I'm very unhappy with The Attic Guys. They went under my home to seal off all of the visible openings from the crawlspace up into my home. It was my understanding that they were using grating to secure the entire perimeter from under the house on the inside to close all possible entrance points. They also discovered that an opening in the furnace closet outside was their entrance into the sub floor as well as their main hangout. They proceeded to put various bits and pieces of screen around the openings in the furnace closet. I paid a good amount of money for this service and felt satisfied until....I had the county vector control come and do their FREE inspection. The inspector opened the furnace closet and found two openings right in the front that were missed. Then he pointed out a pipe directly below that had plenty of space of space for rats to squeeze through as well as other areas between the house and the concrete driveway. Needless to say I was upset and called them back out. I continued to have a few rats in my home so I called a new exterminator to come out who ran his hand along the siding under my kitchen window to find a three foot long strip of siding that was buckled out leaving a large opening. Needless to say I was upset. They are now here for the third time. These openings were right in the area where they had been working. I don't think there is any excuse for missing them. I believe I paid $1,200 for the service and am very unhappy. I have been ill so to have to deal with this so many months later is just not ok. read more

Ezell did a great job on the estimate and he was very easy to work with and quickly gave me the info I needed to sort out my options. I intended to only buy removal services but I ended up also buying new insulation as well. Credit Ezell. The 3 man removal team also did very good job in our tight attic that was full of old crappy 1969 blown garbage. No damage to our house and everything was left clean. We are having some additional work done in the attic between removal and the new install and the subs love the clean space provided by the attic guys. read more

David and his crew did an excellent job of cleaning out our attic. We had an enormous amount of wood shingle debris from our roof tear off mixed with very old insulation. They spent several hours picking out the wood debris by hand and then thoroughly vacuumed the entire attic. This is something we had been wishing to do for several years and I'm extremely glad we did. I hired this company based on the reviews and guy who came out to give us the quote. it didn't go so smooth after that... Im very unhappy with the experience that I went through with Attic Guys. I had the attic cleaned and new insulation put in. The house has three bedrooms, 1 bathroom. They cracked the ceiling and damaged lights in EVERY room of the house except for the master bedroom. That's right, damaged lights in the kitchen and bath, damaged ceiling in two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, and kitchen. They did "fix" it. the kitchen has 7 canned lights. they broke one and thought it would be ok to just replace the one light so the other 6 didn't match. we came to a compromise and I bought 3 of the lights and they bought three. They also replaced two lights in the bathroom AFTER the ceiling was repaired and re-damaged the ceiling. I don't even care at this point. I don't want to deal with them any more but the drywall is ripped and paint is missing again now. They changed the lights from stainless to white in the bathroom but I don't care about that either because im tired of dealing with it. Overall, not happy. I have more houses and was even going to hire them for my home in fullerton because we need insulation but not now. disappointing to say the least. I work for an HVAC repair company and my guys are in attics all the time as well. We never knock lights out and break them or crack ceilings. I hope that in the future, the team that is up there takes more caution. I imagine it happens a lot though since you have contractors contracted to go out and fix the issues that come up. read more

In spite of their friendly and polite crews, using Attic Guys was a frustrating and disappointing experience. They were hired to remove asbestos ductwork, clear attic debris and old insulation, re-insulate the attic, put in new ductwork, and put a radiant barrier in the garage. Unfortunately, some of the work was shoddy and incomplete. Different insulation was brought than what was specified. A foot through the ceiling resulted in a sloppy repair that needed additional work. Two attic access points were left dirty and/or damaged, requiring repair and fresh paint. Some ductwork was not completely removed until it was pointed out. Part of the attic was left uninsulated until it was pointed out. Some of the new ductwork was left unconnected, until it was pointed out. These problems were all noticed after the work should have been completely done. After the weather cooled and the furnace was turned on, additional problems became obvious. A large duct, that previously ran to five rooms, was reduced in size and connected to a single vent in the living room, resulting in massive airflow after an initial blast of loose insulation. The small duct that should have serviced the living room was connected to ducts leading to five rooms resulting in negligible airflow. A large portion for those ducts needed to be redone. Punctuality was seriously lacking--the worst case being a 10 a.m.-1 p.m. appointment that didn't start until after 4 p.m. An entire day wasted waiting for them to show up to do work that should have already been completed. This was after already complaining about a previous late appointment, and assurances that they would be on time. Based on my experience, If you hire them, expect a lack of communication, late arrivals, and crawling through the attic yourself to see what actually did and didn't get done. They did offer to fix many of the problems (and did put in the last of the insulation), but after long waits and poor work, it was easier and less frustrating to have someone else finish the job. I wish I'd used someone else for all the work. read more

Hello, Attic Guys came out about 2 years ago, to redo our entire attic including insulation, duct work and pest prevention. Some of the vents were replaced too. The job appeared to have been performed professionally. A recent appraisal inspection brought to light that the duct joints were not installed properly and mastic tape was not used. I informed Attic guys and they were kind enough to come out and correct the issues identified. 3 weeks ago, insulation started seeping through the vents. We were alarmed and notified Attic Guys right away. They told me the warranty was only 2 years and I missed it by a couple months. However, they were kind enough to come and check things out. They noticed a couple holes, closed them and told me that insulation may still seep out until it clears from the ducts. They informed us it was a rodent doing the damage. I told them how could that be since I paid extra for pest proofing. In any case, it's been 5 weeks and insulation is still popping out of the ducts. Frustrated, I shut off the heat and left them a voicemail to please assist us. No updates yet. Unfortunately, it does not appear that these folks honor their warranties or stand by their work. read more

We had The attic guys come out to clean out our attic. Lenell and his crew were so thorough and clean. They worked in the rain and yet left no mess behind. We had a new AC system put in and they were impressed at the cleaning and sealing etc. After our AC install we called back to have new insulation put in. Lenell and his partner had everything taped off and covered. The attic looks so good. And our heater didn't come on once last night. The temperature in our house maintained through the night! The Crew is like a tight run ship! Setting up floor protection and plastic for tunnels thru the house was impressive. The vacuuming process, Baffling Vents, sanitizing and Rodent proofing was extensive. The Team effort for all of this and Pumping in the new insulation was great. One piece of equipment outside was removing all of the attic debris. The other was pumping in the new Owens-Corning. The crew was careful not to damage anything. If you want help cleaning up your attic these guys are the best. About a year ago we bought a 1950s bungalow that we knew needed a little work. We couldn't proceed, though, until we located the source of a nasty smell: rats. They were long gone but they left behind: poo, pee, skeletons, fur, and carcasses. Yes, this crew cleaned up the attic. But best of all, they were professional, competent and quick. They protected the air through filtration and they all wore protective gear. They ensured that none of the air passed into my house. They checked and screened all holes and entry points. I haven't had such a positive, can-do bunch of guys here since that crew. I had Attic Guys come out to my residence about 8 months ago. I needed them to finish cleaning my attic, which was infested for 5 years, prior to me moving in. When they came out they were very professional and did the job to my satisfaction. They gave me a guarantee for 1 year. If the rats came back they would clean up the dropping. Well, my house is 100 years old and those rats always find their way into the attic. When they came back, I called Attic Guys and they stood by their guarantee. They sent a technician "Brandon" who was very professional. "Brandon" told me he located some addition area where they may be coming in and addressed the problem. Having dealt with several businesses over my career I can sense when things are managed badly. My spidy senses were tingling big time during the 2 weeks it took to set up my service: too many people and too many phone numbers to deal with... Attic Guys lack of getting back to me in a timely fashion with some basic information... talking to the salesman(we'll just name E) to finalize something then having their office call back 8 hrs later asking to finalize the same matter because E obviously never followed through, not once but twice... they really wanted to use "blown in" insulation because it's easier to install and I really wanted to use "rolled in" insulation for several reasons. I had to insist on this way too many times... and finally, they have an "F" rating with the BBB. I called Attic Guys for rodent control, removing and installing new insulation, and a new attic ladder. We used the rolled in insulation but I can't really tell how well the insulation was done because it's tossed around so willy-nilly I can't see any of the studs to place my feet. Also the attic ladder isn't finished to have proper access yet. The original service was over 2 weeks ago and even though the tech(we'll call him B) spent over 14 hrs on 2 visits installing the new attic ladder, he's still not finished. B is back for the third time today to try and finish it off. Of course after the last 9 hours he spent working on the ladder(the second time) and said we're all set, it would have been nice if he let me know he wasn't finished yet. Specifically since he told me twice while he was here he would be taking care of a wiring issue with a new box. He never repaired it and DIDN'T tell me it wasn't repaired before he left. I expressed concerns to E about B and his ability to take care of several issues, but according to B, E never talked to him about it. B even told me the reason for the work being so poor the first day was that he didn't have all the right tools required because the office let him know about the job at the last second. Like I said, no communication between the employees, no communication between the office and their employees, and no communication between the salespeople/techs and their customer. I started out being a little skeptical when they missed showing up for an appointment which I had set a week and a half prior. They had even called and emailed a confirmation. A salesman Brian ended up coming about an hour or so later. I wasn't able to be there myself but he called me afterwards to follow up and sent me a quote right away. The price was very fair (I had other quotes). We were able to schedule the very next day for the vacuuming out. The three man crew showed up 15min before the expected time. Again, I wasn't home and didn't get their names but, they were very courteous and polite. They papered the floors and hung plastic on all the walls. The job they did was exceptional and clean! These guys did a wonderful job. We had had rats in our attic periodically over the years. Every time we thought all the holes were plugged, they'd find another way in, and the attic was a terrible mess. Attic Guys found the hole and plugged it, vacuumed out 20 years of droppings, and debris from a remodel, replaced insulation, and it's cleaner than when we moved in. The guys just left after a 2-day job at my house. My attic was grossly infested with rats, birds, blown-in insulation, old rolled insulation and loads of remnants of the old wood shake roof - - - all of which were there prior to us owning our home! When Ron came out to give me a quote, he spent well over 15 minutes in the attic - crawled around (maneuvering around a bunch of ductwork all over the place) unlike Rodent Stop who just peeked his head in and left. The guys (Adrian, Kyle and Dante) were AMAZING!!! They sealed up my house so no dust/debris, etc. would get anywhere, they worked tirelessly to get everything done - only took 1 short 30 minute break for lunch and cleaned up so well that you could not even tell anyone was here. We recently have heard sounds in our attic and called another company who have found that we have rats again! After spending almost $4,000 at Attic Guys, we already have rats again a few years later. The Attic Guys did not properly seal our Attic cents and used a foam material that rats can eat away at instead of cement. The new company found various issues with the way the work was done and that is why we are dealing with this issue all over again. I felt compelled to write an update. I still stand by my initial assessment of the Attic Guys personnel being very polite and professional. However, I have had to call them back about 5-6 times since the initial service in order to rat proof my house because they are STILL getting in. They come within a week of my call, they plug up more holes, but the rats are still coming in somehow. Unfortunately the Attic Guys were unable to resolve my rodent issue and I have given up hope that they ever will. I feel like I wasted money because the problem persists. read more

We bought a new house only to discover abundant rat droppings in the attic that evidently had been accumulating for years. The inspector said it was the worst case he had ever seen, calling it "10 on a scale of 1 to 10". It needed work which was clearly beyond anything I could do. Someone recommended the Attic Guys, so I called them, spoke to Lew to get a general idea, and he quickly sent out Alfredo who spent a good amount of time inspecting and understanding the problem. The quote seemed a little high at first but after seeing the extent of the project, I now see it was reasonable. More importantly, both I and my general contractor checked up on the workers several times and we are in agreement The Attic Guys did the job that needed to be done. The house now is noticeably cooler on hot days (due to R38 insulation), the infestation has been totally remediated, and we can move on knowing the attic is in good shape. The crew was clean, respectful, and polite every step of the way, and they made sure that I carefully confirmed no damage whatsoever to the ceiling drywall. After a big rainstorm a couple years back, I called a roofer and he went into the attic of my 65 year old house to check things out. When he came down, I asked him what he found. He said, " lots of rats having a big party-----there's urine and rat droppings everywhere!!". Needless to say, I was very eager get it cleaned out. After talking to three companies, I picked the Attic Guys because its bid was substantially lower than the others. I can recommend them because of the quality of their work and their customer service. The crew arrived on time and ready to work They were in my home for several days, and were consistently polite and considerate. Cleaning out an attic full of rats, urine and droppings, along with a ton of wet insulation is a very messy job. Yet they managed to remove everything without any disturbance to my home. After they blew in new insulation, the job foreman provided paperwork for me to get a tax credit----something I wouldn't have known about if he didn't tell me. A couple years later, another inspection of my attic (again for roof problems) revealed some "tunnels" in the insulation , suggesting there might be rats up there. I called the Attic Guys and they sent someone to check things out. He set some traps and came back again to check them. Sending a man to check for rats was terrific customer service.
