment was set and check in during the decision making time. When Marcus visited our home, he was great. I expected a high pressure sales pitch with him insisting we sign a contract on the spot. It was the total opposite. Marcus did a thorough review of our home, duct work, and existing equipment. He left us with an estimate for a variable speed furnace and condenser and asked when he could follow up. After receiving two other estimates, I easily decided that Home Comfort USA was the best overall value for us. The install team led by Enrique was awesome. The installation was very well done, he answered all of our questions, and completed the install in one day. I was amazed. Our interactions at every level was fantastic. Our AC, which is only a few years old, started making a humming noise and stopped working. We were called before they came and the window in which they said they would come wasn't a huge one, so it was easy and convenient to schedule. Scott came out, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and after checking the thermostat, heater, and outer unit, determined the cause of the problem very quickly. He was also able to see our previous unit based on our file and compare to the current one. The people who sold us our unit failed to inform us that we needed to perform yearly maintenance on the outer unit to keep it clean from debris - Scott informed us of this and checked our warranty, and was able to replace the correct parts. He also went ahead and cleaned the outer unit to prevent any potential blocked air flow from causing this issue in the next year. He took photos and took the time to explain the issues and how to prevent them in the future, and how we could perform our own checks throughout the year, which was very much appreciated. The service from Scott was fast, well priced, he clearly had a lot of knowledge, and it was overall a very easy and uncomplicated process. There were also no hidden fees or upselling, which is a welcome relief from many other home service companies. Highly recommend both Home Comfort and Scott for any future service you need! read more

Can't say enough good things about my experience with Home Comfort USA! Initially we called another company to come out and inspect our system. We paid this other company $100 for them to tell us we had a leak and we needed to pay them $1300 to figure out where the leak was. We decided to get a second opinion and called Home Comfort USA. First of all the people who answer their phones are great, super helpful and informative and they worked with us with our schedule to set up a time for a technician to come out. They sent their technician George out who looked at the unit and told us in 10 minutes where the leak was and this was at no cost! Unfortunately, the leak was not repairable, and the system needed to be replaced. However, he called his supervisor James to come out and he helped get a quote together for us and get an install scheduled right away. They couldn't have been nicer and more helpful! The install ending up taking way more work and time than was anticipated but the installers did an amazing job! Our installers were Jose Alcoraz, Norman Cardona, and Lupe Fernandez. The 3-day job was not an easy task, but they did it and now our system works flawlessly! Very glad we went with home comfort USA and I highly recommend them if you need a need system or are having issues with a current one. read more

While walking through Home Depot the weekend after Thanksgiving I was approached by David Gorman in the aisles, great guy who told me about a Black Friday special they had running which was a partnership between Home Depot and home comfort USA. I knew that my heater needed some love and so I signed up through them But scheduled it several months later when I was off work. They were very efficient at calling me and making sure I was home and ready to go and were very easy to contact. On the day we had scheduled they were right on time. KC (his initials on my heater because I forgot his first name) was a really cool guy and while doing my heater inspection, we had a great talks about family and life and much more. He was kind and personable. But also efficient at what he was doing. He did walk me through some area that needed some love and some recommendations of what he would do for service I knew from the eight dollar deal that there was gonna be an upsell but I feel like they did a good job balancing what products they had without being too pushy. I did end up doing an extra one year service with them. Which I felt was a fair price and will help us out in the upcoming year. We have used Home Comfort USA for years to maintain our heating and ac.They have always been professional and knowledgeable and have extended the life of my units for several years. When it was time to replace them George, with his technical advise and the Project Manager, Anthony explained all of my choices and options. They have been honest and forthcoming with information to help me in making good decisions. Nicole did a great job coordinating the removal and replacement of my new units. The Demo team of Douglas and Miguel were fantastic in removing my ac compressor and heater. They were quick, quiet and neat. Talking with Douglas was a pleasure... such an intelligent and skilled young man. The installation team of Jose, Sopany, Douglas and Miguel did a great job in removing my old ducting and installing the new. In no time, the ac and heater were installed and working great. Later, I got a call from John, the owner, who said the "real" price was actually $4,991 with labor--but that he would "honor" the lower quote after noticing from my email that I worked in education. The estimate included no breakdown of parts or labor, offering zero transparency. I also felt like John was pressuring me to make a decision by Sunday night so he could order parts and schedule installation Monday. After his follow-up, I told him we simply couldn't afford it. On September 3rd, another heat wave hit with temperatures over 100°F. Normally, we would have left our dog inside with the AC running while we were at work. But since the AC was still broken, we couldn't. Tragically, our family dog died of heatstroke in the backyard that day, devastating our children. Immediately following this awful incident, we called another AC company for a second opinion. Their technician did a thorough inspection and found that nothing was broken--we were simply out of Freon. He refilled it, charged us $400 total, and our AC has been working perfectly ever since. I am deeply disappointed in the dishonesty from Service Hero. They misdiagnosed the problem and pushed for thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs.

Joseph seemed like a pleasant enough guy. However, he quoted me a repair price of $6,500 to replace the coil box inside the house and the outside unit! He told me the tray inside the coil box was probably cracked. Eventually, his boss talks to me on the phone and says he can lower it to $6,250. I tell him I need to think about it. I end up getting two other estimates. Both said the problem was clogged pvc pipes. I end up having it completely resolved for $365. Can't trust them. Get at least two other estimates or at the very least don't bother calling them.

We purchased a HVAC system for more than $10,500 from him which he incorrectly installed in our home. Not only did he not fess up to his mistake, but he sold us other options to make more profit from his mistakes. After spending additional thousands more with no resolution, we paid for 4 other HVAC companies to come by our home for a second opinion and all agreed that Chris and his company played us hard. Not only did he install incorrectly, lied and offered us other options for more money, damaged our properties (see pictures attached) and then GHOSTED us when we asked him for a resolution. DO NOT use their services. Read other client reviews who claim he GHOSTS them completely. By the way, even his secretary told us she quit because she does not agree with his business ethics. If Chris' own employees calls him out on his shadiness, then you know you're taking a big risk with his company. He damaged our baby gate, closet ceiling drywall, clothes with paint splatter, and his bunk AC unit damaged our home painting. Please see photos. Please do NOT use their services or you could end up with a big headache. We are currently in the process of taking legal action.

We can't even use our patio while the heater runs because of the condensation that runs out of the heat pump while it operates in heat mode. Chris never said anything about this during consultations, knowing we were coming from a tradition furnace heating system and then tried to sale me on a fix for another $800 after it was installed and I told him about the issue. Those good reviews must be from friends and family because that is not the level of service we encountered, from them starting the job on a Friday, coming back Saturday just to leave again without completing the connection or tell us they were leaving and then ignoring all our calls the rest of the weekend while we suffered in the cold. Chris ghosting us for almost a week, The saving grace was that some of the employees, not the owner took pity on us and let us barrow their space heaters to at least heat a couple rooms in the house until they to could get in contact with their boss and resume work. You know It's bad when employees are calling the customer because they haven't been paid and the entire team leaves the company after a project. Not to mention that during the ordeal and filing a complaint with the CSLB we were told that their license was suspended and they were not allowed to do any work till it was back reinstated. Beware of this company and its owner.

So being CONSIDERATE, I messaged these guys on Yelp from a laptop to provide them an alternate number in case they needed to reach out. The message comes back as they had an emergency schedule issue... So would I have known about this if I didn't reach out? Would I have just been waiting at home for nothing? Photos show a bunch of people that work for the company, and not ONE can come out for a set appointment? I'm giving an freebie star because I know I'm also pissed about my phone and upcoming busy schedule. But this is why I PLAN things out and have backup plans.
